I implemented consumable in-app purchases in an iPhone app using ProductView(). When I tap the payment button in ProductView(), I am taken to the payment screen and once the payment is completed the next code seems to be executed, so there doesn't seem to be a problem, but if I tap the payment button in ProductView() again, the next code is executed without taking me to the payment screen. This means that a single payment can be made multiple times. Can someone help? Cannot use proper sandbox account for internal tester on TestFlight
I cannot test IAP using sandbox account that I logged on from settings, it keeps show my regular Apple ID when I try to test IAP from TestFlight This issue frustrate me and bunch of my colleagues, we cannot manage our subscription when sandbox account is default choosing Apple ID I've seen people complaining about this issue a lot Any help on resolving this issue would be really appreaciated

Handling failed transactions in Storekit 2
When simulating a Storekit error like an invalid device verification or others of that type, should we finish a failed transaction? When I test with a Storekit configuration file, all failed transactions persist after every restart. The Apple-provided sample code for Storekit 2 has transactions finished only when they are successful.

Unable to sign in to Sandbox Apple Account on Simulator
I am unable to sign in to a Sandbox Apple Account, where this issue occurs only via Simulator. Under Settings > Developer, I tap "Sign In" under Sandbox Apple Account. I enter my account credentials, and after bringing me back to the Developer page, the Sign In button briefly appears as disabled, before being re-enabled, without signing in to the account. (The account credentials are also recognized as correct, as I will receive an alert popup if incorrect.) See screenshots below: After signing in, Sign In button appears disabled... ... then is re-enabled without actually signing in to the account. I have now tried setting up multiple sandbox accounts via App Store Connect with various permutations (no confirmation of Apple Account email, confirming Apple Account email, logging in to iCloud and accepting terms of service), running different device simulators, running simulators on different Mac computers... none of which yield a different result. By contrast, I can sign in to the Sandbox Apple Account without issue on a physical device. The problem occurs only via Simulator.

In iOS 26 beta3 version, the finishTransaction method is unable to remove transactions from the SKPaymentQueue, causing transactions to remain in the queue even after being processed.
We have some users who have upgraded to iOS 26 beta3. Currently, we observe that when these users make in-app purchases, our code calls [[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] finishTransaction:transaction]; method, and we clearly receive the successful removal callback in the delegate method - (void)paymentQueue:(SKPaymentQueue *)queue removedTransactions:(NSArray<SKPaymentTransaction *> *)transactions. However, when users click on products with the same productId again, the method - (void)paymentQueue:(SKPaymentQueue *)queue updatedTransactions:(NSArray *)transactions still returns information about previously removed transactions, preventing users from making further in-app purchases.

Calling AppTransaction in a SpriteKit app
Hello 👋! I'm trying to switch the business model in my app from premium to freemium, gracefully so that existing users aren't bothered. I'd like to provide newly-paywalled content for original paid users. For this to work, I need to use originalAppVersion in AppTransaction, and support iOS 16 at minimum. I've asked about originalAppVersion earlier here. I've upped to iOS 16 already, but I don't exactly know how to call AppTransaction.shared to get originalAppVersion. The issue lies in the fact that my app is based on SpriteKit, so the operative areas I have available to call AppTransaction are ostensibly limited to AppDelegate and GameViewController. I'm using the code from Supporting business model changes by using the app transaction, but if I place it in either GameViewController or AppDelegate, for example in application(_:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:) or viewDidLoad(), I get an error concerning async/await. Now, I understand the gist of it: these are not asynchronous methods. So I'm trying to understand how to do it perhaps outside of these methods. How do I call AppTransaction.shared (and fetch originalAppVersion) in a SpriteKit based app?

Inconsistent notification coming from AppStore Servers
I encountered a scenario involving a subscription and need to determine if it's a problem or an expected outcome. Here are the details: My service received a notification from Apple of type DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS with subtype AUTO_RENEW_DISABLED. The status field received on the payload was equal to 1 - Active. (2024-12-19T15:34:53.801) My service again received a DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS with subtype AUTO_RENEW_DISABLED. But the status field received was 2 - Expired. (2024-12-19T23:34:57.527) My service received an EXPIRED with subtype VOLUNTARY notification. (2024-12-19T23:35:01.669) Is the event 2 an inconsistent event? Since we are receiving a notification that means the auto renew was disabled when the subscription was already expired.

Reuse a product id from app A in app B for In-app purchase in my iOS app
I have an app which is already on App Store with In-app purchase. Now I want to integrate In-app purchase in my another app for the same products as in the existing app. Both the apps are using same Apple Account. Can I reuse those Product Ids from the first app in the second one. If yes, what is the ways to use them. Thank you in advance.

Strange Pattern of Subscriptions + Refunds — Possible Abuse?
Hi everyone, I'm an indie developer and recently noticed some odd behavior in my app's subscription metrics. There’s been a sudden spike in annual subscriptions, which is very unusual for my app — historically, users rarely choose that option. What’s more concerning is that these subscriptions are almost immediately canceled and refunded. Upon checking analytics (RevenueCat + App Store Connect), I also noticed inconsistencies in user location data: users appear to be from one region (like Singapore), but deeper tracking shows actual usage from Vietnam, a market I’ve never targeted and where I do no advertising. This behavior seems coordinated and is affecting my app’s refund rate, which I worry could raise red flags on the App Store side. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Is there a recommended way to report suspicious subscription/refund activity to Apple or prevent potential abuse like this? Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Best current approach to detecting legacy paid app download (without relying on deprecated APIs)?
I’m trying to determine the most appropriate modern method for detecting whether a user originally downloaded a paid app (prior to transitioning the app to freemium/IAP-based access). Historically, this was done by checking for a valid App Store receipt and using SKReceiptRefreshRequest to ensure a fresh one was available. However, SKReceiptRefreshRequest and many related aspects of StoreKit receipt handling are now deprecated in iOS 17+. The current Apple documentation on receipt validation still refers to SKReceiptRefreshRequest, which makes things unclear. With so many deprecations and the push toward StoreKit 2, what’s the recommended path to: Check for a valid App Store receipt Confirm that the app was originally purchased (as a paid app, not via IAP) Persist this info to exempt the user from paywalling the app in the future I don’t need to validate purchases of IAPs — just to detect a legacy paid app download. Any guidance on best practice for this use case, preferably using non-deprecated APIs (StoreKit 2 or otherwise), would be appreciated.

Unpredictable delays in async responses from StoreKit 2
Hi, I've been reported, and I've experienced myself, extremely slow responses from StoreKit 2 on boot. I can reproduce the issue quite consistently with the iPhone, sometimes Transaction.currentEntitlements hangs for minutes even after the device has attained full Internet access. My app is a VPN client, so there's certainly a chicken-and-egg situation, but I'm performing a basic test without the in-app validation in the packet tunnel provider. The tunnel starts fine on boot (on-demand), whereas the app takes ages to return from AppTransaction.shared and Transaction.currentEntitlements. I guess this is caused by some network call inside the framework (maybe spoiled by the on-demand VPN?), but with no timeout, exceptions, logging, or future-proof fallback (appStoreReceiptURL is deprecated), I'm poking in the dark. It goes without saying, keeping the users waiting minutes to be credited for their purchases is a no-go. I still can't find a reasonable workaround, but the frustrating part is that StoreKit 2 was supposed to make these things straightforward. At times, it doesn't feel "ready" and I spend on it a lot of time that I'd rather invest in the product. Does this sound familiar to anybody? Thanks in advance Davide

Regarding the pattern of multiple original transaction IDs being linked
In the app we're distributing, we've identified a user where the Get All Subscription Statuses API returns two original transaction IDs in the data response. This user has gone through cancellations and re-subscriptions since their initial purchase. As for this app, it: Uses subscriptions through in-app purchases. Does not offer upgrades, downgrades, or crossgrades, having only one product. Has never undergone price increases or decreases. Is distributed exclusively in Japan.

Error setting install attribution pingback
Hi there, We have an app targeted for children and we want to use the SkAdNetwork to track installs for campaigns. We don't want to track further in-app events (purchase etc.), just the install event. We added the SDK to our Unity app, listed the network identifiers in the plist file, configured the external campaign according to their instructions, but struggle to see any events for several weeks now. We see the following logs in the app: Registering install attribution pingback. Failed to migrate Install Attribution database schema from 17001 => 17400. SkAdNetwork: No pingbacks found while attempting to register/update. Error setting install attribution pingback registered for app: 1509727806, error: Error Domain=ASDErrorDomain code=1208 How can we debug this further? What does the error mean? Thank you very much! Best practices: ensuring server-side that the AppReceipt sent up by a client belongs to the client
Hi, all! I have an AppStore Server-side question. User sends up an AppReceipt that I am validating. What's the best way to tell the receipt belongs to said user? I want to make sure that the source of the AppReceipt was actually the original purchaser of the item. Is fetching Transaction + AppAccountToken the only way? AppAccountToken can only be utilized if the original purchase used it, and it is associated with the user's data. Is there another way?
