I'm trying to implement live caller id PIR server in python and I have an issue related to evaluation key config. I don't receive the POST /key request even if I try to install the extension on new device and I had this error in device system logs:
error 11:21:30.663022+0200 ciphermld requestData(byKeywords:shardIds:clientConfig:) threw an error: CipherML.CipherMLError.missingSecre t Ke y
I think the reason why the evaluation key is not generated is related to this error but I'm not sure. It might be also related to HE params - I tried with the same params as in swift server example with plaintext_modulus=17 and it works, but for plaintext_modulus=65537 on the same device the system doesn't send me the evaluation key. Is there a limitation that restricts the evaluation key generation for some HE params?
There is how the entire config object that I retrieve looks like:

We are developing an iOS app to connect to vehicles and trigger predefined vehicle controls (door lock/unlock) via the Digital Key framework.
We are currently blocked on several aspects and would appreciate your expertise to clarify the following queries.
How can we list down connected vehicle information?
What is the method to retrieve connection status?
How can we perform vehicle control actions (e.g., door lock/unlock)?
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Starting the CarKeyRemoteControlSession to Fetch Vehicle Reports
Currently, we are using the following API to start a CarKeyRemoteControlSession:
open class func start(
delegate: any CarKeyRemoteControlSessionDelegate,
subscriptionRange subscriptionFunctionIDRange: ClosedRange? = nil,
with delegateCallbackQueue: DispatchQueue? = nil
) async throws -> CarKeyRemoteControlSession
After successfully creating the session, we check for vehicle reports using the vehicleReports property of CarKeyRemoteControlSession:
public var vehicleReports: [VehicleReport] { get throws }

Here's a simple program that spoofs an ARP reply for a given IP address. If I spin up two terminal sessions on the same machine.
Run this code in one window
% ./spoof en0 192.168.1.7
Listening on en0 for ARP requests to 192.168.1.7
Spoofing MAC: 00:0c:87:47:50:27
And in the second window cause the OS to issue an ARP_REQ
% ping 192.168.1.7
You will see the program respond to the ARP request. (Wireshark will see the ARP_REQ and ARP_REPLY packets) however my arp table isn't updated with the MAC for the IP address. There is no firewall active.
% arp -a|grep 192.168.1.7
(192.168.1.7) at (incomplete) on en0 ifscope [ethernet]
This is running on a MacBook pro M3 (OSX 15.4).
HOWEVER, on a MacBook pro M4 (OSX 15.2) is does Work !!!!!
Can anyone explain why its not working?

The example database/server provided by Apple for Live Caller ID contains a hardcoded database with a tiny number of pre-defined numbers.
However, its not expected to be representational of an live real world usage server.
But the question is how can that be accomplished if its a requirement that the data be KPIR encrypted?
In real world scenarios, the factors that effect whether a number should be blocked or not are continually changing and evolving on a minute-by-minute basis and new information becomes available or existing information changes.
If the database supports tens of millions or hundreds of millions of constantly changing phone numbers, in order to meet the requirements of the Live Caller ID being KPIR encrypted, that would imply the database has to re-encrypt its database of millions endlessly for all time.
That seems unfeasable and impractical to implement.
Therefore how do the Apple designers of this feature envisage/suggest a real-world server supporting millions of changing data should meet the requirement to be KPIR encrypted?
On macOS, we have didMountNotification but there doesn't seem to be an equivalent for iOS. Is there a way to be notified when a volume is mounted on iOS? I would like to use it in my iOS app I'm currently porting from macOS, which starts a synchronization from the volume (which has been previously selected in a NSOpenPanel) as soon as it's mounted.
Hello,
I have been implementing NEAppPushProvider class to establish my own protocol to directly communicate with our provider server without the need to rely on APNs for background push notifications.
I am at a stage where I am able to establish a tcp communicator and receive messages back and forth but I noticed that when I disconnect from the WIFI I've set up by setting a given SSID, I am not getting hit on the Stop method. Below is briefly how I load and save preferences.
NEAppPushManager appPushManager = new NEAppPushManager();
appPushManager.LoadFromPreferences((error) =>
{
if (error != null)
{
Console.WriteLine($"Error loading NEAppPushManager preferences: {error.LocalizedDescription}");
return;
}
if (!enable)
{
Console.WriteLine("Disabling Local Push Provider...");
appPushManager.Enabled = false;
// ✅ Immediately update UserDefaults before saving preferences
userDefaults.SetBool(false, Constants.IsLocalPushEnabled);
userDefaults.Synchronize();
appPushManager.SaveToPreferences((saveError) =>
{
if (saveError != null)
{
Console.WriteLine($"Error disabling Local Push: {saveError.LocalizedDescription}");
}
else
{
Console.WriteLine("Local Push successfully disabled.");
}
});
return;
}
// ✅ Now we can safely enable Local Push
Console.WriteLine($"Enabling Local Push for SSID: {_currentSSID}");
appPushManager.MatchSsids = new string[] { _currentSSID };
appPushManager.LocalizedDescription = "LocalPushProvider";
appPushManager.ProviderBundleIdentifier = Constants.LocalPushExtensionBundleId;
appPushManager.Enabled = true;
appPushManager.SaveToPreferences((saveError) =>
{
if (saveError != null)
{
Console.WriteLine($"Error saving Local Push settings: {saveError.LocalizedDescription}");
}
else
{
Console.WriteLine("✅ Local Push successfully registered.");
userDefaults.SetBool(true, Constants.IsLocalPushEnabled);
userDefaults.Synchronize();
}
});
});
I've read through documentation and was expecting the Stop method to be hit when I turn off Wifi. Am I missing anything? Please let me know if I should provide more info. Currently I just have a console writeline method inside the Stop method to see if it actually gets hit.
I’m seeking guidance on an issue with my iOS app’s universal link for email verification. The link successfully opens my app, but the verification logic never runs.
Here is my setup and the problem details:
Associated Domains & AASA
I have Associated Domains set to applinks:talkio.me in Xcode.
The AASA file is located at https://talkio.me/.well-known/apple-app-site-association with the following contents:
{
"applinks": {
"apps": [],
"details": [
{
"appID": "VMCWZ2A2KQ.com.elbaba.Flake2",
"paths": [
"/verify*"
]
}
]
}
}
The direct link we send in the email looks like:
https://talkio.me/verify?mode=verifyEmail&oobCode=XYZ&apiKey=ABC
When tapped, the app launches, but the universal link handler code below never logs the URL nor triggers the verifyEmailUsing logic.
SceneDelegate Logic
In my SceneDelegate.swift, I handle universal links in both scene(:willConnectTo:options:) and scene(:continue:userActivity:restorationHandler:):
func scene(_ scene: UIScene,
willConnectTo session: UISceneSession,
options connectionOptions: UIScene.ConnectionOptions) {
// ...
if let urlContext = connectionOptions.urlContexts.first {
let url = urlContext.url
print("SceneDelegate: App launched with URL: (url.absoluteString)")
handleUniversalLink(url: url)
}
}
func scene(_ scene: UIScene,
continue userActivity: NSUserActivity,
restorationHandler: @escaping ([UIUserActivityRestoring]?) -> Void) -> Bool {
print("⚠️ scene(_:continue:) got called!")
guard let url = userActivity.webpageURL else {
print("No webpageURL in userActivity.")
return false
}
print("SceneDelegate: Universal Link => (url.absoluteString)")
handleUniversalLink(url: url)
return true
}
private func handleUniversalLink(url: URL) {
let urlString = url.absoluteString
if let oobCode = getQueryParam(urlString, named: "oobCode") {
verifyEmailUsing(oobCode)
} else {
print("No oobCode found => not a verify link.")
}
}
// ...
Expected Log:
SceneDelegate: App launched with URL: https://talkio.me/verify?mode=verifyEmail&oobCode=XYZ&apiKey=ABC
However, I only see:
SceneDelegate: sceneDidBecomeActive called
No mention of the universal link is printed.
Result:
The app opens on tapping the link but does not call handleUniversalLink(...).
Consequently, Auth.auth().checkActionCode(oobCode) and Auth.auth().applyActionCode(oobCode) are never triggered.
What I Tried:
Verified the AASA file is served over HTTPS, with content type application/json.
Reinstalled the app to refresh iOS’s associated domain cache.
Confirmed my Team ID (VMCWZ2A2KQ) and Bundle ID (com.elbaba.Flake2) match in the app’s entitlements.
Confirmed the link path "/verify*" matches the link structure in emails.
Despite these checks, the universal link logic is not invoked. Could you help me identify why the link is not recognized as a universal link and how to ensure iOS calls my SceneDelegate methods with the correct URL? Any guidance on diagnosing or resolving this universal link issue would be greatly appreciated.

I recently converted over my map from Mapbox Maps to MapKit Map. I have been able to add my polygons on the Map using MapPolygon. The issue I am having is being able to select the Polygon to be able to view information about the polygon.
Has anyone been able to figure out a way to tap on the Polygon? I have tried selection but the Polygon doesn't recognize the tap. I would really appreciate it if anyone could point me in the right direction of how I can accomplish this.
Instead of a .sdef file (or older formats) made in advance and stored in an app’s bundle, I wonder if the script dictionary can be set soon after the app opens? I seen related API, with a note that the scripting file reader ultimately calls that API. I grok about 90% of that API, but I’m not sure it’s possible.

Hi there, I'm facing an issue when disconnecting CarPlay that the navigation session seems to be in some weird state where it is not properly finished. So when I reconnect CarPlay the "Metadata in instrument cluster or HUD" does not update anymore until I start another navigation session and stop that one.
You can see that the instruction to the left on this screen recording is not updating anymore after a reconnect.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sncxyJULjQk
I have a modified the CostalRoad sample app to add support for the HUD cluster and to auto start a navigation simulation when CarPlay connects.
https://github.com/g4rb4g3/CoastalRoads
Can anyone tell me what I have to do when CarPlay disconnect so I can start a new navigation session on reconnect that has a working HUD cluster?
Fun fact is that Apple Maps handles this quite nice (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpJEIyGcwdo), it somehow manages to finish the navigation session and brings up the HUD cluster just fine on reconnect.
I wonder how I can achieve the same, anyone having an idea on that?
My MacOS swift app [myStuckApp5] refuses to close when running on Monterrey (The app becomes unresponsive after finishing its work, and needs to be forcefully closed). However, it closes as expected when running MacOS 13 and above. How can I troubleshoot this error?

Hello Apple Developer Team/Community,
I am working on developing an Apple Wallet pass with NFC functionality for our electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The goal is to enable a "tap-to-start charging" feature, providing a seamless and efficient experience for users. However, my request for an NFC certificate to enable this functionality has been rejected.
Here is a summary of my use case and actions taken so far:
1. Use Case:
The Wallet pass will allow users to initiate charging sessions by tapping their iPhones or Apple Watches on the EV charger.
This feature aims to simplify the process by eliminating the need for additional apps, physical cards, or manual inputs.
It enhances accessibility and aligns with Apple’s goals of providing users with secure and convenient solutions.
2. Steps Taken:
Submitted the NFC certificate request with a detailed explanation of the functionality.
Included diagrams and supporting documents demonstrating the workflow and system readiness.
Received a rejection without clear guidance on how to address the issue.
3. Technical Readiness:
Our backend is fully prepared to support NFC passes, including secure processing of tap events and payload encryption.
The Wallet pass has been configured to include the nfc field with the required encryptionPublicKey.
Request for Assistance:
Could you provide guidance on improving my application to meet Apple’s criteria for NFC certificates?
Are there specific requirements or examples of successful NFC-enabled Wallet pass applications that I can use as a reference?
If anyone has faced a similar rejection, what steps did you take to get approval?
Additional Information:
Use case: EV charging stations
NFC functionality: Tap-to-start charging session
Current implementation: Pass is functional without NFC but requires NFC for seamless operation.
Any advice or resources to help resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and support.
Best regards,
DeveloperSquillion
