Collision Detection Fails After Anchoring ModelEntity to Hand in VisionOS
I'm starting my journey in developing an immersive app for VisionOS. I've been making steady progress, but I've encountered a specific challenge that I haven't been able to resolve. I created two ModelEntity objects — a sphere and a cube — and added a DragGesture to the cube. When I drag the cube over the sphere, the two collide correctly, and the collision is logged in the console. So far, everything works as expected. However, when I try to anchor the cube to my hand, the collision stops working. It's as if the cube loses its ability to detect collisions once it's anchored. Do you retain a reference to your content events in RealityView?
Do you retain a reference to your content (RealityViewContent) events? For example, the Manipulation Events docs from Apple use _ to discard the result. Vision OS: HUD mode windows
If I correctly understand, a new Enterprise API has been introduced In visionOS 26 allowing to fix windows to the user frame of reference, implementing a something like an "head up display", with the window tracking the user movements. Is this API only available to enterprise applications, and if so is there a plan to make it available for every kind of app?

Imitating a grip on an object
I'm playing about with the hand tracking systems in reality kit / Vision Pro I thought it would be interesting if I could attach a virtual object to a hand when the hand is gripping (thought it would be fun to attach a basic cylinder to mimic a wand from Harry Potter) I'm able to detect when the user is gripping but having trouble placing an object as though it's within the hand. The simplest version of this is using an AnchorEntity pointing to the user's palm which kind of works, but quickly breaks the illusion when you rotate the wrist or hand. It seems as though I will have to roll my own anchor entity using the various points of the user's hand and I thought calculating some median point between the thumb and little finger tips would be a good start but it's proven a little difficult as we need both rotation and position. I'm already out of my depth with reality kit and matrices (and thanks to ChatGPT) I have some code, but as soon as I apply the position manually (as opposed to a hand anchor entity) it fails to render on the user's hand. It feels like this should already have been something someone has looked in to, any ideas on what might be the issue here? RealityKit entity.write(to:) generates fatal protection error
My app for framing and arranging pictures from Photos on visionOS allows users to write the arrangements they create to .reality files using RealityKit entity.write(to:) that they then display to customers on their websites. RC Pro Timeline Notification Not Received in Xcode
I'm having a heck of a time getting this to work. I'm trying to add an event notification at the end of a timeline animation to trigger something in code but I'm not receiving the notification from RC Pro. I've watched that Compose Interactive 3D Content video quite a few times now and have tried many different ways. RC Pro has the correct ID names on the notifications. I'm not a programmer at all. Extending or disabling the 1.5-meter boundary in ImmersiveSpace
I’m currently developing an app for visionOS and working with an ImmersiveSpace. I’ve noticed that the system automatically enforces a safety boundary at approximately 1.5 meters. If the user moves beyond this limit, the content fades out or the system reverts to Passthrough. Is there any way to disable this boundary or extend its radius? This app is currently in the experimental/verification phase, and it is intended to be run on a Vision Pro in Developer Mode. Since the primary goal is to test large-scale spatial interactions during development, I am looking for any way—including developer-specific settings or configurations—to bypass or expand this limit. If there isn't a direct API to change the boundary size, are there any recommended workarounds for testing movement within large environments? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

VisionOS 2.0 Main Camera Access Enterprise Entitlement Not Recognized in XCode
I am working on a project that requires access to the main camera on the Vision Pro. My main account holder applied for the necessary enterprise entitlement and we were approved and received the Enterprise.license file by email. I have added the Enterprise.license file to my project, and manually added the com.apple.developer.arkit.main-camera-access.allow entitlement to the entitlement file and set it to true since it was not available in the list when I tried to use the + Capability button in the Signing & Capabilites tab. I am getting an error: Provisioning profile "iOS Team Provisioning Profile: " doesn't include the com.apple.developer.arkit.main-camera-access.allow entitlement. I have checked the provisioning profile settings online, and there is no manual option for adding the main camera access entitlement, and it does not seem to be getting the approval from the license.

How to Renew visionOS Enterprise API Entitlements?
How can I renew visionOS Enterprise API? I've spent so much time contacting Apple Developer Support. They said they don't know the renewal process either and are "checking with the internal operations team" - but it's been 2 months with no updates. The official documentation (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/visionOS/building-spatial-experiences-for-business-apps-with-enterprise-apis#Request-the-entitlements) says: "The license file comes with an expiration date, so you need to renew it before then to ensure your entitlements continue to function." But it doesn't explain HOW to renew. When I asked Apple Support about this, they told me: "After Apple approves your app for one or more entitlements, you receive a license file, along with additional instructions." But I never received any instructions when I was first approved, and I still don't know how to renew. There's also no direct way to contact the Enterprise API team. Now my visionOS Enterprise API license has been expired for 2 months. I submitted a renewal request, but I still haven't heard anything back. Is it normal to take more than 2 months for approval? Any advice or shared experiences would be really helpful. Thanks!

Alternatives to SceneView
Hey there, since SceneView has been marked as „deprecated“ for SwiftUI, I‘m wondering which alternatives should be considered for the following situation: I have a SwiftUI app (for iOS and iPadOS) where users can view (with rotate, scale, move gestures) 3D models (USDZ) in a scene. The models will be downloaded from web backend and called via local URL paths. What I tested: I‘ve tried ARView in .nonAR mode, RealityView, however I didn‘t get the expected response -> User can rotate, scale the 3D models in a virtual space. ARView in nonAR mode still shows the object like in normal AR mode without camera stream. I tried to add Gestures to the RealityView on iOS - loading USDZ 3D models worked but the gestures didn’t). Model3D is only available for visionOS (that would be amazing to have it for iOS) I also checked QuickLook Preview however it works pretty strange via Filepicker etc, which is not the way how the user should load the 3D models in my app. Maybe I missed something, I couldn’t find anything which can help me. I‘m pretty much stucked adopting the latest and greatest frameworks/APIs in my App and taking the next steps porting my app to visionOS. Long story short 😃: Does someone have an idea what is the alternative to SceneView for USDZ 3D models? I appreciate your support!! Thanks in advance!

CapturedRoom.Section is missing a lot of information
The Section struct only publicly makes the center property available, but this is a SIMD3 that doesn't seem to line up with the rest of the model. All other objects have a 4x4 transform matrix that accurately gives each position and rotation. When inspecting a Section in the debugger, many more properties are visible such as polygon and transform. Why are these not visible? The transform in particular seems necessary to make any sort of use of the Sections.

Download files on VisionPro, but after removing VisionPro, the download fails. How can I solve this problem?
I downloaded the file through Scoot, and when I remove VisionPro, the app will call the StreamDelegate method and return ". endEncountered". How can I solve this problem? Thank you!

Collision Detection Fails After Anchoring ModelEntity to Hand in VisionOS

I created two ModelEntity objects — a sphere and a cube — and added a DragGesture to the cube. When I drag the cube over the sphere, the two collide correctly, and the collision is logged in the console. So far, everything works as expected. ARCoachingOverlayView replacement for RealityView
I thought the ARCoachingOverlayView was a nice touch, so each apps ARKit coaching was recognizable and I used it in my ARView/ARSCNView based apps. Now with RealityView, is there any replacement planned? Or should we just use UIViewRepresentable and wrap ARCoachingOverlayView?

Do you retain a reference to your content events in RealityView?
Do you retain a reference to your content (RealityViewContent) events? For example, the Manipulation Events docs from Apple use _ to discard the result. If I correctly understand, a new Enterprise API has been introduced In visionOS 26 allowing to fix windows to the user frame of reference, implementing a something like an "head up display", with the window tracking the user movements. Is this API only available to enterprise applications, and if so is there a plan to make it available for every kind of app?

Imitating a grip on an object
I'm playing about with the hand tracking systems in reality kit / Vision Pro I thought it would be interesting if I could attach a virtual object to a hand when the hand is gripping (thought it would be fun to attach a basic cylinder to mimic a wand from Harry Potter) I'm able to detect when the user is gripping but having trouble placing an object as though it's within the hand. The simplest version of this is using an AnchorEntity pointing to the user's palm which kind of works, but quickly breaks the illusion when you rotate the wrist or hand. It seems as though I will have to roll my own anchor entity using the various points of the user's hand and I thought calculating some median point between the thumb and little finger tips would be a good start but it's proven a little difficult as we need both rotation and position. I'm already out of my depth with reality kit and matrices (and thanks to ChatGPT) I have some code, but as soon as I apply the position manually (as opposed to a hand anchor entity) it fails to render on the user's hand. It feels like this should already have been something someone has looked in to, any ideas on what might be the issue here? My app for framing and arranging pictures from Photos on visionOS allows users to write the arrangements they create to .reality files using RealityKit entity.write(to:) that they then display to customers on their websites. RC Pro Timeline Notification Not Received in Xcode
I'm having a heck of a time getting this to work. I'm trying to add an event notification at the end of a timeline animation to trigger something in code but I'm not receiving the notification from RC Pro. I've watched that Compose Interactive 3D Content video quite a few times now and have tried many different ways. RC Pro has the correct ID names on the notifications. I'm not a programmer at all. Extending or disabling the 1.5-meter boundary in ImmersiveSpace
I’m currently developing an app for visionOS and working with an ImmersiveSpace. I’ve noticed that the system automatically enforces a safety boundary at approximately 1.5 meters. If the user moves beyond this limit, the content fades out or the system reverts to Passthrough. Is there any way to disable this boundary or extend its radius? This app is currently in the experimental/verification phase, and it is intended to be run on a Vision Pro in Developer Mode. Since the primary goal is to test large-scale spatial interactions during development, I am looking for any way—including developer-specific settings or configurations—to bypass or expand this limit. If there isn't a direct API to change the boundary size, are there any recommended workarounds for testing movement within large environments? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

There some limitations if I open a spatial photo with Quick Look when an immersive space is on?
When viewing an immersive space and I open a spatial photo in Quick Look, which hides the entire app interface to show the photo. Is there a memory limit? If the inmersive space is not active, the application keep the interface.

VisionOS 2.0 Main Camera Access Enterprise Entitlement Not Recognized in XCode
I am working on a project that requires access to the main camera on the Vision Pro. My main account holder applied for the necessary enterprise entitlement and we were approved and received the Enterprise.license file by email. I have added the Enterprise.license file to my project, and manually added the com.apple.developer.arkit.main-camera-access.allow entitlement to the entitlement file and set it to true since it was not available in the list when I tried to use the + Capability button in the Signing & Capabilites tab. I am getting an error: Provisioning profile "iOS Team Provisioning Profile: " doesn't include the com.apple.developer.arkit.main-camera-access.allow entitlement. I have checked the provisioning profile settings online, and there is no manual option for adding the main camera access entitlement, and it does not seem to be getting the approval from the license.

How to Renew visionOS Enterprise API Entitlements?
How can I renew visionOS Enterprise API? I've spent so much time contacting Apple Developer Support. They said they don't know the renewal process either and are "checking with the internal operations team" - but it's been 2 months with no updates. The official documentation (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/visionOS/building-spatial-experiences-for-business-apps-with-enterprise-apis#Request-the-entitlements) says: "The license file comes with an expiration date, so you need to renew it before then to ensure your entitlements continue to function." But it doesn't explain HOW to renew. When I asked Apple Support about this, they told me: "After Apple approves your app for one or more entitlements, you receive a license file, along with additional instructions." But I never received any instructions when I was first approved, and I still don't know how to renew. There's also no direct way to contact the Enterprise API team. Now my visionOS Enterprise API license has been expired for 2 months. I submitted a renewal request, but I still haven't heard anything back. Is it normal to take more than 2 months for approval? Alternatives to SceneView
Hey there, since SceneView has been marked as „deprecated“ for SwiftUI, I‘m wondering which alternatives should be considered for the following situation: I have a SwiftUI app (for iOS and iPadOS) where users can view (with rotate, scale, move gestures) 3D models (USDZ) in a scene. The models will be downloaded from web backend and called via local URL paths. What I tested: I‘ve tried ARView in .nonAR mode, RealityView, however I didn‘t get the expected response -> User can rotate, scale the 3D models in a virtual space. ARView in nonAR mode still shows the object like in normal AR mode without camera stream. I tried to add Gestures to the RealityView on iOS - loading USDZ 3D models worked but the gestures didn’t). Model3D is only available for visionOS (that would be amazing to have it for iOS) I also checked QuickLook Preview however it works pretty strange via Filepicker etc, which is not the way how the user should load the 3D models in my app. Maybe I missed something, I couldn’t find anything which can help me. I‘m pretty much stucked adopting the latest and greatest frameworks/APIs in my App and taking the next steps porting my app to visionOS. Long story short 😃: Does someone have an idea what is the alternative to SceneView for USDZ 3D models? I appreciate your support!! Thanks in advance!

CapturedRoom.Section is missing a lot of information
The Section struct only publicly makes the center property available, but this is a SIMD3 that doesn't seem to line up with the rest of the model. All other objects have a 4x4 transform matrix that accurately gives each position and rotation. When inspecting a Section in the debugger, many more properties are visible such as polygon and transform. Why are these not visible? The transform in particular seems necessary to make any sort of use of the Sections.
