Advanced commerce API - dynamic subscriptions
Hello, We have been approved for the Advanced commerce API and we are trying to implement dynamically created subscriptions via the SubscriptionCreateRequest. We followed the Sending Advanced Commerce API requests from your app (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/sending-advanced-commerce-api-requests-from-your-app) documentation but we are not able to make it work correctly. We created a generic subscription in the Appstore connect, product ID: com.example.subscription Then in the app we load the subscription: try await Product.products(for: ["com.example.subscription"]) We do the JWS serialization on our backend and then we wrap the jwt and convert it to Data in the app as this: let request = """ { "signatureInfo": { "token": "\(result.signedPayload)" } } """ let advancedCommerceRequestData = Data(request.utf8) Lastly, we apply the purchase options on the generic product as this: try await product.purchase( options: [ Product.PurchaseOption.custom( key: "advancedCommerceData", value: advancedCommerceRequestData ) ] ) It doesn't show any error, but on the payment sheet it shows the data from the generic subscription and not the data that was in the SubscriptionCreateRequest. Here is an example of the generated jwt: eyJraWQiOiI4V0tNQjhLWTI0IiwidHlwIjoiSldUIiwiYWxnIjoiRVMyNTYifQ.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.kJ0f_q2A11Mn9OBmvX6SRmtW5P--volFTVcq_Gohs3N51ECfZqS3WHOxOZc7aojq_qiUHGFp_evmHP51f3LzSw

"This in-app purchase has already been bought" Error and SSL Failure on Restore
There is a project that has been running online for years. A few months ago, a player reported that after making their first successful IAP at a specific purchase point, any subsequent attempts to purchase the same item do not trigger the payment window. Instead, they get the error:"This in-app purchase has already been bought".After contacting Apple Support once, the player was able to make a payment, but the issue reappeared on the next attempt. So far, this is the only user reporting the problem, other people can purchase normally. Question1: Here’s what I’ve tried: I reviewed the code and ensured that TransactionObserveris correctly called. I’ve also added **[[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] finishTransaction:transaction]**in all possible places, but the issue persists. According to the logs, after the user’s first purchase, every subsequent IAP attempt returns the same receipt from the initial successful transaction, even though I’m certain finishTransactionis being called. It seems like this method isn’t having the intended effect. Question2: I asked the player to manually trigger the Restore Purchases button by calling [[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] restoreCompletedTransactions]. the restoreCompletedTransactionsFailedWithErrorcallback returned the following error: Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1200 "An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made." The player has already checked their device time and tried switching between Wi-Fi and 4G, but the error remains. Is this SSL error related to the "already bought" error? Note that this SSL issue occurred during a separate restore process, not during a purchase attempt. Question: 3: I noticed that I’m not calling finishTransaction inside the restoreCompletedTransactionsFailedWithErrorcallback. Should I add it there? Purchase Logs: The player clicked "Restore Purchases" and then attempted another purchase. The purchase flow appears normal, but the IAP returns an old, already-used receipt. RevenueCat Error: None of the products registered in the RevenueCat dashboard could be fetched from App Store Connect
Hi, I am experiencing an issue where my in-app purchase products cannot be fetched from App Store Connect during sandbox testing, despite all products being properly configured. ERROR MESSAGE: When testing on a physical iOS device, I receive the following error: "Error fetching offerings - The operation couldn't be completed. (RevenueCat.OfferingsManager.Error error 1.) There's a problem with your configuration. None of the products registered in the RevenueCat dashboard could be fetched from App Store Connect (or the StoreKit Configuration file if one is being used)." All products show status "READY_TO_SUBMIT" with the warning: "This product's status (READY_TO_SUBMIT) requires you to take action in App Store Connect before using it in production purchases." I have 2 subscriptions and 4 Consumable in-app purchases set up in App Store Connect. VERIFICATION COMPLETED: Bundle ID matches exactly in App Store Connect, Xcode project, and RevenueCat dashboard Product IDs match exactly between App Store Connect, RevenueCat, and application code Paid Applications Agreement is signed and active (Signed on 12/9 morning, everything shows as active) All products are in "Ready to Submit" status with complete metadata All products are properly linked to the app in App Store Connect Testing on physical iOS device (not simulator) with sandbox account signed in via Settings > Developer section Products have been in "Ready to Submit" status for 8 hours I have researched this error and verified the common causes (Paid Agreements, Product ID mismatches, Bundle ID mismatches) are all correctly configured on my end. QUESTION: Is this an issue on Apple's end, or are there additional requirements for products in "Ready to Submit" status to be available in sandbox testing? I have been unable to test my in-app purchases despite all configuration appearing correct. Thank you for your assistance.

can not verify receipt
I have three questions about verify receipt I use this api (https://buy.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt)to verify receipt is success or not. But since last month, this interface has started to return an error(21002). I see this document (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstorereceipts/verifyreceipt) say its Deprecated. My question is, is the error suddenly returned recently because the interface has been deprecated or for some other reason? (I haven't modified my code about this recently) I can not understand this document: (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstorereceipts/validating_receipts_on_the_device) Does this mean that in the new version, as long as the app returns a payment success (purchaseDetails.status == PurchaseStatus.purchased), the payment is guaranteed to be successful, and my server does not need to request payment result verification from Apple's server? I try to use this (https://github.com/apple/app-store-server-library-java) to get TransactionInfo, but I dont konw to get Transaction status to know is success or not. my java server code : AppStoreServerAPIClient client = new AppStoreServerAPIClient(encodedKey, keyId, issuerId, bundleId, environment); TransactionInfoResponse response = client.getTransactionInfo(transactionId); (bug i can note get transaction status, how do i konw this Transaction is success or not)

Guideline 2.5.1 - Performance - Software Requirements
Hi all, I'm developing fitness app and I use healthkit to track user's "STEPS" count and "Heart Rate" from their iphone devices. I have been receiving this rejection and can't seem to get past this: Guideline 2.5.1 - Performance - Software Requirements The app uses the HealthKit or CareKit APIs but does not clearly identify the HealthKit and CareKit functionality in the app's user interface. Apps using these APIs should be clearly indicated to provide transparency and valuable information to users. Next Steps To resolve this issue, it would appropriate to clearly identify the HealthKit and CareKit functionality in the app's user interface. Resources Learn more about software requirements in guideline 2.5.1. How I tried to Resolve the Issue I have modified my app: adding user permission prompt, adding healthkit notification, adding healthkit indicator in the UI **1. Added a "Permission Primer" Screen (Pre-Alert) ** When a user taps "Connect Apple Health," they are now shown a dedicated explanation screen before the system permission prompt appears. This screen clearly states: "[App] integrates with HealthKit to read your Heart Rate and Steps... to calculate physical exertion." (Please see the "Connect" flow in the Session Detail view). **2. Added Explicit Source Attribution ** I have added a permanent text label reading "Health data sourced from Apple Health" directly below the heart rate and steps statistics on the Session Detail dashboard. This ensures that users always identify the source of the displayed metrics. 3. Deployment Target Correction I identified a configuration error where the Deployment Target was set to a future OS version. I have corrected this to the currently shipping iOS 18 to ensure full compliance with software requirements. 4. App Description Update I have updated the App Store description to explicitly mention the HealthKit integration and its specific purpose (tracking match intensity). However doing the above, I still continue to receive the same review message. When I asked the reviewer what else could be done to satisfy the requirement, I only get boiler plate message above. Anyone know what they really looking for? Any insights is appreciated. Thanks!

subscriptions before submitting a review
We distribute apps that offer auto-renewing subscriptions. In order to test a new service, we would like to create a new subscription group and subscription product (hereinafter referred to as “test subscription”) for this app. If the “In-app purchase statuses” of the test subscription is “Ready to Submit” is the following behavior correct? ・General end users cannot purchase the test subscription. ・Users with SANDBOX Apple accounts can purchase the test subscription.

In app purchase related doubts
My app offers auto renewable subscriptions, I have couple of questions regarding how to model the subscriptions at server side, Is originalTransactionId will ever change for a subscription? Will it stay same in case of subscription upgrade/downgrade/crossgrade? If it changes on product change then how do i keep track that the subscription was a continuous subscription and not a new one? Is the webhook payload contains any identifier of which apple account purchase the subscription? I am having issues maintaining sync between the app account's current subscription and the local apple account's subscription, is there any doc regarding this? Will be really helpful

In iOS 26 beta3 version, the finishTransaction method is unable to remove transactions from the SKPaymentQueue, causing transactions to remain in the queue even after being processed.
We have some users who have upgraded to iOS 26 beta3. Currently, we observe that when these users make in-app purchases, our code calls [[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] finishTransaction:transaction]; method, and we clearly receive the successful removal callback in the delegate method - (void)paymentQueue:(SKPaymentQueue *)queue removedTransactions:(NSArray<SKPaymentTransaction *> *)transactions. However, when users click on products with the same productId again, the method - (void)paymentQueue:(SKPaymentQueue *)queue updatedTransactions:(NSArray *)transactions still returns information about previously removed transactions, preventing users from making further in-app purchases.

Is the following subscription cancellation flow possible for an iOS in-app subscription?
Is the following subscription cancellation flow possible for an iOS in-app subscription? (Note: This is during the feature planning stage, not actual app deployment.) Planned user flow: User taps the “Cancel Subscription” button Display a “Wait a moment!” screen showing how much the user has enjoyed BFLIX content (to encourage retention) User taps “Proceed to Cancel” Collect cancellation reason from the user Redirect the user to the Apple subscription management page to complete cancellation Can this flow be implemented under Apple’s current in-app purchase and App Store Review guidelines?

IAP not available on iOS but on Mac Catalyst (Invalid IAP ID)
After adding furhter IAP Items to my app, none of the products are available for purchase an more on iOS. But it works just fine on the Mac Catalyst app. Logging the request shows that all product IAP IDs are "invalid", even those who already were on sale. Any idea what this can be caused by? Ive already double checked the obvious things like the product IDs on appstoreconnect, bundle ID, tested on different devices, Test Flight etc... Has anyone experienced this already?

StoreKit Product Request Times Out in TestFlight (macOS) Despite Successful Server Connection
Product Timeout, In App purchase is approved in App Store Connect. The Product ID and Bundle ID match. Environment macOS App in TestFlight Bundle ID: com.streamtime.StreamTime App Version: 1.1 (Build 51) StoreKit 2 Product ID: com.streamtime.premium Status: App & Subscription Approved Issue StoreKit product request (Product.products(for:)) consistently times out after 60 seconds in TestFlight, despite all connectivity checks passing. The same code works perfectly in Xcode with local StoreKit configuration. Diagnostic Results ✅ Successful checks: App Store connectivity (HTTP 200 from buy.itunes.apple.com) Backend API connectivity (HTTP 200) StoreKit 2 API available AppStore.canMakePayments: true Valid receipt exists Bundle ID matches Product ID matches approved subscription ❌ Failing: Product request times out after 60 seconds No products returned Code Implementation // Direct product request (fails in TestFlight) let products = try await Product.products(for: ["com.streamtime.premium"]) Logs 🔍 App Bundle ID: com.streamtime.StreamTime 🔍 Product ID: com.streamtime.premium 🔍 AppStore.canMakePayments: true 🔍 Apple Store connectivity: HTTP 200 🔵 Direct request for product ID: 'com.streamtime.premium' ⏱️ Direct request start time: 2025-08-30 10:21:32 +0000 ❌ TIMEOUT: Product request took longer than 60 seconds What I've Tried Removed manual in-app-purchase entitlement (per Apple's guidance) Using automatic signing Verified subscription is approved in App Store Connect Using Sandbox Apple ID in TestFlight Verified all network connectivity Questions Why does StoreKit timeout only in TestFlight when all other connectivity works? Are there additional configuration steps needed for macOS apps vs iOS? Could this be related to the automatic in-app purchase entitlement? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as this is blocking our TestFlight validation.

Best current approach to detecting legacy paid app download (without relying on deprecated APIs)?
I’m trying to determine the most appropriate modern method for detecting whether a user originally downloaded a paid app (prior to transitioning the app to freemium/IAP-based access). Historically, this was done by checking for a valid App Store receipt and using SKReceiptRefreshRequest to ensure a fresh one was available. However, SKReceiptRefreshRequest and many related aspects of StoreKit receipt handling are now deprecated in iOS 17+. The current Apple documentation on receipt validation still refers to SKReceiptRefreshRequest, which makes things unclear. With so many deprecations and the push toward StoreKit 2, what’s the recommended path to: Check for a valid App Store receipt Confirm that the app was originally purchased (as a paid app, not via IAP) Persist this info to exempt the user from paywalling the app in the future I don’t need to validate purchases of IAPs — just to detect a legacy paid app download. Any guidance on best practice for this use case, preferably using non-deprecated APIs (StoreKit 2 or otherwise), would be appreciated.

in-app purchases suddenly appear as unpurchased.
We have received reports from users that their in-app purchases suddenly appear as unpurchased. We would like to know the cause of this issue. Our implementation does not use a server; purchases are determined solely on the client side. These reports often occur after updating the app version, but we have been unable to reproduce the issue in our development environment.

Strange Pattern of Subscriptions + Refunds — Possible Abuse?
Hi everyone, I'm an indie developer and recently noticed some odd behavior in my app's subscription metrics. There’s been a sudden spike in annual subscriptions, which is very unusual for my app — historically, users rarely choose that option. What’s more concerning is that these subscriptions are almost immediately canceled and refunded. Upon checking analytics (RevenueCat + App Store Connect), I also noticed inconsistencies in user location data: users appear to be from one region (like Singapore), but deeper tracking shows actual usage from Vietnam, a market I’ve never targeted and where I do no advertising. This behavior seems coordinated and is affecting my app’s refund rate, which I worry could raise red flags on the App Store side. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Is there a recommended way to report suspicious subscription/refund activity to Apple or prevent potential abuse like this? Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!

How to test "Remove from Sale" for subscriptions in Sandbox?
I want to test the "Remove from Sale" scenario in Sandbox. I set my subscription to "Remove from Sale" for all territories in App Store Connect, but I can still make new purchases and auto-renewals continue in the Sandbox environment. Is this a known limitation? Or is there a specific way to make this work for testing? If it can't be tested, I'd like to know the expected production behavior. What changes occur in the App Receipt and what App Store Server Notification is sent?

・Users with SANDBOX Apple accounts can purchase the test subscription.

iOS 26 still using apple ID for in app purchases when logged out of media and purchases on device
For testing purposes, I log out of media and purchases to use sandbox ID's to test in app purchases. Once I log out of media and purchases in device settings, in app purchases is still using my real apple ID, I'm not being prompted anymore to log into a sandbox ID for purchases.

Display frequency of the winback offer sheet
Could you tell me about the specifications of the winback offer? If a user is eligible for the winback offer, will the winback offer sheet be displayed every time the app is launched? Or will the OS adjust the display frequency in some way?
