StoreKit 2 – IAP Subscriptions Not Appearing in Sandbox
I am experiencing an issue with my iOS app where StoreKit 2 in-app subscriptions are not appearing when using Product.products(for:). I have done all the necessary configurations, but the products still return an empty array ([]). Here are the details of my setup: • App ID / Bundle ID: com.tstore.vocabely • Product IDs: • com.tstore.vocabely.base • com.tstore.vocabely.pro • com.tstore.vocabely.ultimate • Paid Apps Agreement: Active • IAP Status in App Store Connect: Ready to Submit / Approved • Testing Environment: • Device: iPhone (real device) • iOS Version: [insert your iOS version] • Xcode Version: [insert your Xcode version] • Sandbox Tester Account used • Code Snippet: Using Product.products(for: productIDs) in StoreKitManager to fetch products I have verified: • Product IDs match exactly with App Store Connect • Paid Apps Agreement is Active • Using a real device, not a simulator • Sandbox account is properly signed in Despite all of this, fetchProducts() still returns an empty array. Could you please assist me in troubleshooting why my subscriptions are not appearing in the Sandbox environment? Thank you for your support.

Subscription Cancellation
Hi Team, I’ve successfully implemented the subscription flow for my app. However, I’m currently facing challenges related to testing the cancellation behavior for auto-renewable subscriptions. Specifically: I’m unable to locate the correct payload structure for the following test endpoint: https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/notifications/test I’m also unclear on how to simulate or complete the full lifecycle of a subscription (including cancellation) using Apple’s sandbox environment or APIs. Could you please guide me on how to: Retrieve or construct the proper payload for the test notification API? Simulate a cancellation flow end-to-end in the sandbox for auto-renewable subscriptions?

IAPs after rejection
Hi everyone, After my app was initially rejected, all my IAPs now show the status “Developer Action Needed.” There’s nothing I need to change on them — they were just returned because it was the first submission and the app itself was rejected. Do I need to do anything with the IAPs before I resubmit, or will they still be attached and reviewed automatically with the next binary? I’ve seen conflicting answers, so I’d like to confirm the correct process. Thanks, Cris

StoreKit 2 returns empty products array in TestFlight
I'm using StoreKit 2 with Product.products(for:) to fetch my auto-renewable subscriptions. It works in the Xcode simulator with a local StoreKit configuration file, but returns an empty array (no error) in TestFlight. iOS 15+, using async/await API Products are configured in App Store Connect Paid Apps agreement is active Sandbox tester account set up Has anyone experienced this? What am I missing?

Server-to-server notification received 2 days after subscription
One of our customers subscribed to a monthly plan on August 16 but the server-to-server notification seems to have been sent on August 18. What could be the reasons for such a delay between the purchase and the server-to-server notification which are usually sent right after the purchase? The receipt sent along with the notification seems to confirm that the receipt has only been created 2 days after the purchase. Here is an extract: { "environment": "Production", "receipt": { "receipt_type": "Production", "bundle_id": "fr.gaumontvideo.gaumontclassique", "application_version": "613", "receipt_creation_date": "2025-08-18 13:00:16 Etc/GMT", "receipt_creation_date_ms": "1755522016000", "receipt_creation_date_pst": "2025-08-18 06:00:16 America/Los_Angeles", "request_date": "2025-08-25 13:08:27 Etc/GMT", "request_date_ms": "1756127307346", "request_date_pst": "2025-08-25 06:08:27 America/Los_Angeles", "original_purchase_date": "2022-05-11 06:14:37 Etc/GMT", "original_purchase_date_ms": "1652249677000", "original_purchase_date_pst": "2022-05-10 23:14:37 America/Los_Angeles", "original_application_version": "265", "in_app": [ { "quantity": "1", "product_id": "fr.gaumontvideo.gaumontclassique.subscription.monthly.apple", "transaction_id": "270002386706194", "original_transaction_id": "270002386706194", "purchase_date": "2025-08-16 08:02:06 Etc/GMT", "purchase_date_ms": "1755331326000", "purchase_date_pst": "2025-08-16 01:02:06 America/Los_Angeles", "original_purchase_date": "2025-08-16 08:02:08 Etc/GMT", "original_purchase_date_ms": "1755331328000", "original_purchase_date_pst": "2025-08-16 01:02:08 America/Los_Angeles", "expires_date": "2025-09-16 08:02:06 Etc/GMT", "expires_date_ms": "1758009726000", "expires_date_pst": "2025-09-16 01:02:06 America/Los_Angeles" } }

An unrecognised subscription
Hello, I have a problem with a subscription: it is not recognised by my application (under TestFlight); it is as if it did not exist. I have two subscriptions in the same group, a premium subscription that works perfectly and a basic subscription that is not recognised. I have checked everything at least twenty times. Its status is ‘Ready to submit’. I asked GPT 5.1 and Claude AI, but clearly both of their AIs are out of date and are giving me an obsolete procedure with App Store Connect options that don't exist.

About review app and subscription
When submitting an app for review, will any unreviewed auto-renewing subscriptions within the app be reviewed simultaneously? I own an app that has passed review and offers an auto-renewing subscription A within the app that has also passed review. To test a new service, I plan to create a new auto-renewing subscription B, which I do not intend to submit for review. After creating Subscription B, I plan to submit the app for review as part of an app update. In that case, is there a possibility that Subscription B will also be reviewed?

expire test subscription immediately?
is there a way to make a test subscription in-app purchase expire immediately, for faster testing? it seems exceedingly complicated to test subscriptions if we have to a) wait until the next day for expiry, or b) keep on creating new apple ids to get into a fully unsubscribed state? it is still kind of madness testing this stuff, after all the years it has been available.

How to make StoreKit config & App Store Server notifications work together?
Hi, Using StoreKit 2 with App Store Server notifications like so: User selects a purchase App calls Product.purchase() If successful, App Store notifies our backend with the transaction details, importantly with a UUID for the transaction ID. This works fine, but when I try to test contingent pricing via the handy StoreKit config Transaction Manager in Xcode by creating a PurchaseIntent if I then complete the purchase in the app the Transaction ID is sequential, (0 for the first, 1 for the second etc), which doesn't work for us as the backend might already have that ID stored so the purchase never completes. If I disable the config file it works fine, but then I can't use the Transaction Manager debug tool. Is there a way to override the ID of a custom transaction that's created via the StoreKit configuration? Thanks

The property Product.displayPrice does not display the correct price
Hi, I'm new to AppStore Connect, and I'm learning how subscriptions work. I'm finalizing my first app, but on my TF, I'm having some issues with the price: it's always displayed in US dollars on my paywall. When I tap "subscribe," the Apple sheet correctly offers the price in euros. I'm using Product.displayPrice to display the price in my paywall. The documentation did mention it is The localized string representation of the product price, suitable for display. So, is it normal in my case for the price in dollars to be displayed and not the price in euros like the Apple sheet? Thank you in advance for your help.

Non-consumable IAP app rejected: Pro auto-unlocked for pre-1.0.5 paid users, App Review asks for expired subscription account
Hello everyone, I’m currently stuck in App Review and would appreciate input from anyone who has dealt with a similar situation. App setup iOS app, SwiftUI, StoreKit 2 No user accounts (no login, no username/password, no backend) No subscriptions Monetization model: App was paid before version 1.0.5 Since 1.0.5 the app is free Unlocking full functionality is done via a non-consumable, one-time IAP (“Pro Unlock”) Existing users who bought the app when it was paid are automatically granted Pro access New users get a 24-hour local trial, then must purchase the non-consumable IAP All state is local / device-based, no server There is no concept of an account, subscription renewal, or expired subscription in the app. Rejection from App Review Apple rejected the app with the following message: Guideline 2.1 – Information Needed We are not able to continue our review because we need access to a demo account with an expired subscription to review the entire purchase flow. Please provide a user name and password for a demo account with expired subscriptions in the App Review Information section of App Store Connect. This is where I’m confused. Why this doesn’t seem applicable The app does not use subscriptions The app does not have user accounts The IAP is non-consumable, one-time purchase Trials are not subscription-based and expire automatically on-device There is no “expired subscription account” that could exist technically StoreKit testing is done via sandbox Apple IDs, but those are: not app-level accounts not usernames/passwords inside the app only used in the Apple purchase sheet Additional complication Because old paid users are automatically recognized as “Pro” via AppTransaction.originalAppVersion, the Unlock Pro button is hidden once Pro is active. This means that on some devices (including mine), the purchase sheet never appears anymore because the app already considers the user entitled. This might be confusing App Review and causing them to assume the app uses subscriptions and gated accounts. Questions Has anyone seen App Review request a demo account with expired subscription for an app that uses only non-consumable IAPs? Is there a correct way to respond other than explicitly explaining that: there are no accounts there are no subscriptions StoreKit sandbox Apple IDs are sufficient? Would providing a sandbox Apple ID (clearly labeled as such) help, or is that inappropriate since Apple reviewers already have sandbox accounts? Is this likely just a misclassification by App Review, or is there something in Apple’s guidelines that I’m missing? What I’ve already tried Explained the purchase flow step-by-step in App Review notes Clarified that the Paid Apps Agreement is already accepted Clarified that Pro access is automatically granted to previous paid users Verified that the IAP is correctly configured and available in App Store Connect At this point I’m unsure whether I should: escalate / push back on the incorrect assumption, or modify the UI to make the purchase path permanently visible even for entitled users Any insight from people who have gone through similar review issues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Subscription upgrade during trial with a pending crossgrade: does remaining trial time get forfeited and is the prior plan refunded?
I’m implementing subscriptions and running tests, and I noticed a behavior I’d like to confirm. Plans in the app Basic — Monthly Basic — Annual Premium — Monthly Premium — Annual Test environment Sandbox (where ~1 day ≈ under 1 minute of real time) steps Start Basic (Monthly) using an introductory offer (free trial). Create a crossgrade to Basic (Annual) (scheduled/queued). After receiving a RENEWAL App Store Server Notification indicating the plan will move from trial to paid Basic (Annual), but before the trial actually expires, upgrade the user to Premium (Monthly). Observed behavior (Sandbox) & questions Even though there is still up to ~1 day of trial remaining (≈ under 1 minute in Sandbox), upgrading to Premium (Monthly) immediately ends the trial and activates the paid Premium plan right away. Will this same behavior occur in Production? If yes, is this the expected/acceptable behavior when upgrading during an active trial after a pending crossgrade? Note: If we upgrade to Premium before the RENEWAL notification arrives, the remaining trial time is carried over in our tests. In this flow, we see a RENEWAL notification for Basic (Annual) (moving from trial → paid), but then the user immediately upgrades to Premium (Monthly) and the trial ends at that moment. In Production, would the charge for Basic (Annual) be refunded automatically since the user effectively switches to Premium immediately (and Basic Annual does not remain active)? In Sandbox there’s no real charge, but I want to ensure we won’t see a situation in Production where Basic (Annual) is billed and not refunded, even though the subscription effectively moved to Premium right away. Thanks in advance!

Unexpected notificationType in App Store Server Notifications V2 when free trial ends
In my app’s IAP products, before enabling free trials, the App Store Server Notifications V2 callbacks all returned the correct notificationType. For auto-renewable subscriptions, when they were about to expire, the notificationType was either DID_RENEW or EXPIRED. A small number of cases(DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW) failed to renew due to billing issues, which was expected. However, after I enabled a 7-day free trial for the auto-renewable products, I noticed that in the App Store Server Notifications V2 callbacks, almost all users (except those who manually turned off auto-renewal) received notificationType = DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW. According to the documentation, DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW indicates a billing issue renewal failure, but in this case it seems like all renewals are being marked as failed. I’ve observed that for users who cancel during the free trial, the callbacks look normal: first a DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_STATUS notification, then an EXPIRED notification when the trial ends. That flow seems correct. However, for users who do not cancel the trial, almost all callbacks show DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW. Does this mean every remaining user has a billing issue? I also noticed on the Developer Forums that other developers have reported the same issue — receiving a large number of DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW notifications specifically when free trials convert to paid subscriptions: https://developer.apple.com/forums/search?q=DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW Could someone clarify: under normal circumstances, when a free trial transitions to a paid subscription and fails, should the App Store Server Notifications V2 notificationType indeed be DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW, or should it be a different type(e.g. EXPIRED)? And is it expected behavior that almost all free trial conversions return DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW?

ExternalPurchase.presentNoticeSheet returns only cancelled in App Store version
Hello, Our app has been released in Korea with an external payment feature. The function that must display the required modal for external payments is as follows: let result = try await ExternalPurchase.presentNoticeSheet() guard result != .cancelled else { return } However, while testing in the development environment, the API returns a result of continuedWithExternalPurchaseToken(token: String), but in the version distributed through the App Store, it returns cancelled. We would like to know how we can receive the continuedWithExternalPurchaseToken result in the App Store version. Thank you for your guidance. If anyone here has experienced a similar issue or found a solution, I would greatly appreciate your insights as well.

Advanced Commerce API – 5000000 "Unknown error" when calling Migrate API
We've been approved for the Advanced Commerce API. After receiving the approval, we completed the initial setup requirements (submitted a generic product ID and shared our subscriptions page deep link). When testing the Migrate Subscription to Advanced Commerce endpoint in the sandbox, we receive a 5000000 error. What could be the reason/s for it? There is no information, and the API call we make includes all required parameters. Could it be related to the fact that our new generic product ID status is "Missing Metadata"? Is there a way to understand what the issue is on Apple's side?
