My Notifications Message Extension doesn't seem to run after distributing my app via Enterprise IPA
I'm developing an app that receives push notifications, and writes the contents of the push notification to a shared location between the main app and a Notifications Message Extension, through App Groups. This all seems to work on my phone, with developer mode turned on, but when I archive my app as an Enterprise IPA and distribute it, the users can install the app on their phones and they receive the push notifications, but it doesn't appear that the message extension is running as my app displays the content of the shared data in the App Groups on the main screen and nothing is showing. I have tried on 3 phones, and it only works on the phone with developer mode turned on. I can't tell at this point whether it's because of a signing issue, or build phase order issue, or something else?

No certificate for team '' matching 'Developer ID Application' found
When completing signing on Xcode, it shows the following error message "No certificate for team '' matching 'Developer ID Application' found" I have already followed the steps to generate a certificate from keychain and made a new certificate on developer portal, along with its associated provisioning profile. Viewing "Manage Certificate" window shows the newly created certificate, but Xcode seems to not be able to locate it.

Provisioning profile missing entitlement: com.apple.developer.icloud
Hi, I do have a strange behavior in my development environment on a Mac mini (M4) running 26.2 and Xcode 26.3. Everything was working as expected. My project had a stable state and I wanted to enable iCloud support. As result I could not run the app any more because code signing failed with the message that my profile does not include the above entitlement. On my notebook (M2) with XCode 26.3 everything is working. Im am using GIT and both computers have identical code. The code compiling and running on my notebook will not run any more on my Max mini. Any help to find what might have broken the code signing and how it could be fixed? Thanks in advance.

Does signed macho binary with teamID is signed by Apple root certificate
In my application I validate the authenticity of my own binaries by checking that the Team Identifier in the code signature matches a predefined value. Currently I do not perform a full signature validation that verifies the certificate chain up to Apple’s root CA. When attempting to do this using SecStaticCodeCheckValidityWithErrors (or validateWithRequirement), the operation sometimes takes several minutes. During that time the calling thread appears blocked, and the system logs show: trustd: [com.apple.securityd:SecError] Malformed anchor records, not an array Because of this delay, I decided to rely only on the Team Identifier. My question is: Can it be assumed that if a Mach-O binary contains a Team Identifier in its code signature, then it must have been signed with a valid Apple Developer certificate? Or are there cases where a binary could contain a Team ID but still not be signed by Apple’s trust chain? Thanks for the help !

Family Controls (Distribution) approved via email but portal still shows "Submitted" - blocking App Store submission
Hi, I submitted a Family Controls (Distribution) entitlement request for my app Faith Lock (com.faithlock.ios) - a prayer-focused iOS app that uses the Screen Time API to help users block distracting apps. I received an approval email, but the portal still shows the request as "Submitted" and the Distribution option does not appear under Additional Capabilities for my identifier. This is blocking me from submitting to App Store Connect. Details: Bundle ID: com.faithlock.ios Team ID: F86P575UNP Request IDs: 3PWTDR8KL3 / 885ZK276KK Status in portal: Submitted (unchanged since approval email) Has anyone experienced this? Is there a way to get the portal manually updated to reflect the approval? Any help or escalation from a DTS engineer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Certificates valid if account is changed?
My company only needed an Apple Developer Program account in order to sign macOS binaries. Because our scope was very limited, we enrolled with an individual account. Now our scope may grow, supporting more Apple features. As a result, we may need to change to an Organization account. If we change the account type, will this invalidate the certificate we use to sign the macOS binaries?

Family Controls Entitlement Blocking App Store Release
I submitted a Family Controls Distribution entitlement request on 4/22 for my app Prof Blob. I received the confirmation page after submitting, but I have not received any approval, rejection, or status update. We are currently blocked from moving forward with our production release submission due to this entitlement. Details: Request ID: Y2L55S3W34 Team ID: 5AXHQ5ZF3G App: Prof Blob Bundle ID: com.spammusubi.blob-screen-time Related extension bundle IDs: com.spammusubi.blob-screen-time.BlobActivityReportExtension com.spammusubi.blob-screen-time.DeviceActivityMonitorExtension com.spammusubi.blob-screen-time.ShieldActionExtension com.spammusubi.blob-screen-time.ShieldConfigurationExtension Purpose: Individual device management for focus and productivity. Prof Blob is a digital wellbeing / screen time management app that uses Apple’s Screen Time APIs to let users select distracting apps and require a short math-based cognitive gate before opening them. The app uses FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings. Development builds are working, but the Family Controls Distribution entitlement is required for production builds, TestFlight validation, and App Store submission. Is there a way to expedite this request or confirm that it is still in review? I would be happy to provide any additional information needed to move the request forward.

macOS ARM64 App Killed with SIGKILL - Gatekeeper Error -67062
Problem My ARM64 macOS application is being immediately killed with SIGKILL when launched. No crash report is generated, and the process terminates instantly. Environment macOS Version: 15.x (Sequoia) Architecture: ARM64 (Apple Silicon) Certificate: Mac Developer certificate (development signing) App Type: Native ARM64 application with embedded Java runtime Symptoms ./MacOS/myapp Immediately returns: zsh: killed ./MacOS/myapp Investigation Results System Logs Show Security Policy Rejection kernel: (AppleSystemPolicy) ASP: Security policy would not allow process: 92850, /path/to/myapp syspolicyd: (Security) MacOS error: -67062 Error Code Analysis Error -67062 = errSecCSReqFailed (Code signature requirement failed) This is a Gatekeeper enforcement issue, not a code signing problem 3. Code Signature is Valid codesign -dvvv myapp Shows valid signature with Mac Developer certificate Authority=Mac Developer: Name (TEAMID) Authority=Apple Worldwide Developer Relations Certification Authority Authority=Apple Root CA What We Tried (That Didn't Help) ✅ Removed hardened runtime flag from Java components ✅ Added JIT entitlements (com.apple.security.cs.allow-jit) ✅ Verified Mach-O structure is correct ✅ Confirmed all libraries are ARM64 ✅ Re-signed with proper entitlements None of these fixed the issue because the problem is Gatekeeper policy enforcement. Question How can I allow this development-signed ARM64 app to run on macOS 15 without full notarization? I've tried: Removing quarantine attributes Various code signing approaches Different entitlements But Gatekeeper still blocks it with error -67062. Is there a way to add a security exception for development builds, or do I need to use a Developer ID certificate even for internal testing? Additional Context This is for internal development/testing. The app works fine when properly notarized, but we need a way to test development builds without going through the full notarization process each time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Family Controls entitlement: no response for over 1 month
Hi, I submitted my Family Controls entitlement requests on April 15 for my iOS app, but I still haven’t received an approval, rejection, or any status update. This is blocking my ability to properly test and move forward with the app, since it depends on the Screen Time / Family Controls APIs. I've tried contact to apple developer support and filed a code-level support on app connect dashboard. and still nothing received. Here is the request information: code-level support case id: 19834379 apple developer support case id: 102878196850 Family Controls Distribution RequestId: BT4C47F5VB,SLP56WRZ3J,BZ7MF3R4FF,5HAY5UF5X2,P49SM5C859,KG2T2X2L76,N353H759C4 Thanks.

Family Controls Distribution entitlement — requests submitted 2+ weeks ago, all still "Submitted"
I've been waiting on the Family Controls distribution entitlement for my app for over two weeks with use case to self direct app and sites blocking Setup: Development entitlement: ✅ approved and working Request ID: 27684X55GC The blocker: Xcode warns: "Bundle identifier is using development only version of Family Controls (Development) capability. Please request access to Family Controls (Distribution)." Archiving for App Store fails with provisioning profile errors on all my targets Questions: Is 2+ weeks normal for distribution entitlement approval? Any recommended path to escalate besides the request form and have also emailed apple support?

Moving signing to a new machine
We have a Mac that is used to sign and notarize our installers. This Mac will be going away soon, so I have to setup a new Mac to do that work. I've been able to install all the tools, but I can't get them to work. The certificates are in the keychain, but don't show up in the "My Certificates", probably because the related keys don't exist in the "Keys" list. I'm using the same Apple Dev ID that I used on the other machine. HOW do I get things setup on the new machine to work? There must be some way to get key/certificate pairs to work. (I am very definitely NOT a Mac expert, barely even a novice.)

"How to" for dext distribution
I have a DriverKit system extension (dext) that uses PCIDriverKit. I would like to get the build environment straightened out to successfully distribute the dext and associated software to end users. There are three types of software involved: The Dext-hosting application - this is the application that must be installed to /Applications/, and will perform the registration of the dext. The dext is deployed "within" this application, and can be found in the /Contents/Library/SystemExtensions folder of the app bundle. The dext itself - this is the actual binary system extension, which will be registered by its owning application, and will operate in its own application space independent of the hosting application. Additional applications that communicate with the dext - these are applications which will connect to the dext through user clients, but these applications do not contain the dext themselves. There are multiple locations where settings need to be exactly correct for each type of software to be signed, provisioned, and notarized properly in order to be distributed to users: developer.apple.com - where "identifiers" and "provisioning profiles" are managed. Note that there are differences in access between "Team Agent", "Admin", and "Developer" at this site. Xcode project's Target "Signing & Capabilities" tab - this is where "automatically manage signing" can be selected, as well as team selection, provisioning profile selection, and capabilities can be modified. Xcode project's Target "Build Settings" tab - this is where code signing identity, code signing development team, code signing entitlements file selection, Info.plist options and file selection, and provisioning profile selection. Xcode's Organizer window, which is where you manage archives and select for distribution. In this case, I am interested in "Developer ID" Direct Distribution - I want the software signed with our company's credentials (Team Developer ID) so that users know they can trust the software. Choosing "automatically manage signing" does not work for deployment. The debug versions of software include DriverKit (development) capability (under App ID configuration at developer.apple.com), and this apparently must not be present in distributable provisioning. I believe this means that different provisioning needs to occur between debug and release builds? I have tried many iterations of selections at all the locations, for all three types of binaries, and rather than post everything that does not work, I am asking, "what is supposed to work?"

Xcode:Automatic signing failed
In xcode, the signing&capabilities TAB for ios says: Automatic signing failed Xcode failed to provision this target. Please file a bug report at https://feedbackassistant.apple.com and include the Update Signing report from the Report navigator. Provisioning profile "iOS Team Provisioning Profile: com.kikk.morsecode" doesn't include the com.apple.developer.in-app-purchase entitlement. Even though I've already configured the corresponding Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles in developer Does anyone have the same problem? My Version of xcode is Version 15.4 (15F31d), running on m2pro.

Migrating Identifier from non-team prefix within single account
Hello, In our Account we have an iOS app with an explicit identifier "ABC123.com.some.app" that is using non-team prefix which is DEF456. It has also explicit identifiers for Widgets bundle and Notification Service. Due to non-team prefix, it can't access e.g. shared keychain and data put there by our other apps. Since we are working on features that require these capabilities, we would like to update the app identifier, so it is prefixed with our team id DEF456. Initially, we thought that the process would require steps like: Create new app, team-prefixed identifier(s) for app and all things that need them Recreate the provisioning profiles with new App Identifier Roll out the app using with new profiles via App Store but when trying to create the new identifier with com.some.app and team id prefix DEF456 we are getting following error: An App ID with Identifier com.some.app is not available. Please enter a different string. Can anybody advise us how to correctly perform such change and what steps are required from our end? We would like to keep our existing App Store entry, ratings and smoothly switch users. We are aware that this kind of migration results in loss of Keychain access. Thanks for any advice on that!

I can't distribute the build to Testflight
Hi the best community! When I try to submit the app to Testflight I receive the following error: "codesign command failed (/var/folders/j9/yh_rkh114rbgvmglf4gycj8w0000gn/T/XcodeDistPipeline.~~~OW0Dwk/Root/Payload/Application.app/Frameworks/Alamofire.framework: replacing existing signature /var/folders/j9/yh_rkh114rbgvmglf4gycj8w0000gn/T/XcodeDistPipeline.~~~OW0Dwk/Root/Payload/Application.app/Frameworks/Alamofire.framework: invalid or corrupted code requirement(s) Requirement syntax error(s): line 1:155: unexpected token: NPH )" I have never stuck with this issue before. Xcode Version 16.0 I assume that there is something related to code signing and our company name in App Store connect: Medical Institution “NPH” (The company name has been anonymized for privacy purposes.) Appreciate any help. Thank you!

codesign command failed - Requirement syntax error - unexpected token
I am trying to distribute my Unity app to test flight. Build works on iPhone locally, archiving also works but when I start distribution to test flight I get this Error codesign command failed (/var/folders/gn/ql1bht8j2z7b18b3xtt0j7rr0000gn/T/XcodeDistPipeline.~~~2gmyFJ/Root/Payload/TondoJigsaw2.app/Frameworks/UnityFramework.framework: replacing existing signature /var/folders/gn/ql1bht8j2z7b18b3xtt0j7rr0000gn/T/XcodeDistPipeline.~~~2gmyFJ/Root/Payload/TondoJigsaw2.app/Frameworks/UnityFramework.framework: invalid or corrupted code requirement(s) Requirement syntax error(s): line 1:152: unexpected token: sQuaricon ) I am not sure what is the problem Team name is: “sQuaricon” Name Surname s.p. Bundle ID is: com.Squaricon.TondoJigsaw2 When I change bundle ID to com.testasd.TondoJigsaw2 (I do this in Xcode before archiving) that error disappears and I reach the part where I have to pick language. Even though this is not the solution, I think it is interesting, it implies issue might be with Bundle ID but this bundle ID is correct. I am using "automatically manage signing", I did not create any provisioning profile or certificate manually.

How to distribute DEXT during development and to the public
To learn how to develop/distribute a DriverKit driver (DEXT) and a UserClient app correctly, I am trying to run the following sample dext and app. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/driverkit/communicating-between-a-driverkit-extension-and-a-client-app?language=objc I walked throught steps in README.md included in the project and faced issues. First, I referred the "Configure the Sample Code Project" section in the README.md and configured the sample code project to build with automatic signing. I could run the app and activate the dext successfully and made sure the app could communicate with the dext. Next, I tried the manual signing. I followed steps described in the "Configure the Sample Code Project" section carefully. The following entitlements has already been assigned to my team account. DriverKit Allow Any UserClient Access DriverKit USB Transport - VendorID DriverKit I could build both app and dext and could run the app. However, when I clicked the "Install Dext" button to activate the dext, I got the following error: sysex didFailWithError: extension category returned error Am I missing something? I would also like to know detailed steps to publicly distribute my dext and app using our Developer ID Application Certificate, as README.md only shows how to configure the project for development. Xcode version: 16.3 (16E140) Development OS: macOS 15.5 (24F74) Target OS: macOS 15.5 (24F74)
