Hi - I've been using logic for a few years now. Three days ago I whilst opening it, a pop up said MIDICORE was not working and I haven't been able to fix it since. I read online that booting up in safe mode + opening audio MIDI set up would fix it, thing is audio MIDI set up wont load up. Anyone knows how I can fix it? I am on the verge of tears as I cannot seam to find any information online about audio MIDI set up not opening. And I cannot seam to fix the MIDI issue without it. Thanks!

To determine if a user has canceled their subscription, we’re using the expirationIntent key from JWSRenewalInfo data. However, we’ve noticed that we sometimes receive this key and other times not. We’re also facing an issue with the offertype key. We use this key to determine if a user is currently in the introductory offer, the promotion offer, or neither. Hello, I’m developing my project for the Swift Student Challenge and I have some questions about the platform it will be tested on. If I create an iOS app that uses ARKit, for example, will it be evaluated on a real iPhone or only in a simulator on a Mac? I ask this because some functionalities, such as camera-based augmented reality, don’t work properly in the simulator. I’d like to better understand the guidelines to ensure my project functions correctly during the evaluation. Thank you!

I've just watched "Meet Object Capture for iOS wwdc23" and have installed and run the app. After taking > 120 images of my model I clicked the "Finish" button and the app is now showing a spinning pinwheel. It has been running for about 22 hours. Is it going to finish or should I kill it? TIA!

My experiments have managed to damage my installed system and I am getting alerts that it needs to be re-installed. But when I try to get Recovery to re-install the same system, it refuses. It says my installed system is newer than what it could install. In general, what is the minimum I would need to change or remove from my current system to convince Recovery to re-install? For example: Could I just delete a certain small group of System files? Could I Erase only the Macintosh HD Volume in the container, leaving the Macintosh HD - data Volume intact? I really would rather not ERASE everything and restore it all from backups, just to satisfy Recovery that it will not be writing older over newer. It won't be, but since I have available applied updates, the version available for Restore is currently older than the damaged version on the drive.

Another developer tried to start a screen-sharing session with me on my M1 MacBook Air this morning (Sequoia 15.3). He reported however that another session was already under way on my machine. I looked in System Settings and found that the "Screen Sharing" setting was grayed out, with the notation that "This service is currently being controlled by the Remote Management service". Access to the service is disabled however, and I have no way of turning it off. It's possible that the person who tried to help me got this session started, and that it then got aborted in some irregular way, but he see no indication of that and says there is no connection between us as seen from his end. This makes me nervous security-wise. Is there some way I can turn this off and ensure that I am not being screen-shared against my will, as it were? TIA, Howard

Has anyone had the issue where you try to sign in and you have to repetitively put you log in in to finally take? When it does take you set up your syncing options but your photo's, Files and everything never sync. I've updated all my system files on my computer. I even did a clean install of my windows operating system and installed it and it's doing the same thing. Any suggestions?

I am looking to do an app for dog owners, trainers and enterprises such as shelters & boarding, and a couple of features require access to one or more cameras in real time. So I have been looking for hardware that provides an API and coming up empty. So far as I can tell none of the major pet cam companies, like Furbo, Petcube or Eufy. Even security cameras like the TP-Link Tapo doesn't seem to. Am I just failing epically in my search formulation, or are all these companies playing the printer game and selling the camera cheap and making all their money in the monthly subscription to actually be able to use the hardware, and keeping that to themselves? And, can anyone recommend decent to good third party hardware that does provide a Swift API? Or am I better off just targeting the use of iPhone & iPad and Mac cameras? It's not ideal, but it's better than nothing.

Hey, I was wondering if judges will use physical devices or simulated ones to judge out entries. Furthermore, what types of devices will the destination run on? (iPad, iPhone, Mac, etc)

It was mentioned in the Swift Student Challenge that outstanding winners will have the opportunity to visit Apple Park in the United States. However, as a challenger from China who is not currently in the U.S., this means that if I receive the outstanding award, I will need to apply for a visa to travel to Apple Park. I was developing my app on Xcode and I saw in requirements it says “your submission must be an app playground (.swiftpm) I reckon I can develop in Xcode and then copy those files in playgrounds app, make some changes, for it to work. also I made my project in landscape mode in Xcode, in playgrounds can I lock display orientation through package.swift file or I should continue making me app in landscape mode and ask players to change their viewing orientation via a popup?

I am new to swift (developer from long ago) and have not been able to resolve an issue with IOS - I am building a text entry box with save / cancel buttons at bottom and a texteditor above all within a fixed size frame. It's all OK on macOS but when I try iOS the space taken by the form weirdly expands (beyond the size of the text editor) and end up pushing the save /cancel buttons below outside view. An extract of the code is here. I have tried all sorts of things like setting frame sizes, line limits, spacers, scrolling disable, but I can't stop the behaviour. Any ideas. Hi All, Im writing a flutter app and have had no issue thus far. My latest review says the iPad air (5th) is hanging on the splash (launch) screen. I have no idea why this is. The main method In flutter is more or less empty, as functions have been offset elsewhere. I'm not quite sure what to do next. I resorted to rebuilding the IOS dir and that make a difference for the iPhone issue not the iPad. I run it in the simulator and notice one issue which I imagine is the problem. it states: Errors found! Invalidating cache... fopen failed for data file: errno = 2 (No such file or directory) Errors found! Invalidating cache... I'm using plane old flutter and don't believe I access any assets that aren't specified. Any pointer would be a great help!

A question from an ordinary user for developers: The essence of the problem: I installed the To Do List by MinimaList app on both my MacBook and iPhone. After installing it, I decided not to use it and deleted the application. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/minimalist-to-do-list-widget/id993066159 However, it turned out that not everything was removed. Specifically: • In the “Allow Others to Find Me” section on both my MacBook and iPhone, these apps still appear. No matter what I do—whether I delete or clear them—they continue to be displayed there. • This app continues to appear in the section located at: Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Stored in iCloud → See All → Allow Finding Me – To Do List and one more item. • It cannot be deleted. • It won’t delete on my MacBook, and it won’t delete on my iPhone. • It also appeared in iCloud itself under the Email Search section. P.S. The official Apple support (without violating any internal regulations) advised me to post on the forum to get in touch with Apple developers. In hope, I am posting this question here.

Hi, I have a Retina 13 inch 2020 macbook air and an iPad 7. My macbook is updated to macOS sonoma and my iPad is updated to iPadOS 18.3. I want to use the sidecar feature on my mac and project the macbook display onto my iPad. I remember it working around a year ago when I used this feature before, but now it's telling me I have issues connecting due to my iPad's WiFi being 'unavailable.' However, my iPad isn't connecting to hot-spot, my mac isn't sharing the internet connection, they're linked to the same apple ID account, and they're on the same WiFi network. I've tried connecting both wirelessly and wired (and trusted the computer) but no matter how much I troubleshoot it, it won't connect. I'd be really grateful if somebody could help me fix this.
