Landscape safe area is incorrect when presenting SKStoreProductViewController
Hi. If the app is in landscape only and when the SKStoreProductViewController is presented, the safeArea changes to what looks like a portrait mode safe area. When the SKStoreProductViewController is dismissed, the safeArea does NOT revert back to the original values. Is there a way to force the safeArea to "reset"? I've submitted some bug tickets through Apple Feedback but I haven't received any response about it. The below code will pop up the SKStoreProductViewController and if you have a UIView that is constrained to the safe area, then you can visibly notice that the safe area is changed and doesn't go back. I have tested this on iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15, and iPhone 16 Pro and in the Simulators. The incorrect behavior happens on those and probably more. Not able to renew membership
You can still renew your membership within the next 8 days and your apps will remain available on the App Store during this time. Open the Apple Developer app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Sign in to your account, tap/click Renew, and follow the prompts. I'm getting this message but renew button is not visible in Developer App or on website. How to to renew?

Transaction ID Misassociation in IAP Subscription API
Dear Apple Support Team, Hello! I am currently developing the in-app subscription functionality using Apple IAP API and have encountered a serious technical issue while processing subscription data. I would like to report this issue to you. Issue Description: When calling the subscription API endpoint, the same OriginalTransactionId returns inconsistent results. Specifically, a particular transaction ID (let's call it TransactionId_A) should belong to the subscription order with OriginalTransactionId_A, but it is currently incorrectly associated with OriginalTransactionId_B. StoreKit beginRefundRequest issue
I'm developing storekitV2, my app is providing the way to refund some product, and I use method below. func beginRefundRequest(in scene: UIWindowScene) async throws -> Transaction.RefundRequestStatus however when i call the method, the modal view presented but the view shows error with message 'cannot connect'. when I select retry button, something done with indicator and get same result. how can I solve this problem?

Incorrect storefront country code
Both the legacy StoreKit API and the new StoreKit 2 API return the incorrect storefront countryCode. My actual Apple ID region is Germany, and my Sandbox test user is set to France, yet the SDK consistently returns USA. Expected Results: The returned storefront countryCode should reflect the correct region - sandbox user region if signed in and real user region if not signed in with sandbox). Actual Results: Returned country code is USA with both SKPaymentQueue.default().storefront?.countryCode and await Storefront.current?.countryCode. Signing out/in, device reboot and even reset do not help, I'm stuck with USA storefront.

Why Non-Consumable product has originalTransactionId?

Unknown Error when Trying to Add New Offer Codes
Hi there! Whenever I try to add a new Offer Code for my app's subscription, I get an unknown error. When I get to the last step of the "Create Offer for Codes" flow, I get an error that error reads "An error has occurred. Try again later." I have been getting this same error for over a week now, so any help figuring out how to add new offer codes would be greatly appreciated!

original_transaction_id associated to web_order_line_item_id of auto-renewable subscription changed
Our app offers auto-renewable subscriptions using StoreKit Original API for In-App Purchase and App Store Server Notifications V1. Starting around 2025-03-15, we found some cases where original_transaction_id which was associated to web_order_line_item_id of already purchased subscription had changed in the receipt information of verifyReceipt response or App Store Server Notifications V1. The detailed steps are: Around February 2025, re-purchase from the app the same subscription product which was canceled and expired some time ago, using StoreKit Original API for In-App Purchase Receive the following 2 notifications from App Store Server Notifications V1 almost at the same time INITIAL_BUY DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS In both notifications, latest_receipt_info contains the receipt for the re-purchased subscription period with new original_transaction_id and web_order_line_item_id pending_renewal_info contains both new original_transaction_id and original one which was generated at first purchase, and original one has "is_in_billing_retry_period": "1" Starting around 2025-03-15, the following happens When we receive another "DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS" notification from App Store Server Notifications V1, original_transaction_id which is associated to web_order_line_item_id of the re-purchased subscription period has changed back to the original one (the one which was generated at first purchase) in latest_receipt_info. When we call verifyReceipt with the receipt obtained from appStoreReceiptURL, the response does not seem to contain new original_transaction_id which was generated at re-purchase We have some questions regarding this original_transaction_id behavior. When a user re-purchase the same subscription product which was canceled and expired some time ago, it seems that new original_transaction_id is generated. Is this an expected behavior? If yes, it seems that, at some point, original_transaction_id which is associated to web_order_line_item_id of the re-purchased subscription changed back to the original original_transaction_id which had been generated at first purchase. Is this an expected behavior? What triggers the original_transaction_id change to the original one? Is it related to some user actions or subscription status change?

Storekit2 equivalent of SKPaymentTransactionObserver
We have implementend Storekit 2 in our app, for one time purchases and subscriptions, so it is iOS15 and higher only. Everything works fine, but now we want to add App Store promotions for our IAP's. That doesn't work because the App requires the app to implement SKPaymentTransactionObserver How to Promote Your In-App Purchases Make sure your app supports a delegate method in SKPaymentTransactionObserver. You can choose to customize which promoted in-app purchases a user sees on a specific device by implementing SKProductStorePromotionController. The problem is that this observer is part of the original Storekit API and not of the new one. What can we do to make this work with the new Storekit 2 API?

StoreKit2: appAccountToken in purchase() always returns first value instead of updated UUID
Hello, I’m experiencing an issue with StoreKit 2 when passing a new appAccountToken for each purchase request. Case-ID: 15948169 (for DTS reference) Description of the Problem When initiating a purchase, I generate a new UUID to use as the appAccountToken: let serverTransactionId = UUID() let options: Set<Product.PurchaseOption> = [ .appAccountToken(serverTransactionId) ] let result = try await product.purchase(options: options) Expected Behavior: Each new purchase should return the updated appAccountToken that I pass into the purchase options. Actual Behavior: The payload response after success always contains the same appAccountToken from the very first transaction. It ignores subsequent UUIDs I pass and keeps reusing the original one. This causes issues because the same identifier is being reused across multiple transactions, making it difficult to map purchases to the correct user session. Steps to Reproduce Generate a fresh UUID using UUID(). Pass it as .appAccountToken when calling purchase(). Complete the transaction in the sandbox environment. Inspect the payload response → The appAccountToken value is always the same as the first one used, not the newly provided one. Additional Info I do have a focused test project that reproduces this issue. The issue appears specific to appAccountToken persistence across multiple transactions. Has anyone else experienced this behavior with StoreKit 2? Is this expected (Apple caching the first token) or could this be a bug?

Unexpected notificationType in App Store Server Notifications V2 when free trial ends
In my app’s IAP products, before enabling free trials, the App Store Server Notifications V2 callbacks all returned the correct notificationType. For auto-renewable subscriptions, when they were about to expire, the notificationType was either DID_RENEW or EXPIRED. A small number of cases(DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW) failed to renew due to billing issues, which was expected. However, after I enabled a 7-day free trial for the auto-renewable products, I noticed that in the App Store Server Notifications V2 callbacks, almost all users (except those who manually turned off auto-renewal) received notificationType = DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW. According to the documentation, DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW indicates a billing issue renewal failure, but in this case it seems like all renewals are being marked as failed. I’ve observed that for users who cancel during the free trial, the callbacks look normal: first a DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS notification, then an EXPIRED notification when the trial ends. That flow seems correct. However, for users who do not cancel the trial, almost all callbacks show DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW. Does this mean every remaining user has a billing issue? I also noticed on the Developer Forums that other developers have reported the same issue — receiving a large number of DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW notifications specifically when free trials convert to paid subscriptions: https://developer.apple.com/forums/search?q=DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW Could someone clarify: under normal circumstances, when a free trial transitions to a paid subscription and fails, should the App Store Server Notifications V2 notificationType indeed be DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW, or should it be a different type(e.g. EXPIRED)? Moved my Project from iMac using macOS 13.6 to MacBook Air M1 using macOS 14.5
Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1005 "The network connection was lost Getting this error with: SKPaymentQueue.default().restoreCompletedTransactions() Implemented: func paymentQueue(_ queue: SKPaymentQueue, restoreCompletedTransactionsFailedWithError error: any Error) { <#code#> } Error returned is the 1005 error I listed above. The laptop works fine, it is connected to the internet just fine. The problem is connecting to the AppStore Simulator when the project target is intended for the Mac. I have an iOS project for this product and I do NOT get this problem with the transaction observer when the project target is iOS (iPhone, iPad). This problem only occurs on the M1 Laptop and the target is MacOS.

Does originalTransactionId change if a user resubscribes?
Hello, For In App Purchases with a renewable subscription, does the originalTransactionId change in the following scenarios? Case 1: A user subscribes to a subscription A within a Subscription Group SG1. The user then cancels it at the end of the month. Comes back later to subscribe to the same subscription A within the same Subscription Group SG1. Case 2: A user subscribes to a subscription A within a Subscription Group SG1. The user then cancels it at the end of the month. Comes back later to subscribe to subscription B within the same Subscription Group SG1.

StoreKit doesn't always work correctly in sandbox environment
There is an issue with StoreKit. The line let products = try await StoreKit.Product.products(for: ids) doesn't always work correctly. Sometimes it returns an array with the correct data, and sometimes it returns an empty array. I'm passing the correct ids to products(for:). This problem only occurs when using the sandbox environment (in TestFlight builds). In the App Store version, everything works fine. StoreKit configuration is none. All IAPs are approved. Everything was working fine before this. The problem was discovered on May 1, 2025.

In-app purchase for auto-renewals subscription for sandbox
Dear Apple Support Team, We are currently implementing auto-renewable subscriptions in our iOS app and are testing the integration using the sandbox environment. On the iOS app side, the in-app purchase flow completes successfully and displays a "Purchase Successful" message. However, we are not receiving any server notification callbacks on our configured App Store Server Notifications (Sandbox) webhook URL. For your reference, the webhook URL we have set in App Store Connect (Sandbox) is: https://9c0f-182-79-123-254.ngrok-free.app/ios/webhook Despite successfully completing a subscription purchase in the sandbox, there is no evidence that the webhook is being triggered. We would appreciate your guidance in resolving this issue or confirming if there are any additional configurations or steps required on our end.

Notification Received on Consumable Purchase
Hello, I am encountering an issue where I receive an App Store Server Notification V2 upon the purchase of a consumable item. I have configured the App Store Server Notification V2 endpoint to handle notifications related to subscription products. However, I did not expect to receive notifications for consumable purchases. The notification includes the following signedPayload decoded into the ResponseBodyV2DecodedPayload object with the following values: notificationUUID: 3cd6410b-0c89-4247-aba5-20710e79895e notificationType: null subtype: null The transaction information decoded from the ResponseBodyV2DecodedPayload object is as follows: transactionId: 2000000633622618 webOrderLineItemId: null productId: heart_2 To debug, I called the Get Notification History API of the App Store Server API, and the mentioned notification for the consumable product purchase is not included in the history. Only notifications related to subscription product purchases are retrieved. According to the notification type documentation, there is no explanation for cases where both notificationType and subtype are null, nor is there any mention of receiving notifications for consumable purchases. Therefore, I am uncertain how to interpret and handle this notification. Could you please provide an explanation or guidance on this issue? Thank you. can not verify receipt
I have three questions about verify receipt I use this api (https://buy.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt)to verify receipt is success or not. But since last month, this interface has started to return an error(21002). I see this document (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstorereceipts/verifyreceipt) say its Deprecated. My question is, is the error suddenly returned recently because the interface has been deprecated or for some other reason? (I haven't modified my code about this recently) I can not understand this document: (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstorereceipts/validating_receipts_on_the_device) Does this mean that in the new version, as long as the app returns a payment success (purchaseDetails.status == PurchaseStatus.purchased), the payment is guaranteed to be successful, and my server does not need to request payment result verification from Apple's server? Unable to Authenticate with App Store Server API in Production (401 Error)
Our application is currently under review, and we are still facing issues because we receive a 401 Unauthorized response from the App Store Connect API when using the production environment. Our app integrates with Chargebee for subscription management, and in production, Chargebee is unable to authenticate with the App Store Server API. This results in a 401 Unauthorized error, preventing the user’s subscription from being synced correctly into our system. Interestingly, the same configuration works in the sandbox environment, but fails in production. We’ve tried authenticating using JWTs generated from multiple keys (including App Store Connect API / Team Keys with both Admin and App Manager access, and also In-App Purchase keys), all with the same result — sandbox access works, production does not.
