If I have a macOS devices enrolled in MDM, with a DDM policy defined to deliver passcode settings to the device I can run: sudo pwpolicy -getaccountpolicies to see the configuration on the device. I can subsequently run: sudo pwpolicy -clearaccountpolicies Then all passcode policies applied in my declarations are cleared from the device allowing the user to set and use any password they want with no bearing on the delivered passcode settings. I have left my macOS devices for days on and off network and the pwpolicy data never returns. The passcode settings do not restore on the device until I do one of the following: manually re-push all declarations from MDM log off and log back on reboot the computer It was my understanding that DDM was meant to assess device state and self heal on its own without requiring an MDM service to re-push any commands. Based on this finding this seems broken or I may misunderstand how DDM is supposed to work. macOS version: 26.4.1

I have created a jwt token with headers { 'typ': 'JWT', 'alg': 'RS256' } and claim as : { 'iss': dep server UUID from Accounts call, 'iat': epoc time in seconds, 'jti': random uuid, 'service_type': 'com.apple.maid' } And signed the token with private key created during DEP MDM server creation. On the device I see Verification error when tried to login with Managed Apple account. In ABM, Access management setting was set to Managed Devices /Supervised only. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a longstanding restriction payload for supervised iOS devices that disables "Erase All Content and Settings." We have been experimenting with supervised watches paired with supervised phones that have that payload applied, and yet "Erase All Content and Settings" remains available on the watch. Is this: – a) An error with our payload? Should we be sending something else? – b) A bug in watchOS supervision? – c) A deliberate design choice? If so, what is the rationale for preventing organizations from maintaining this very basic level of control over devices they may be configuring and dispatching into the field?

I registered in this summer, uploaded 2 apps. But recently I decided to add iAP to my apps, everything is ready, in Xcode sandbox everything works fine, but when I uploaded new version to TestFlight to test, when I tap on the subscription it says something like "Product not found". (I have added subscriptions to the app, and added them to the version before submitting, also, this version is in status "awaiting developer release" so I can tap a button and this new version with iAPs will be on App Store. But im unsure what to do, because exactly this verified by Apple's version is not working in TestFlight.) In Business section of my Apple Developer Account in Agreements I only have agreement of free apps, but not about the paid apps. 
When I registered I used my (R)(us)sian passport, I think this is the reason that I simply don't even have the agreement of paid apps to accept it. 
I have multiple passports, and multiple EU debit cards. I emailed apple to change the location of my account (to another EU country), but they ghosted me. They sent me emails to upload documents about 4 or 5 times, every time I uploaded my another passport, got an auto email "thank you, we will write you in 2-3 days", but either they did not write me, or they said that the document is not in English (it isn't). 
What do I do? Also, to my situation, someone of my family has a company in (R)(us)sia, and I have in EU (Estonia). Maybe if nothing will work out with "Individual account", I should change to my company? And what is better EU or (R)(us)sian?

How can we receive the iPadOS 18.6.1 update on an iPad? We have configured the MDM update days policy to receive recent, but not the latest, iPadOS updates; however, we are only able to get versions 18.6.2 and 18.6. I'm using Apple's MDM protocol InstalledApplicationListCommand to get information about installed apps. From iOS/iPadOS 26, the app information obtained by InstalledApplicationListCommand includes information on all apps including system apps (apps that come standard with iOS/iPadOS). https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/installed-application-list-command I want iOS/iPadOS26 to get the same information as the app information I get from the previous iOS/iPadOS, and I want to exclude system apps from the app information I get with the InstalledApplicationListCommand. As a way to exclude system apps, you can use the app ID I'm thinking of a way to exclude anything that starts with "com.apple" (the Identifier key value of the InstalledApplicationListResponse.InstalledApplicationListItem object). As a way to exclude system apps, please tell us whether the above method is appropriate and whether there will be any problems in the future.

We have created provisioning profile from apple developer account for our iPadOS app, the expiry date shown in the profile is 20-Aug-2026. However, when when I build the app with this provisional profile the expiry date shown in the app is 6-May-2026. My Certification expires on 2027. I see a embeded.mobileprovision profile inside the app, and it has an expiry of 6-May-2026. I did a clean build, cleared unnecessary profiles from profile folder, created a new provisional profile and tried, but nothing seems help. We have a few apps, and no other app has this issue, only those two apps have this issue. As the expiry date the shorten, we also need to special handle these two apps, Will you please help me to resolve this issue? Thanks.

Hello, I have an Apple Developer Enterprise account, and Apple Support has already enabled MDM for my account. I successfully downloaded and installed my MDM Vendor Certificate (it shows up in Keychain as MDM Vendor: [My Company Name] with its private key). Here’s what I’ve done so far: Exported the Vendor Certificate + private key as a .p12, then converted to .pem and .key using OpenSSL. Generated an unsigned CSR with CN=com.apple.mgmt.External. using OpenSSL. Attempted to sign the CSR using: my Vendor certificate the Vendor private key Apple Worldwide Developer Relations (WWDR) intermediate certificate OpenSSL smime -sign command with DER output Problem: Every time I try to upload the vendor-signed CSR to the Apple Push Certificates Portal, I get an error (CSR rejected). Sometimes OpenSSL even fails with “unable to load certificates” depending on how the WWDR certificate is included. My Questions: What is the correct OpenSSL command and certificate chain Apple expects for signing the CSR? Do I need to include any additional intermediates besides WWDR? Is there an official Apple reference example for generating the vendor-signed CSR that the Push Certificates Portal will accept? A yellow banner has appeared on my account saying: “The Apple Developer Program License Agreement has been updated and needs to be reviewed.” But here’s the problem: I’ve already accepted the latest agreement long ago. When I log into both: App Store Connect Developer Portal …there’s no new agreement to accept, no prompt, no button — absolutely nothing new. The yellow banner simply refuses to go away, and it's preventing updates. I’ve already: Cleared cache & cookies Tried Safari, Chrome, Firefox Logged in from different devices/networks Verified that I am the Account Holder Reported the issue via Apple Developer Support (more than a week ago) Despite clearly stating the urgency of the matter, I’ve received no fix and no timeline. Hello, I’d like to clarify the technical limitations around app updates in an Apple School Manager (ASM) + MDM environment. Environment • iOS/iPadOS devices supervised and managed via Apple School Manager • Apps are distributed via ASM (VPP / Custom App) and managed by MDM • Apps are App Store–signed (not Enterprise/In-House) • Some apps include NetworkExtension (VPN) functionality • Automatic app updates are enabled in MDM Question From a technical and platform-design perspective, is it possible to: Deploy app updates for ASM/MDM-distributed App Store apps via a separate/custom update server, and trigger updates simultaneously across all managed devices, bypassing or supplementing the App Store update mechanism? In other words: • Can an organization operate its own update server to push a new app version to all devices at once? • Or is App Store + iOS always the sole execution path for installing updated app binaries? ⸻ My current understanding (please correct if wrong) Based on Apple documentation, it seems that: 1. App Store–distributed apps cannot self-update • Apps cannot download and install new binaries or replace themselves. • All executable code must be Apple-signed and installed by the system. 2. MDM can manage distribution and enable auto-update, but: • MDM cannot reliably trigger an immediate update for App Store apps. • Actual download/install timing is decided by iOS (device locked, charging, Wi-Fi, etc.). 3. Custom update servers • May be used for policy decisions (minimum allowed version, feature blocking), • But cannot be used to distribute or install updated app binaries on iOS. 4. For ASM-managed devices: • The only supported update execution path is: App Store → iOS → Managed App Update • Any “forced update” behavior must be implemented at the app logic level, not the installation level. ⸻ What I’m trying to confirm • Is there any supported MDM command, API, or mechanism that allows: • Centralized, immediate, one-shot updates of App Store apps across all ASM-managed devices? • Or is the above limitation fundamental by design, meaning: • Organizations must rely on iOS’s periodic auto-update behavior • And enforce version compliance only via app-side logic? ⸻ Why this matters In large school deployments, delayed updates (due to device conditions or OS scheduling) can cause: • Version fragmentation • Inconsistent behavior across classrooms • Operational issues for VPN / security-related apps Understanding whether this limitation is absolute or if there is a recommended Apple-supported workaround would be extremely helpful. We are managing VPP license switching operations using Apple's VPP Manage Licenses API. License information is managed by matching the “clientUserIdStr” data with the VPP account ID information managed on the server side. We received an inquiry stating that a VPP license did not activate despite the activation process being performed. Upon checking the API results, the update API returned a success status during execution. However, the “clientUserIdStr” information was missing from the license information field in the response of the information retrieval API. We kindly request your guidance on the reason why the “clientUserIdStr” information is missing when retrieving license information, and the steps to ensure this information is reliably returned. I am trying to correctly manage about 20 Mac, iPhones and PC inside a Wi-Fi network built through System Settings > Sharing > Internet Sharing To achieve this task I defined a complete configuration file: /etc/bootpd.plist which is used by /usr/libexec/InternetSharing. But every time /usr/libexec/InternetSharing is starting the file /etc/bootpd.plist is overwritten by another file and my configuration is thus fully lost. How to set a correct /etc/bootps.plist file and avoid its total overwrite by /usr/libexec/InternetSharing? Is it necessary to write this bootpd.plist in some other directory for /usr/libexec/InternetSharing to load it without destroying it? I got the same configuration total erase on macOS Big Sur and Sequoia.

Apple provides a function to create TTS voice as a file in TTS. (AVSpeechUtterance/AVSpeechSynthesizer) Or, if the user records the video of TTS playback and uses that video I wonder what the scope of use is if I use this TTS voice to make YouTube, TikTok, or commercial videos. Is it impossible to use it commercially at all? Can I use it commercially with the source indicated? Can I use it commercially without a separate source indication? Is there a difference in commercial use license between Siri voices and regular TTS voices?

I have a question regarding MDM functionality for iOS/iPadOS. Background: According to Apple's support page(https://support.apple.com/en-us/125073), since iOS 26.1, "Previous Wi-Fi configurations will be replaced when a new profile is installed." We have observed that because of this change, when we apply a Wi-Fi configuration profile to an iPad via MDM, the manually configured network settings on the device (specifically, "Configure IPv4" and "Configure DNS") are reset to "Automatic". This erases the manually entered IP address, subnet mask, router, and DNS server addresses. Goal: We want to apply a Wi-Fi configuration profile from our MDM server to connect the device to a specific SSID, while preserving the manual IP and DNS settings that have been configured on the device. Question: Is there a way to prevent the IPv4 and DNS settings from being switched from "Manual" to "Automatic" when applying the configuration profile? For example, is there a specific key-value pair we can add to the profile to either preserve the existing manual settings, or to explicitly define manual/static IP settings within the profile itself for iOS/iPadOS? Is there a way to check if DDM(Declarative Device Management) is enabled on a device?

We are using an app created with the Apple Developer Enterprise Program within our company. Every year, we recreate and distribute the app in conjunction with the renewal of the provisioning profile. Currently, there are cases where an app that expired in September 2025 is still running, which is causing problems. What could be the cause of this? The app operates on a VPN, but Apple domains are accessible.
