New features for APNs token authentication now available
Team-scoped keys introduce the ability to restrict your token authentication keys to either development or production environments. Topic-specific keys in addition to environment isolation allow you to associate each key with a specific Bundle ID streamlining key management. For detailed instructions on accessing these features, read our updated documentation on establishing a token-based connection to APNs.

How to get the full process name like Activity Monitor
I'm try to monitor all processes by ES client. But I found the process name is different from the Activity Monitor displayed. As shown in the picture below, there are ShareSheetUI(Pages) and ShareSheetUI(Finder) processes in Activity Monitor, but I can only get the same name ShareSheetUI, I thought of many ways to display the name in parentheses, but nothing worked, so there is a way to display the process name like Activity Monitor?

Message Filter Extension and multiple servers
In the documentation for a Message Filter Extension it states: If you have servers that can help your app extension determine how to handle a message, you must add the Associated Domains capability to your Xcode project and specify those domains. (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/sms_and_call_reporting/sms_and_mms_message_filtering/creating_a_message_filter_app_extension) The words servers and domains are in the plural. If it's possible to specify multiple servers/domains for a Message Filter Extension then how is that done? There's no documentation nor reference for that. If multiple domains can be added to the info.plist then what is the iOS behavior in that case? Can the extension supply/change which domain is used at run time?

App Clip Not Launching From Approved Apple Maps Action Link
We’ve set up an advanced App Clip experience that successfully launches when a user scans our QR code. However, the same App Clip invocation URL does not launch when tapping the associated Action Link on our Apple Place Card in Apple Maps. Instead of opening the App Clip, the link falls back to the website. What We Have Done So Far: App Clip Launched in App Store Connect: Our App Clip is approved and live on the App Store. Here is the invocation URL: https://appclip.parkzenapp.com/park?q=oJrbSIgx Below is the QR code for our Advanced App Clip experience we are attempting to open in our Apple Maps Place card When scanning the QR code that uses the same App Clip invocation URL, the App Clip reliably launches as expected. Here is our apple-app-site-association file, thats correctly served from the associated domain: https://appclip.parkzenapp.com/.well-known/apple-app-site-association Add here is a screenshot showing how the appclip.parkzenapp.com domain is correctly validated. Advanced App Clip Experience: We created and submitted an advanced App Clip Experience specifically tied to our location on Apple Maps. This App Clip Experience is approved and live. Below is an image of our set up of this Advanced App Clip Experience Business Connect: We've created the Apple Maps Location in business connect and added the advanced App Clip experience invocation URL as an Action Link in the place card. See screenshot below. Apple Maps Place: https://maps.apple.com/place?auid=906421750045811407 Despite meeting these conditions, when a user taps the Action Link (the "Reserve" button in the Apple Maps Place Card), the fallback website opens rather than the App Clip. Question: What additional step or configuration might we be missing to ensure the Action Link on our Apple Maps place card triggers the App Clip instead of the website? Thank you

Apple Watch CMMotionManager acceleration direction
I'm working with the Apple Watch's acceleration data and have referred to the document Identify the coordinate axes of the device. According to this document, the X-axis points to the right side of the watch, the Y-axis points towards the top side, and the Z-axis points towards the user. However, when I place the watch on a flat surface and move it horizontally to the right, I observe that the X-axis acceleration is negative. Similarly, when I move the watch vertically upwards, the Y-axis acceleration also shows a negative value. Is this expected behavior, or am I misunderstanding something about the coordinate system or acceleration readings?

Network connection works in cmd Line app but not SwiftUI app
I'm writing a SwiftUI LDAP Browser. I built a command line swift app to do some testing and it works fine. I had to add the certificates from the LDAP server to the system keychain before it would work with TLS/SSL. Then I ported the same code into a SwiftUI app but I cannot get it to connect via TLS/SSL. On the same machine with the same certs it errors with: An unexpected error occurred: message("Can't contact LDAP server") It connect fine with our TLS/SSL. I suspect this may have to do with App Transport Security. Can anyone point me in the right direction to resolve this? App is MacOS only.

Background refresh or processing app
I am writing an app which mainly is used to update data used by other apps on the device. After the user initializes some values in the app, they almost never have to return to it (occasionally to add a "friend"). The app needs to run a background task at least daily, however, without the user's intervention (or even awareness, once they've given permission). My understanding of background refresh tasks is that if the user doesn't activate the app in the foreground periodically, the scheduled background tasks may never run. If this is true, do I want to use a background processing task instead, or is there a better solution (or have I misunderstood entirely)?

New apple pay in PC chrome dosn't work with iOS 18
I've encountered an issue with Apple Pay in PC Chrome with iOS 18. Below is the scenario and code for reference: Issue Scenario: A button is clicked to initiate the Apple Pay process. A QR code window pops up, which I scan with my phone. As soon as the session is established, the window closes immediately, not allowing the user to select a payment card. No errors appear in the console. Here's the code snippet for handling the Apple Pay button click: const onApplePayButtonClicked = () => { if (!window.ApplePaySession) { return; } log('Apple Pay button clicked'); const request = { countryCode: 'UA', currencyCode: 'UAH', merchantCapabilities: ['supports3DS'], supportedNetworks: ['visa', 'masterCard'], total: { label: 'PoC Merchant Apple Pay', type: 'final', amount: amount.toString(), }, }; const session = new window.ApplePaySession(3, request); session.onvalidatemerchant = async (event) => { try { log('Creating ApplePaySession'); const response = await fetchAppleSessionAPI(event.validationURL, applePayMercantId, { deviceId, refreshToken }); log('validateMerchantResponse', response); session.completeMerchantValidation(response.applePaySessionData); } catch (error) { log('validateMerchantError', error); } }; session.onshippingmethodselected = () => { const newTotal = { label: 'PoC Merchant Apple Pay', type: 'final', amount: amount.toString(), }; session.completeShippingMethodSelection(window.ApplePaySession.STATUS_SUCCESS, {}, newTotal); }; session.onpaymentauthorized = async (event) => { log('onpaymentauthorized', event); const result = { status: window.ApplePaySession.STATUS_SUCCESS, }; session.completePayment(result); log('TOKEN', event.payment.token); }; session.begin(); }; Troubleshooting Steps Taken: Verified that window.ApplePaySession is available. Checked for any console errors—none found. Confirmed that the QR code scanning and session initiation work as expected. Expected Behavior: After scanning the QR code and establishing the session, the user should be able to select a payment card and proceed with the payment flow. Current Behavior: The window closes immediately after the session is established, preventing card selection. Has anyone else faced this issue or has insights on how to resolve it? Thanks in advance!

Problems running the "Paloalto GlobalProtect" app on iOS iPhone
When connecting SSLVPN through the "Paloalto GlobalProtect" app on an iOS iPhone, I try to connect through my Google Workspace account. During this process, an error occurs when logging in after entering my Google account. The error is as follows. The Paloalto Networks TAC Support team recommends that you contact Apple Support. When connecting SSLVPN through the "Paloalto GlobalProtect" app on an Android device, I can log in normally with my Google account. It only doesn't work on iOS iPhones. ~/Downloads/GPSupportInfo/Agent.log:119: 2024-12-16 14:08:08.047 GlobalProtect[4402:1352815] Error: (ManagerUtils.mm:566) Send message failed: GlobalProtect, error: Error Domain=NEVPNErrorDomain Code=1 "(null)" ~/Downloads/GPSupportInfo/Agent.log:119: 2024-12-16 14:08:08.047 GlobalProtect[4402:1352815] Error: (ManagerUtils.mm:566) Send message failed: GlobalProtect, error: Error Domain=NEVPNErrorDomain Code=1 "(null)" ~/Downloads/GPSupportInfo/Agent.log:119: 2024-12-16 14:08:08.047 GlobalProtect[4402:1352815] Error: (ManagerUtils.mm:566) Send message failed: GlobalProtect, error: Error Domain=NEVPNErrorDomain Code=1 "(null)" ~/Downloads/GPSupportInfo/Agent.log:119: 2024-12-16 14:08:08.047 GlobalProtect[4402:1352815] Error: (ManagerUtils.mm:566) Send message failed: GlobalProtect, error: Error Domain=NEVPNErrorDomain Code=1 "(null)" Paloalto said that it is the same as the content of the Apple Developer Forum below and told me to contact Apple Support. https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/25928 Please tell me how to solve this problem.

Can I ensure location is saved to SwiftData within Share Extension lifetime?
I am writing a SwiftData/SwiftUI app in which the user saves simple records, tagged with their current location. Core Location can take up to 10 seconds to retrieve the current location from its requestLocation() call. I the main app I have wrapped the CLLocationManager calls with async implementations. I kick off a Task when a new record is created, and write the location to my @Model on the main thread when it completes. A realistic use of the share extension doesn't give the task enough time to complete. I can use performExpiringActivity to complete background processing after the share extension closes but this needs to be a synchronous block. Is there some way of using performExpiringActivity when relying on a delegate callback from something like Core Location?

Is original_transaction_id and transaction_id globally unique?
Hello, Apple App Store Server API Team! I have one questions about the identifiers provided by Apple App Store Server API. Could you please answer? We are running an iOS App. In our app, the transactionId we get from Apple App Store Server API is called T1. (Example) Q1. Is it correct that other iOS apps cannot get T1 for transactionId from Apple App Store Server API? (I'm wondering if the transactionId is globally unique across apps.) Thank you!

Inquiry About Background Permission Issue in My App
I am writing to address a concern regarding the background permission functionality in my app, which is critical for ensuring user safety as they navigate various terrains. This feature also enables users to smoothly record their navigation tracks for review after their activities. Recently, I've noticed that this functionality is not working as seamlessly as before. Additionally, I observed that the app is not categorized under 'health and fitness'—could reclassifying it improve background activity? Before I delve into a detailed code review, I wanted to check if this issue might be related to sync or settings on the App Store side, such as permission configurations, app updates, or other related factors. Or, is it more likely an issue stemming from the app’s codebase?

Critical SKAdNetwork Attribution
Subject/Title: Critical SKAdNetwork Attribution Failures (Bug Type: 237, Failure Type: 1201 in ASDErrorDomain) Issue Summary We are encountering repeated SKAdNetwork attribution failures (failureType: 1201 in ASDErrorDomain) for ad impression events processed through the ad network mj797d8u6f.skadnetwork. These failures are causing significant revenue losses, as ad impressions are not being properly attributed to installs. The issue occurs across multiple campaigns and involves both SKAdNetwork API 3.0 and 4.0, suggesting a systemic problem with attribution validation or network communication. This problem is critical as it disrupts advertisers’ ability to track conversions, optimize campaigns, and allocate budgets effectively. Technical Details Key Logs: Below are anonymized samples of the failed SKAdNetwork events: Log Sample 1 (Failure): { "bug_type": "237", "timestamp": "2025-01-07 22:49:15.00 -0500", "os_version": "iPhone OS 18.2.1 (22C161)", "roots_installed": 0, "incident_id": "78523BD9-1F58-4738-B526-8A8A63203214" } { "advertisementStoryId": "3D2E7EBB-1A57-4DF8-9375-2C465F423038", "apiVersion": "3.0", "eventType": "adImpression", "resultType": "finalized", "anonymous": true, "failureType": 1201, "failureDomain": "ASDErrorDomain", "clientEventId": "0F456623-584F-4913-BBD3-C3FD1219D104", "os": "iOS", "topic": "xp_amp_skad_perf", "adType": "app", "adNetworkId": "mj797d8u6f.skadnetwork", "eventTime": 1736305200000, "osBuildNumber": "22C161", "hardwareFamily": "iPhone", "api": "SKAdNetwork" } Log Sample 2 (Failure): { "bug_type": "237", "timestamp": "2025-01-07 22:49:15.00 -0500", "os_version": "iPhone OS 18.2.1 (22C161)", "roots_installed": 0, "incident_id": "0CBF612D-F0D9-449E-A34E-DE2DB92BEC0D" } { "advertisementStoryId": "946E568C-D2C1-478F-BFF3-4996C48F9B39", "apiVersion": "3.0", "eventType": "adImpression", "resultType": "finalized", "anonymous": true, "failureType": 1201, "failureDomain": "ASDErrorDomain", "clientEventId": "1A3D48FB-4452-4FD8-BB25-1195470A53DC", "os": "iOS", "topic": "xp_amp_skad_perf", "adType": "app", "adNetworkId": "mj797d8u6f.skadnetwork", "eventTime": 1736298000000, "osBuildNumber": "22C161", "hardwareFamily": "iPhone", "api": "SKAdNetwork" } Log Sample 3 (Success Example for Comparison): { "bug_type": "237", "timestamp": "2025-01-07 22:49:15.00 -0500", "os_version": "iPhone OS 18.2.1 (22C161)", "roots_installed": 0, "incident_id": "BFEAC86B-8195-4DB0-96FF-2028107256AD" } { "advertisementStoryId": "946E568C-D2C1-478F-BFF3-4996C48F9B39", "apiVersion": "3.0", "eventType": "adImpression", "resultType": "finalized", "anonymous": true, "clientEventId": "F6265488-E0FB-448A-A406-3F7254BCA9D7", "os": "iOS", "topic": "xp_amp_skad_perf", "adType": "app", "adNetworkId": "mj797d8u6f.skadnetwork", "eventTime": 1736294400000, "osBuildNumber": "22C161", "hardwareFamily": "iPhone", "api": "SKAdNetwork" } Failure Details: Failure Type: 1201 Failure Domain: ASDErrorDomain Ad Network ID: mj797d8u6f.skadnetwork API Versions Affected: 3.0, 4.0 Timeframe of Failures: All logs occur within 2025-01-07 22:00:00 UTC to 23:00:00 UTC. Environment: OS Version: iOS 18.2.1 (Build 22C161). Device Type: iPhone (hardwareFamily: iPhone). App Configuration: Includes the ad network ID in the Info.plist under SKAdNetworkItems. Impact Details Financial Loss: Based on failure rates, we estimate $20–$65/day per advertiser for small campaigns and $75–$375/day per advertiser for larger campaigns. If 100 advertisers are affected, daily losses range from $2,000–$37,500. Over a week, losses could exceed $70,000 to $262,500 or more. Operational Impact: Advertisers cannot track installs or optimize campaigns, leading to inefficient ad spending and potential budget reallocation to other networks. Damaged trust between advertisers and the ad network. Reputation Risk: Continued failures harm the credibility of the SKAdNetwork framework, critical in a post-ATT (App Tracking Transparency) ecosystem. Steps to Reproduce Serve an ad impression through the ad network mj797d8u6f.skadnetwork. Monitor SKAdNetwork attribution for that impression. Observe repeated failures (failureType: 1201) despite the resultType: finalized status. Recommendations for Investigation Attribution Timeout: Verify if these failures stem from delayed responses or missed attribution windows. Ad Network Configuration: Confirm the ad network’s integration complies with SKAdNetwork API 3.0 and 4.0 requirements. Infrastructure Review: Investigate potential bottlenecks or failures in Apple’s attribution servers (ASDErrorDomain) or communication delays. Siri Shortcuts Response Templates No work on iOS18.1.1
I have shortcuts up and running and I have my custom response added to my completion handler since day1. Recently I upgraded to iOS18, and found out the app I develop can not display the custom response. I test the app on iOS17.6, the display of custom response is no problem. The situation is exactly like the problem posted on 2018: https://forums.developer.apple.com/forums/thread/109324 Can anyone help me or have the same bugs? Thank you so much! Happy 2025

BLE HID Gamepad on nRF52805: Not Recognized on iOS
I am working on a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) project using the nRF52840 Development Kit (DK), which has been reconfigured to simulate an nRF52805 chip. The firmware is based on Nordic Semiconductor's ble_app_hids_keyboard example, with modifications to implement a BLE HID Gamepad. I am using the S113 SoftDevice and have successfully tested the functionality with Android devices. The gamepad is recognized as a HID device, and it works as expected on Android, verified using the hardwareTester website. However, when I connect the gamepad to an iPhone via BLE, the same hardwareTester website does not respond as it does on Android, indicating that the iPhone does not recognize the device as a gamepad. The BLE connection is established successfully, but it seems iOS does not interpret the HID report descriptor or the BLE HID service correctly. I suspect there might be compatibility issues with the HID descriptor or the GATT attributes for iOS-specific BLE HID requirements. I would like to have some help.

Apple's CDN has only partially rolled out the changes made to the AASA file two weeks ago
We updated the apple-app-site-association file two weeks ago and we are only seeing the new content from Apple's CDN serving certain regions such as Texas and Canada. Regions such as Colorado intermittently sees the old content and California has been receiving the old content all the time. Is this a known issue? If yes, when can we expect this to be fixed and where to check the status? If not, can someone in charge of CDN please look into this? Let me know if there is a better place to report this issue and get the support ASAP though. Thank you in advance and happy new year!

optimize Application performance about background exit
Hello, I am currently optimizing the performance of my application. I would like to obtain information about users being killed after leaving the application in the background, in order to evaluate whether the application is running normally in the background. I noticed that there is a Background Termination information in Xcode ->Organizer that records background exits. I would like to know the rules for obtaining this information and what is the health standard for this indicator on the Apple side?
