in-app-purchase
I have implemented in-app-purchase in one of my iOS application. I generated the consumable products and these are approved by Apple Showing with Green check. I used StoreKit-2 and locally testing with store sync configuration file. The products I have created on developer accounts automatically synced by Store Configuration file and showing no the screen and I can purchase the product with Xcode environment in development. When uploaded app to test flight, I am not getting products with sandbox email id. Cases I have tries: -Remove my original Apple ID from device and just testing with Apple Sandbox email id -> Not getting products. -Remove configuration file while uploading to test flight -> not fetching products. -Checked the archive build and its in Release mode. Note: I am as a (Admin) team member, not account holder. Issue: Not fetching products on Test flight with Sandbox & in live app. Is there something I have to track here: Agreements for Free Apps Agreement with EFFECTIVE DATE showing 3 Jul 2025 - 20 Sep 2025 & STATUS is Active Agreements for Paid Apps Agreement with EFFECTIVE DATE showing nothing & STATUS is New

Biometric Authentication Behavior in IAP Sandbox Environment
Where the problem occurs: In-app purchase Non-ApplePay Non-local authentication login Environment where the problem occurs: Sandbox environment (Development environment, TestFlight environment) Problem handling process: Open page A in the app and purchase product B (auto-renewable subscription) on that page. User authentication is required to purchase product B. During the authentication process, the user needs to enter the Apple account and Apple account password. After completing the authentication, complete the purchase of product B. Problem in step 3: Why is FaceID or TouchID not used for authentication? Note: Face ID and Password -> iTunes Store and App Store -> Status is Enabled

appTransactionID behavior on logout
The appTransactionID was recently introduced and is documented here: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/apptransaction/apptransactionid From the documentation: "The App Store generates a single, globally unique appTransactionID for each Apple Account that downloads your app and for each family group member for apps that support Family Sharing." This seems like a really useful identifier, so I was wondering about some edge cases of when using it: What happens if a user logs out of his AppStore account and keeps using the app? Is it available when the app is installed from Xcode? is it possible to set it to some value using StoreKit testing? Thanks

I've been stuck with this rejection. Trial button 'greyed out' or non responsive. What they are seeing is my subscriptions not loading into the pay wall. Receipt and Notification behavior after "Remove from Sale"
What is the expected behavior for App Receipts and ASSN v2 notifications when a subscription is set to "Remove from Sale"? I tried to test this in Sandbox, but the "Remove from Sale" setting in App Store Connect doesn't seem to affect the Sandbox environment. For existing subscribers, what happens in the receipt? Does auto_renew_status change to 0 and is expiration_intent populated immediately? Also, which notificationType is sent via ASSN v2?

How to Handle IME Not Generating Receipt in Sandbox IAP
Question: In the sandbox environment, I attempted to perform an In-App Purchase within an IME (Input Method Extension) using a sandbox test account. The purchase flow completed successfully, and I received the success callback. However, I encountered an issue: no receipt file is generated. I tried checking with both the main app’s bundle and the IME’s bundle, but the receipt file was not found in either case. When I attempted to refresh the receipt using SKReceiptRefreshRequest, it failed with an exception (error code: 0). I would appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this issue.

RequestReviewAction never triggering rating dialog
Hello, We are having an issue with the RequestReview API and were hoping to get some help. We know that there is no guarantee that the in-app review modal will show and we know that there are 3 circumstances in which it will definitely not appear: if the user has turned off in-app review/ratings in their settings if the user has submitted a review for that app on that device within the last 365 days if the user has been asked for a review >3 times in the last 365 days When testing our implementation, every single one of our testers did not receive the rating modal despite the fact that we had all our testers turn on the app rating setting and that we have never asked for reviews from our app before. So that seems suspicious. While it is possible that something is up with our code (and I have provided some snippets below) we are also concerned that apple maybe is suppressing it for another reason. We really want to go live with our app review code but unfortunately we are not able to get confidence that it will ever appear for the user. Can you please help us understand why this isn't working. The code: We are using the SwiftUI approach to requesting review. Here are some relevant code snippets Important to note, we have a modal that appears when the user is in our list of active, targeted users. If they tap yes on this modal, it should show the in app rate the app system modal. If they tap no, we present them with an airship survey so that they can give feedback. Here is the code for the Yes button action: @Environment(\.requestReview) private var requestReview private var yesButton: some View { Button( action: { dismiss() requestReview() }, label: { Text(Lingua.General.appRateFirstButton) .regularParagraph() .frame(width: 180, height: 35) } ) .customButtonStyle( foregroundColor: .black, backgroundColor: Color(.powderBlue), radius: 36 ) } and this is the logic we use to determine whether we want to show them the modal in the first place. Obviously, a lot of this code leads to deeper areas in our logic and code but to give an idea... private func showAppRateModalIfNeeded() { if preferencesManager.appRateReviewShown == nil, accountManager.userAccount?.permissions.rateTheApp == true { let appReviewModalVC = UIHostingController(rootView: AppReviewModal()) appReviewModalVC.view.backgroundColor = .init(white: 0, alpha: 0.6) appReviewModalVC.modalPresentationStyle = .overFullScreen appReviewModalVC.modalTransitionStyle = .crossDissolve parentVC?.navigationController?.present(appReviewModalVC, animated: true) preferencesManager.appRateReviewShown = true } } When testing in debug, we do find that the modal appears and works as expected. However, on release builds nobody is able to trigger it. Why? Are we doing something wrong here or is Apple just suppressing it. We are thinking about implementing the button taking the user directly into the app store review but we'd prefer to do the lower-friction dialog in-app if we can get it work so the user doesn't get sent out of the app.

Implementation of IAP -> Trial Period to Purchase Product
I would like to know if it is allowed to offer the user to either unlock the app immediately or partake in a 3-day trial period before making a purchase. I created 2 IAP non-consumable products; 1 for the immediate [which is at a discount] and for the after trial period ends [this is at a higher cost]. Is this something that Apple allows or is frowned upon?

Cannot repurchase subscription SKU — StoreKit keeps returning old expired transaction
Some users cannot repurchase a subscription SKU after it has expired. Flow: User previously subscribed. User canceled and the subscription fully expired. After weeks, user reinstalls the app and taps the same SKU. StoreKit does not create a new purchase transaction. Instead, StoreKit always returns the old expired transaction in updatedTransactions. Therefore, the user is permanently unable to purchase the SKU again. We have already tried: Adding payment observer at app launch Calling finishTransaction for all transactions Clearing queue at startup SKReceiptRefreshRequest Server-side verifyReceipt Ensuring subscription is truly expired (not in grace/retry) Not calling restoreCompletedTransactions None of these resolved the issue. StoreKit still only sends the old transaction and never generates a new one. Expected behavior: A new purchase transaction should be created when user taps the expired subscription SKU. Actual behavior: StoreKit repeatedly pushes the old expired transaction, blocking new purchases. We can provide: Some users cannot repurchase a subscription SKU after it has expired. Support Request: App Store Server Notification Inaccuracies
Unsure if this has been reported before, but I'm seeing a specific scenario where Apple is sending back faulty information in App Store Server Notifications. When users have payment failures that result in the membership expiring, and then reactivate later on with a different subscription, they are given a new originalTransactionId, yet we have three cases where we receive messages about the old originalTransactionId, indicating that after the user recovers their subscription, Apple is resurrecting the old subscription and treating it as if it is active BUT ultimately decides to deactivate it. Here is a sample screenshot of an impacted user. We only have three month and annual plans. Timeline: March 21st: This user signed up for a 3 Month Plan June 21st: This user fails to pay July 7th: After our 16 day grace period, this user loses access July 29th: This user sees they lost access and repurchase Augsut 19th: Their membership is deactivated (long before their 3 Month Subscription is up) For further verification I've also attached a record of all the payloads we've received from Apple for this user. Please let me know if you need any more details to fix this bug OR if it has already been fixed! Thank you. user_webhook_data_sanitized.csv

Is there an API provided by the App Store Server API for canceling subscriptions?
Is there an App Store Server API available that allows cancellation of specific subscriptions by specifying transaction_id or similar identifiers? Background of these questions: We occasionally suspend user accounts due to violations of our service terms and conditions. In such cases, we would like to forcibly cancel their subscriptions if possible. However, we could not find relevant information in the documentation, which is why we are reaching out with these questions. Please let us know.

StoreKit1 Usage error
I encountered the following issues while developing in-app purchases; please help me: When attempting to purchase a product that has already been purchased, SKPaymentQueue reports an error instead of a success message: <SKPaymentQueue: 0x134665380>: Payment completed with error: Error Domain=ASDServerErrorDomain Code=3532 "You’re currently subscribed to this." UserInfo={NSLocalizedFailureReason=You’re currently subscribed to this., client-environment-type=Sandbox, AMSServerErrorCode=3532, storefront-country-code=USA} After buying product A on one iPhone using a sandbox account, restoring purchases on another iPhone with the same sandbox account via paymentQueue.restoreCompletedTransactions(withApplicationUsername:) does not return the previously purchased product A data; it directly calls restoreCompletedTransactionsFinished.

Switching App Store Server Notifications from V1 → V2 — what happens to existing subscriptions?
Hello — quick question about App Store Server Notifications migration. We have a live app using Production V1 notifications for recurring in-app subscriptions. We plan to switch the Production webhook to V2. After the switch: Will notifications for existing subscriptions be delivered in V1 format, V2 format, or will it depend (e.g., queued V1 retries vs new V2 deliveries)? If V1 retries are queued, how long should we expect overlap/retries to continue? Any recommended cutover best practices (support both formats, revert process, etc.)? Happy to share additional details. Thanks.

Best practice to prevent users from switching between subscriptions in the same group?
Hello everyone, For example, our app currently has one subscription group in App Store Connect with 5 plans (2 annual, 2 monthly, and 1 quarterly). By default, users can go into Apple Subscriptions in Settings and freely switch between all of these plans. However, our business requirement is to only allow users to stay on one annual plan and one quarterly plan. We don’t want them to switch to the other plans. My questions are: Is there any best practice or recommended approach to restrict subscription switching within the same group? Would removing the unwanted products from sale be the correct approach, or are there any risks/downsides with this method? Has anyone faced a similar situation and found a practical solution? Any guidance or shared experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

original transaction id not found
Hi everyone, I’ve been receiving App Store Server Notifications (webhooks) normally for a specific transaction. Everything was working fine — I could use the original_transaction_id to query transaction history, and transaction_id to look up specific transactions. However, starting recently, all API calls for that transaction (both Get Transaction Info and Get Transaction History) now return not found. • The webhooks used to arrive normally for this transaction. • I am sure I’m querying the correct environment (production vs sandbox). • The IDs I’m using are exactly the ones from the last webhook payload. • I haven’t changed my integration code. My questions: 1. Under what conditions does Apple’s API return “not found” for original_transaction_id that previously worked? 2. Can Apple actually purge transaction records (in production)? 3. Could this happen due to refunds, revocations, or other account actions? 4. Is this expected behavior, or should I file a DTS (Technical Support Incident)? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

in-App Purchase - Showing Product Not available
Hello Fellow Developers, I recently built a simple craft related app called "Genie Crystals" with a landing page. there is a button on landing page which redirects to a main template generator page. Here the user can play with the parameters and create an output which can be exported. to export there is an unlock button which is linked to the in-app purchase configured in the app. Initially it was not capturing price properly so I modified the code slightly to keep the button in disabled state until the product details got fetched in background asynchronously. But when I released the app and downloaded it on a different device at the time of load itself, I am getting the alert - product not available. I have used correct product Id in the program. I have confirmed that. I think I am missing something. Any help will be appreciated. I am new to this so if I need to share any additional information kindly let me know. Thanks.

Thanks.
