.mobileconfig onDemand Wireguard VPN not auto-disconnecting as expected
Hi Apple Development forums, I am having trouble getting a Wireguard VPN config setup to automatically disconnect on all domain requests other than one specific domain. I have my .mobileconfig designed as so: <dict> <key>Action</key> <string>EvaluateConnection</string> <key>ActionParameters</key> <array> <dict> <key>Domains</key> <array> <string>service.domainname.com</string> </array> <key>DomainAction</key> <string>ConnectIfNeeded</string> <key>ProbeURL</key> <string>https://service.domainname.com/</string> </dict> </array> </dict> <dict> <key>Action</key> <string>Disconnect</string> <key>DNSDomainMatch</key> <array> <string>*.com</string> <string>*.org</string> <string>*.net</string> </array> </dict> <dict> <key>Action</key> <string>Disconnect</string> </dict> </array> The issue I'm having is regardless of whether I note a *.com or simply have the action Disconnect noted - the VPN stays connected after navigating to https://service.domainname.com. would anyone have any thoughts on this? Or am I missing something here?

Help Setting Up Apple MDM Vendor-Signed CSR and Push Certificate
Hello, I have an Apple Developer Enterprise account, and Apple Support has already enabled MDM for my account. I successfully downloaded and installed my MDM Vendor Certificate (it shows up in Keychain as MDM Vendor: [My Company Name] with its private key). Here’s what I’ve done so far: Exported the Vendor Certificate + private key as a .p12, then converted to .pem and .key using OpenSSL. Generated an unsigned CSR with CN=com.apple.mgmt.External. using OpenSSL. Attempted to sign the CSR using: my Vendor certificate the Vendor private key Apple Worldwide Developer Relations (WWDR) intermediate certificate OpenSSL smime -sign command with DER output Problem: Every time I try to upload the vendor-signed CSR to the Apple Push Certificates Portal, I get an error (CSR rejected). Sometimes OpenSSL even fails with “unable to load certificates” depending on how the WWDR certificate is included. My Questions: What is the correct OpenSSL command and certificate chain Apple expects for signing the CSR? Do I need to include any additional intermediates besides WWDR? Is there an official Apple reference example for generating the vendor-signed CSR that the Push Certificates Portal will accept? Any guidance from the community (or someone who has successfully done this end-to-end) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Sergio Sanchez

Wi-Fi Settings Lost During Native MDM Migration in iOS/macOS 26 Latest Beta
Hi Apple Community, At WWDC25, introduced a native device migration feature with iOS/macOS 26 and Apple Business Manager that promises seamless migration from one MDM to another without wiping devices or manual re-enrollment. That said, while testing this in iOS/macOS 26 beta, we ran into an issue: the Wi-Fi settings deployed by the old MDM aren’t retained during the migration. This means devices lose Wi-Fi connectivity partway through, and users have to manually reconnect before the migration to the new MDM can continue. This interrupts what should be a smooth, hands-off process. We wanted to ask if this is a known issue or limitation with the current beta? Are there any recommended ways to avoid losing Wi-Fi profiles during this migration window? Will this improve in future updates so that the Wi-Fi connection is preserved or seamlessly handed off to the new MDM? Any tips, workarounds, or official guidance Apple can share on best practices for handling Wi-Fi profiles during ABM-native device migrations would be hugely appreciated. Added Feedback with FeedBackAssistant ID : FB20150763 Thanks in advance.

Enterprise Program Renewal date keeps moving
Hi We've had an Enterprise Developer a/c for years. But last year they asked a bunch a questions to confirm we were a company. I answered them all and then it said it would review the answers. Were a big company and answered these questions before so just expected it to go through. Then our Enterprise Program a/c was up for renewal in April. But the money was never taken from the company cc and every expiry date the renewal date keeps moving forward a month. Its now been moved to Sep 2025. Either were getting April-Sep free or were going to be landed with a CC bill for 12+5 months soon. Anyone else seeing this. Is there an email or webpage for Enterprise a/c support? We have the money :)

iOS 26 beta: Enterprise-distributed apps fail to launch (NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=85) while Xcode-installed builds run
Environment Devices: e.g., iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 16 (multiple units) OS: iOS 26 beta 2 and beta 4 (23A5297m) Distribution: Apple Enterprise Program (In-House), deployed via MDM InstallApplication Tooling: Xcode (latest available for iOS 26 betas) Summary Apps signed for Enterprise (In-House) distribution install successfully on iOS 26 betas via MDM, but terminate immediately on launch. The same builds run if installed from Xcode on the same devices. This is a regression from pre-iOS 26 versions where Enterprise builds installed via MDM launched normally. Steps to Reproduce Archive an iOS app and export for Enterprise (In-House) distribution. Deploy the .ipa via MDM using InstallApplication to a device on iOS 26 beta (e.g., 23A5297m). Tap the app icon to launch. Actual Result The app quits instantly on launch. System logs show launchd/runningboard errors, including NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=85 (“Bad executable (or shared library)”): runningboardd(RunningBoard)[34]: Process start failed with Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=85 "Bad executable (or shared library)" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Launchd job spawn failed} runningboardd(RunningBoard)[34]: Launch failed with Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=85 "Bad executable (or shared library)" SpringBoard(FrontBoard)[35]: Bootstrapping failed ... NSUnderlyingError = { NSLocalizedDescription = Launchd job spawn failed; } Expected Result Enterprise-signed builds installed via MDM should launch as they did on iOS 25.x and earlier. Regression? Works on iOS versions prior to 26. Works on iOS 26 betas when installed from Xcode (developer-signed run). Fails only for Enterprise (In-House) builds delivered via MDM. Additional Notes / Possibly Related We also reproduced a similar failure mode with a minimal Safari Web Extension project: it installs and appears under Settings → Safari → Extensions, but enabling it and opening Safari produces: “ is no longer available.” Building a fresh project with a new bundle ID shows the same behavior on iOS 26 beta (23A5297m). Logs contain: Error occurred during transaction: The provided identifier "" is invalid. Running from Xcode (debug build) works. Workarounds None identified for Enterprise/MDM distribution. Only Xcode-installed builds run. Impact Blocks Enterprise deployment to our fleet on iOS 26 betas. Feedback / Attachments Included: sysdiagnose from an affected device, minimal Xcode project demonstrating the issue, Enterprise-exported app, and reproduction notes. Happy to share additional logs or perform targeted tests if needed. Request Can Apple confirm whether this is a known regression vs. a policy/validation change in iOS 26 for Enterprise/MDM installs? Any guidance on a short-term mitigation or build/signing change we can apply would be appreciated.

.mobileconfig with Managed App Configuration on enrolled devices for Public Unlisted App
Hello, We are working with an iOS app that is distributed as a Public Unlisted App Store app. Our MDM allows us to import the app by URL, but when added this way, the app is marked as unmanaged in the inventory. Because of that, we cannot assign a Managed App Configuration payload to it in the normal way. What we are trying to achieve: Deliver a configuration profile to all enrolled devices before the app is installed. When the user installs the app from the MDM catalog, the app should immediately see the configuration values. Questions we’re hoping to clarify: Is it technically feasible to pre-provision a Managed App Configuration for an app in this scenario, by pushing a .mobileconfig profile to all devices? If yes, what would be the correct payload format and content of such a .mobileconfig file? We’ve tested a profile format we found here that uses com.apple.managed-app-config PayloadType and a ManagedAppConfiguration key with the bundle ID nested inside, but iOS reports this as “payload not recognized.” From what we understand, that may not be part of Apple’s schema. Any guidance from Apple or the community on whether this use case is possible (and, if so, what the valid profile format should look like) would be very helpful. Note: For a complicated company policy, at the moment we are not able to participate in ABM. Thanks in advance!

Fetch Email Using CLI (Terminal)
Dear Team, We are working on retrieving email address of the user joined to Entra ID from Entra-joined macOS devices, specifically while running in a system context. The sudo dscl . -read /Users/$(whoami) RecordName command give the local user name whose password is synced with the entra ID. We would greatly appreciate guidance on how to retrieve the Entra ID joined user’s email address in a system context from Entra Joined mac devices, especially from those with prior experience in this area.
External."

Disable Fast User Switching in Control Center
We've disabled FUS through a config profile, but users can still access FUS by enabling the MenuBar/Control Center icons. My org would like to prevent access to FUS so I've created a config profile. How to get APP that has already been listed outside of mainland China listed in mainland China
Hello all, My question is, how to get APP (specialized in make SOPs for industrial users) that has already been listed outside of mainland China to be listed on apple store of mainland China? Can I simply refile it to cover China mainland with existing apple developer account or do I have to create a new local apple developer account to start the listing process? Your advise and help will be highly appreciated. Thank you, Link

DMM App Managed doesn't allow for reinstalls or respects version element
Hello, this may not be the correct place to ask this question so I apologize in advance if this is the case. I am currently running into two specifc issues while continuing to implement the app.managed configuration which are quite frustrating and I will detail them below Unlike MDM where an application could be "reinstalled", by sending an install application command down for the same app DM does not have a similar mechanism which causes some issues as (while inconsistent) devices do not always respect the configuration sent down, and will not begin downloading VPP applications. They can be seen in the configuration when checking under VPN & Device Management but they do not return on a status report, alternatively and app will "install" but will have a cloud symbol next to it requiring a download (which I believe would be impossible on supervised devices without apple accounts/have restricted apple accounts associated to them). These apps are also reported incorrectly, as they return a managed response while being inaccessible. Both of these issues are solved by removing and reinstall applications (occasionally). Is there any easier way to trigger a re-install or is this the only way to trigger this? The Version element that can be optionally sent down does not seem to work (or if it does, does so inconsistently). A device will very happily download the application initially with the version element present, though when we detect an updated external ID from the VPP program and send down an updated configuration devices behave unexpectedly. Some have ignored it, some have responded back that a download has begun (with no download taking place and the application clearly still being the initial installed version as can be see in the apps page) or it just works, but there is not consistency. I realize a new UpdateBehavior object has been added to possibly handle this, but it is only supported in iOS 26 and above and there are plenty of people who do not have phones that can upgrade that far. Are there alternative ways to enforce an application update other than uninstalling and reinstalling the application without the version (or will sending down a config without a version after one was originally pinned force it to update to latest?) Kind Regards

ABM Sync Fails with “Terms and Conditions Not Signed” Error Despite Acceptance
We are experiencing an issue with Apple Business Manager (ABM) synchronization that is blocking our device management workflow. Issue Description: During the ABM sync process in our MDM, we receive the error: "ABM Terms and Conditions not signed." What We’ve Checked: Logged into the ABM portal as the Administrator and confirmed that the latest Terms and Conditions. Attempted to renew the ABM token on our existing server, but the same error message continues to appear in MDM. Tried creating a brand new ABM server integration, which also fails with the same error. We checked with our MDM provider and they shared the logs, response received from ABM. It says T_C_NOT_SIGNED. But we have already accepted all the new Terms in ABM. We would appreciate any help in resolving this issue or guidance on what steps to take next.

Device enrollment to ABM failing with timeout during setup
Hello, I’m facing an issue while trying to add iOS devices to Apple Business Manager (ABM) using Apple Configurator during enrollment. When going through the setup process, the device fails to complete enrollment and times out. I’ve tried it multiple times. The device does appear in ABM during the process and I am able to assign it to different MDM servers but since the setup times out and fails, the device is automatically released. I have tried this with multiple iOS devices and it times out on every single one of them. Steps attempted: Factory reset and re-enrollment of the device Ensured network connectivity is stable and tested on multiple Wi-Fi networks Tried the following process using Apple Configurator on Mac (wired): Created a Wi-Fi profile in Configurator Connected the iPhone via cable and used Prepare (manual configuration) Used the “MDM server” placeholder and trusted anchors (as recommended) Linked the device to the ABM organization Skipped Setup Assistant steps Attached the Wi-Fi profile, then prepared and wiped the device Verified that the device should appear in ABM Attempted to assign the device to my MDM in ABM Despite these checks, the enrollment process times out. I’m attaching a screenshot of the error for reference. Could someone advise what might be causing this timeout or how I can further troubleshoot this? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

MDM Profile Installation Issue on iPhone 17 - Suspected Parameter Transmission Error
Issue Description: We are experiencing MDM profile installation failures specifically on iPhone 17 devices. After extensive testing and comparison between affected and working devices, we suspect this appears to be a parameter transmission error rather than device settings. Technical Analysis: Device Settings Comparison: No differences found between problematic and working devices in system settings, indicating this is not a configuration issue. Suspected Parameter Transmission Error: • Device model information appears to be restricted or blocked during profile download • User ID and phone number parameters are not being transmitted to the server • Installation logs show missing login ID and phone number entries Symptoms: • During MDM profile installation, the "Apps & Restrictions" section that should appear is missing • Profile download parameters are suspected to not be properly transmitted to the server • Installation process fails at the profile configuration stage Critical Finding: When we cloned a previously working device to create a problematic device configuration, the cloned device also began experiencing the same installation failures. This strongly suggests the issue is related to device-specific parameters or identifiers. Additional Information: We continue to receive reports of this issue from our iPhone 17 users, and these reports are occurring across various iOS versions. Request for Assistance: Has anyone encountered similar MDM profile installation issues on iPhone 17? Are there known limitations or changes in how device parameters are transmitted during MDM enrollment on this model? Any guidance on debugging parameter transmission or known workarounds would be greatly appreciated.

macOS login issue with federation
We have couple of devices that are registered into Platform SSO, and we have been noticing an issue when the user tried to login. After the users enters the password and hit the return key nothing happens, they need to hit the return key probably 10-15 times in order for the login to happen, the password entered is the correct one and it's just that hitting the return key doesn't invoke the login. On checking the log of the device one unusual thing that we noticed as compared to a different device where the login is working in a single go is that the AppSSOAgent or AppSSODaemon process were not getting invoked

Inquiry: Inconsistent VPP UpdateBehavior with DDM (auto-update timing + manual-update gating)
Hi there, We’re testing Declarative Device Management (DDM) for VPP app management and followed the latest declaration template here: https://github.com/apple/device-management/blob/release/declarative/declarations/configurations/app.managed.yaml Our goal is to enable VPP auto-updates via the declaration. The payload we’re using looks like this: "AppStoreID": "1231325957", "InstallBehavior": "{\"Install\": \"Required\", \"License\": {\"Assignment\": \"Device\"}}", "UpdateBehavior": "{\"AutomaticAppUpdates\": \"AlwaysOn\"}" } What we’re seeing Device A (no Apple ID signed into App Store): User can manually update the VPP app with the above declaration in place. ( The same user cannot update the app if UpdateBehavior is not in the declaration payload. Device B (Apple ID signed into App Store, and the same Apple ID doesn't have the above app purchased): User cannot manually update the same VPP app. The App Store shows the error seen when UpdateBehavior is absent: “ cannot be updated because it was refunded or purchased with a different Apple Account.” Also, in this case, the user has no way to purchase the (free) app by their own as the app shows as owned/managed by MDM server. We have to remove the declaration, let the user purchase the same app, then re-deploy the declaration to allow the user to click that "Update" button when a new version for that app is available. Additionally, we’re unsure about the criteria/timing for automatic VPP app updates under DDM. After a new version became available, we waited several hours but the app did not auto-update. Repro summary App: VPP, device-assigned license Declaration: AutomaticAppUpdates = AlwaysOn, install required Device A: not signed into App Store → manual update allowed Device B: signed into App Store → manual update blocked with “refunded/different account” error Auto-update did not occur after waiting several hours post-release Any guidance, confirmation of expected behavior, or tips on additional logging we should collect (e.g., specific App Store / MDM / DDM logs and subsystems) would be greatly appreciated. If this is a known issue or requires a Feedback Assistant report, we’re happy to file one. Thanks,

Platform SSO registration fails on Mobile AD accounts
We are facing an issue with Platform SSO registration on macOS devices for AD-bound user accounts with Microsoft EntraID configuration. We are using the Platform SSO payload on macOS devices integrated with Entra ID, and it works as expected — registration completes successfully, and the password syncs with the Entra ID password. However, when we try the same on macOS devices with AD-bound (mobile) user accounts, the registration does not complete. To elaborate, the process successfully completes the initial WebView authentication but fails at the stage where Apple prompts for the password to sync the local macOS user’s password with the Entra ID password. It does not display any error, and even after entering a valid password, the process does not proceed further. However, when we try the same on a non-AD user account, it works fine. We have checked with Microsoft, and they confirmed that there are no restrictions on their side for AD-bound accounts. Since the issue appears to occur at the Apple system level, they advised us to reach Apple teams on this. Could you please check and let us know how we can proceed with this? Payload used: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>PayloadContent</key> <array> <dict> <key>AuthenticationMethod</key> <string>Password</string> <key>ExtensionIdentifier</key> <string>com.microsoft.CompanyPortalMac.ssoextension</string> <key>PayloadDisplayName</key> <string>Extensible Single Sign-On Payload</string> <key>PayloadIdentifier</key> <string>com.apple.extensiblesso.B408A658-3DAF-41FF-8A5D-AE77B380CB7B</string> <key>PayloadType</key> <string>com.apple.extensiblesso</string> <key>PayloadUUID</key> <string>D506CAFD-C802-41F2-9C3E-DF5289C315FF</string> <key>PayloadVersion</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>PlatformSSO</key> <dict> <key>AccountDisplayName</key> <string>EntraID</string> <key>AuthenticationMethod</key> <string>Password</string> <key>EnableCreateUserAtLogin</key> <true/> <key>LoginFrequency</key> <integer>3700</integer> <key>LoginPolicy</key> <array> <string>AttemptAuthentication</string> </array> <key>NewUserAuthorizationMode</key> <string>Admin</string> <key>UseSharedDeviceKeys</key> <true/> <key>UserAuthorizationMode</key> <string>Admin</string> </dict> <key>ScreenLockedBehavior</key> <string>DoNotHandle</string> <key>TeamIdentifier</key> <string>UBF8T346G9</string> <key>Type</key> <string>Redirect</string> <key>URLs</key> <array> <string>https://login.microsoftonline.com</string> <string>https://sts.windows.net</string> <string>https://login.partner.microsoftonline.cn</string> <string>https://login.chinacloudapi.cn</string> <string>https://login.microsoftonline.us</string> <string>https://login.microsoft.com</string> <string>https://login-us.microsoftonline.com</string> </array> </dict> </array> <key>PayloadDisplayName</key> <string>Platform SSO</string> <key>PayloadIdentifier</key> <string>42GBHOLAP04621.1BD5B6D9-640B-4DC3-9275-56DDD191A5FB</string> <key>PayloadType</key> <string>Configuration</string> <key>PayloadUUID</key> <string>58548FC6-38D9-4B28-9EDF-BEEAB03BAB23</string> <key>PayloadVersion</key> <integer>1</integer> </dict> </plist>

.mobileconfig onDemand Wireguard VPN not auto-disconnecting as expected

Thank you for your support.

External."

Disable Fast User Switching in Control Center
We've disabled FUS through a config profile, but users can still access FUS by enabling the MenuBar/Control Center icons. My org would like to prevent access to FUS so I've created a config profile. But the profile doesn't seem to work.

Thanks,

allowCamera on iOS26.1 works wrong
Before iOS26.1, allowCamera set false, all app can't use camera. On iOS26.1, allowCamera set false, removes camera icon from the Home Screen, but third app can still use camera, such as Safari and other apps that can call camera. Is it a bug or a new features?

Platform SSO registration fails on Mobile AD accounts
We are facing an issue with Platform SSO registration on macOS devices for AD-bound user accounts with Microsoft EntraID configuration. We are using the Platform SSO payload on macOS devices integrated with Entra ID, and it works as expected — registration completes successfully, and the password syncs with the Entra ID password. However, when we try the same on macOS devices with AD-bound (mobile) user accounts, the registration does not complete. To elaborate, the process successfully completes the initial WebView authentication but fails at the stage where Apple prompts for the password to sync the local macOS user’s password with the Entra ID password. It does not display any error, and even after entering a valid password, the process does not proceed further. However, when we try the same on a non-AD user account, it works fine. We have checked with Microsoft, and they confirmed that there are no restrictions on their side for AD-bound accounts. Since the issue appears to occur at the Apple system level, they advised us to reach Apple teams on this. Could you please check and let us know how we can proceed with this? Payload used: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>PayloadContent</key> <array> <dict> <key>AuthenticationMethod</key> <string>Password</string> <key>ExtensionIdentifier</key> <string>com.microsoft.CompanyPortalMac.ssoextension</string> <key>PayloadDisplayName</key> <string>Extensible Single Sign-On Payload</string> <key>PayloadIdentifier</key> <string>com.apple.extensiblesso.B408A658-3DAF-41FF-8A5D-AE77B380CB7B</string> <key>PayloadType</key> <string>com.apple.extensiblesso</string> <key>PayloadUUID</key> <string>D506CAFD-C802-41F2-9C3E-DF5289C315FF</string> <key>PayloadVersion</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>PlatformSSO</key> <dict> <key>AccountDisplayName</key> <string>EntraID</string> <key>AuthenticationMethod</key> <string>Password</string> <key>EnableCreateUserAtLogin</key> <true/> <key>LoginFrequency</key> <integer>3700</integer> <key>LoginPolicy</key> <array> <string>AttemptAuthentication</string> </array> <key>NewUserAuthorizationMode</key> <string>Admin</string> <key>UseSharedDeviceKeys</key> <true/> <key>UserAuthorizationMode</key> <string>Admin</string> </dict> <key>ScreenLockedBehavior</key> <string>DoNotHandle</string> <key>TeamIdentifier</key> <string>UBF8T346G9</string> <key>Type</key> <string>Redirect</string> <key>URLs</key> <array> <string>https://login.microsoftonline.com</string> <string>https://sts.windows.net</string> <string>https://login.partner.microsoftonline.cn</string> <string>https://login.chinacloudapi.cn</string> <string>https://login.microsoftonline.us</string> <string>https://login.microsoft.com</string> <string>https://login-us.microsoftonline.com</string> </array> </dict> </array> <key>PayloadDisplayName</key> <string>Platform SSO</string> <key>PayloadIdentifier</key> <string>42GBHOLAP04621.1BD5B6D9-640B-4DC3-9275-56DDD191A5FB</string> <key>PayloadType</key> <string>Configuration</string> <key>PayloadUUID</key> <string>58548FC6-38D9-4B28-9EDF-BEEAB03BAB23</string> <key>PayloadVersion</key> <integer>1</integer> </dict> </plist>
