Digital Wallet - Test devices - Orange Rule
We have tried using multiple test devices to dev and test Digital Wallet provisioning and unable to do it successfully as the rule decision goes into orange flow. This is a blocker for our project involving digial wallet provisioning testing. Is there a way that our test devices could be excluded from hitting orange rule so we can continue with provisioning?

Apple wallet considerations
As a company, we would like to implement digital passes in the Apple Wallet. We're wondering which option we should follow to be able to do so. Our company creates and manages access control devices to put on waste drop-off points. Our goal is to give the opportunity to our final users to unlock these drop-off points with their iphone. A contact told us to use the NFC & SE but this solution seems not to be available in France and not directly integrated with the Apple Wallet. We've seen Apple Wallet Access and Apple Wallet VAS as alternatives but we're not sure any of these two are really matching our usecase. We definitely want our passes to be directly integrated within the wallet, without an app.

Apple wallet order tracking
noticed something here, dont underasand why. but here in Retrieve the registrations for a device in Apple Developer Documentation in Retrieve the registrations for a device. There is no Authorization in the header to include, however, other endpoints support that? Is this header will be sent from Walle? meaning that it has been missed in the documentation ? https://developer.apple.com/documentation/walletorders/retrieve-the-registrations-for-a-device

Where does wallet data (passes) reside
Hello i am developing an apple wallet coupon/store card integration and as each pass will hold sensitive data (tokens referencing access to the monetary amount) i am concerned of the security implications of having a passkit-pass in ios stored as well as in icloud. Documentation is scarce if the pass is also stored on apple servers. It seems to be stored at least temporarily for synching with other devices of the same icloud user. Can you give details to the kind of data, encryption, duration of persistence of the pass data on centralized apple servers? Best Regards

Unable to Retrieve Existing Card Status from Apple Wallet
Hi, We are able to successfully perform in-app provisioning and add cards to the native wallet. However, we are unable to retrieve the existing card status from the wallet. Even when the card is already added to the device or Apple Watch, the status is always returning as false for both. Could you please let us know if there are any additional configurations, entitlements, or issuer onboarding steps required to retrieve the existing card status from Apple Wallet?

InApp push provisioning
I´m tring to integrate InApp push provisioning but when I send the information from the issuer to SDK to add my debit card to wallet I saw this error: PKPassKitErrorDomain Code 2 error Looking in the forum I found how to see part of the logs to get more detail on the error and I found: POST https://pr-pod9-smp-device.apple.com:443/broker/v4/devices/04131B65D01590022288082867404947F3CCA674C3D41F3C/cards/683986c983984251b9aecfc8ff51d88a/enable 'Error Domain=PKPaymentWebServiceErrorDomain Code=0 "Error inesperado." "Client is not entitled" Error (Code=4) with PKAddShareablePassConfiguration.forPassMetaData Despite Correct Entitlements
Hello, I'm experiencing a critical issue with PassKit's shareable pass functionality. Despite having the necessary entitlements configured, I'm getting an entitlement error when calling PKAddShareablePassConfiguration.forPassMetaData. Failed to create PKAddShareablePassConfiguration: Error Domain=PKPassKitErrorDomain Code=4 "client is not entitled" UserInfo={NSDebugDescription=client is not entitled} private func createPassViewController(from response: PreparePushProvisioningResponse) { guard let passMetadata = PKShareablePassMetadata( provisioningCredentialIdentifier: response.provisioningCredentialIdentifier, cardConfigurationIdentifier: response.cardConfigurationIdentifier, sharingInstanceIdentifier: response.sharingInstanceIdentifier, passThumbnailImage: response.passThumbnailImage, ownerDisplayName: response.ownerDisplayName, localizedDescription: response.localizedDescription ) else { print("Failed to create PKShareablePassMetadata") return } print("PKShareablePassMetadata created successfully") // This is where the error occurs PKAddShareablePassConfiguration.forPassMetaData( [passMetadata], provisioningPolicyIdentifier: "", // Empty as per documentation action: .add ) { (configuration, error) in if let error = error { print("Failed to create PKAddShareablePassConfiguration: \(error)") // Error Domain=PKPassKitErrorDomain Code=4 "client is not entitled" return } guard let config = configuration else { print("PKAddShareablePassConfiguration is nil") return } // other code... } } The push provisioning preparation succeeds completely: Prepare push provisioning succeeded Credential ID: "XXXX-XXXX....." Owner: Teodora Description: Interflex NFC development PKShareablePassMetadata created successfully Then immediately fails at PKAddShareablePassConfiguration.forPassMetaData() with the entitlement error. Xcode Configuration Issues: When manually entering capabilities in Xcode's Signing & Capabilities tab, I receive this error: Provisioning profile "20250929 VIDC QA DEV" doesn't match the entitlements file's value for the com.apple.developer.contactless-payment-pass-provisioning entitlement. Profile qualification is using entitlement definitions that may be out of date. Connect to network to update. When I don't manually enter the capabilities in the Runner.entitlements file, the provisioning profile error disappears in Xcode, but the runtime entitlement error persists.

iOS 26 Wallet Boarding Pass – Control Live Activities and Automatic Flight Updates
Hi everyone, We have recently started distributing iOS 26 Apple Wallet boarding passes, which support new features such as: Live Activities Automatic updates for flight-related information (e.g., gate changes, departure time updates) While these features are useful, we are looking for ways to control or limit some of this behavior. Our requirements Live Activity Control We would like to prevent Live Activities from being automatically shown when a boarding pass is added to Wallet. Automatic Flight Data Updates We would like to control or disable the automatic updates performed by Wallet for flight information. Reason for this requirement We already provide our own Live Activity implementation with more customization, and having two Live Activities leads to a poor user experience. We have observed that Wallet’s automatic updates can sometimes be delayed, and since Wallet overrides our data, we lose control over the displayed information. Question Is there any supported way to: Disable or control Live Activities triggered by Wallet passes? Disable or override Wallet’s automatic flight updates? Or are these behaviors managed entirely by the system with no developer control? Any guidance or documentation references would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Regards,

Tap to Pay on iPhone – question about flow after “Prerequisites”
Hello, I’m trying to better understand the implementation flow for Tap to Pay on iPhone. In a partner onboarding portal (Partner Hub), the process is presented in the following stages: • Registration • Prerequisites • Operations & Setup • Certification • Launch However, it’s not clear what actually changes after completing the “Prerequisites” stage. Questions: After completing “Prerequisites”, are there any changes in terms of entitlements or capabilities provided by Apple? Is access to Tap to Pay functionality enabled at this point, or does it depend on steps outside of Apple’s developer environment? At what stage is the production entitlement typically granted? Is there any Apple-specific action required between “Prerequisites” and “Operations & Setup”? I would appreciate any clarification on how this transition works from Apple’s perspective. Thank you.

Issue with Wallet Popup Despite Pass Presentation Suppression
We have developed an app that communicates with an external reader using BLE, and the reader also supports NFC. We are implementing a feature that uses PKPassLibrary.requestAutomaticPassPresentationSuppression to prevent the Wallet from appearing when unlocking a lock. We have already completed the approval process for the entitlement required to enable Pass Presentation Suppression, referencing Apple’s documentation: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/passkit/pkpasslibrary/requestautomaticpasspresentationsuppression(responsehandler:) In most cases, this works as expected and the Wallet popup does not appear. However, in some cases — particularly when the app is running in the foreground — the Wallet still appears for users. We have verified that the app bundle includes the required entitlement, and the Info.plist correctly specifies the Pass Presentation Suppression key set to true. Could you please help us understand under what conditions this behavior might still occur, or if any additional configuration is required?

Custom HCE payment UI
We are currently developing a wallet solution that uses the iOS EEA HCE API. During the development of our solution we have been unable to identify how we can opt out of using the native HCE payment modal screen or biometric authentication UI so that we can customise the experience to align with our overall customer experience. The only available customisation is a label below the title of the screen which does not meet our needs. Please can you advise how we can opt out of using the native HCE payment modal screen. If it is not possible to opt out of using the native HCE payment modal screen, please can you provide the rationale for this given the Digital Marketing Act interoperability guidelines and EU Commitments in case AT.40452.

PKPassLibrary.requestAutomaticPassPresentationSuppression Behavior
We are implementing a feature that uses PKPassLibrary.requestAutomaticPassPresentationSuppression to prevent the Wallet from appearing when unlocking a lock. We have already completed the approval process for the entitlement to enable Pass Presentation Suppression. In most cases, our code snippet works as expected, and the result is .success. However, we are also encountering other results, such as .denied, .alreadyPresenting, and .cancelled or .notSupported, which cause the Wallet to appear for users. Here's the code snippet we're using: PKPassLibrary.requestAutomaticPassPresentationSuppression { result in logger.log( .info, "PKPassLibrary suppression result: \(result.description)", LogContext.homeFeature ) } I would appreciate clarification on the following points: What's the meaning of each result type (.denied, .alreadyPresenting, .cancelled, .notSupported) beyond what is mentioned in the documentation? The documentation here does not provide additional details. What is the recommended handling for these specific result states? Should we be taking different actions or retries based on each case? Thank you very much for your help. Best, Ramiro.

Apple Wallet Pass is not receiving push notifications
Hi! I have set up an APNS API that sends push notifications to update my Apple Wallet pass. I am using the APN library and a .p8 key for APNS push notifications. I keep getting 200 responses and "sent successfully" logs, but Apple Wallet is not receiving the notification. Which configuration or payload should I check to make it work? Thanks

"Client is not entitled" Error (Code=4) with PKAddShareablePassConfiguration.forPassMetaData Despite Correct Entitlements
