Notification Sound Not Routing to Bluetooth / External Speakers Consistently
Hello Apple Developer Support, We are observing inconsistent behavior with push notification sounds routing to Bluetooth / external speakers. Our app sends push notifications with a custom sound file using the sound parameter in the APNs payload. When an iPhone is connected to a Bluetooth speaker or headphones: On some devices, the notification sound plays through the connected Bluetooth/external speaker. On other devices, the notification sound plays only through the iPhone’s built-in speaker. We also tested with native apps like iMessage and noticed similar behavior — in some cases, notification sounds still play through the phone speaker even when Bluetooth is connected. Media playback (e.g., YouTube or Music) routes correctly to Bluetooth, so the connection itself is functioning properly. We would like clarification on the following: Is this routing behavior expected for push notification sounds? Are notification sounds intentionally restricted from routing to Bluetooth in certain conditions (e.g., device locked, system policy, audio session state)? Is there any supported way to ensure notification sounds consistently route through connected Bluetooth/external speakers? The inconsistent behavior across devices makes it difficult to determine whether this is by design or a configuration issue. Thank you for your guidance.

Inconsistent grouping of notifications
I'm sending push notifications to a notification extension, and within the extension setting the threadIdentifier to be the same. But I'm observing inconsistent grouping behaviour, and behaviour that changes over time. The general iPhone settings are to display notifications as a Stack, and the app settings are to show on lock screen, notification center and banners and the notification grouping is set to by app (changing it to automatic doesn't affect the behaviour below). Pushes are displayed on the lock screen grouped together, then if the device is roused and the screen swiped down to reveal the notification center then they are still grouped. So far so good. If the iphone is active then the notifications appear at the top of the screen, one by one, but in this case if there is a swipe down to reveal the notification center then the notifications are not grouped when displayed, but shown individually. But then if one waits a few minutes and then displays the notification center for a 2nd time, sometimes now they will be grouped, but sometimes not. Why are they not (always) being displayed as grouped in the notification center?

Device token not being extracted - iOS app registered for push notifications but callback methods not called
Background: The project was created in Xcode 5, then recreated in new Xcode. Before migration, push notifications worked without issues, after migration device token stopped being extracted. Problem: iOS app registers for push notifications, but didRegisterForRemoteNotificationsWithDeviceToken or didFailToRegisterForRemoteNotificationsWithError methods are not being called. Current situation: App is registered for push notifications (isRegisteredForRemoteNotifications = true) Notification permissions are granted Entitlements are configured correctly (aps-environment: development) Bundle ID: com.autoserviceonline.app Team: BUSINESSVISION COMPANY, TOO (NS3FSG45V7) But callback methods are not being called What I've already tried: Deleted and recreated all App IDs in Apple Developer Portal Cleared Xcode cache and derived data Created new APNs certificates and provisioning profiles Removed "ghost" certificate from Keychain Access Problem persists Additional information: Also noticed that Push Notifications Console opens non-existent project "BV.TestSwiftData" with Personal Team instead of current corporate App ID com.autoserviceonline.app. These issues might be related to project migration from old Xcode. Request: Why iOS doesn't call callback methods for device token, although registration was successful?

Not receiving apple server notification v2 on production URL
Hello, previously i have tested the purchase via test flight and the server notification was sent to my sandbox url. Now when I made the purchase from live app, my server did not receive any notification even though the production url was the same as the sandbox url. The purchase was for a consumable product. Please help, thanks.

About Delay issues with iPhone VoIP applications
We are encountering the following issue with our VoIP application for iPhone, published on the App Store, and would appreciate your guidance on possible countermeasures. The VoIP application (callee side) utilizes a Wi-Fi network. The sequence leading to the issue is as follows: VoIP App (callee): Launches iPhone (callee): Locks (e.g., by short-pressing the power button) VoIP App (callee): Transitions to a suspended state VoIP App (caller): Initiates a VoIP call VoIP App (callee): Receives a local push notification VoIP App (callee): Answers the incoming call VoIP App (callee): Executes performAnswerCallAction() After this, the VoIP App (callee) uses "NSTimer scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval" to manage internal processing timing. However, the processing sometimes takes longer than the specified waiting time. Specifically, delays of several seconds can occur. We understood that if the user is interacting with the screen and both the iPhone and the VoIP app are in an active state, the VoIP app's processing would not be delayed. However, can significant delays (several seconds) in application processing still occur even when the iPhone is in an active state (i.e., the user is interacting with the screen)?"

Push Notification don't wake up my app
Hi everyone, We're experiencing an issue with our Flutter app that uses PushKit, CallKit, and Janus for handling VoIP calls. Everything works fine when the app is in the foreground, but when the app is in the background or completely closed (terminated state), the behavior is inconsistent: Sometimes, incoming calls are received as expected. Other times, the app does nothing, and the call is not delivered at all. Upon checking the console logs, we noticed that our app is being canceled (terminated by the system), which seems to be the reason why calls are not coming through. This happens randomly, making it difficult to reproduce consistently. Additional Details: The app is configured to handle VoIP notifications correctly. We are using PushKit to wake up the app and trigger CallKit for the incoming call UI. When the app is active, calls are handled correctly via Janus WebRTC signaling. We have verified that background modes for VoIP are enabled in the Info.plist. We suspect that iOS may be aggressively killing the app in the background, preventing incoming call notifications from reaching it. Questions: Has anyone experienced similar behavior with PushKit + CallKit on recent iOS versions? Could iOS be terminating the app due to background execution policies? Are there recommended best practices to ensure reliable delivery of VoIP notifications when the app is closed? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Carplay not read incoming chat message like whats app.
We have implemented Carplay in our voip based project and in this we have implemented Incoming call and chat notification feature for Carplay. For Carplay we implemented siri. Unable to connect to APNS sandbox endpoint
I am unable to connect to APNs sandbox push endpoint from our backend servers. It works fine when hitting the request from my local machine but it fails from the infra servers. CarPlay notifications unsupported for Driving Task apps in iOS 18.6
I have my app configured as a Driving Task app with the entitlement and provisioning profile correctly set up. I am also requesting the ".carPlay" notification authorization option and setting up the carplay notification category with the ".allowInCarPlay" category, both without error. When testing with the iPhone and carplay simulators the user notifications I send are appearing on the phone but not in carplay. When I check the notification settings with UNUserNotificationCenter.current().getNotificationSettings() I see that carplay is shown to be not supported ("carPlaySetting: NotSupported"). The CarPlay Developer Guide 2025-06-09 (which is the version currently referenced in the Apple docs) states that "Starting in iOS 18.4, notifications are also supported in CarPlay driving task apps". Has this discrepancy been addressed anywhere, or is this an open issue? My software versions: MacOS: Sequoia 15.6 XCode: 16.4 iPhone Simulator: iPhone 16 with iOS 18.6

Remote Notifications delayed on device
We have been getting several reports in the past 2 weeks of APNs notifications being either heavily delayed or not delivered at all. We have two apps, one of which has a Notification Service Extension and one of which does not. We have had users of both reporting sporadic notification problems. Looking at the sysdiagnose logs from one example, it looks like the notification was actually processed by our notification extension in a timely fashion, but was not displayed to the user. An example event we investigated it the following (now perhaps a little long in the tooth): 2025-10-31T14:32:54 apnsId=EE3E002D-26DE-B4F5-5E9B-5E0C1E1B6B3D We think we have correlated this with device logs: default 2025-10-31 10:32:54.472054 -0400 [EDE9521D-8A65-4588-8AE8-D3D78B9E5EA5] Received replacement content for notification request 859D-ABC7 [ hasContent: 1 attachments: 0 ] However there is no other reference until the app was launched about 1.5 minutes later: default 2025-10-31 10:34:26.875327 -0400 [..] Got 1 delivered notifications [ hasCompletionHandler: 1 ] When trying to reproduce, when I saw notifications bannered, the trace I saw was "Got 0 delivered notifications". What's the significance of "Got 1 delivered notifications" in this case? Historically, SpringBoard logs have shown detailed trace about the handling of notifications (which was very useful in narrowing down the slowness of notifications due to Apple Intelligence, reported on our side as FB16253547, which doesn't seem to have been triaged but it looks like was resolved around iOS 18.2.1 or iOS 18.3); however it seems that now sysdiagnoses are only containing <1 minute of trace from SpringBoard. Is there any way to extend the trace from SpringBoard that is included in sysdiagnoses? I see there was also https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/806367 around the same time we started receiving reports. However I think my hypothesis is that this is a client-side issue, and notifications are being delivered to devices, just not presented correctly. Will try and collect a bit more data and file some Feedbacks and provide them here, but wanted to also flag here in case there are any others experiencing similar.

Critical Messages Allow messages to
I am creating an app that uses critical messages, I have been granted this entitlement and I am adding the certificate and in the info.plist. In the app I request authorization to send messages to specific numbers. When I try the app in production from Xcode this works fine and I can send the critical messages. However, when I am using the app in the test flight the authorization does not seem to be remembered on the background. Moreover, I go to security/privacy settings and I grant permission to the selected number (I see that it only shows one number even when I have to granted, its like it removes the previous one) however when I exit the setting page the permission is reset (and therefore denied), I think this is a bug. Can you look into that. Both this removing granted permission (HIGH PRIORITY, this message can only be sent in the background, therefore the user can not grant it and why the maximum telephone number to be granted to send messages is reset also to a single one LOWER PRIORITY). Questions for AlarmKit
We are so interested in AlarmKit which is presented at WWDC25. While we planning our app using AlarmKit, We had a few questions come to mind and were hoping you could provide some clarity. Please excuse the rather long list of questions, as we don't currently have a device available to test these features ourselves. System Actions Related Is there a limit to the number of alarms that can be scheduled using AlarmKit? Are alarms scheduled with AlarmKit persistent across device reboots? When an alarm is dismissed (either by swiping or pressing the power button), can our app detect this action and execute code in response? Can we control the behavior of the physical Lock Screen buttons when an AlarmKit alarm is active, for instance, to trigger a snooze action? Does AlarmKit function correctly during Do Not Disturb or Low Power Mode? What is the expected behavior when an alarm from our app (using AlarmKit) overlaps with an alarm from another app that also uses AlarmKit? Which one is going to get its priority? Discrepancy between App Store Server API `expiresDate` and iOS Settings subscription expiration date
I am developing an iOS app that uses App Store Server API (v2) for auto-renewable subscriptions. I noticed a discrepancy between the expiration date returned by the API and the date displayed in iPhone Settings > Subscriptions: App Store Server API expiresDate: 2025-09-12T12:10:25 (KST) iOS Settings > Subscriptions: 2025-09-11 (one day earlier) My understanding: The API’s expiresDate is the precise UTC timestamp. The Settings UI might display the "last full calendar day" for UX purposes. Questions: Is this behavior (UI showing one day earlier) an intentional Apple policy? If so, is there any official documentation or guideline explaining this behavior? Should developers always rely on the API’s expiresDate for subscription state management? This discrepancy is confusing for both developers and end users, so any clarification or official reference would be greatly appreciated.

Limit on consecutive push notifications (normal and critical alerts)
Hi, We have a use case where our app needs to send repeated push notifications (both normal and critical alerts) to inform the user about a critical device state and grab their attention. Since iOS doesn’t allow us to schedule local notifications beyond 30 seconds, I need to send multiple pushes from the server side. My questions are: Is there any documented limit on how many push notifications can be sent back-to-back before Apple starts throttling or restricting them? Are critical alerts treated differently from normal notifications in terms of delivery restrictions or frequency limits? Is there a recommended approach for handling scenarios where repeated urgent notifications are necessary to keep the user informed? I want to make sure I’m following Apple’s guidelines and not risking rejection during review.

AlarmKit alarm UI strings are lost after updating OS
I have a working AlarmKit app, but I've noticed that after any iOS update (e.g. the 26.0.1 update from a few days ago), my scheduled alarms seem to lose their UI strings, so instead of the Stop button saying "Stop", it says "alarm_ui_stop_button" (which is my localization key for the button text). If I delete the alarm and re-add it, then it works again... until the next software update. It seems like OS updates are interfering with the link between scheduled alarms and app localization strings, which I believe are dynamically looked up at alarm time (not at configuration time). I am settings the strings in the standard way like this: AlarmManager.AlarmConfiguration( schedule: .fixed(date), attributes: AlarmAttributes<SDAlarmMetadata>( presentation: AlarmPresentation( alert: AlarmPresentation.Alert( title: "alarm_ui_title", stopButton: .init(text: "alarm_ui_stop_button", textColor: .yellow, systemImageName: "xmark") ) ), metadata: SDAlarmMetadata(title: title, subtitle: subtitle), tintColor: .yellow ), sound: .default ) Has anyone else noticed this or found a workaround? UNNotificationAttachment Sub-Optimal File Type Check
UNNotificationAttachment convenience init method seems to be checking for supported file types based on the extension of the file URL provided as a constructor parameter. This seems to be sub-optimal at best and incorrect at worst. Is this is a known issue for which a bug already exists?

Carplay not read incoming chat message like whats app.
We have implemented Carplay in our voip based project and in this we have implemented Incoming call and chat notification feature for Carplay. For Carplay we implemented siri. Siri Object donated Successfully in Notification service Extension when notification didreceive method called. Even we enabled announcement using .allowAnnouncement. We also tried to save same sender in contact Book because sometime siri search contact and not found then may be raise this type of issue. So we need code level support for read incoming message in carplay when notification comes. Thank you.

Unable to connect to APNS sandbox endpoint
I am unable to connect to APNs sandbox push endpoint from our backend servers. It works fine when hitting the request from my local machine but it fails from the infra servers. CarPlay notifications unsupported for Driving Task apps in iOS 18.6
I have my app configured as a Driving Task app with the entitlement and provisioning profile correctly set up. I am also requesting the ".carPlay" notification authorization option and setting up the carplay notification category with the ".allowInCarPlay" category, both without error. When testing with the iPhone and carplay simulators the user notifications I send are appearing on the phone but not in carplay. When I check the notification settings with UNUserNotificationCenter.current().getNotificationSettings() I see that carplay is shown to be not supported ("carPlaySetting: NotSupported"). The CarPlay Developer Guide 2025-06-09 (which is the version currently referenced in the Apple docs) states that "Starting in iOS 18.4, notifications are also supported in CarPlay driving task apps". Has this discrepancy been addressed anywhere, or is this an open issue? My software versions: MacOS: Sequoia 15.6 XCode: 16.4 iPhone Simulator: iPhone 16 with iOS 18.6

Remote Notifications delayed on device
We have been getting several reports in the past 2 weeks of APNs notifications being either heavily delayed or not delivered at all. We have two apps, one of which has a Notification Service Extension and one of which does not. We have had users of both reporting sporadic notification problems. Looking at the sysdiagnose logs from one example, it looks like the notification was actually processed by our notification extension in a timely fashion, but was not displayed to the user. An example event we investigated it the following (now perhaps a little long in the tooth): 2025-10-31T14:32:54 apnsId=EE3E002D-26DE-B4F5-5E9B-5E0C1E1B6B3D We think we have correlated this with device logs: default 2025-10-31 10:32:54.472054 -0400 [EDE9521D-8A65-4588-8AE8-D3D78B9E5EA5] Received replacement content for notification request 859D-ABC7 [ hasContent: 1 attachments: 0 ] However there is no other reference until the app was launched about 1.5 minutes later: default 2025-10-31 10:34:26.875327 -0400 [..] Got 1 delivered notifications [ hasCompletionHandler: 1 ] When trying to reproduce, when I saw notifications bannered, the trace I saw was "Got 0 delivered notifications". What's the significance of "Got 1 delivered notifications" in this case? Historically, SpringBoard logs have shown detailed trace about the handling of notifications (which was very useful in narrowing down the slowness of notifications due to Apple Intelligence, reported on our side as FB16253547, which doesn't seem to have been triaged but it looks like was resolved around iOS 18.2.1 or iOS 18.3); however it seems that now sysdiagnoses are only containing <1 minute of trace from SpringBoard. Is there any way to extend the trace from SpringBoard that is included in sysdiagnoses? I see there was also https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/806367 around the same time we started receiving reports. However I think my hypothesis is that this is a client-side issue, and notifications are being delivered to devices, just not presented correctly. Will try and collect a bit more data and file some Feedbacks and provide them here, but wanted to also flag here in case there are any others experiencing similar.

Critical Messages Allow messages to
I am creating an app that uses critical messages, I have been granted this entitlement and I am adding the certificate and in the info.plist. In the app I request authorization to send messages to specific numbers. When I try the app in production from Xcode this works fine and I can send the critical messages. However, when I am using the app in the test flight the authorization does not seem to be remembered on the background. Moreover, I go to security/privacy settings and I grant permission to the selected number (I see that it only shows one number even when I have to granted, its like it removes the previous one) however when I exit the setting page the permission is reset (and therefore denied), I think this is a bug. Can you look into that. Both this removing granted permission (HIGH PRIORITY, this message can only be sent in the background, therefore the user can not grant it and why the maximum telephone number to be granted to send messages is reset also to a single one LOWER PRIORITY). Questions for AlarmKit
We are so interested in AlarmKit which is presented at WWDC25. While we planning our app using AlarmKit, We had a few questions come to mind and were hoping you could provide some clarity. Please excuse the rather long list of questions, as we don't currently have a device available to test these features ourselves. System Actions Related Is there a limit to the number of alarms that can be scheduled using AlarmKit? Are alarms scheduled with AlarmKit persistent across device reboots? When an alarm is dismissed (either by swiping or pressing the power button), can our app detect this action and execute code in response? Can we control the behavior of the physical Lock Screen buttons when an AlarmKit alarm is active, for instance, to trigger a snooze action? Does AlarmKit function correctly during Do Not Disturb or Low Power Mode? What is the expected behavior when an alarm from our app (using AlarmKit) overlaps with an alarm from another app that also uses AlarmKit? Which one is going to get its priority? Discrepancy between App Store Server API `expiresDate` and iOS Settings subscription expiration date
I am developing an iOS app that uses App Store Server API (v2) for auto-renewable subscriptions. I noticed a discrepancy between the expiration date returned by the API and the date displayed in iPhone Settings > Subscriptions: App Store Server API expiresDate: 2025-09-12T12:10:25 (KST) iOS Settings > Subscriptions: 2025-09-11 (one day earlier) My understanding: The API’s expiresDate is the precise UTC timestamp. The Settings UI might display the "last full calendar day" for UX purposes. Questions: Is this behavior (UI showing one day earlier) an intentional Apple policy? If so, is there any official documentation or guideline explaining this behavior? Should developers always rely on the API’s expiresDate for subscription state management? This discrepancy is confusing for both developers and end users, so any clarification or official reference would be greatly appreciated.

Limit on consecutive push notifications (normal and critical alerts)
Hi, We have a use case where our app needs to send repeated push notifications (both normal and critical alerts) to inform the user about a critical device state and grab their attention. Since iOS doesn’t allow us to schedule local notifications beyond 30 seconds, I need to send multiple pushes from the server side. My questions are: Is there any documented limit on how many push notifications can be sent back-to-back before Apple starts throttling or restricting them? Are critical alerts treated differently from normal notifications in terms of delivery restrictions or frequency limits? Is there a recommended approach for handling scenarios where repeated urgent notifications are necessary to keep the user informed? I want to make sure I’m following Apple’s guidelines and not risking rejection during review.

AlarmKit alarm UI strings are lost after updating OS
I have a working AlarmKit app, but I've noticed that after any iOS update (e.g. the 26.0.1 update from a few days ago), my scheduled alarms seem to lose their UI strings, so instead of the Stop button saying "Stop", it says "alarm_ui_stop_button" (which is my localization key for the button text). If I delete the alarm and re-add it, then it works again... until the next software update. It seems like OS updates are interfering with the link between scheduled alarms and app localization strings, which I believe are dynamically looked up at alarm time (not at configuration time).
