However, when I try to use it in Xcode for my app it fails with the following error: Thread 1: Fatal error: Double value cannot be converted to Int because it is either infinite or NaN I printed the value being converted to Int and it was not NAN or infinite.

Passing compatible primitive types as reference in cpp-swift interop
I have an xcode project which has both cpp and swift code. In one of my usecase I am passing primitive type variables from swift to cpp by reference( primitives types list here as per the new cpp-swift interop documentation) swift code: // primitive check code:Bool var x : Bool = true // When we are passing a variable as a Reference, we need to use explicitly use'&' student.PassBoolAsReferenceType (&x) // interop call to cpp code print (x) Cpp code: void Student::PassBoolAsReferenceType(bool &pValue) noexcept { std::cout << pValue << std::endl; pValue = false; } The above code fails during compilation with no clear error message "Command SwiftCompile failed with a nonzero exit code" However, all the other primitive types that I tested worked for the above code like Int, Float, Double etc. Only the Bool interop fails. Can someone explain why is it not possible for bool? I m using the new interop introduced in swift 5.9.

Model instance invalidated, backing data could no longer be found in the store
I have been recently getting the following error seemingly randomly, when an event handler of a SwiftUI view accesses a relationship of a SwiftData model the view holds a reference to. I haven't yet found a reliable way of reproducing it: SwiftData/BackingData.swift:866: Fatal error: This model instance was invalidated because its backing data could no longer be found the store. PersistentIdentifier(id: SwiftData.PersistentIdentifier.ID(url: COREDATA_ID_URL), implementation: SwiftData.PersistentIdentifierImplementation) What could cause this error? Could you suggest me a workaround?

Inquiry about WebRTC camera access when using Chrome browser and WKWebView API on iPadOS
We are Java application developers and we have a question regarding camera access via WebRTC on iPadOS. Specifically, on iPadOS 17.1, we are encountering an issue when trying to access the camera via the WKWebView API in the Chrome browser, where an error occurs and the camera capture fails. Our investigation suggests that device access through the navigator.mediaDevices property via the WKWebView API may not work in Chrome. However, it works as expected in the Safari browser, leading us to wonder if this is a Chrome-specific limitation, or if it's due to an iPadOS setting or specification. At this point, we are unsure if this issue is related to the WKWebView and WebRTC specifications on iPadOS 17.1, or if there are specific limitations in Chrome. We would appreciate any insights or solutions regarding camera access in iPadOS 17.1 with WKWebView and WebRTC, especially in relation to Chrome.

Can I use @_implementationOnly import in my Framework
We have FrameworkA which needs to use another FrameworkB internally to fetch a token. Now when I try to use this FrameworkA, we are seeing an issue with internal framework i.e. No such module 'FrameworkB'. But when I use @_implementationOnly import for the internal FrameworkB, I didn't see any issues. So just wanted to check If I can go ahead and use this @_implementationOnly import flag in Production?

In app purchase goes to Entered Billing Retry after free trail
I have a VPN application published in the app store. Used Ikev2 for this personal VPN. There are two in-app purchases. One is 'Monthly' and another is 'Yearly' with 3 days free trial. We have seen something strange for the yearly subscriptions which has free trail, the cancellation reason through the billing issue is too high like 70-80% due to billing retry state. Some other apps which have billing issues under 10% always. We have done some research and found that if the user doesn't cancel and Apple is unable to charge then it goes to a billing retry state. If users don't like the app, they could cancel their subscription/free trail easily but they are not doing this and why Apple unable to charge the bill after the trial ends. Am i missing something in the developer end?

Issue Integrating C++ SDK
Hello Apple Team, I'm trying to import the Audodesk FBX SDK to my Objective-C iOS Project. The SDK is written in C++, but has support for iOS and the iOS simulator architectures. I've added the path to the include folder in the Header Search Path I've also added the paths to libfbxsdk.a in the Library Search Paths Finally, I've added the libfbxsdk.a file to the Link Binary with Libraries. However, when I build the project, I get the following error: building for 'iOS', but linking in object file (/Users/Lond/Documents/v2/Autodesk/iOS/2020.3.7/lib/ios/debug/libfbxsdk.a[28](fbxalloc.cxx.o)) built for 'macOS' In the terminal, if I type the command: 
lipo -info libfbxsdk.a I get the message Non-fat file: libfbxsdk.a is architecture: arm64 confirming that I'm using the library for the correct architecture.   Do I need to add any other confifuration option? (Like the other linker flag or something else) I'm quite new to C++, and integrating a C++ SDK into iOS is not easy.   I'm using Mac Os Sonoma 14.6.1 Tested on Xcode 15.4 and 16.2 Target Device: iPhone 13 Pro (iOS 17.6.1) iOS FBX SDK version: 2020.3.7 Link to the SDK if needed: https://aps.autodesk.com/developer/overview/fbx-sdk   Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you

HealthKit permissions not honoring user selection
I'm dealing with a strange bug where I am requesting read access for 'appleExerciseTime' and 'activitySummaryType', and despite enabling both in the permission sheet, they are being set to 'sharingDenied'. Understanding an assertion failure in a crash log
Last night my iPhone game crashed while running in debug mode on my iPhone. I just plugged it into my Mac, and was able to find the ips file. The stack trace shows the function in my app where it crashed, and then a couple of frames in libswiftCore.dylib before an assertion failure. How do I figure out what the assertion failure was that triggered the crash? How do I figure out what line of code in takeTurn(...) triggered the failing assertion failure?

Swift 6 crash calling requestAutomaticPassPresentationSuppression
I found a similar problem here https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/764777 and I could solve my problem by wrapping the call to requestAutomaticPassPresentationSuppression in a call to DispatchQueue.global().async. But my question is if this is really how things should work. Even with strict concurrency warnings in Swift 6 I don't get any warnings. Just a runtime crash. How are we supposed to find these problems? Couldn't the compiler assist with a warning/error. Why does the compiler make the assumptions it does about the method that is declared like this: @available(iOS 9.0, *) open class func requestAutomaticPassPresentationSuppression(responseHandler: @escaping (PKAutomaticPassPresentationSuppressionResult) -> Void) -> PKSuppressionRequestToken Now that we have migrated to Swift 6 our code base contains a bunch of unknown places where it will crash as above.

How to save a point cloud in the sample code "Capturing depth using the LiDAR camera" with the photoOutput
Hello dear community, I have the sample code from Apple “CapturingDepthUsingLiDAR” to access the LiDAR on my iPhone 12 Pro. My goal is to use the “photo output” function to generate a point cloud from a single image and then save it as a ply file. So far I have tested different approaches to create a .ply file from the depthmap, the intrinsic camera data and the rgba values. Unfortunately, I have had no success so far and the result has always been an incorrect point cloud. My question now is whether there are already approaches to this and whether anyone has any experience with it. Thank you very much in advance!!!

DebugDescription macro causing “String Interpolation” warnings
Using the DebugDescription macro to display an optional value produces a “String interpolation produces a debug description for an optional value” build warning. For example: @DebugDescription struct MyType: CustomDebugStringConvertible { let optionalValue: String? public var debugDescription: String { "Value: \(optionalValue)" } } The DebugDescription macro does not allow (it is an error) "Value: \(String(describing: optionalValue))" or "Value: \(optionalValue ?? "nil")" because “Only references to stored properties are allowed.” Is there a way to reconcile these? I have a build log full of these warnings, obscuring real issues.

Swift/C++ interoperability issue in std::string
In scope of one of our project we've faced an issue with constant crashes when integrating C++ library in Swift code using Swift/C++ interoperability. Investigating the root causes of the issue we've discovered that with new version of Swift bug was introduced. Long story short: for strings bigger than 27 symbols memory is feed incorrectly that causes the crashes. By creating this post I wanted to draw community's attention to the problem and promote it to be solved quicker as for now it is not addressed.

Struggling with async/await: Fetching an image off the main thread
Hey everyone, I’m learning async/await and trying to fetch an image from a URL off the main thread to avoid overloading it, while updating the UI afterward. Before starting the fetch, I want to show a loading indicator (UI-related work). I’ve implemented this in two different ways using Task and Task.detached, and I have some doubts: Is using Task { @MainActor the better approach? I added @MainActor because, after await, the resumed execution might not return to the Task's original actor. Is this the right way to ensure UI updates are done safely? Does calling fetchImage() on @MainActor force it to run entirely on the main thread? I used an async data fetch function (not explicitly marked with any actor). If I were to use a completion handler instead, would the function run on the main thread? Is using Task.detached overkill here? I tried Task.detached to ensure the fetch runs on a non-main actor. However, it seems to involve unnecessary actor hopping since I still need to hop back to the main actor for UI updates. I was trying to evaulate let myTuple = ("blue", false) let otherTuple = ("blue", true) if myTuple &lt; otherTuple { print("yes it evaluates") } Ans I got /tmp/S9jAk7P7KW/main.swift:5:12: error: binary operator '&lt;' cannot be applied to two '(String, Bool)' operands if myTuple &lt; otherTuple { My question is why there is no compile time issue in first place where the declaration is let myTuple = ("blue", false) ~~~~~~ something like above
