I want use the Safari Extension to decorate the window.fetch function, But No matter how I try, I can't get the fetch function to execute correctly. I was going through the documentation: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/safariservices/using-injected-style-sheets-and-scripts and found this sentence: "Injected scripts have an implied namespace — you don’t have to worry about your variable or function names conflicting with those of the website author, nor can a website author call functions in your extension. In other words, injected scripts and scripts that you include in the webpage run in isolated worlds, with no access to each other’s functions or data." Does this mean I can't modify the window object in the content script just like a Chrome extension does with the webpage? BTW, In chrome I use chrome.scripting.executeScript API, and in plasmo I just use world: "MAIN" content script's config to achieved this feature.

I have an endpoint that generates a .ics file. From my mobile app, I open the browser (Safari) and retrieve the .ics file. In Safari, the events are displayed as expected, and I can use the "Add All" button to add them to the calendar. After clicking "Add All," I can select the desired calendar, and the events are successfully added (see screenshots 1 and 2 below). Within installed PWAs, the navigator.language / navigator.languages property return a value, that is not according to the Safari settings and defers from the navigator.language / navigator.languages in the browser itself. Example: Safari settings set to "German", returns "de-DE" in browser mode, but within the installed webApp it returns "en-GB". I thought this might be due to the overall phone language settings, but this is not the case. Even is the phone is completely set to German, the navigator returns "en-GB" within an installed PWA. My phone is also not English/British, there is no reason why "en-GB" should show up.

In the Safari browser on mobile devices, the tags in an HTML element are styled with the system's default styles. I want the text inside the tags to be displayed without line breaks. However, in reality, the text wraps according to its length. May I ask if there are any methods to achieve this? (ps: CSS-related properties such as white-space: nowrap do not work.)

The web page image is not fully displayed, only part of it is rendered. Switch the app to the background and then to the foreground, and the incomplete image will be rendered correctly again.

On iOS 18 only, I've been getting this error from the didFailToContinueUserActivityWithType in AppDelegate, the activity needed for universal links. It didn't happen on previous versions of it. Has anyone encountered this ?

We're using the PaymentRequestAPI, and to my surprise I see that if we open the payment dialog then don't interact with it - biometrics to approve or cancel/X button - it sits there open indefinitely. Is there any way to tell it to only sit there for some limited time period before canceling?

When a tab goes to sleep, all its resources gets killed. When the user has any interaction it gets active again. However, if there is an audio in the tab, it does not play again even after user interaction. One has to reload/reopen the tab. Is this how it should work? Is there a fix for this?

Hi everyone, We're facing a challenge with Apple's WKWebView and its WKAppBoundDomains limit. Our web app is hosted across multiple dedicated domains to ensure security and isolation for our customers. Additionally, we rely on a service worker to provide offline functionality within our app. To enable the service worker in our WebView app, we must specify the domains within the app-bound domains list. The issue we're encountering is the 10-domain limit, which is restrictive since our app needs to support access to more than 10 domains. Has anyone found a workaround for this limitation? Or does Apple provide any exceptions to this rule if a strong case is presented? We’d greatly appreciate any insights or experiences you can share. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I am studying a possible scenario. Let's say I create an App Clip that features a WKWebView. The WKWebView hosts a sort of webapp that uses local storage and IndexDB. When the complete app is installed, are the data persisted so the WKWebView of the complete app finds them as it was reading them before? Are the data transferred by the operating system to a new location but still accessed the same way by the WKWebView (Or even the location is the same because it is the WKWebView special storage)? My website ccflood.us is a simple map that uses a CSV file for the data that is displayed on the map. It uses the ESRI JS API. Recently the points on the map began missing the text in the boxes only on Apple devices that have been upgraded to iOS 18. Has anyone also had this happen to their site? If you have upgraded to iOS 18, try this site on your iPhone then look at it on an Android phone or your desktop browser. You should seet the values in the boxes and a "+" at points that have no value. If you've had this happen with your site or have heard of a fix, please reply to this post.

I'm building a macOS Google Chrome extension. I need to be able to send messages from the Chrome extension to the macOS app What's the set up flow? I've heard about native messaging, but I struggle to implement it. I've heard about XPC, but not sure JS can send messages to a macOS XPC service.

When a DNR rule is set for a specific URL and the request receives a server-side redirect (e.g., 302) to a different URL that does not match the urlFilter, the rule still seems to apply to the redirected request. We are using macOS 15.4 and Safari 18.4. For example, consider two sequential calls: call1 and call2. call1 triggers a 302 redirect to call2. A DNR rule is created to add a "Cookie" header to call1 based on its URL. Unexpectedly, the same cookie is also added to call2, even though call2's URL does not match the rule's urlFilter. This results in the Set-Cookie response from call1 being ignored, and call2 receiving the manually set cookie instead—leading to incorrect behavior. This issue doesn't occur in Chrome or Firefox, where the rule is not applied to the redirected request if the URL no longer matches. We are looking for assistance in fixing these issues and having our Safari Extension function the same as it does in Firefox and Chrome.

I have a local HTML file used to display mixed content with images and text. Here's the issue: the same file displays everything correctly in Google Chrome, showing both images and text as expected. However, when opened in Safari, only the text is shown—images are missing, which is very strange. Interestingly, if I remove .png from the title attribute of the tag, the images show up properly in Safari. Alternatively, if I comment out the inclusion of html2canvas.min.js, the images also display correctly (although the layout breaks without it). I'm not sure if this is a Safari-specific issue. Can anyone explain what might be causing this problem?
