How to use the WebAssembly (wasm) binary module in macos App
During the release of our macOS App, we encountered the following issue: We need to support dynamic code loading of WebAssembly (wasm) inside our App, mainly by loading WebAssembly (wasm) binary modules. We discovered a problem: a wasm file is neither an executable nor a bundle, so it cannot be code-signed. Since our App needs to pass notarization, we have not set the com.apple.security.cs.allow-unsigned-executable-memory entitlement. Without setting com.apple.security.cs.allow-unsigned-executable-memory, loading a wasm module results in an “unsigned code” error that causes the process to crash. Could you please advise on what we should do to avoid this problem? Is it possible to apply for a special entitlement to allow com.apple.security.cs.allow-unsigned-executable-memory?

Notarization submissions stuck "In Progress" — native macOS app with Sparkle.framework (12+ attempts)
I'm submitting a native macOS app (Swift/SwiftUI, arm64) that includes Sparkle.framework for auto-updates. All binaries are signed with a Developer ID Application certificate using --options runtime and --timestamp. I've submitted 12+ times over the past two days, both from local notarytool submit and from GitHub Actions CI. Every submission uploads successfully and returns a valid submission ID, but then stays at "In Progress" indefinitely — none have resolved to Accepted or Invalid. Two early submissions did eventually come back "Invalid" — Apple's rejection log showed the Sparkle nested binaries had ad-hoc signatures (they were being signed as individual Mach-O files instead of bundle directories). I fixed this with proper inside-out bundle signing. Since the fix, local codesign --verify --deep --strict passes cleanly, but all ~10 subsequent submissions remain stuck at "In Progress". 9UT54V24XG Would appreciate any guidance, or if someone from the notary team could check our queue. Happy to provide specific submission IDs.

Team ID and App ID prefix mismatch for macOS
I have an app for iOS already on the AppStore and I'm trying to add a macOS version of it. The AppID prefix for this app is different than my Team ID. This mismatch was always fine for submitting my iOS app. However for some reason, the macOS version gets rejected when I upload it. It tells me the AppID prefix must match my Team ID. I do not control my TeamID and I do not control my AppID prefix, they are both given to me by Apple. Yet the error message tells me they must match. How do I get past this? Here is the error message: Validation failed Invalid code signing entitlements. Your application bundle's signature contains code signing entitlements that aren't supported on macOS. Specifically, the "APPID_PREFIX.MY_BUNDLE_ID" value for the com.apple.application-identifier key in "MY_PACKAGE" isn't supported. This value should be a string that starts with your Team ID, followed by a dot ('"), followed by the bundle ID. (ID: 930b77ae-099f-4798-a14a-2803f2a9be9e) Thanks in advance for any pointer.

app crashes
the iOS app store package's entitlements file has an issue. After updating to a new version to fix the entitlements file, the app still crashes upon opening but can function normally after a restart. What methods can the app side use to resolve this entitlements file issue without requiring a restart to open and use the app properly?

Family Controls + Device Activity Entitlement Missing from Provisioning Profiles (Xcode, iOS App Extensions)
Hello everyone, I’ve been stuck for weeks on an issue with Family Controls + Device Activity entitlements in my iOS app, and Apple Developer Support has not provided a solution so far. I’m hoping someone here who has successfully implemented Family Controls + Device Activity can point me in the right direction. About the App • The app is a Digital Wellbeing app called Breakloop. • It lets users select apps they want to block, requires them to complete a positive affirmation before opening those apps, and can re-block apps after a set time (e.g., 10 minutes). • This functionality exactly matches the purpose of Family Controls and Device Activity APIs. What Works So Far • Family Controls capability is enabled in the main app target in Xcode. • We have valid Apple Developer certificates (Apple Development) and a team account. • The main app builds and runs fine when using Family Controls alone. • We have App IDs for: • bl.Breakloop (main app) • bl.Breakloop.BreakloopMonitorExtension • bl.Breakloop.BreakloopShieldConfigurationExtension The Problem The provisioning profiles for the extension targets (BreakloopMonitorExtension and BreakloopShieldConfigurationExtension) do not include the com.apple.developer.device-activity entitlement even though: • The App IDs in the Developer Portal have Family Controls (Development) enabled. • The extensions have the correct entitlements file with both: com.apple.developer.family-controls com.apple.developer.device-activity • Xcode Signing & Capabilities points to the correct provisioning profile + certificate. Because the provisioning profiles don’t include the entitlement, the build fails with: Provisioning profile doesn't include the com.apple.developer.device-activity entitlement. What Apple Support Said Apple Support told me: • “Family Controls grants access to Device Activity.” • They cannot enable it manually or guarantee that profiles will include the entitlement. • They sent links to the documentation but no further assistance. What I Need Help With 1. Has anyone successfully built extensions using Family Controls + Device Activity? 2. Do I need to request any additional approval for Device Activity, or should it appear automatically once Family Controls is enabled? 3. Is there a known Xcode or Apple Developer Portal configuration issue that causes the entitlement to be missing in provisioning profiles? 4. Any working example of a project setup that uses Family Controls + Device Activity in extensions would be extremely helpful. Extra Info • We use the latest Xcode + iOS SDK. • Tried recreating certificates, profiles, and App IDs multiple times. • Followed Apple’s docs for Family Controls + Device Activity exactly. I would greatly appreciate any guidance, especially from someone who has this working with iOS app extensions. Thank you!

Unable to Staple Notarization Ticket – SSL Certificate Mismatch for oscdn.apple.com
Hello Apple Support, While attempting to staple a notarization ticket for our signed installer package, the stapler command fails with Error 65. Upon investigation, we found that connections to oscdn.apple.com present an SSL certificate issued to a248.e.akamai.net, which does not include oscdn.apple.com in its Subject Alternative Name (SAN). This mismatch prevents our macOS environment from validating tickets and completing the stapling process. Steps tried: Verified notarization status (Accepted). DNS flushed, tried different DNS (8.8.8.8, 1.1.1.1). curl to oscdn.apple.com consistently fails with SSL error 60. Please advise on resolving this certificate mismatch. also when I try to run the stapler command with my pkg "xcrun stapler staple/Users/mactest/Desktop/IPMPlus_Macos_Installer.signed.pkg" getting the output like :- Processing: /Users/mactest/Desktop/IPMPlus_Macos_Installer.signed.pkg Could not validate ticket for /Users/mac-test/Desktop/IPMPlus_Macos_Installer.signed.pkg The staple and validate action failed! Error 65. please help Thank you.

Failed Registering Bundle Identifier of watch app
Hi, after 2 years of not updating my app on appstore i wanted to submit an update for my iOS app which also containts a watch app target. When i try to submit it to upload it i get the following errors: Failed registering bundle identifier The app identifier "(myappBundleID).watchkitapp" cannot be registered to your development team because it is nit available. Change your bundle identifier to a unique string to try again. No Profiles for "(myappBundleID).watchkitapp" were found. Xcode culdn't find any iOS App Store provisining profiles matching "(myappBundleID).watchkitapp" Since i have my app already in store with that bundle identifier i don't know why it can not be registered to my team. Also i don't want to change the bundle identifier because then i can not publish it as update to store.

I’m unable to notarize the executable and the .app — the status has been showing “In Progress” for over an hour. Upon checking the xcrun logs, it indicates that the submission ID was not received. I also noticed there’s an Apple Developer Service outage reported since October 8, 2025. Could you please let me know when this outage is expected to be resolved? It would be very helpful.

Support for Non-Team ID prefixes on the Mac App Store
My iOS version of the app is available on the App Store with a non-team ID prefix for its bundle ID. It has been available there for a long time and I am not sure why I chose a custom prefix for it. The Mac version of the same app is available on the Mac App Store with a different bundle ID and with a prefix that matches my team ID. I am currently looking to "merge" both apps into a single bundle ID. The plan is to stop using the current Mac app and release a new one as a universal app under the existing bundle ID for the iOS app. Unfortunately, it looks like that the Mac App Store does not actually allow any submissions that have a non-team ID for a prefix. I know that it is a very specific case but any suggestions would be welcomed.

Family Controls entitlement not applied to new Shield extension

We recently added a new Shield Configuration extension to show a custom on-device shield UI using ManagedSettingsUI. It is only used for UI rendering and does not collect or send any user data. com.apple.developer.automatic-assessment-configuration entitlement missing from manually downloaded Distribution/InHouse Provisioning Profile
We are implementing an exam mode feature for an educational app used in schools, which restricts device usage during assessments. We requested the Automatic Assessment Configuration capability, received approval from Apple, and confirmed that the capability is listed as Assigned under our App ID in the Apple Developer portal. What works: When using a Development Provisioning Profile (downloaded from the portal), the entitlement key com.apple.developer.automatic-assessment-configuration is included in the profile, and our exam lock feature works correctly in development testing. The problem: When we manually download a Distribution (InHouse/Enterprise) Provisioning Profile from the portal — even after creating a new one — the entitlement key com.apple.developer.automatic-assessment-configuration is not present in the profile. verified this by running: security cms -D -i YourProfile.mobileprovision The key appears in the Development PP but is absent in the manually downloaded Distribution PP, despite the App ID showing the capability as Assigned. Note: When using Xcode's automatic signing, the generated profile does include the entitlement correctly. However, due to our organization's internal security policy, we are required to use manually managed provisioning profiles and cannot use Xcode automatic signing for distribution builds. Questions: Is the com.apple.developer.automatic-assessment-configuration entitlement intentionally restricted to Development profiles only, or is this a known portal issue with managed capabilities not being embedded in manually created Distribution profiles? Is it technically supported and intended to use AEAssessmentSession in an InHouse (Enterprise) distribution environment? If InHouse is not supported, is the correct path to test internally via Development profiles and then submit through App Store distribution to include this entitlement in production? Any guidance on the correct technical direction would be greatly appreciated.

com.apple.developer.mail-client entitlement issue
We have an app with the default email entitlement that was granted several years ago. During our latest deployment, we received an error from our pipeline. When testing a manual submission in Xcode, we saw this error: Entitlement com.apple.developer.mail-client not found and could not be included in profile. This likely is not a valid entitlement and should be removed from your entitlements file. We checked the provisioning profile, and the default email entitlement is still present. It is visible on the certificate portal and also in the embedded.mobileprovision file. Can you suggest what we can do to release a new version of our app?

Family Controls Entitlement for Extension Identifier
I've already submitted multiple cases about this issue. My Family Controls Distribution request was apparently approved (or I was told via Developer Support) for my Device Activity extension, but the Distribution option still does not appear in the identifier. This is blocking my ability to distribute via TestFlight. I need someone who can update the identifier capabilities or explain why the approved capability is not showing.

com.apple.developer.mail-client entitlement issue
