So I have web Augmented Reality apps hosted on AWS S3. It worked fine for a month, but as soon as the IOS 18.4 update was installed they stopped working. It works on every other device and IOS versions. The URLs for the mentioned AR experiences: digitechonline.in/solsprefimaginewt8/ digitechonline.in/solsprefimaginewt8p2/ digitechonline.in/orocarear/ These AR experiences get stuck on the loading screen and either reload or give an error. Ideally the camera is supposed to open. I have tested it on Safari, Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome browsers. They were created through Unity webgl and hosted on AWS S3 bucket. Please provide a quick solution to this.

I have a website I’m working on that uses WordPress and element mentor pro. Basically everything is custom HTML in individual containers and custom CSS for each page. The problem that I’m running into is there needs to be a pop-up and the easiest way to do that is just use the element or proper pop-ups however, the overlay is not extending into the safe areas on the bottom or top notch. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to fix this, and I cannot get it to work. I’ve tried having CSS in every imaginable way to get it to extend the overlay.. The other issue is for this website there is no header. It’s just a container that’s the hero content and for some reason that also will not extend into the top-notch safe area. It extends to the bottom notch just fine but not the top notch and there’s just a white bar there where I prefer it be the background gradient that I have set up for the hero however, nothing I do will get it to push into that top notch safe area either. Hoping someone else had this issue and can help me out

When viewing a live YouTube stream last night, YouTube put up the warning in the area that would have the chat window: Oh no! It looks like you're using an older version of your browser. Please update it to use live chat. Anyone know if YouTube is generating this from the server based on the WebPage's user agent string, from Javascript running in the browser engine, or something else? What I Need Help With: I want to launch the App Clip from a custom button click, using either: The default App Clip URL, or The website URL (e.g., https://appclip-sand.vercel.app/customer) with additional query parameters like userId or sessionId. Hello everyone, We've had our app rejected twice under Guideline 3.2.2 regarding charitable donations, and we're seeking clarification on the correct implementation. We've read the guidelines but want to confirm the technical approach with the community's experience. The Rejection Reason: Apple states: "We still noticed that your app includes the ability to collect charitable donations within the app..." They specify that since we are not an approved nonprofit, we must use one of the alternatives, primarily: "provide a link to your website that launches the default browser or SFSafariViewController for users to make a donation." Our Current (Rejected) Implementation: User taps a "Help" button in our native app. A native modal appears inside our app where the user enters their donation amount and email address for the receipt. The user clicks "Donate," which then opens an SFSafariViewController to our website's payment page (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). The amount and email are passed as URL parameters to pre-fill the form. Our Questions for the Community: Is the issue solely the fact that we have a native modal for data entry? We understand we cannot process the payment in-app, but we thought collecting the intent (amount, email) was acceptable before handing off to Safari. What is the definitive, compliant flow? Option A: Should the "Help" button do nothing more than open an SFSafariViewController to a generic donations landing page on our website (https://ourwebsite.com/donate), with no data pre-filled? The user must then navigate and enter all information on the website itself. Option C: The rejection also mentions SMS. Has anyone had success implementing a "Text-to-Donate" link instead of a web flow? Wording: The button in our app currently says "Donate". I understand that you want echoCancellation and noiseSuppression in most cases, but I would like to be able to turn off all the filter processes for this particular use case. When I set echoCancellation: false in navigator.mediaDevices.getUserMedia, Safari 26 on MacOS produces stereo recording even if I set channelCount: 1. When I set echoCancellation: true, it produces mono recording as expected. How can I get mono recording with echoCancellation: false and channelCount: 1? Thanks!

Hi everyone, We work on a macOS plugin which then gets loaded into another application. I'm trying to load a webpage in that application through our plugin using a WKWebView & I set my class as the navigationDelegate for the same. I do not receive any callbacks for the WKNavigationDelegate methods. I have debugged & made sure that the navigationDelegate is actually set to my class. Is it possible to add a background.js worker to my existing Safari App Extension to have access to the beginRequest method override inside SFSafariExtensionHandler? Without converting my extension from Safari App Extension to Safari Web Extenion?

My app has been published by 2 months now I still I cant get Universal Links to work. I checked a lot of docs as well as videos about setting up universal links. Everyone with clear steps: Add the well-known json file to the server. Already validated by AASA web validator. Add the Associated domain on project capabilities, with the Web page root only. Eg: applinks:example:com. Install the app and trying clicking a link from notepad. Or instead make a long press to deploy contextual menu to see if my app is on the selectable options to open the link. My app is not been open in any of my attempts and the console always trying to use safari. I had a couple of screenshots of my testing. I really need help with this.

Chrome's Incognito mode can not open app from universal link on iOS. It's opened a web page instead of launching the app even the app already installed on the iOS device.

I recently noticed that putting the app on background for some time, then switching back to it again causes the WKWebView to reload the current page, same with just hitting f5 on it. How do we disable this behavior?

I have a working answerer-only WebRTC client to view video from a remote device. This client, works in all common web browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.) except in Safari. After trying to debug the problem, I noticed that after calling await peerConnection.setLocalDescription(answer); RTCPeerConnection.iceGatheringState never changes to the "gathering" state and stays the default initial "new" state. This is a problem because the ICE candidates can never be gathered and thus the client in Safari does not work at all. What is surprising and weird is that by explicitly calling setLocalDescription(), ICE gathering should start as mentioned in the documentation: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/RTCPeerConnection/icecandidate_event. However, in Safari, this never happens. I experienced this issue in both Safari 18.x and 21.x versions.

When the “Use Strong Password?” dialog appears and I select “Not Now” to manually enter my own password, the password I type is displayed in plain text instead of being masked. Since the input field is of type="password", the entered characters should be hidden as is standard for password inputs. Is there a way to prevent this behavior and ensure that the password is properly hidden even after dismissing the strong password suggestion dialog?

Hey everyone, After installing iOS 26 beta, I started noticing unexpected behavior in our input event handlers. Specifically, when users type into an field, event.target.value is always an empty string — but only when the JS file is loaded from a specific domain (e.g., t1.daumcdn.net). The exact same code works perfectly when hosted on other domains like t2.daumcdn.net or search1.daumcdn.net. 👉 I created a demo here: 🔗 CodePen Demo The scripts loaded from each domain are 100% identical (apart from the top-level selector). Before iOS 26 beta, this worked fine. The icon (new file downloaded) inside the search bar on Safari does not display after downloading a file. To update the search bar and display the icon you have to open the search bar and then close it again to see that a new file was downloaded.
