RoomCaptureView runs on the latest system with a serious bug causing errors

Custom Material half visible..?
I'm currently implementing 180° / 360° immersive video for my app. I easily implemented 360° by just applying VideoMaterial to flipped sphere. But I'm stuck at 180°. I'm trying to implement by applying VideoMaterial to hemisphere (half sphere). I want to make VideoMaterial to be visible half front sphere and half back sphere transparent / clear. Would there be any advice / information / idea to implement this? Your help would be grateful.

How to implement the semi-transparent overlay effect in Immersive View?
I noticed that when I drag the menu window in an Immersive View, the entities behind it becomes semi-transparent, and the boundary between virtual and real-world objects is very pronounced. May I ask how does VisionOS implement this effect? Is there any API or technique I can use in my own code to enable the same semi-transparent overlay - even when I am not dragging the menu window?

ManipulationComponent in both parent and child entities
Hello, In my project, I have attached a ManipulationComponent to Entity A and as expected, I'm able interact with it using the built-in gestures. I have another Entity B which is a child of A that I would like to interact with as well, so I attempted to add a ManipulationComponent to B. However, no gestures seem to be registered on B; I can still interact with A but B cannot be interacted with despite having ManipulationComponents on both entities. So I'm wondering if I'm just doing something wrong, if this is an issue with the ManipulationComponent, or if this is a limitation of the API. Building a Full Space app that enables sharing a visionOS experience with nearby users.
Hello, I am currently considering developing a Full Space app that enables a shared visionOS experience with nearby users. Intended Features A Mixed Full Space app in which dozens of 3D models are placed in the space. These 3D models may play embedded animations when tapped, be programmatically moved or rotated, or be controlled via Reality Composer Pro timelines. The app also includes audio, spatial audio, videos with audio, and videos without audio, which are rendered as VideoTextures on planes and played back in the space. Some media elements play automatically, while others are triggered by user interaction. However, it is unclear whether AVPlaybackCoordinator supports shared playback across multiple types of media, such as: audio only spatial audio video without audio video with audio I am also unsure whether there are alternative or recommended approaches for synchronizing playback in this scenario. Questions Is it technically possible to implement the experience described above using visionOS? Are there any important implementation considerations or limitations that should be taken into account? For example, when two participants experience the app simultaneously, how is the content positioned for each participant? Is the spatial placement of content shared across participants, or is it positioned relative to each participant’s viewpoint? For nearby participants, is it necessary to register a spatial Persona? My understanding is that spatial Personas are not visible for nearby users during the experience; is this correct? When experiencing SharePlay with nearby users, is it possible to share the experience without registering the other participant’s contact information? I built apple.PHASE with Unity and targeted with visionOS, but Reverb does not sound.
Environment Versions ・macOS15.6.1 ・visionOS26.0.1 ・Xcode16.1 or 26.0.1 ・unity6000.2.9f1 ・Apple.core3.2.0 ・Apple.PHASE1.2.7 ・polyspatial2.4.2 With the above environment, after installing Apple.PHASE into unity and building to a visionOS device, Audio is available and distance attention works, but Early Reflection and Late Reverb produce no audible change even when checked and their parameters are adjusted. What is required to make Early Reflection and Late Reverb take effect on a visionOS device build? action taken ・created a SoundEvent. ・in composer, created a Sampler and a SpatialMixer; attached an AudioClip to the Sampler; enabled Direct Path, Early Reflection, and Late Reverb on the SpatialMixer. ・attached a PHASE Source to the object to be played, attached the created SoundEvent to it, and set non-zero values for Early Reflection and Late Reverb. ・attached a PHASE Listener to the mainCamera and set the ReverbPreset to a value other than None. ・in project settings > Audio, set Spatializer plugin to PHASE Spatializer. ・from there, build for visionOS.

Using AVAsynchronousKeyValueLoading.load() on an AVAssetTrack gives an error
I'm seeing this error while attempting to compile my VisionOS app under Xcode 26. How to make .blur(radius:) visually affect RealityView content?
According to the official documentation, the .blur(radius:) modifier could apply gaussian blur to a realityview. However, when applied directly to a RealityView, nothing inside it (neither 2D attachments nor 3D entities) appears to be blurred. How to get the transform of the joint in a skeleton when it is Animating
I have an entity that was created using Mixamo, and it has an animation. after the animation completes the mesh of the robot is not where the entity is positioned. I want to do something like when the animation finishes, I set the root entity's transform to the mesh's transform. There are no transformations applied to any of the children of this root of the model, which means that the transformations are applied to the skeleton due the the playing of animations. Is there a way where I can apply the final position of the root of the skeleton to the root entity to make sure to position the entity where the animation has ended just before the next animation plays?

white gap between objects in RealityView
I want to display a huge image in RealityView in 3d space on Vision Pro. of course instead of one giant file I'm using a lot of big images. to achieve this, I'm generating multiple planes exactly beside each others and put each image on them. although the planes are exactly beside each others but there is still a white gap between them.(image below) **Does anybody know how to fix this issue? **

How to configure Spatial Audio on a Video Material?, Compile error.
I've tried following apple's documentation to apply a video material on a Model Entity, but I have encountered a compile error while attempting to specify the Spatial Audio type. It is a 360 video on a Sphere which plays just fine, but the audio is too quiet compared to the volume I get when I preview the video on Xcode. So I tried tried to configure audio playback mode on the material but it gives me a compile error: "audioInputMode' is unavailable in visionOS audioInputMode' has been explicitly marked unavailable here RealityFoundation.VideoPlaybackController.audioInputMode)" https://developer.apple.com/documentation/realitykit/videomaterial/ Code: let player = AVPlayer(url: url) // Instantiate and configure the video material. let material = VideoMaterial(avPlayer: player) // Configure audio playback mode. material.controller.audioInputMode = .spatial // this line won’t compile. visionOS 26 - Rendering Issues related to Transparency
Summary After updating to visionOS 26, we’ve encountered severe transparency rendering issues in RealityKit that did not exist in visionOS 2.6 and earlier. These regressions affect applications that dynamically control scene opacity (via OpacityComponent). Our app renders ultra-realistic apartment environments in real time, where users can walk or teleport inside 3D spaces. When the user moves above a speed threshold, we apply a global transparency effect to prevent physical collisions with real-world objects. Everything worked perfectly in visionOS 2.6 — the problems appeared only after upgrading to 26. Scene Setup Overview The environment consists of multiple USDZ models (e.g., architecture, rooms, furniture). We manage LODs manually for performance (e.g., walls and floors always visible in full-res, while rooms swap between low/high-res versions based on user position and field of view). Transparency is achieved using OpacityComponent, applied dynamically when the user moves. Some meshes (e.g., portals to skyboxes, glass windows) use alpha materials We also use OcclusionMaterials to prevent things to be seen through walls when scene is transparent Observed Behavior by Scenario (I can share a video showing the results of each scenario if needed.) Scenario 1 — Severe Flickering (Root Opacity) Setup: OpacityComponent applied to the root entity NO ModelSortGroupComponent used Symptoms: Strong flickering when transparency is active Triangles within the same mesh render at inconsistent opacity levels Appears as if per-triangle alpha sorting is broken Workaround: Moving the OpacityComponent from the root to each individual USDZ entity removes the per-triangle flicker Pros: No conflicts with portals or alpha materials Scenario 2 — Partially Stable, But Alpha Conflicts Setup: OpacityComponent applied per USDZ entity ModelSortGroupComponent(planarUIAlwaysBehind) applied to portal meshes Other entities have NO ModelSortGroupComponent Symptoms: Frequent alpha blending conflicts: Transparent surfaces behind other transparent surfaces flicker or disappear Example: Wine glasses behind glass doors — sometimes neither is rendered, or only one Even opaque meshes behind glass flicker due to depth buffer confusion Alpha materials sometimes render portals or the real world behind them, ignoring other geometry entirely Analysis: Appears related to internal changes in alpha sorting or depth pre-pass behavior introduced in visionOS 26 Pros: Most stable setup so far Cons: Still unreliable when OpacityComponent is active Scenario 3 — Layer Separation Attempt (Regression) Setup: Same as Scenario 2, but: Entities with alpha materials moved to separate USDZs Explicit ModelSortGroupComponent order set (alpha surfaces rendered last) Symptoms: Transparent surfaces behind other transparent surfaces flicker or disappear Depth is completely broken when there's a large transparent surface Alpha materials sometimes render portals or the real world behind them, ignoring other geometry entirely Workaround Attempt: Re-ordering and further separating models did not solve it Pros: None — this setup makes transparency unusable Conclusion There appears to be a regression in RealityKit’s handling of transparency and sorting in visionOS 26, particularly when: OpacityComponent is applied dynamically, and Scenes rely on multiple overlapping transparent materials. These issues did not exist prior to 26, and the same project (no code changes) behaves correctly on previous versions. Creating a voxel mesh and render it using metal within a RealityKit ImmersiveView
Hi everyone, I'm creating an educational App that allows doing computational design in an immersive environment with the Vision Pro. The App is free and can be found here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/arcade-topology/id6742103633 The problem I have is that the mesh of voxels I currently create use ModelEntity and I recently read that this is horrible for scalability. I already start to see issues when I try to use thousands of voxels. I also read somewhere that I should then take advantage of GPUs and use metal to that end. I was wondering if someone could point me to a tutorial or article that discusses this. In essence, I need to create a 3D voxel mesh, and those voxels have to update their opacity within an iterative loop. Thanks! —Alejandro

Is it possible to live render CMTaggedBuffer / MV-HEVC frames in visionOS?
Hey all, I'm working on a visionOS app that captures live frames from the left and right cameras of Apple Vision Pro using cameraFrame.sample(for: .left/.right). I’d like to create a true stereoscopic (spatial) live video preview, not just render two images side-by-side. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Custom Material half visible..?
I'm currently implementing 180° / 360° immersive video for my app. I easily implemented 360° by just applying VideoMaterial to flipped sphere. But I'm stuck at 180°. I'm trying to implement by applying VideoMaterial to hemisphere (half sphere). I want to make VideoMaterial to be visible half front sphere and half back sphere transparent / clear. Would there be any advice / information / idea to implement this? Your help would be grateful.

How to implement the semi-transparent overlay effect in Immersive View?
I noticed that when I drag the menu window in an Immersive View, the entities behind it becomes semi-transparent, and the boundary between virtual and real-world objects is very pronounced. May I ask how does VisionOS implement this effect? Is there any API or technique I can use in my own code to enable the same semi-transparent overlay - even when I am not dragging the menu window?

ManipulationComponent in both parent and child entities
Hello, In my project, I have attached a ManipulationComponent to Entity A and as expected, I'm able interact with it using the built-in gestures. I have another Entity B which is a child of A that I would like to interact with as well, so I attempted to add a ManipulationComponent to B. However, no gestures seem to be registered on B; I can still interact with A but B cannot be interacted with despite having ManipulationComponents on both entities. So I'm wondering if I'm just doing something wrong, if this is an issue with the ManipulationComponent, or if this is a limitation of the API. Building a Full Space app that enables sharing a visionOS experience with nearby users.
Hello, I am currently considering developing a Full Space app that enables a shared visionOS experience with nearby users. Intended Features A Mixed Full Space app in which dozens of 3D models are placed in the space. These 3D models may play embedded animations when tapped, be programmatically moved or rotated, or be controlled via Reality Composer Pro timelines. The app also includes audio, spatial audio, videos with audio, and videos without audio, which are rendered as VideoTextures on planes and played back in the space. Some media elements play automatically, while others are triggered by user interaction. However, it is unclear whether AVPlaybackCoordinator supports shared playback across multiple types of media, such as: audio only spatial audio video without audio video with audio I am also unsure whether there are alternative or recommended approaches for synchronizing playback in this scenario. Questions Is it technically possible to implement the experience described above using visionOS? Are there any important implementation considerations or limitations that should be taken into account? For example, when two participants experience the app simultaneously, how is the content positioned for each participant? Is the spatial placement of content shared across participants, or is it positioned relative to each participant’s viewpoint? For nearby participants, is it necessary to register a spatial Persona? My understanding is that spatial Personas are not visible for nearby users during the experience; is this correct? When experiencing SharePlay with nearby users, is it possible to share the experience without registering the other participant’s contact information? I built apple.PHASE with Unity and targeted with visionOS, but Reverb does not sound.
Environment Versions ・macOS15.6.1 ・visionOS26.0.1 ・Xcode16.1 or 26.0.1 ・unity6000.2.9f1 ・Apple.core3.2.0 ・Apple.PHASE1.2.7 ・polyspatial2.4.2 With the above environment, after installing Apple.PHASE into unity and building to a visionOS device, Audio is available and distance attention works, but Early Reflection and Late Reverb produce no audible change even when checked and their parameters are adjusted. What is required to make Early Reflection and Late Reverb take effect on a visionOS device build? action taken ・created a SoundEvent. ・in composer, created a Sampler and a SpatialMixer; attached an AudioClip to the Sampler; enabled Direct Path, Early Reflection, and Late Reverb on the SpatialMixer. ・attached a PHASE Source to the object to be played, attached the created SoundEvent to it, and set non-zero values for Early Reflection and Late Reverb. ・attached a PHASE Listener to the mainCamera and set the ReverbPreset to a value other than None. ・in project settings > Audio, set Spatializer plugin to PHASE Spatializer. ・from there, build for visionOS.

Using AVAsynchronousKeyValueLoading.load() on an AVAssetTrack gives an error
I'm seeing this error while attempting to compile my VisionOS app under Xcode 26. How to make .blur(radius:) visually affect RealityView content?
According to the official documentation, the .blur(radius:) modifier could apply gaussian blur to a realityview. However, when applied directly to a RealityView, nothing inside it (neither 2D attachments nor 3D entities) appears to be blurred. How to get the transform of the joint in a skeleton when it is Animating
I have an entity that was created using Mixamo, and it has an animation. after the animation completes the mesh of the robot is not where the entity is positioned. I want to do something like when the animation finishes, I set the root entity's transform to the mesh's transform. There are no transformations applied to any of the children of this root of the model, which means that the transformations are applied to the skeleton due the the playing of animations. Is there a way where I can apply the final position of the root of the skeleton to the root entity to make sure to position the entity where the animation has ended just before the next animation plays?

white gap between objects in RealityView
I want to display a huge image in RealityView in 3d space on Vision Pro. of course instead of one giant file I'm using a lot of big images. to achieve this, I'm generating multiple planes exactly beside each others and put each image on them. although the planes are exactly beside each others but there is still a white gap between them.(image below) **Does anybody know how to fix this issue? **

How to configure Spatial Audio on a Video Material?, Compile error.
I've tried following apple's documentation to apply a video material on a Model Entity, but I have encountered a compile error while attempting to specify the Spatial Audio type. It is a 360 video on a Sphere which plays just fine, but the audio is too quiet compared to the volume I get when I preview the video on Xcode. So I tried tried to configure audio playback mode on the material but it gives me a compile error: "audioInputMode' is unavailable in visionOS audioInputMode' has been explicitly marked unavailable here RealityFoundation.VideoPlaybackController.audioInputMode)" https://developer.apple.com/documentation/realitykit/videomaterial/ Code: let player = AVPlayer(url: url) // Instantiate and configure the video material. let material = VideoMaterial(avPlayer: player) // Configure audio playback mode. material.controller.audioInputMode = .spatial // this line won’t compile. visionOS 26 - Rendering Issues related to Transparency
Summary After updating to visionOS 26, we’ve encountered severe transparency rendering issues in RealityKit that did not exist in visionOS 2.6 and earlier. These regressions affect applications that dynamically control scene opacity (via OpacityComponent). Our app renders ultra-realistic apartment environments in real time, where users can walk or teleport inside 3D spaces. When the user moves above a speed threshold, we apply a global transparency effect to prevent physical collisions with real-world objects. Everything worked perfectly in visionOS 2.6 — the problems appeared only after upgrading to 26. Scene Setup Overview The environment consists of multiple USDZ models (e.g., architecture, rooms, furniture). We manage LODs manually for performance (e.g., walls and floors always visible in full-res, while rooms swap between low/high-res versions based on user position and field of view). Transparency is achieved using OpacityComponent, applied dynamically when the user moves. Some meshes (e.g., portals to skyboxes, glass windows) use alpha materials We also use OcclusionMaterials to prevent things to be seen through walls when scene is transparent Observed Behavior by Scenario (I can share a video showing the results of each scenario if needed.) These issues did not exist prior to 26, and the same project (no code changes) behaves correctly on previous versions. Creating a voxel mesh and render it using metal within a RealityKit ImmersiveView
Hi everyone, I'm creating an educational App that allows doing computational design in an immersive environment with the Vision Pro. The App is free and can be found here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/arcade-topology/id6742103633 The problem I have is that the mesh of voxels I currently create use ModelEntity and I recently read that this is horrible for scalability. I already start to see issues when I try to use thousands of voxels. I also read somewhere that I should then take advantage of GPUs and use metal to that end. I was wondering if someone could point me to a tutorial or article that discusses this. In essence, I need to create a 3D voxel mesh, and those voxels have to update their opacity within an iterative loop. Thanks! —Alejandro

Is it possible to live render CMTaggedBuffer / MV-HEVC frames in visionOS?
Hey all, I'm working on a visionOS app that captures live frames from the left and right cameras of Apple Vision Pro using cameraFrame.sample(for: .left/.right). Apple provides documentation on encoding side-by-side frames into MV-HEVC spatial video using CMTaggedBuffer: Converting Side-by-Side 3D Video to MV-HEVC My question: Is there any way to render tagged frames (e.g. CMTaggedBuffer with .stereoView(.leftEye/.rightEye)) live, directly to a surface in RealityKit or Metal, without saving them to a file? I’d like to create a true stereoscopic (spatial) live video preview, not just render two images side-by-side. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
