Urgent: Reports of Duplicate Charges via AlipayHK on Apple Pay
We’ve recently observed an escalating number of complaints from AlipayHK users regarding duplicate charges when completing transactions via Apple Pay. While no similar issues have been reported by users of other credit card providers integrated with Apple Pay, the problem appears isolated to AlipayHK transactions. Key Details: Multiple users confirm being charged twice for single transactions. Complaints are increasing in frequency, indicating a potential systemic issue. No overlapping reports from non-AlipayHK payment methods at this time. To safeguard customer trust and ensure seamless payment experiences, we kindly request Apple’s support in: Investigating whether the root cause stems from Apple Pay’s transaction handling. Collaborating with AlipayHK (if necessary) to resolve the issue promptly. Providing guidance on interim measures to prevent further duplicate charges. Could Apple confirm if this is a known issue and share a timeline for resolution? We’re eager to assist in any way possible to mitigate impact on users. Thank you for your urgent attention to this matter.

SubscriptionStoreView not showing free trial offer in release build
I'm using the SwiftUI view SubscriptionStoreView (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/subscriptionstoreview/) with a subscription group that has 2 subscriptions. I set up a free trial offer in App Store Connect (https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/manage-subscriptions/set-up-introductory-offers-for-auto-renewable-subscriptions/). The storekit file in Xcode is synced with the App Store. In debug build, this works and appears correctly, showing the free trial offer: But in release build, the free trial offer is not shown: The code is very simple: SubscriptionStoreView(productIDs: [ "[PRODUCT ID FOR ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION]", "[PRODUCT ID FOR BIMONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION]" ]) Does anyone have a solution? Thank you. (Xcode 16.3, macOS 15.5, iOS 18.5)

Find My Network System
Hey everyone, how’s it going? I’d like to know if, by enrolling in Apple’s MFi program, I’ll gain access to develop my own tags and my own app to track them using Apple’s Find network. I also read that there’s an estimated cost of $4 per device—does that apply to each device produced, or only at the time of registering the device, with no fee for additional units?

Simultaneous Use of PacketTunnelProvider and DNSProxyProvider extensions
Hi! I'm working on a solution (iOS 18) that uses Network Extensions PacketTunnelProvider and Content Filter. Currently I'm trying to integrate it with another extension – DNSProxyProvider. My goal is to process dns queries and use resolved ips and names for additional routing inside of the packet tunnel. I'm running into a major issue: whenever both VPN and DNS proxy are active simultaneously, the device completely loses internet connectivity — no traffic goes through, and DNS resolution seems to stop working entirely. I know about the mdm supervision requirement to use DNSProxyProvider and that's covered as I work with a managed device and install a DNS proxy profile, here's how its .mobileconfig file looks like: The DNS proxy itself works fine when working by itself (without VPN being turned on), as I implemented it that it successfully processes DNS packets flows while collecting information about domains etc, and everything works perfectly. Problems begin when using VPN at the same time. I'm aware that tunnel settings include dns related options that can affect this, but I haven't had much luck with tweaking them. Here's how they look right now for reference: let settings: NEPacketTunnelNetworkSettings = NEPacketTunnelNetworkSettings(tunnelRemoteAddress: "240.0.0.1") // let dnsSettings = NEDNSSettings(servers: "8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4".components(separatedBy: ",")) // dnsSettings.matchDomains = [""] // settings.dnsSettings = dnsSettings settings.proxySettings = nil /* ipv4 settings */ let ipv4Settings = NEIPv4Settings(addresses: ["240.0.0.2"], subnetMasks: ["255.255.255.0"]) ipv4Settings.includedRoutes = [NEIPv4Route.default()] settings.ipv4Settings = ipv4Settings /* MTU */ settings.mtu = 1500 return settings I've tried excluding some dns related ip routes and dns settings shenanigans but nothing. I haven't found any information that might suggest that using both of these extensions at the same time doesn't work, on the contrary, this page in the official documentation about the expected use of packet tunnel provider the expected use of packet tunnel provider, as it talks about the fact that you should not use it for interception of all of DNS traffic, as the use of DNSPRoxyProvider (or dns settings) are built for that, which in my mind, suggests that there should be no problem with using them both and just splitting the dns traffic handling to the proxy. Will be thankful for any help!

Shortcuts: Invalid action metadata
I have a habit tracker app that uses App Intents and Shortcuts. The app uses SwiftData to persist data, just in case that's important. One of the shortcuts serves to log habits. However, when the app has been in the background for a good while (over an hour or so), that particular shortcut always fails when I try to run it in the Shortcuts app with the system error "Invalid action metadata" caused by "a bug in the host app". The app has a total of 9 shortcuts, and it's just this one particular shortcut that seems to be failing – the others continue to run without any issues even after the app has been in the background for a long time. The app intent/shortcut that is problematic is the one called HabitEntryAppIntent. For example purposes, I've also included one of the non-problematic intents in the code snippet below called HabitEntryCounterForTodayAppIntent. Both of these intents have one @Parameter value of type HabitEntity. I'll post code snippets in the replies because the character limit is not large enough to include them here, or view them in this GitHub gist: Code snippets on GitHub I've tried everything I can think of whilst debugging, but none of the following fixed the error: Removed all usage of @MainActor and mainContext by replacing the ModelContext used in perform() with a locally created property. Removed all usage of static shared properties like Calendar.shared and ModelContainer.shared and replaced them with local properties. Removed all non-essential code such as the code for context.undoManager and WidgetManager.shared.reload(.all) and really striped it all down to the absolute essentials. Reduced the number of shortcut phrases in the problematic shortcut because there was perhaps too many (>10) originally. You might have noticed that the perform() method in the problematic intent manipulates the database whilst the non-problematic intent only reads the database. Given that the two intents in the snippet above both have the same @Property(...) var habitEntity: HabitEntity values, I tried to swap the contents of the perform() methods over to see what would happen. And here's what's strange: When the perform() method from the problematic HabitEntryAppIntent is used in HabitEntryCounterForTodayAppIntent, it works without any issues and successfully logs habits! And then when the perform() method from the non-problematic HabitEntryCounterForTodayAppIntent is used in HabitEntryAppIntent it fails with the system error "Invalid action metadata". This suggests that the problem is not in the code that logs the habit entries but rather something is wrong with HabitEntryAppIntent itself. I also tried changing the metadata used in HabitEntryAppIntent and its shortcut. I copied all the metadata used in HabitEntryCounterForTodayAppIntent (the title, description, parameterSummary etc) and pasted it into HabitEntryAppIntent. And did the same with the metadata in the shortcut (phrases, shortTitle etc) so that all the metadata used in HabitEntryAppIntent matched that used in HabitEntryCounterForTodayAppIntent. However, the shortcut for HabitEntryAppIntent continued to fail. Thus, it doesn't seem to be an issue with the code in perform() because that code succeeds when used in another app intent. And, despite the "metadata" error message, it doesn't seem to be an issue with the metadata in the app intent because I've tried using metadata from the non-problematic intent but it still fails. I have watched all WWDC videos related to app intents and shortcuts, and looked through the developer forum for similar questions, but I'm completely stumped by this issue and why it's only affecting one of my shortcuts. Also worth mentioning is that the widgets in the app that log habits using the same app intent do not suffer the same issue; they continue to work even after the Shortcut has failed. Moreover, if I try running the problematic shortcut for HabitEntryAppIntent and see the system error message, then run the shortcut for HabitEntryCounterForTodayAppIntent (which always succeeds), and then try running the HabitEntryAppIntent shortcut again, it then runs successfully on the second attempt. It seems that running HabitEntryCounterForTodayAppIntent fixes the issue, at least temporarily.

Case-ID: 14080335 Push notification requests to iOS devices using APNs (HTTP/2) time out
We are currently developing a WebAPI service that uses APNs (HTTP/2) to send push notifications to iOS devices. (Using PushSharp's HTTP/2 support) The WebAPI service is running on IIS using .net framework 4.8 and c#. The connection to APNs is always maintained, and the connection is checked every 30 minutes using a dummy token Ping. KeepAlivePeriod = 30 minutes and KeepAliveRetryPeriod = 10 seconds have also been set. However, the following issues are occurring. Although the Ping sent immediately before was successful, a TimeoutException occurs in the notification request sent a few minutes later. There is no explicit disconnection notification from APNs, and the connection appears to be silently disconnected. Once a TimeoutException occurs, it occurs frequently afterwards. Below is an excerpt from the log. Apple Notification Failed for some unknown reason 1-1: One or more errors occurred. Apple Notification Failed for some unknown reason 1-2:System.TimeoutException: The operation timed out. In light of this issue, I would like to be advised on the following two points. Are there any official specifications regarding the lifecycle and expiration date of APNs HTTP/2 connections? Even if pings are sent periodically, is there a timeout or other setting that disables the connection on the APNs side? What are the conditions that would cause APNs to silently terminate a connection? For example, could this be due to inactivity, TLS restrictions, network maintenance, etc.? If you have any official documentation or technical guidelines to improve the reliability of this system, we would appreciate it if you could share them with us. Thank you in advance.

ModelContext.model(for:) returns deleted objects
I'm writing some tests to confirm the behavior of my app. White creating a model actor to delete objects I realized that ModelContext.model(for:) does return objects that are deleted. I was able to reproduces this with this minimal test case: @Model class Activity { init() {} } struct MyLibraryTests { let modelContainer = try! ModelContainer( for: Activity.self, configurations: ModelConfiguration( isStoredInMemoryOnly: true ) ) init() throws { let context = ModelContext(modelContainer) context.insert(Activity()) try context.save() } @Test func modelForIdAfterDelete() async throws { let context = ModelContext(modelContainer) let id = try context.fetch(FetchDescriptor<Activity>()).first!.id context.delete(context.model(for: id) as! Activity) try context.save() let result = context.model(for: id) as? Activity #expect(result == nil) // Expectation failed: (result → MyLibrary.Activity) == nil } @Test func fetchDescriptorAfterDelete() async throws { let context = ModelContext(modelContainer) let id = try context.fetch(FetchDescriptor<Activity>()).first!.id context.delete(context.model(for: id) as! Activity) try context.save() let result = try context.fetch( FetchDescriptor<Activity>(predicate: #Predicate { $0.id == id }) ).first #expect(result == nil) } } Here I create a new context, insert an model and save it. The test modelForIdAfterDelete does fail, as result still contains the deleted object. I also tried to check #expect(result!.isDeleted), but it is also false. With the second test I use a FetchDescriptor to retrieve the object by ID and it correctly returns nil. Shouldn't both methods use a consistent behavior?

Filtered dataFrame displays original dataFrame values
I'm importing a csv file of 299 rows and creating a subset by filtering on one column value (24 rows). I want to Chart just the filtered values. How to mount custom FSKit-based file system in Finder?
Hi, I'm working with the new FSKit framework and have successfully implemented a custom file system using FSUnaryFileSystem. Mounting the file system via Terminal works perfectly — I can create, delete, and browse files and directories as expected. Since /Volumes is protected on modern macOS systems, I cannot mount my file system there directly. Instead, I mount it into a different writable directory (e.g., /tmp/MyFS) and then create a symbolic link to it in a user-visible location such as ~/Downloads/MyFS. Finder does see the symlink and displays it with a "Volume" icon, but clicking it results in an error — it cannot be opened. It seems like Finder does not treat the symlinked mount as a fully functional volume. Is there a proper way to register or announce a FSKit-mounted file system so that Finder lists it as a real volume and allows access to it? Are there additional steps (APIs, notifications, entitlements, or Info.plist keys) required to integrate with Finder? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Live Caller ID Lookup Implementation
Hello I'm working on Live Caller ID Lookup implementation on my own pet-project, as I understood I need to create app and extension for this app. I also created test PIR-service. I did configure serviceURL, tokenIssuerURL and userTierToken. In My app I implemented following code Task { if LiveCallerIDLookupManager.shared.status(forExtensionWithIdentifier: "some-extension") == .disabled { `//` Show an alert. print("LiveCallerIDLookupManager is disabled") } do { // Open Settings. try await LiveCallerIDLookupManager.shared.openSettings() } catch { } It does open Call settings, but I don't understand what should I do next.

Subscription Cancellation
Hi Team, I’ve successfully implemented the subscription flow for my app. However, I’m currently facing challenges related to testing the cancellation behavior for auto-renewable subscriptions. Specifically: I’m unable to locate the correct payload structure for the following test endpoint: https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/notifications/test I’m also unclear on how to simulate or complete the full lifecycle of a subscription (including cancellation) using Apple’s sandbox environment or APIs. Could you please guide me on how to: Retrieve or construct the proper payload for the test notification API? Simulate a cancellation flow end-to-end in the sandbox for auto-renewable subscriptions?

The impact of MicrophoneMode on my Mac application.
I have a 4-input, 4-output hardware device and an 8-input, 8-output virtual device, which I combine into an aggregate device. I am using the SimplyCoreAudio library to get the channel count. The code is as follows: aggregationDevice!.channels(scope: .input) =>> 12 aggregationDevice!.channels(scope: .output) =>> 12 When the program's MicrophoneMode is set to standard, the channel count is correct. However, when I set the MicrophoneMode to voiceIsolation, the channel count is incorrect: aggregationDevice!.channels(scope: .input) =>> 4 aggregationDevice!.channels(scope: .output) =>> 12 Below is the code for creating the aggregate device: func createAggregateDevice(mainDevice: AudioDevice, secondDevice: AudioDevice?, named name: String, uid: String) -> AudioDevice? { guard let mainDeviceUID = mainDevice.uid else { return nil } var deviceList: [[String: Any]] = [ [ kAudioSubDeviceUIDKey: mainDeviceUID, kAudioSubDeviceDriftCompensationKey:1 ] ] // make sure same device isn't added twice if let secondDeviceUID = secondDevice?.uid, secondDeviceUID != mainDeviceUID { deviceList.append([ kAudioSubDeviceUIDKey: secondDeviceUID, kAudioSubDeviceDriftCompensationKey:1, kAudioSubDeviceInputChannelsKey:8 ]) } let desc: [String: Any] = [ kAudioAggregateDeviceNameKey: name, kAudioAggregateDeviceUIDKey: uid, kAudioAggregateDeviceSubDeviceListKey: deviceList, kAudioAggregateDeviceMainSubDeviceKey: mainDeviceUID, kAudioAggregateDeviceIsPrivateKey:false, ] var deviceID: AudioDeviceID = 0 let error = AudioHardwareCreateAggregateDevice(desc as CFDictionary, &deviceID) guard error == noErr else { return nil } return AudioDevice.lookup(by: deviceID) } I hope someone can tell me the reason Thank you!

Custom VID/PID with com.apple.DriverKit-AppleUSBFTDI
We submitted a request a couple years ago to Apple through the feedback system to add 1 custom vid/pid to the com.apple.DriverKit-AppleUSBFTDI driver. They added it to Monterey and it appears in all macOS versions since Monterey. Not long after submitting this request, we sent a follow-up request to add 2 more pids (same vid, and same personality). Apple eventually added these as well. They appear as an array of pids under the same personality. We are 2 weeks from releasing one of those products (added in the second request) and are just now realizing that the second request was only honored on Sequoia (this fact was masked by us using a temporary ftdi vid/pid during development while waiting for Microsoft to resolve an issue related to adding custom vid/pids to FTDI's Windows driver). All other versions that we are supposed to support (Monterey thru Sonoma) only have the first device. None of the devices from the second request are listed, and consequently this device doesn't match and doesn't expose as a serial port as it should. Our application that works with these devices supports Monterey and up, and we desperately need all devices that we have submitted so far to be available on Monterey and up (thru system updates). I tried starting a code-level support ticket, but they don't have a category for this problem. The feedback mechanism is a black box. You submit the request and get no response. You just wait for weeks/months and then it just appears one day. That was fine then, but we're now in an emergency situation. (FTDI's own dext driver, last time we tried it at least, was unable to be installed after being customized, and they admitted to us during email support that there was some issue on the Apple side that was preventing it from being customized. They haven't updated the dext driver since then, so I assume the situation is still the same) What can we do?

However, when I print one column I get values from the original dataFrame. Any suggestions?
