App store payment screen not showing
Hello I am trying to add payments on my app. I have added all products I need in subscriptions. I also tried by using storekit but from my understanding testing with storekit is nothing to rely on. My app works on Android (with the same product IDs same unction call) iOS is not why is that?

StoreKit Subscription Fails to Load During App Review, Works in Sandbox/TestFlight
Hi everyone, I’m facing a recurring issue with my macOS app being rejected during App Store review, and I’d really appreciate any guidance. The subscription flow in my app is implemented using StoreKit, and everything works perfectly in our development environment using a StoreKit configuration file. It also behaves as expected in Sandbox testing and TestFlight — I even had few beta testers confirm that the subscription information is displayed correctly and the purchase flow completes without issues. All required subscription details are configured in App Store Connect: • Subscription duration and the description of the services offered • Price and price per unit where applicable • Paid apps agreement and related forms are correctly filled However, when the app is submitted for review, the subscription screen fails to display the expected information. From what I can tell, the product information fails to load from the App Store in the review environment — even though everything is working fine on our side. We’ve already submitted a video to Apple showing the subscription UI working in the Sandbox environment, but the app continues to be rejected under guideline 3.1.2 due to missing subscription info in the binary. Is anyone else experiencing similar behavior during review? Could there be a caching issue or delay in StoreKit syncing for newly configured products? Any help or suggestions are very welcome. Error setting install attribution pingback
Hi there, We have an app targeted for children and we want to use the SkAdNetwork to track installs for campaigns. We don't want to track further in-app events (purchase etc.), just the install event. We added the SDK to our Unity app, listed the network identifiers in the plist file, configured the external campaign according to their instructions, but struggle to see any events for several weeks now. We see the following logs in the app: Registering install attribution pingback. Failed to migrate Install Attribution database schema from 17001 => 17400. SkAdNetwork: No pingbacks found while attempting to register/update. Error setting install attribution pingback registered for app: 1509727806, error: Error Domain=ASDErrorDomain code=1208 How can we debug this further? What does the error mean? Thank you very much! Purchase Confirmation Letter
Hi all, I've received emails from other apps after making a purchase, with content like: You have purchased {App Name} on {Date & Time} and acknowledged that if you download or use this in-App Purchase within fourteen days of buying it, you will no longer be eligible to cancel this purchase. Do anyone know under what circumstances Apple sends a Purchase Confirmation Letter to the user's email after they purchase our digital products via IAP? Is this something developers can control? Additionally, I've seen pop-up reminders before making a payment in apps, with content similar to the above message. Are these reminders provided by Apple, or can developers create their own guidance to help users avoid accidental purchases? Kindly, Vanto

Adding In-App Purchase to app + review required?
I'm trying to understand the IAP development process. I created my first Product on App Store Connect and am trying to build my app to use it. However it keeps failing with "Invalid product ID.". From what I've read, this is because the product has not yet gone through review. But what I don't understand is, of course it hasn't gone through review yet, because trying to use it in any capacity fails, even though I'm using a real physical device and using a Sandbox User. Is this the correct workflow? It seems very backwards that I have to submit the product for review, even before I know how it's going to be used. I'm still building the screen for the product page, and haven't even started touching any backend APIs, yet it's asking for screenshots. Am I misunderstanding something here?

Revoked Non-Consumable Purchases & currentEntitlements
We use Transaction.currentEntitlements in StokeKit 2 to unlock functionality based on a Non-Consumable IAP but we have a case involving a refund that seems wrong and I am trying to understand the interation between transactionId, originalTransactionId & revocationReason. The Context: We have a universal App on macOS and iOS that offers a shared Non-Consumable IAP. For this example I have named it "app.lifetime" On macOS we use StoreKit 2 and I am calling the Transaction.currentEntitlements and Transaction.all functions. On iOS we are still using StoreKit 1. Looking at the iOS SK1 receipt data to compare, after a receipt refresh I see only a single transaction "...9955" which includes the cancellation info and transaction "...7511" is not present at all. The impact of this is that on iOS we are considering the purchase void but on macOS we are following currentEntitlements and consdering it still valid. Calling the inApps/v1/history/... server API with the "...7511" transactionId that is shown in the currentEntitlements response returns the "...9955" transaction with the correct revocation status but "...7511" is no returned at all. To Summarise: currentEntitlements on macOS shows transaction "...7511" as active and with an originalTransactionId of "...9955" all on macOS includes both "...7511" as active and "...9955" as revoked iOS reciept data shows only "...9955" as revoked Server API shows only "...9955" as revoked event when explicitly called with "...7511" Neither of them show a more recent purchase the same customer made for the same IAP product. My questions are: Is this a StoreKit bug or am I mis-understanding something? If it's a bug how can I work around it to ensure revoked purchases aren't still appearing in currentEntitlements? Under what conditions can StoreKit generate multiple transactionIds for the same underlying originalTransactionId? I had assumed (and the docs suggest) this only happens for subscriptions but here it is happening for a Non-Consumable IAP. Why would transactionId "...7511" only be present on macOS/SK2 and not visible at all on iOS/SK1 or API? I don't understand why the latest IAP from 2025-02-24 that the customer assures me they made (and has shown me the receipt for is not showing up in the Transactions history at all. Any ideas?

Hi all, I’m testing Subscription in my Flutter app on a real iOS device (iPhone 16 Pro with iOS 18) via TestFlight. I’ve set everything up as required, but I still get this error: flutter: Found products: [] If everything works perfectly when StoreKit configuration is used in Xcode, but not via TestFlight. All my Subscriptions are approved with the same ID.

Support Request: App Store Server Notification Inaccuracies
Unsure if this has been reported before, but I'm seeing a specific scenario where Apple is sending back faulty information in App Store Server Notifications. When users have payment failures that result in the membership expiring, and then reactivate later on with a different subscription, they are given a new originalTransactionId, yet we have three cases where we receive messages about the old originalTransactionId, indicating that after the user recovers their subscription, Apple is resurrecting the old subscription and treating it as if it is active BUT ultimately decides to deactivate it. Here is a sample screenshot of an impacted user. We only have three month and annual plans. Timeline: March 21st: This user signed up for a 3 Month Plan June 21st: This user fails to pay July 7th: After our 16 day grace period, this user loses access July 29th: This user sees they lost access and repurchase Augsut 19th: Their membership is deactivated (long before their 3 Month Subscription is up) For further verification I've also attached a record of all the payloads we've received from Apple for this user. App Store Server API JWT Authentication Issue
Issue Description I am experiencing persistent 401 Unauthorized errors when attempting to access the App Store Server API using JWT authentication. Despite following Apple's documentation and regenerating keys, I am unable to successfully authenticate. appTransactionID behavior on logout
The appTransactionID was recently introduced and is documented here: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/apptransaction/apptransactionid From the documentation: "The App Store generates a single, globally unique appTransactionID for each Apple Account that downloads your app and for each family group member for apps that support Family Sharing." This seems like a really useful identifier, so I was wondering about some edge cases of when using it: What happens if a user logs out of his AppStore account and keeps using the app? Is it available when the app is installed from Xcode? is it possible to set it to some value using StoreKit testing? Thanks

StoreKit 2: jwsRepresentation Validation, Rate-Limit Relief, and Send Consumption Info Effectiveness
Hi everyone, We operate an online game where all in-app assets are stored server-side and require a logged-in account (no device binding). I’d like guidance on four areas: Do we really need deviceVerification / deviceVerificationNonce? – Because every purchase is tied to an account and we enforce a global transactionId UNIQUE constraint, replay or cross-account reuse appears infeasible. Under these conditions, is omitting device verification acceptable, or are there situations where Apple still recommends it? Permanent rate-limit increase for the App Store Server API – During anniversary events we saw bursts of ~18 000 requests per hour, breaching the current hourly cap on the App Store Server API (verifyTransaction, getNotificationHistory, etc.). Is there a formal process to request a long-term rate-limit expansion (or an alternative tier) from Apple? When is an App Store Server API call required for a StoreKit 2 jwsRepresentation? Docs say “call the API if you’re unsure,” but there’s no clear cut-off. Because we fully validate the JWS signature plus the entire certificate chain (including CRL/OCSP checks) on our server, local cryptographic validation seems sufficient for consumables. For subscriptions we still plan to hit the API to fetch the latest status. Does this separation match Apple’s best practice? If Apple does recommend hitting the API for consumables as well, we’d like a concrete rule of thumb—e.g. “if the item price is USD 50 or higher, always use the API.” Is establishing such thresholds consistent with Apple’s intent? Refund-risk reduction from Send Consumption Info – Adapty reports a 40–60 % refund-rate drop for subscriptions when using Send Consumption Info (blog reference). Why can't the app get the subscription status occasionally?
Hi, I have developed an app which has two in-app purchase subscriptions. During the test, the app can successfully get the status of the subscriptions. After it's released, I downloaded it from app store and subscribed it with my apple account. I found that in most cases, the app can identify that I have subscribed it and I can use its all functions. But yesterday, when I launched it again, it showed the warning that I haven't subscribed it. I checked my subscription in my account and the subscription status hasn't been changed, that is, I have subscribed it. And after one hour, I launched it again. AppStore response times for the store test environment to make purchases is very long.
Currently, over the xcode environment to do the testing of product subscriptions through appstore are working correctly using the storeKit. When deployed in testflight to do the testing over the integration environment, the store response times are being excessively high, in excess of 20 minutes. This behavior is not replicated on Xcode, and is happening on recent versions uploaded to testflight, as earlier versions that were already tested and are currently in production. In addition the communication between the appstore webhook and the BE is also failing in this environment. It is being blocked to generate any test to be able to launch to production.

Validating Mac App Store purchase with StoreKit
For years I've been using Receigen for receipt verification for the Mac App Store build of my application. However, with the deprecation of exit code 173, I am moving to StoreKit-based verification and have a couple of questions. Even when exporting a new release build of my app and running it (without any _MASReceipt). When using exit code 173, an .app without a _MASReceipt would prompt for app store login. Nothing of the sort happens now. Am I misunderstanding the documentation / doing something wrong / missing something obvious?
