GameKit Turn Based Matches Push Notifications
I'm developing a game that supports GameKit turn based matches. What I don't understand is this: Is tapping on the Game Center notification push messages the only way for the GKTurnBasedEventListener to trigger? What if someone misses the push message (swiping it away by accident or something like that) but still wants to join? Is there some inbox somewhere where the pending messages can be seen or fetched? Also it was mentioned in a very old WWDC video (from 2013, I think that's the latest with information about turn based matches) that the notification also includes a badge for the icon. However, I do not understand how to implement that. Is there any documentation for that?

How does the automatch feature work in Game Kit?
I'm developing a turn based game. When I present the GKTurnBasedMatchmakerViewController players can opt in for automatch instead of selecting a specific friend as opponent. How exactly does the matching work if a player doesn't specify anything explicitly? Does Game Center send push notifications in a round robin fashion to all friends and the first one to accept is then matched as opponent? Is this documented somewhere?

GameKit Leaderboards not working in iOS 26.2
Leaderboards working fine in iOS 26.1 but seem to be broken in 26.2 and also in the 26.3 developer beta. Players cannot submit scores and neither can they view scores on Apple's default leaderboards. Custom leaderboards that rely on pulling information using GameKit APIs also fail. Is there a workaround or patch for this?

MatchMaker VC not showing existing matches after upgrade.
Updated my app to include turn-based matches. Beta testing through FlightTest and all was well between iOS 18.x and 26.2 devices. One beta tester upgraded to 26.2 during beta testing and now when the MatchMaker VC is opened, it does not show existing matches. Worse, he can create new matches and play his turn, but the new match won't even show up in MMVC, even after opponent takes turn. My app has been reviewed and is ready for release, but I'd like to know how to solve this before I release. He has tried re-installing the app, including an updated FlightTest version that is the same as the about-to-be-released reviewed version.

Krazy Krownz multiplayer option not working for Game Center!
When trying to play with friends Krazy Krownz doesn’t allow me to click multiplayer even though my Apple Game Center connected and my friends Apple game center connected as well. I even tried sending an invite from Apple Game Center to friends and Krazy Krownz doesn’t even show up on the list of available multiplayer games. I’ve signed out and back in the same issue remain. I’ve try to contact the game developer, but the website doesn’t work.

Present GameCentre Overlay Programmatically
As GKGameCenterViewController has been deprecated, it seems that GKAccessPoint is now the correct way to present the GameCentre leaderboard. But the placement options for the GKAccessPoint are very limited and lead to misaligned UI that looks clunky, as the GKAccessPoint does not align with the system navigation toolbar. Am I missing something here or am I just stuck with a lopsided UI now? I much preferred how this previously worked, where I could present the GKGameCenterViewController in a sheet from my own button

Leaderboard not available to edit points
When I go to the leadership section, I have 8 currently active leaderboards. When I select "manage scores and players" I see 9 leaderboards, from which 5 are legacy and my 4 new ones are not listed (also it comes in a very old design). New players will score in the 4 new leaderboards but I need to remove the top score which was the developer score, to give them a chance, but the new leaderboards are not accessible.

Issue with Apple Search Ads Attribution Callback (SKAdNetwork / AdAttributionKit)
Dear Apple Developer Technical Support Team, We are currently integrating Apple Search Ads attribution (SKAdNetwork / AdAttributionKit) for our application, but we have been unable to receive any attribution callbacks from Apple. We would appreciate your assistance in diagnosing this issue. App Information: App ID: 1531290216 Bundle ID: com.volvapps.tk2.cn Callback Endpoint: Our server endpoint for receiving attribution postbacks is: https://volvgames.com/.well-known/skadnetwork/report-attribution Issue Description: We have conducted multiple tests under different scenarios, but in all cases, our server has not received any callback from Apple. Test Scenarios: ① Xcode Installation Test Built and launched the app directly via Xcode. Called the following APIs within the app: SKAdNetwork registerAppForAdNetworkAttribution SKAdNetwork updateConversionValue:value Result: No callback received on our server. ②On-Device Developer Mode Test (AdAttributionKit) Enabled AdAttributionKit Developer Mode on a physical iPhone. Configured a development postback using the app’s Bundle ID. Used either the provided developer postback URL or manually entered our endpoint. Created and triggered the postback via “Send Development Postback”. Result: No callback received. ③Additional Attempts Modified the callback URL from: https://volvgames.com/.well-known/skadnetwork/report-attribution to: https://volvgames.com/ Repeated tests under both Xcode and Developer Mode environments. Also attempted triggering postbacks after calling the attribution APIs within the app. Result: Still no callback received in all cases. Additional Question: We understand that certain files may be required for review or troubleshooting. However, we were unable to find where to upload attachments when submitting this request. We would like to provide the following files for your reference: info.plist AdAttribution.mm Could you please advise how we can submit these files to assist with the investigation? We would greatly appreciate any guidance or suggestions you may have regarding this issue. Please let us know if further information is required. Thank you for your support.

Cannot submit Game Center leaderboard – asks for app version although app is already live
Hi, I’m stuck with submitting a Game Center leaderboard and wanted to ask if others are seeing the same issue. My setup: App is already live on the App Store Game Center capability is enabled Leaderboard works perfectly in TestFlight (scores are submitted and visible) Problem: When I try to submit the leaderboard for review, I get: “A Game Center enabled app version must be added for review.” This is confusing because: The app already includes Game Center The app is already approved and published Apple documentation says Game Center components can be submitted without a new app version I also tried recreating the leaderboard and checking all settings, but the issue persists. Is this a known App Store Connect issue? Or is there something I’m missing? Thanks!

GKLeaderboard.submitScore succeeds in development but no production users appear on leaderboard
I'm building an iOS word game (Gramfall) and no production App Store users can see their own scores on any leaderboard, despite Game Center authentication succeeding and no errors being thrown. The same code works correctly in development and all 6 leaderboard submissions fire "Score submitted" notifications on my dev device. 6 leaderboards in App Store Connect (3 Classic all-time, 3 Recurring monthly) and all are Live Production App Store users: authenticated, scores submitted, no errors — scores never appear Development build: all 6 submissions confirmed via Settings → Developer → Notify About Score Submissions Affected users cannot see their own score on the leaderboard from their own device. This rules out privacy/visibility restrictions as a player should always see their own score. This suggests submissions are either silently failing or being accepted but not recorded in the production Game Center environment. What we have ruled out Leaderboard ID mismatch (Everything in App Store Connect matches) Authentication failure (GKLocalPlayer.local.isAuthenticated is true, app shows "Connected") All 6 leaderboards load with releaseState(rawValue: 1), isHidden: false Account-level restrictions effectively ruled out as it affects all users, not one account endGame() fires correctly, confirmed in dev Questions Is there a known difference in how GKLeaderboard.submitScore behaves between the sandbox and production Game Center environments that could cause silent failures? Is there any way for a submission to return no error yet still not be recorded in production? Code func submitGameResult(timeSeconds: Int, score: Int, longestWordLength: Int) { guard GKLocalPlayer.local.isAuthenticated else { return } Task { do { try await GKLeaderboard.submitScore(timeSeconds, context: 0, player: GKLocalPlayer.local, leaderboardIDs: ["gramfall.lb.time", "gramfall.lb.time.monthly"]) try await GKLeaderboard.submitScore(score, context: 0, player: GKLocalPlayer.local, leaderboardIDs: ["gramfall.lb.score", "gramfall.lb.score.monthly"]) try await GKLeaderboard.submitScore(longestWordLength, context: 0, player: GKLocalPlayer.local, leaderboardIDs: ["gramfall.lb.longestword", "gramfall.lb.longestword.monthly"]) } catch { print("[GameCenter] submitGameResult failed: \(error)") } } }

Transferring Apps with iCloud KVS
Hi All! I'm being asked to migrate an app which utilizes iCloud KVS (Key Value Storage). This ability is a new-ish feature, and the documentation about this is sparse [1]. Honestly, the entire documentation about the new iCloud transfer functionality seems to be missing. Same with Game Center / GameKit. While the docs say that it should work, I'd like to understand the process in more detail. Has anyone migrated an iCloud KVS app? What happens after the transfer goes through, but before the first release? Do I need to do anything special? I see that the Entitlements file has the TeamID in the Key Value store - is that fine? <key>com.apple.developer.ubiquity-kvstore-identifier</key> <string>$(TeamIdentifierPrefix)$(CFBundleIdentifier)</string> Can someone please share their experience? How do I test a new leaderboard added to a Published app with prior leaderboard?
Hi I have attempted to find a fix for my issue via documentation online and one phone support ( not code level support ) call to no end. I could continue to try various things but would like to see if someone else has encountered this issue and a fix for it. Background: My Game app is live on App Store and has 1 classic leaderboard . I am now getting ready to submit an update to the app and it also entails adding a new recurring leaderboard. I added the leaderboard in App Store. I however have NOT uploaded my new build yet. I have also not added my leaderboards ( currently live and not live ) to any set. When I try to submit scores using GKLeaderboard.submitScore(_:context:player:leaderboardIDs:completionHandler:) to the new non-live leaderboard it works ( gives me no error ) When I try to load the scores from the new non-live leaderboard GKLeaderboard.loadLeaderboards(IDs:completionHandler:) loadEntries(for:timeScope:range:completionHandler:) it fails. Error: "leaderboardID not found" I could try ( and will ) uploading the new build to AppStore connect and associating the new leaderboard to it before testing again. try associating each leaderboard to a set Is there anything else that I should be aware of ? Thanks in advance

GameKit Achievements, Leaderboards and Challenges not showing on iOS 26 beta 4 in the Game Center UI (opened from GKAccessPoint)
On an iPad running iPadOS 26 beta 4, when tapping the Game Center Access Point, the overlay doesn’t show the configured achievements, leaderboards or challenges. I should specify this is an in-development app and the achievements and leaderboards are in the “Not Live” state, however they show on other devices running iOS 18 in the Access Point UI. Anyone else having this issue? If so, how should I test achievements and leaderboards while iOS 26 beta is out? The UI looks like this on iPadOS 26:

App not showing in Game Center “All Activity” after release
Hello — I shipped an App Store build that signs in to Game Center using the Apple Unity Plugins (GameKit). The login banner appears, but my app still doesn’t show up in Game Center’s “All activity” (You started playing XXX 2d ago) What I’ve done Call await GKLocalPlayer.Authenticate(); “Game Center” is enabled for the current version in App Store Connect Confirmed: other App Store games do appear under “All Activity” on the same device/account Timeline: This is the first version that enables Game Center (not the app’s first release), and it has been about 2 hours since this build went live. Questions Is authentication alone sufficient for “Recently Played,” or is at least one Game Center component (leaderboards, achievements, activities, multiplayer) required? Is there a typical propagation delay before “Recently Played” starts showing a newly enabled app/version? Is there anything else I should configure in App Store Connect or entitlements to make “Recently Played” visible? Thanks for any help.

Monthly recurring leaderboard and placement achievement?
I would like a monthly recurring leaderboard, but the most days one can set for the recurring leaderboard is 30, and some months have 31 days (or 28/29). This is dumb. I guess I have to manually reset a classic leaderboard each month to get this result? Additionally once it closes and is about to reset (I also have daily recurring leaderboards), I'd like to grant the top placers on the leaderboard a corresponding achievement, but I don't see any way of doing this. I believe I can do all these things on PlayFab, but it'll take a bit more work, and eventually cost. Any one have advise?

Unity GameKit plugin beta GameKit Activity UnsupportedOperationForOSVersion
I’m running into unexpected problems with the Unity GameKit plugin setup with the new Activities. I didn’t see anyone else mentioning these issues, so my guess is that it’s a problem with my setup. The authentication (GKLocalPlayer.Authenticate()) works as expected, but any call to the new GameActivity functionality (e.g. GKGameActivityDefinition.LoadGameActivityDefinitions() or GKGameActivity.WantsToPlay) gives me an exception with a 'UnsupportedOperationForOSVersion' reason despite it running on an iOS 18.6.1 device. I’m using a completely empty Unity 2022.3.62f1 project that only contains the official authentication example, followed by an event handler for activities from another example and the Unity core and gamekit plugins. The setup: macOS 15.6 Xcode 26 beta 6 (also tried with 5) Physical iPhone device running iOS 18.6.1 Unity 2022.3.62f1, which satisfies the requirements Unity plugin, Xcode setup, and build steps: I Followed the official beta branch build steps for Unity plugins with python3 build.py -m iOS iPhoneSimulator macOS -p Core GameKit which ran through after a slight modification for the macOS target that somehow contained an unknown team reference for the GameKitWrapper project, which I changed to not reference a team and use ‘sign to run locally’, as was the case for the other packages. As far as I understood the macOS version is not strictly necessary either way just for running it on a local iOS device(?) I Imported these as tarball packages into the empty Unity 2022.3.62f1 project as per the official instructions, which seems to work as expected Added a single script with the mentioned example code added in a MonoBehavior.Start Building in Unity works as expected as well, creating the Xcode project The Unity-iPhone target has the GameKit framework linked (’do not embed’) and the GameCenter capability was added automatically as expected The GameKit framework seems to not be added to the UnityFramework target, but I don’t think this is necessary? Quickly testing this with the GameKit framework added there as well didn’t make a difference The linked GameKit framework is indeed the expected Xcode 26 beta version I can then build and run this on the physical iPhone iOS 18.6.1 device, where I get an ‘UnsupportedOperationForOSVersion’ as soon as I try to subscribe to deeplinking events (GKGameActivity.WantsToPlay) or use other GameKit Activity functionality from the official examples: // log showing that it's actually running on iOS 18.6: [Apple.Core Plug-In Runtime] Availability Runtime Environment: iOS 18.6 Apple.Core.Availability:OnApplicationStart() // and the exception I get: GameKitException: Code=-7 Domain=GKErrorDomain Description=The operation couldn’t be completed. (GKErrorDomain error -7.) (UnsupportedOperationForOSVersion) at Apple.GameKit.DefaultNSErrorHandler.ThrowNSError (System.IntPtr nsErrorPtr) [0x00000] in <00000000000000000000000000000000>:0 Rethrow as TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'Apple.GameKit.GKGameActivity' threw an exception. I unfortunately didn’t find any clues as to why this happens and how to resolve it on this forum or otherwise. Changing the minimum iOS version - up to 18.6 from the previously used (Unity export default) 12.0 for any and all targets - did not yield a different result I'd rather not update the phone to use the iOS 26 beta, though as far as I understood this is not necessary Any pointers to what I might be missing or doing wrong are greatly appreciated! Thank you very much in advance!

GKLeaderboard.LoadLeaderboards() return empty when testing on Xcode with local gamekit file (Unity)
var allLeaderboards = await GKLeaderboard.LoadLeaderboards(); Log(allLeaderboards.Count); // returns 0 What am I missing?? What doesn’t work: await GKGameActivityDefinition.LoadGameActivityDefinitions() → count = 0 await GKLeaderboard.LoadLeaderboards() (no args) → 0 leaderboards await GKLeaderboard.LoadLeaderboards("MY ID") → returns 0 GkGameActivity.SetScoreOnLeaderboard(Leaderboard, score, context); returns an error since my Leaderboard is null. Activities and leaderboards are defined in GameCenterResources.gamekit in Xcode. Achievements that I add locally in the .gamekit file do not appear at runtime either; only ASC live ones show. ** What works:** xcode- debug- Gamekit- Manage Game progress- I can submit new scores with the plus button and see the notification on my device. await GKLocalPlayer.Authenticate() succeeds. await GKAchievement.LoadAchievements() returns the list of achievements configured in App Store Connect- but not any new local achievements created in Xcode in GameCenterResources.gamekit Environment Device/OS: iPhone on iOS 26.0 beta (Game Center sandbox) Xcode: 26.0 beta 6 Unity: 2022.3.21 Apple GameKit Unity plugin: 2025-beta1 (GameKit package) Signing: Game Center capability enabled; using development provisioning profile GameKit resources: GameCenterResources.gamekit in project (Target: Unity-iPhone), appears under Build Phases → Copy Bundle Resources

Game Center breaks "Kids games" Rules on iPadOS 26
I have several games on the app store which are setup as "For Kids" which means these games cannot have any way to access the outside world including the App Store. No problem. These games have worked fine for years until iOS 26. Now, all my updates are being rejected because the new version of Game Center running on iPadOS 26 has a way for people to exit the game and go to the App Store. I have no control over this since it's built into Game Center, and the app review folks want me to put a "parental gate" on it, but there's no way to do that because... well... it's in Game Center, not my code. So, I'm unable to update my apps because of this. Presumably, the existing versions on the app store still do this exact same thing, so my update isn't going to make any difference. Does anyone know of a way to make that crap at the top go away so this isn't an issue?

Xcode 26 – "Manage Game Progress" not showing achievements/leaderboards on macOS
Hello, When testing GameKit "Manage Game Progress" in Xcode 26: On iOS devices, achievements, leaderboards, and party code data display and work correctly. On macOS devices, none of these data appear in "Manage Game Progress." Is this a known issue with macOS GameKit, or is there a limitation compared to iOS? If it is not a bug, is there any additional configuration needed to make achievements and leaderboards visible on macOS? I also included the GameKit bundle in my macOS app and enabled Enable Debug Mode in GameKit Configuration in the scheme options. Thank you.

Thank you.
