Problem with login access and security on iOS 26, iPhone 13 Pro Max
Hi, I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max running iOS 26.0 (beta). After installing the update, I get a message stating that I need to update my Apple account settings. When I log in, it freezes and nothing can be done. I also can't access the login and security settings, as it also freezes and won't progress. Also, the option to install beta versions has disappeared. I don't know why? Could it be that since I have the latest beta, the option disappears until a new update? Please help!

IOS 26 Camera and External Storage
Hi All, I searched for this feedback but didn't see it, so apologies if this has been covered by another thread. Exploring the new camera app, It doesn't seem to recognize that external storage has been connected, so the additional features that allow ProRes high frame rates will throw an error dialog stating that "to use this you need external storage" even when external storage is connected. Using the Files app, the phone recognizes the storage, and this is something I can do with this external storage device on the previous version of IOS. It is clear that this release of the camera has been rewritten significantly since the last version. Is it possible that this is an oversight, a bug, or just functionality that has not been completed? Interested if anybody else is seeing this, or if it is just my setup.

macOS 26 Beta 1 on MacPro7,1 – WindowServer crash when opening Finder
I’m running macOS 26 Beta 1 (build 25A5279m) on a 2019 Mac Pro (MacPro7,1) with a single 4K display connected via HDMI. Whenever I attempt to launch Finder, WindowServer immediately aborts and the machine reboots. Crash details: Process: WindowServer (PID 1441) Exception: EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT) triggered in thread 0 (ws_main_thread) Termination Reason: Abort trap: 6 Backtrace highlights: CA::OGL::MetalContext::draw(MTLPrimitiveType, …) hits an internal __assert_rtn in libsystem_c.dylib Subsequent calls all stem from QuartzCore’s OpenGL/Metal bridge (CA::OGL::render_layers, LayerNode::apply, etc.) Related threads: Thread 2 (com.apple.coreanimation.render-server) idle in mach_msg_overwrite Thread 1 shows AmbientDisplay and ColorSync callbacks running Hardware/Software: MacPro7,1 (2019) macOS 26.0 Beta 1 (25A5279m) 4K monitor via HDMI System Integrity Protection enabled What I’ve tried so far: Safe-boot (crash still occurs) Switching display profiles in System Settings → Displays → Color (no effect) Happy to provide any additional logs or verbose console output. Let me know if there’s any other data that would help diagnose the Metal/OpenGL integration issue in this beta.

Request for Confirmation of Paid International Repair Eligibility – iPhone 14 Pro
Dear Apple Support Team, I am writing to request clarification regarding paid service eligibility for my iPhone 14 Pro outside its original country of purchase. Here are the details of my device: Model: iPhone 14 Pro Serial Number: J346337TKY Purchase Date: December 2022 Current Location: Astana, Kazakhstan Warranty Status: Expired I recently visited an Apple Authorized Service Provider in Kazakhstan, and I was informed that my device could not be accepted for repair due to regional restrictions, even on a paid basis. I would appreciate your assistance in confirming whether my device qualifies for paid repair service in Kazakhstan, or if it is strictly limited to service in its country of origin. If not eligible, could you please advise on the nearest country or region where I can receive authorized service? Looking forward to your guidance on the next steps. Best regards, Ruslan D

Request for Enhanced Security Options for iPhone Passwords App (iCloud Keychain)
Right now, Apple’s iCloud Keychain (where saved passwords are stored) relies on the same authentication methods as your iPhone in general: Face ID or device passcode. This means: • If Face ID fails, it falls back to the device passcode. • Anyone with your passcode can unlock not only your phone but also your saved passwords by allowing the phone to go into the “enter iPhone password to view passwords” on the password app. Why this matters if someone knows or coerces your device passcode, they could potentially: • Bypass Face ID • Access sensitive password data • Compromise multiple accounts and could access all passwords I have saved on the password app. So, Let’s say my girlfriend knows my phone passcode, she pretty much then has access to all other password and backup codes I have saved on the password app. For this security vulnerability I believe it would be beneficial to introduce more advanced security options for accessing the Password section on iPhone. Specifically, 1. The ability to require Face ID only, without fallback to device passcode. 2. An option to set a dedicated password just for accessing the Passwords section (separate from the phone passcode). 3. Additional optional layers of protection, such as two-factor authentication or a biometric lock, that would prevent access even if someone knows the device passcode. These features would provide an extra level of security for users who are concerned about unauthorized access if someone gains access to their phone passcode.

Displaying limited contacts list in UIKit
I have an app that was written in UIKit. It's too large, and it would be much too time consuming at this point to convert it to SwiftUI. I want to incorporate the new limited contacts into this app. The way it's currently written everything works fine except for showing the limited contacts in the contact picker.
Vielen Dank. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Christian Dear Apple Team, I have been an active Public Beta tester for several years and have submitted many reports via the Feedback Assistant – often with detailed descriptions, reproduction steps, and screenshots. Unfortunately, from a user’s perspective, it feels like this feedback disappears into a black hole. Most of my reports remain marked as “Open” for years, without any indication of review or resolution. I understand that individual responses are not part of the process, but there is no confirmation that feedback is received, reviewed, or forwarded internally. As a committed tester, I would greatly appreciate more transparency in the feedback process – for example, a short confirmation message, a basic status indicator (e.g., “duplicate”, “forwarded”, “resolved in version XY”) or even general updates about how user feedback contributes to product improvement. These small gestures would strengthen trust in the process and encourage ongoing contributions. The current silence, however, tends to demotivate testers and raises doubts about the usefulness of reporting bugs at all. I hope you will consider this suggestion and possibly forward it to the responsible internal teams. Sincerely, Christian

iOS 26 : iPhone 16 Pro not charging via USB-C
Hello, I installed iOS 26 beta 1 yesterday when it came off but now, when I plug my iPhone, it just do nothing. I can charge it via the induction charger but I can't via USB-C port. The other way I can charge it is by turning my iPhone off and plugging it so it starts and then it charges via USB-C Port even when it starts. The thing is that when I unplug the cable and try to plug it back in, it doesn't charge anymore... I tried to put the restore mode (with the Mac and the cable on the screen) and even the DFU Mode but the iPhone is not detected by my Macbook and it's the same thing for my Windows PC : not detected... I also tried to erase the settings and content but same issue... Not charging Apple Store can do nothing because it's a dev beta... Am I the only one to have that issue ?

Cannot update HomeBrew, due to SHA256 mismatch on --jpegsrc.v9d.tar.gz download
I want to install tesseract in order to get OCR feature in ChatGPT. Tesseract install requires the use of HomeBrew on macOS But I am using macOS 15.5 and the version of HomeBrew is not compatible. When tying to install Tasseract, old version of HomeBrew is detected and HomeBrew starts updating automatically. The process goes fine until the download of the jpegsrc.v9d.tar.gz component. SHA256 mismatch is detected and the update process stops. But the downloaded jpegsrc.v9d.tar.gz doesn't seem to be corrupted. Maybe an error of the expected SHA256? Any help is welcome that would enable me to complete the HomeBrew update process. Many thanks in advance for your support. ------------------------------ This is what I get in Terminal: Error: Could not find an SDK that supports macOS 15.5. Any help would be greatly appreciated. func requestAccess(completionHandler: @escaping (_ accessGranted: Bool) -> Void) { switch CNContactStore.authorizationStatus(for: .contacts) { case .authorized: completionHandler(true) case .denied: showSettingsAlert(completionHandler) case .restricted, .notDetermined: CNContactStore().requestAccess(for: .contacts) { granted, error in if granted { completionHandler(true) } else { DispatchQueue.main.async { [weak self] in self?.showSettingsAlert(completionHandler) } } } // iOS 18 only case .limited: completionHandler(true) @unknown default: break } } // A text field that displays the name of the chosen contact @IBAction func contact_Fld_Tapped(_ sender: TextField_Designable) { sender.resignFirstResponder() // The contact ID that is saved to the Db getTheCurrentContactID() let theAlert = UIAlertController(title: K.Titles.chooseAContact, message: nil, preferredStyle: .actionSheet) // Create a new contact let addContact = UIAlertAction(title: K.Titles.newContact, style: .default) { [weak self] _ in self?.requestAccess { _ in let openContact = CNContact() let vc = CNContactViewController(forNewContact: openContact) vc.delegate = self // this delegate CNContactViewControllerDelegate DispatchQueue.main.async { self?.present(UINavigationController(rootViewController: vc), animated: true) } } } let getContact = UIAlertAction(title: K.Titles.fromContacts, style: .default) { [weak self] _ in self?.requestAccess { _ in self?.contactPicker.delegate = self DispatchQueue.main.async { self?.present(self!.contactPicker, animated: true) } } } let editBtn = UIAlertAction(title: K.Titles.editContact, style: .default) { [weak self] _ in self?.requestAccess { _ in let store = CNContactStore() var vc = CNContactViewController() do { let descriptor = CNContactViewController.descriptorForRequiredKeys() let editContact = try store.unifiedContact(withIdentifier: self!.oldContactID, keysToFetch: [descriptor]) vc = CNContactViewController(for: editContact) } catch { print("Getting contact to edit failed: \(self!.VC_String) \(error)") } vc.delegate = self // delegate for CNContactViewControllerDelegate self?.navigationController?.isNavigationBarHidden = false self?.navigationController?.navigationItem.hidesBackButton = false self?.navigationController?.pushViewController(vc, animated: true) } } let cancel = UIAlertAction(title: K.Titles.cancel, style: .cancel) { _ in } if oldContactID.isEmpty { editBtn.isEnabled = false } theAlert.addAction(getContact) // Select from contacts theAlert.addAction(addContact) // Create new contact theAlert.addAction(editBtn) // Edit this contact theAlert.addAction(cancel) let popOver = theAlert.popoverPresentationController popOver?.sourceView = sender popOver?.sourceRect = sender.bounds popOver?.permittedArrowDirections = .any present(theAlert, animated: true) } func requestAccess(completionHandler: @escaping (_ accessGranted: Bool) -> Void) { switch CNContactStore.authorizationStatus(for: .contacts) { case .authorized: completionHandler(true) case .denied: showSettingsAlert(completionHandler) case .restricted, .notDetermined: CNContactStore().requestAccess(for: .contacts) { granted, error in if granted { completionHandler(true) } else { DispatchQueue.main.async { [weak self] in self?.showSettingsAlert(completionHandler) } } } // iOS 18 only case .limited: completionHandler(true) @unknown default: break } } // MARK: - Contact Picker Delegate extension AddEdit_Quote_VC: CNContactPickerDelegate { func contactPicker(_ picker: CNContactPickerViewController, didSelect contact: CNContact) { selectedContactID = contact.identifier let company: String = contact.organizationName let companyText = company == "" ?
Sincerely, Christian

tvOS 26 removes ability to restrict apps with passcode
Please make sure this feature gets placed back. Parents need a way to provide the ability for kids to watch and not watch at their discretion. The new system doesn’t allow this to happen. Are there any workarounds?

iOS 26 : iPhone 16 Pro not charging via USB-C

You may have have an outdated or incompatible CLT. Homebrew found the following SDKs in the CLT install: 10.14 10.15 Please update CLT or uninstall it if no updates are available. macos system error
Under multiple display screens (left and right screens), when a commonly used app application clicks "Window" -> "Move to..." When it comes to this, the app cannot be completely moved to the other window but instead moves to the middle of the two Windows for display. Is this a bug of the system?
