Signing issue with Notification Filtering entitlement
Two months ago we got approval for using the Notification Filtering entitlement. We rushed out to implement it in our app, only to find out that the permission was set for the wrong bundle identifier. We expected to get the permission for the notification extension's bundle identifier, yet it is added for the main app's bundle identifier. Per the official docs, the entitlement permission should be in the notification service extension target: After you receive permission to use the entitlement, add com.apple.developer.usernotifications.filtering to the entitlements file in the Notification Service Extension target. However, this fails to get signed when compiling for non-simulator targets because of the bundle mismatch issue. Simulator perfectly filters notifications. Adding the entitlement to the main app does compile, but filtering does not work (as expected). We reached out to Apple twice (Case-ID: 14330583) but we have yet to receive any response. Could there be something else wrong instead of the identifier mismatch?

Unable to sign .app file with Developer ID installer certificate
I am using matlab to create an application (.app) using matlab application compiler. Along with that, I use matlab to create an installer for that. Unfortunately, the installer is in (.app) format. So do some custom things to install the dependencies and copying my application to Applications folder. I am able to sign the original application with Developer ID application certificate. But I am not able to sign the installer in .app format with Developer ID installer certificate. Is there any flag in any signing executable that allows me to use Developer ID installer certificate to sign .app file instead of typical (.pkg/.dmg)? Any help would be much appreciated.

Family Control Entitlements not recognized when distributing
I have been approved for family controls entitlements and see them in my apple certificates for my bundle identifier. I see them listed for Distribution in my Runner, however, when I try to distribute I get the error that I do not have the right permissions. Do I need to get the entitlements for each extension I have as well? I have three extensions that use the family controls.

Cannot export p12 certificate
I have a pass type id that expired. I created a CSR in keychain access on my Mac. I uploaded the CSR and generated a new cert. I downloaded the new cert and imported into keychain access. I don't see the associated private key and I cannot export a .p12 certificate. It's possible I started with the wrong key to generate the CSR or maybe I inadvertently deleted key while trying to locate the cert after importing. I'm not sure how to determine which. I do still have the private key from the cert that expired. But, I cannot figure out how to sign a cert again, my only option now is download. I've been searching the forum and while there may be an answer, I may just be looking for the wrong thing. I could use some help if anybody would be so kind.

Title: Push notifications not working on iOS – aps-environment missing in signed app with manual Codemagic signing
Hi everyone, I’m having trouble getting remote push notifications working on iOS for a production Flutter app, and it looks like it’s related to the provisioning profile / entitlements used during signing. Context Platform: Flutter Push provider: OneSignal (backend is Supabase; Android push works fine) CI: Codemagic Target: iOS TestFlight / App Store builds I’m on Windows, so I cannot open Xcode locally. All iOS builds happen via Codemagic. Capabilities / entitlements In the Apple Developer portal, my App ID for com.zachspizza.app has: Push Notifications capability enabled A separate Broadcast capability is listed but currently not checked. In my repo, ios/Runner/Runner.entitlements contains: xml aps-environment production So the project is clearly requesting the push entitlement. Codemagic signing setup For my App Store workflow (ios_appstore_release in codemagic.yaml ): I use a combination of manual and automatic signing: Environment variables can provide: P12_BASE64 + P12_PASSWORD (distribution certificate) MOBILEPROVISION_BASE64 (a .mobileprovision file) A script in the workflow: Creates a temporary keychain. Imports the .p12 and installs the .mobileprovision into ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles. For the final export, I generate an exportOptions.plist that does: If a profile name/UUID is provided via env (PROV_PROFILE_SPEC, PROV_PROFILE_UUID, PROVISIONING_PROFILE_SPECIFIER, PROVISIONING_PROFILE): xml signingStylemanual provisioningProfiles com.zachspizza.app[profile name or UUID] Otherwise, it falls back to: xml signingStyleautomatic After archiving and exporting, my script runs: bash codesign -d --entitlements :- "$ARCHIVE_PATH/Products/Applications/Runner.app" ... and again on the signed Runner.app inside the exported IPA codesign -d --entitlements :- "$SIGNED_APP" In both cases, the effective entitlements output does not show aps-environment, even though: The App ID has push enabled. Runner.entitlements includes aps-environment = production. Observed behavior iOS devices (TestFlight build) do not receive remote push notifications at all. Android devices receive notifications as expected with the same backend payloads. OneSignal configuration and backend are verified; this appears to be an APNs / signing / entitlements problem. The Codemagic logs strongly suggest that the provisioning profile being used for signing does not carry aps-environment. Questions Under what conditions would a distribution provisioning profile (for an App ID with Push Notifications enabled) result in a signed app without aps-environment, even when: The entitlements file in the project includes aps-environment, and The App ID in the Developer portal has Push Notifications enabled? Does using a CI flow like the above (custom .p12 + .mobileprovision installed via script, exportOptions with signingStyle=manual) increase the chances of: Xcode ignoring the requested entitlements, or Selecting a provisioning profile variant that does not include the push entitlement? Is there a recommended way, from the Apple side, to verify that a given .mobileprovision (the one I’m base64-encoding and installing in CI) definitely includes the aps-environment entitlement for my bundle ID? i.e., a canonical method to inspect the profile and confirm that APNs is included before using it in CI? Are there any known edge cases where: The project entitlements include aps-environment, The App ID has Push Notifications enabled, But the final signed app still has no aps-environment, due to profile mismatch or signing configuration? Given that I’m on Windows and can’t open Xcode to manage signing directly, I’d really appreciate guidance on how to ensure that the correct push-enabled provisioning profile is being used in this CI/manual-signing setup, and how to debug why aps-environment is being stripped or not applied. Notarization has taken > 30 minutes
Hey everyone, I’m wondering if anyone has run into any issues with this. Before I uploaded, I guess maybe 20 assets of 1080 x 720, my notarization was taking around 2-3 minutes almost instant. Now I’m looking at 30 minutes. I have no idea when the notarization is going to end. I’m wondering if asset size has any impact on notarization speed, and if so, is this going to be a one-time thing or is this going to happen with all my following builds? Let me know if anyone has run into anything similar or if the notarization service is just down right now. ⁠

Persistent Code Signing Failure (HTTP 403) After Accepting Apple Developer Agreement
Hi everyone, We're experiencing a critical and persistent code signing failure (HTTP 403) after accepting the latest Apple Developer Agreement, blocking our application release. Problem: Despite confirming the new Apple Developer Agreement is signed and active on the portal, code signing attempts return an HTTP 403 error, stating a "required agreement is missing or has expired." Steps Taken: Accepted new Apple Developer Agreement. Verified active developer membership and valid certificates (good for years). Cleared caches, restarted systems. Confirmed Team ID, Apple ID, and provisioning profile validity. Any help is greatly appreciated, its been stuck for more than 2 days now.

Command CodeSign failed with a nonzero exit code - OpenGL
Hey, So i am trying to setup OpenGL on my mac. Specs : M2 Pro, 15.5 (24F74) Now i have setup the entire project properly as far as i know. GLFW, GLAD and the OpenGL framework. the build libraries are also reference and everything. I have also included the glad.c file in the folder. i have also kept it to run locally in signing tab. its still giving me Command CodeSign failed with a nonzero exit code All the ss are provided

Binary Signing Error
I will post my app xyz.app uses XY swift package this swift package is a wrapper for XYSDK.xcframework XYSDK.xcframework written in c++ and app running on arm64 macos and iphones succesfully. I got this error when i want to distribute it. Currently i sign .framework for ios with Apple Distribution Certificate and same certificate for macos framework there is no other signing step for swift package or xcframework other than that when i want to archive it validates succesfully. Exporting step shows that app has signed, has provisining profile. but .framework is only signed has no provisioning profile. Also one point i see: i have one target named xyz and its Frameworks, Lİbraries and Embedded Context has only XY package but Embed part has no option like embed and sign etc. Blank. I need more info about what am i doing wrong in which step ? I am stuck and can not move any further like weeks Error Detail: Invalid Signature. The binary with bundle identifier XYSDK at path “xyz.app/Frameworks/XYSDK.framework” contains an invalid signature. Make sure you have signed your application with a distribution certificate, not an ad hoc certificate or a development certificate. Verify that the code signing settings in Xcode are correct at the target level (which override any values at the project level). Additionally, make sure the bundle you are uploading was built using a Release target in Xcode, not a Simulator target. If you are certain your code signing settings are correct, choose “Clean All” in Xcode, delete the “build” directory in the Finder, and rebuild your release target. App Notarization stuck “In Progress” for 4+ days — possible due to Notarization service outage?
Hi everyone, My app notarization has been stuck in the “In Progress” state for the past 4 days. Here are the details: createdDate: 2025-10-12T07:56:46.228Z id: 8f8c9a33-1c72-489e-a189-74c797a12fbc name: DevScribe.zip status: In Progress I checked the Apple System Status page and noticed that the Developer Notarization service has been showing an outage since October 8th. Could this ongoing outage be the reason my notarization is stuck? Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Any guidance or workaround would be greatly appreciated.

launching app with error "domain: RBSRequestErrorDomain; code: 5; Launch failed."
After upgrading the iOS system to 18.3.1, the APP crashed continuously when it was launched. Account Shows to "Enroll" again after I submitted Mac app for Notarization
I submitted a mac app for Notarization. For the first few tries the Notarization failed with an error "Team is not yet configured for Notarization" but few days after my account started to show "ENROLL" option again even though my membership was set to expire on 2026. I am doubting my account has been suspended. I have not received any emails from apple regarding the suspension. I have contacted support but no help yet ! This was the second year, i was paying for the membership. Could you please help me to - Help me get the account unsuspended (if it is, as there is no notification or information regarding this) If the account is suspended due to my app being submitted for Notarization then help me identify the reason so that i can fix them. Mac App is Time Tracking application that runs in background and capture periodic screenshot(NOTE - I am doing this after taking user consent)

Family Controls (Distribution) entitlement missing for Device Activity Monitor extension - blocking TestFlight distribution
Hi Apple Developer Community, I'm experiencing an issue with Family Controls entitlements for my iOS app that I'd like to discuss and see if others have encountered similar problems. Background: My app (BrightStart) uses Family Controls to help users build healthy morning routines by temporarily blocking distracting apps until they complete a sunlight exposure session. The core functionality relies on automatic time-based blocking (e.g., block social media apps from 6-8am daily). The Problem: I have Family Controls working perfectly in development builds, but I'm blocked from distributing via TestFlight due to entitlement issues with my Device Activity Monitor extension. Technical Details: Main app bundle ID: app.brightstart.app ✅ Has both "Family Controls (Development)" and "Family Controls (Distribution)" options available Extension bundle ID: app.brightstart.app.BrightStartMonitorExtension ❌ Only shows "Family Controls (Development)" - no Distribution option Error when archiving for TestFlight: ❌ Provisioning profile failed qualification Profile doesn't support Family Controls (Development). Family Controls (Development) feature is for development only. Please use Family Controls (Distribution) for distribution. Impact: Cannot upload to TestFlight for beta testing Native FamilyActivityPicker falls back to mock UI in distributed builds Automatic scheduled app blocking (via DeviceActivityMonitor) doesn't function in production Questions for the community: Has anyone successfully gotten "Family Controls (Distribution)" enabled for a Device Activity Monitor extension? Is this a known limitation, or should I expect this option to be available? Are there alternative approaches for time-based automatic app blocking that work in distribution builds? Should I contact Apple Support directly about enabling this entitlement for the extension? Btw, Cursor wrote this summary above, so it could be just hallucinating the issue? Unable To Perform Stapler Process
I am facing an issue while trying to staple a notarization ticket to my signed macOS installer package. Details of my setup: The .pkg file is signed using my Developer ID Installer certificate. The app inside the package is signed using my Developer ID Application certificate. Notarization via xcrun notarytool completes successfully with status: Accepted. However, the stapler command fails with the following error: xcrun stapler staple -v /Users/mac-test/Desktop/IPMPlus_Arm_Installer_signed.pkg Processing: /Users/mac-test/Desktop/IPMPlus_Arm_Installer_signed.pkg Could not validate ticket for /Users/mac-test/Desktop/IPMPlus_Arm_Installer_signed.pkg The staple and validate action failed! Error 65. I verified that all other Apple notarization-related servers (api.apple-cloudkit.com, gs.apple.com, ocsp.apple.com, ocsp2.apple.com, crl.apple.com, developer.apple.com) are reachable. However, the domain cdn-apple-cloudkit.apple.com cannot be resolved from any network, including mobile or public Wi-Fi. Both dig and nslookup return “No answer” even when using external DNS servers like 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1. It appears that cdn-apple-cloudkit.apple.com might be required during the stapler validation process, but the DNS for this domain is not resolving. Could you please confirm whether this CDN endpoint is required for stapling, and if there is currently an outage or configuration issue with cdn-apple-cloudkit.apple.com?

We have an app which is hybrid using React Native and Native features. We released our app recently which showed issues related to missing packages/corrupt package but xCode didn't gave any error and we were able to Archive and submit app successfully.

Xcode Automatic Signing Fails with App Groups - Provisioning profile "Mac Team Provisioning Profile : com.example.testapp.mobile" doesn't support the App Groups capability.
Xcode automatic signing consistently fails for the macOS target when adding the App Groups capability, even though the Developer Portal is correctly configured. Error: Provisioning profile “Mac Team Provisioning Profile: com.example.testapp.mobile” doesn’t support the App Groups capability. Setup: • Bundle ID: com.example.testapp.mobile • App Group: $(TeamIdentifierPrefix)group.com.example.testapp.mobile Troubleshooting Steps Tried (None Helped): • Changed bundle identifiers and deleted/recreated them in the Developer Portal • Deleted and recreated App Groups • Removed and re-added the developer account in Xcode • Deleted all provisioning profiles from the system • Cleared Derived Data and Xcode caches • Even tried on a clean macOS system This setup used to work previously. The issue seems to have started after the Apple Developer account was renewed.

Copy of notarized & exported app will not run
In XCode I create and export a notarized app for "direct distribution". I then create a tar file of the exported .app to distribute to my users. Until today this worked fine. Now when the users try to run the app it pops up a dialog saying "app is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash." It is possible to ctrl-click on the app and force it to run but, I think, whether this works or not will depend on system settings and not all users have root access to modify settings. Even simply copying the .app folder from the command line will cause this error.

App Rejected – Binary Invalid Despite Correct Code Signing Setup (Flutter + WebView App)
Hello everyone, I'm currently experiencing repeated "Invalid Binary" rejections when submitting my Flutter-based iOS app ("Master Tere") through App Store Connect. I've followed all the expected steps and guidelines, but the rejection contains no additional explanation beyond the "Invalid Binary" status. Here’s my current setup: Built using Flutter and Xcode 15.3 WebView-based app loading a professional portfolio site Runner target is signed automatically using Xcode Managed Profiles Certificates: Apple Development and Apple Distribution (auto-managed) Bundle ID: com.actuain.mastertere1 Version: 1.0.0, Build: 6 Deployment target: iOS 18.0 Device family: iPhone only All signing identities and provisioning profiles match for Debug and Release In my Info.plist, I’ve cleaned up legacy keys that might cause conflicts: ✅ Removed <key>UIMainStoryboardFile</key> (no storyboard is used) ✅ Removed <key>CFBundleSignature</key> as it was set to ???? ✅ Display name and Bundle ID align with Xcode project settings Despite all this, every time I upload through Xcode Organizer, I get an "Invalid Binary" error after processing. No issues are shown during archive validation. I suspect the issue may be related to: Flutter WebView integration with latest iOS SDKs Residual metadata in the archive from unused iOS storyboard references Possibly missing entitlements or capabilities not flagged by Xcode Questions: Are there any known issues affecting Flutter WebView apps recently (especially around Xcode 15.3 or iOS 18 SDK)? Is it mandatory to remove Main.storyboard from the project bundle even if it's not used? Could this issue be related to background modes, UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities, or entitlements even if not directly flagged?
