FamilyActivityPicker Crashing / Freezing
Our users report frequent crashes with the FamilyActivityPicker. Since this is a screen controlled by Apple, I'm assuming that there's nothing I can do to prevent these crashes. I'm wondering, though, if there's any way to gracefully handle these crashes? When this happens, the following is printed to the console: [com.apple.FamilyControls.ActivityPickerExtension(1121)] Connection to plugin invalidated while in use. Does anyone know how to handle/catch this error?

Not able to renew membership
You can still renew your membership within the next 8 days and your apps will remain available on the App Store during this time. Open the Apple Developer app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Sign in to your account, tap/click Renew, and follow the prompts. I'm getting this message but renew button is not visible in Developer App or on website. How to to renew?

AppClip is Unavailable
I published my app clip last year in the App Store. I can successfully open my app clip in iMessage or via link URL. but scanning the QR code of the very same URL leads to the "app clip is unavailable" error, in this case, I can see my application name and banner correctly. Any Idea why?

Tap to Pay capabilities are enable and I can use in development profile but I cannot make build that I can upload on TestFlight using the distribution profile because during create build I am getting "Provisioning profile doesn't support the Tap to Pay on iPhone capability." this should be working because I checked twice that distribution profile and certificate have this capability and added in Xcode. how can I resolve this mismatched profile issue I am using Xcode - 15.0.1

Sharing a JPEG via Action or Share Extension fails in Photos on macOS
We have a Share Extension that fails in Photos on macOS when trying to share a JPEG image for the following reason: From the NSItemProvider we get from the NSExtensionItem.attachments, we try to load the image using loadFileRepresentation(forTypeIdentifier: “public.image”, completionHandler: …). This fails for .jpeg images in the library. There seems to be a mismatch in expected and actual file extension internally. Here is the log: Error copying file type public.image. Error: Error Domain=NSItemProviderErrorDomain Code=-1000 "Cannot load representation of type public.jpeg" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Cannot load representation of type public.jpeg, NSUnderlyingError=0x1527c1a80 {Error Domain=NSItemProviderErrorDomain Code=-1 "Cannot copy file at URL file:///Users/frank/Library/Containers/com.apple.Photos/Data/tmp/TemporaryItems/ShareKit-Exports/7CCFA760-AAC9-42B0-812D-68F051ED1543/F912E593-2BE5-4E70-86AB-7657A40657E5/IMG_3517.jpg." UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Cannot copy file at URL file:///Users/frank/Library/Containers/com.apple.Photos/Data/tmp/TemporaryItems/ShareKit-Exports/7CCFA760-AAC9-42B0-812D-68F051ED1543/F912E593-2BE5-4E70-86AB-7657A40657E5/IMG_3517.jpg., NSUnderlyingError=0x152789670 {Error Domain=NSItemProviderErrorDomain Code=-1 "Cannot create a temporary file. Error: Undefined error: 0}}}}}``` In the specified folder, there is an image, however, it’s named IMG_3517.jpeg, not IMG_3517.jpg. This seems to be a bug in Photo’s item provider implementation. If we use loadObject(ofClass: URL.self, completionHandler: …) instead, we get the correct .jpeg URL in the completion handler.

watchOS 10.2 Bluetooth in the background often disconnects
My watch APP needs to keep Bluetooth connected with peripherals whether it is in the foreground or background, but the results of my test show that the connection in the background is very unstable, sometimes you can keep the Bluetooth on for a day, but sometimes it will be disconnected 50 times a day, and every time it is disconnected, I will immediately initiate a reconnection, it is certain that there is no problem with the peripheral Bluetooth, because I have another iOS device that has been stably connected to the peripheral, I want to know what causes this instability, and if there is any solution, if someone can provide relevant advice, I will be very grateful

AppShortcutsProvider triggered for unsupported OS
Hi! I have an AppShortcutsProvider that has been marked @available(iOS 17.0, *), because all Intents used within it are only available in iOS 17. So the static var appShortcuts should only be accessible in iOS 17, obviously. Now this code has been released and works fine for iOS 17 users. Working around the lack of USB FTDI
I'm working on hardware that communicates wireless and wired with mobile systems. Anything non-i[Pad]OS we can connect via USB and achieve great bandwidth, in situations where this is necessary. Since i[pad]OS does not support FTDI class compliant devices through USB (and also omits the IOUSB framework), I wonder whether we have a way to "work around" this, e.g. how about (ab)using another protocol that i[pad]OS allows? Concretely, would you think it's possible to tunnel our serial data stream via USBHID?

App Clip Unavailable
I have published the app on the App Store along with its corresponding app clip, my app clip is configured with some advanced experiences for each one of my clients, but whenever some users try to scan an NFC or QR Code they see the card rendering correctly with their configured banner image, but with the message "App Clip Unavailable". The weird thing is that both iMessage and the website to which the associated domain is set and the apple-app-site-association is stored, renders the banner or card correctly, and when the users tap the banner or card they open the advanced app clip experience correctly without any issue. I have attempted to troubleshoot the issue by checking the following: if the app clip is below 15MB if we are using a second level domain in my associated domain both for my app clip and app (excluding the www subdomain). checking if the AASA is correctly stored inside .well-known directory checking the configuration for the advanced experience I opened a case: 102233443873, and added a bunch of videos and screenshot showcasing the issue, but I have not yet received a reply

Bluetooth Connectivity Issues
Since 17.4 Dev Beta 2, I have been having Bluetooth issues. I had hoped it would have cleared up but even in 17.4.1 it continues. Airpod and Echo Auto are the only 2 audio devices I have. The audio will become chopping, rubber band or sound robotic and sometime completely disconnect. While driving it will occur on both audio devices. Sometimes I'm stopped at red light and the issue occurs. The phone is less than 3 feet from the device at all times. I have read forums and removed and readded the devices but that did not help. I really do not want to have to reset my phone since my 2FA apps do not recover in a restore. Anyone have any suggestions?

After unholding CallKit, the audio does not restore.
In my application, I use CallKit and have supportsHolding = true set. During my phone call, another call comes in (e.g., GSM). I accept the incoming call and put the current call on hold. If I end the active call myself, everything is fine, and CallKit calls the method provider(_ provider: CXProvider, didActivate audioSession: AVAudioSession). However, if the other party ends the call, the second call remains on hold. In the application, the user clicks on unhold, and I notify CallKit that the hold has ended. But in this case, the didActivate method is not called at all. If I try to activate the audio myself after unhold, I receive the error: Domain=NSOSStatusErrorDomain Code=561017449 "Session activation failed" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Session activation failed} AVAudioSessionErrorInsufficientPriority == NSOSStatusErrorDomain Code: 561017449 What needs to be done for CallKit to activate my audio?

Device Activity Reports are returning a blank screen in release mode
There is an inconsistent issue when views are rendered from the Device Activity Report Extension. This issue is noticeable only on release versions and it works fine in debug mode. Around 80% of the times, the Report Views return blank screen and this is only the case when a weekly/monthly filter is used. Although, it works as expected for daily report views. My questions are: How are all the Report Activity Views working fine in debug mode but not in release mode? How the daily activity filter works fine in the release mode but the weekly/monthly filters don't work? Is this because of a memory limit issue in the extension? As of now, I have the family-controls(distribution) entitlement only for the app and for the extensions I only have family-controls(development) entitlement. Do I need to request for family-controls(Distribution) entitlement even for the extensions? I have seen threads on the forum mentioning the blank screen issue associated with the DeviceActivityReport but haven't found a solution to it. Any suggestions/feedback would be of great help, thanks.

MFMailComposeViewController in visionOS does not have a cancel button
When i use the MFMailComposeViewController in visionOS, there is no cancel button for the controller. The button at the bottom closes the app. Is anyone else experiencing this? if([MFMailComposeViewController canSendMail]) { MFMailComposeViewController* controller = [[MFMailComposeViewController alloc] init]; controller.mailComposeDelegate = (id <MFMailComposeViewControllerDelegate>)view; [controller setToRecipients:toAddresses]; [controller setSubject:subject]; [controller setMessageBody:body isHTML:isHtml]; [view presentViewController:controller animated:YES completion:nil]; }

iOS 17 CarPlay message notification navigating to app instead of announcing messages
After the update to iOS 17, tapping on message notification shown on CarPlay Dashboard is navigating to the CarPlay app instead of announcing the message notification. Announce Notifications turned ON Announce Messages turned ON Announce New Messages option is selected Other apps message notifications are announced as expected when tapping on the notification implying that the settings are set as required. Enabled com.apple.developer.carplay-communication Class CustomCarPlaySceneDelegate: UIResponder, CPTemplateApplicationSceneDelegate { func templateApplicationScene(_ templateApplicationScene: CPTemplateApplicationScene, didConnect interfaceController: CPInterfaceController) func templateApplicationScene(_ templateApplicationScene: CPTemplateApplicationScene, didDisconnectInterfaceController interfaceController: CPInterfaceController) func scene(_ scene: UIScene, willContinueUserActivityWithType userActivityType: String) }

New DeviceActivityAuthorization API without documentation
Here is a post to gather findings in case anyone found out what this new API does. Apple did not include any comments or documentation and due to the generic naming we don't know what this API might does. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/deviceactivity/deviceactivityauthorization?changes=latest_major

SwiftData
Is there a way to view the data saved when using swiftdata? Even after deleting all models, the storage space taken up by the app in Settings is too large.
