Notarization submissions stuck "In Progress" for 10 days
All of my notarization submissions have been stuck at "In Progress" for up to 10 days. I have 6 submissions spanning from March 4 to March 11, 2026, and none of them have completed or returned any errors. Are VisionOS Enterprise APIs handled differently from one another?
Hi, At work, we've done some development on an Apple Vision Pro. On the project, we used object tracking to track an object in 3D and found the default tracking refresh rate (I believe 5Hz)to be too slow so we applied for enterprise APIs so we could change it. At some point, in the capabilities (as a beginner to Swift and the Apple development environment) I noticed that's where you enable the Object Tracking Parameter Adjustment API and I did so, before hearing back about whether we got access to the enterprise API's and the license file that comes with it. So I setup the re-fresh rate to 30Hz and logged the settings of the ObjectTrackingProvider, showing it was set at 30Hz and felt like it was better than the default when we ran our app. In the Xcode runtime logs, there was no warning or error saying that the license file for the enterprise API was not found (and I don't think we heard back from Apple if they had granted our request or not - even if they did I think the license would be expired by now). Fast forward to today, I was running the sample code of the Main Camera access for VisionOS linked in the official developer documentation and when I ran the project in Xcode, I noticed in the logs that it wanted an enterprise license and that's why it wasn't running as expected in the immersive space. We've since applied for the Enterprise API for Main Camera Access. I'm now confused - did I mistakenly believe the object tracking refresh rate was set to 30Hz but it actually wasn't due to the lack of a license file/being granted access to the enterprise APIs? It seemed to be running as expected without a license file. Is Object tracking Parameter Adjustment API handled with different permissions than Main Camera Access API even though they are both enterprise APIs? This is all for internal development and not planning on distributing an app but I find the behaviour to be confusing between the different enterprise API? Does anyone have more insight as I find the developer notes on the enterprise APIs to be a bit sparse.

Universal Links and Cloud-testing platforms
Hi Apple Developer Support, We are reaching out to request guidance on a testing constraint we have encountered related to iOS Universal Links and Associated Domains entitlements. As part of aligning with updated recommendations from our authentication provider, we have transitioned our mobile apps to use HTTPS redirect callbacks (Universal Links) instead of custom URI schemes. This works as expected in production and on real physical devices. However, we are encountering a significant issue in our cloud-based device testing environment. When our testing platform re-signs the app to run it on their infrastructure, the re-signing process strips the Associated Domains entitlement from the app bundle. As a result, iOS no longer honors our Universal Links, which breaks the authentication redirect flow — the callback cannot route back into the app after the user authenticates. We have identified a potential workaround that would involve disabling app re-signing in the testing platform, but this requires provisioning under an Apple Enterprise Developer account. This introduces considerable operational complexity, as it would require us to maintain separate signing and distribution paths alongside our existing Apple Developer Program membership. Before pursuing that path, we wanted to understand Apple's perspective on the following: Is there a supported or recommended approach for preserving Associated Domains entitlements when an app is re-signed by a third party (e.g., a cloud testing platform)? Are there any provisioning or entitlement configurations that would allow Universal Links to function correctly in re-signed builds without requiring an Enterprise Developer account? Does Apple have documented best practices for validating Universal Link–based flows in automated or cloud-based testing environments? Are there any alternative deep linking patterns that would be more resilient to re-signing while still meeting App Store and platform security requirements? Issue Regarding Notarization
I am trying to notarize a simple app I made, but keep getting stuck on "In Progress". The app is a MacOS app, and I'm using XCode. Command CodeSign failed with a nonzero exit code - OpenGL
Hey, So i am trying to setup OpenGL on my mac. Specs : M2 Pro, 15.5 (24F74) Now i have setup the entire project properly as far as i know. GLFW, GLAD and the OpenGL framework. the build libraries are also reference and everything. I have also included the glad.c file in the folder. i have also kept it to run locally in signing tab. its still giving me Command CodeSign failed with a nonzero exit code All the ss are provided

Family Controls Request Form
Hi everyone, I recently submitted the Family Controls request form and received the following request IDs: 429MKWT5VX

 N62KV78DKC However, I haven’t received any updates yet and I’m not sure how these requests are tracked or when we’ll know if they’re approved. Our app is almost ready to launch and this capability is critical for us. Both the main app and an extension depend on Family Controls, so we’re currently blocked from moving forward. I also raised a support ticket with Apple Developer Support (Case ID: 102838723073), but I haven’t received any response there either. To be honest, this is becoming really stressful. Months of work are stuck at the final step and we’re unable to move forward without this approval. This isn’t just a small personal project and we’re building a production app and were hoping to launch very soon. If anyone has been through this process or has any guidance on the approval timeline, or if someone from Apple could help look into these request IDs, it would genuinely mean a lot to us.

Finding a Capability’s Distribution Restrictions
Some capabilities include distribution restriction. For example, you might be able to use the capability for day-to-day development but have to get additional approval to publish an app using that capability to the App Store. To tell if a capability has such a restriction: Go to Developer > Account. At the top right, make sure you’re logged in as the right team. Under Certificates, IDs & Profiles, click Identifiers. Find the App ID you’re working with and click it. IMPORTANT Some managed capabilities are granted on a per-App ID basis, so make sure you choose the right App ID here. This brings up the App ID editor. In the Capabilities tab, locate the capability you’re working with. Click the little info (i) button next to the capability. The resulting popover lists the supported platforms and distribution channels for that capability. For example, the following shows that the standard Family Controls (Development) capability, which authorises use of the com.apple.developer.family-controls entitlement, is only enabled for development on iOS and visionOS. In contrast, if you’ve been granted distribution access to this capability, you’ll see a different Family Controls (Distribution) capability. Its popover shows that you can use the capability for App Store Connect and Ad Hoc distribution, as well as day-to-day development, on both iOS and visionOS. In the Family Controls example the development-only capability is available to all developers. However, restrictions like this can apply to initially managed capabilities, that is, managed capabilities where you have to apply to use the capability just to get started with your development. For example, when you apply for the Endpoint Security capability, which authorises use of the com.apple.developer.endpoint-security.client entitlement, it’s typically granted for development only. If you want to distribute a product using that capability, you must re-apply for another capability that authorises Developer ID distribution [1]. Some folks encounter problems like this because their managed capability was incorrectly granted. For example, you might have applied for a managed capability from an Organization team but it was granted as if you were an Enterprise team. In this case the popover will show In House where you’d expect it to show App Store Connect. If you’ve believe that you were granted a managed capability for the wrong distribution channel, contact the folks who granted you that capability. compile code required signing from unexisting user
Hi, This is my first time developing for iPhone, and I believe I have encountered an unusual edge case related to user management. Background: I work at a very small company currently in the proof-of-concept stage of building an iOS app. We created an Apple account under the company name: Green Vibe, using our corporate email. Initially, I developed the app under the free account on my local iPhone, and everything worked smoothly. When NFC functionality became necessary, we upgraded to a paid Apple Developer account. At that point, I enrolled as a developer under my personal name (Or Itach) while logged in with the Green Vibe Apple account. I want to emphasize that only one Apple account was created — the Green Vibe account. The Issue: When attempting to add NFC, I was able to create the required certificate under the name Or Itach. However, when compiling the project, Xcode prompts me to enter the login password for the user Or Itach. This is problematic because there is no Apple ID associated with that name — only the Apple Developer enrollment under Green Vibe exists. Request: Could you please advise on the proper way to resolve this situation? Specifically: Should the developer enrollment be tied directly to the Green Vibe account rather than to an individual name? How can I correctly configure the account so that Xcode no longer requires a nonexistent Apple ID password? Thank you very much for your support and clarification.

Have not been able to notarize for the past 2 days
I haven't been able to notarize my macOS app for the past two days. Now, I believe this is an issue with the notarization process because I've tried notarizing the default app that's provided whenever you open a new Swift application, but that completely failed as well. And I've been waiting for the past two days and it's been stuck on in progress. This is the second time this has happened to me in the past two months and oftentimes I have to wait more than a day or two for the notarization to occur. I just, I don't understand why it's deadlocked like this. I've done nothing. I haven't changed my certificates. I haven't done any different configurations within my Mac. The last time that this happened, the issue went away after two days, but my biggest concern right now is that if this happens whenever we need to urgently push updates, we can't. I have absolutely no idea what to do and I'm just extremely frustrated because this is happening right before our launch day. I've been stuck on notarizing again for the past two days and I've seen no progress, I've seen no responses from support emails and the ones that do aren't even applicable to my current scenario. ⁠

Provisioning profile missing entitlement: com.apple.developer.icloud
Hi, I do have a strange behavior in my development environment on a Mac mini (M4) running 26.2 and Xcode 26.3. Everything was working as expected. My project had a stable state and I wanted to enable iCloud support. As result I could not run the app any more because code signing failed with the message that my profile does not include the above entitlement. On my notebook (M2) with XCode 26.3 everything is working. Im am using GIT and both computers have identical code. The code compiling and running on my notebook will not run any more on my Max mini. Any help to find what might have broken the code signing and how it could be fixed? Thanks in advance.

Developer ID certificate not working after Apple ID password change
Hi everyone, After I recently changed my Apple ID (iCloud) password, my Developer ID certificate stopped working for signing macOS apps. Symptoms: Signing fails with the Developer ID certificate that was previously working fine. I tried re-downloading the certificate from my Apple Developer account and importing it into the Keychain, but the issue persists. It seems that the Developer ID identity is no longer trusted or properly linked to my system since the password change. Attempts: Re-downloaded and installed the certificate from the developer portal. Verified that the private key is present and linked. Checked keychain access and code-signing identity — everything appears normal, but the signed apps are rejected or the signing process fails. Blocking issue: I am unable to delete or revoke the Developer ID certificate on my account (Apple Support says it's not possible). Also, I can't create a new one due to the certificate limit. Questions: Is it expected for a Developer ID certificate to become invalid after changing the Apple ID password? Is there a recommended way to refresh or restore the certificate trust on macOS? How can I invalidate the current certificate and generate a new one if I'm stuck? Any insights or official guidance would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Family Controls Request Form
Hello, We recently resubmitted our Family Controls (Distribution) request with a much more detailed explanation after our previous declined. Our entire app (including an extension) depends on this capability, and right now we’re completely blocked from launching. Months of work are stuck at this final step and it’s honestly becoming very stressful with no visibility on the timeline. No certificate for team '' matching 'Developer ID Application' found
When completing signing on Xcode, it shows the following error message "No certificate for team '' matching 'Developer ID Application' found" I have already followed the steps to generate a certificate from keychain and made a new certificate on developer portal, along with its associated provisioning profile. Viewing "Manage Certificate" window shows the newly created certificate, but Xcode seems to not be able to locate it.

App notarization is taking long
Hi, I read that notarization should be fairly quick. I thought that it was stuck, so I ended up sending a few submissions of the same app. I was wondering if you'd able to tell me the status of my latest submission (id: a094f93d-8bb2-47fe-a411-b6e357456ec7). Device List Reset is paywalled from when paid account exists
I have 14 total devices, from way back. I am currently in a financial bind and can't renew just yet. BUT I am at past my time to reset the device list back to zero. I also raised a support ticket with Apple Developer Support (Case ID: 102838723073), but I haven’t received any response there either. To be honest, this is becoming really stressful. Months of work are stuck at the final step and we’re unable to move forward without this approval. This isn’t just a small personal project and we’re building a production app and were hoping to launch very soon. If anyone has been through this process or has any guidance on the approval timeline, or if someone from Apple could help look into these request IDs, it would genuinely mean a lot to us.

Finding a Capability’s Distribution Restrictions
Some capabilities include distribution restriction. For example, you might be able to use the capability for day-to-day development but have to get additional approval to publish an app using that capability to the App Store. To tell if a capability has such a restriction: Go to Developer > Account. At the top right, make sure you’re logged in as the right team. Under Certificates, IDs & Profiles, click Identifiers. Find the App ID you’re working with and click it. IMPORTANT Some managed capabilities are granted on a per-App ID basis, so make sure you choose the right App ID here. This brings up the App ID editor. In the Capabilities tab, locate the capability you’re working with. Click the little info (i) button next to the capability. The resulting popover lists the supported platforms and distribution channels for that capability. For example, the following shows that the standard Family Controls (Development) capability, which authorises use of the com.apple.developer.family-controls entitlement, is only enabled for development on iOS and visionOS. In contrast, if you’ve been granted distribution access to this capability, you’ll see a different Family Controls (Distribution) capability. Its popover shows that you can use the capability for App Store Connect and Ad Hoc distribution, as well as day-to-day development, on both iOS and visionOS. In the Family Controls example the development-only capability is available to all developers. However, restrictions like this can apply to initially managed capabilities, that is, managed capabilities where you have to apply to use the capability just to get started with your development. For example, when you apply for the Endpoint Security capability, which authorises use of the com.apple.developer.endpoint-security.client entitlement, it’s typically granted for development only. If you want to distribute a product using that capability, you must re-apply for another capability that authorises Developer ID distribution [1]. Some folks encounter problems like this because their managed capability was incorrectly granted. For example, you might have applied for a managed capability from an Organization team but it was granted as if you were an Enterprise team. In this case the popover will show In House where you’d expect it to show App Store Connect. If you’ve believe that you were granted a managed capability for the wrong distribution channel, contact the folks who granted you that capability. compile code required signing from unexisting user
Hi, This is my first time developing for iPhone, and I believe I have encountered an unusual edge case related to user management. Background: I work at a very small company currently in the proof-of-concept stage of building an iOS app. We created an Apple account under the company name: Green Vibe, using our corporate email. Initially, I developed the app under the free account on my local iPhone, and everything worked smoothly. When NFC functionality became necessary, we upgraded to a paid Apple Developer account. At that point, I enrolled as a developer under my personal name (Or Itach) while logged in with the Green Vibe Apple account. I want to emphasize that only one Apple account was created — the Green Vibe account. The Issue: When attempting to add NFC, I was able to create the required certificate under the name Or Itach. However, when compiling the project, Xcode prompts me to enter the login password for the user Or Itach. This is problematic because there is no Apple ID associated with that name — only the Apple Developer enrollment under Green Vibe exists. Request: Could you please advise on the proper way to resolve this situation? Specifically: Should the developer enrollment be tied directly to the Green Vibe account rather than to an individual name? How can I correctly configure the account so that Xcode no longer requires a nonexistent Apple ID password? Thank you very much for your support and clarification.

Have not been able to notarize for the past 2 days
I haven't been able to notarize my macOS app for the past two days. Now, I believe this is an issue with the notarization process because I've tried notarizing the default app that's provided whenever you open a new Swift application, but that completely failed as well. And I've been waiting for the past two days and it's been stuck on in progress. This is the second time this has happened to me in the past two months and oftentimes I have to wait more than a day or two for the notarization to occur. I just, I don't understand why it's deadlocked like this. I've done nothing. I haven't changed my certificates. I haven't done any different configurations within my Mac. The last time that this happened, the issue went away after two days, but my biggest concern right now is that if this happens whenever we need to urgently push updates, we can't. I have absolutely no idea what to do and I'm just extremely frustrated because this is happening right before our launch day. I've been stuck on notarizing again for the past two days and I've seen no progress, I've seen no responses from support emails and the ones that do aren't even applicable to my current scenario. ⁠

Provisioning profile missing entitlement: com.apple.developer.icloud
Hi, I do have a strange behavior in my development environment on a Mac mini (M4) running 26.2 and Xcode 26.3. Everything was working as expected. My project had a stable state and I wanted to enable iCloud support. As result I could not run the app any more because code signing failed with the message that my profile does not include the above entitlement. On my notebook (M2) with XCode 26.3 everything is working. Im am using GIT and both computers have identical code. The code compiling and running on my notebook will not run any more on my Max mini. Any help to find what might have broken the code signing and how it could be fixed? Thanks in advance.

Developer ID certificate not working after Apple ID password change
Hi everyone, After I recently changed my Apple ID (iCloud) password, my Developer ID certificate stopped working for signing macOS apps. Symptoms: Signing fails with the Developer ID certificate that was previously working fine. I tried re-downloading the certificate from my Apple Developer account and importing it into the Keychain, but the issue persists. It seems that the Developer ID identity is no longer trusted or properly linked to my system since the password change. Attempts: Re-downloaded and installed the certificate from the developer portal. Verified that the private key is present and linked. Checked keychain access and code-signing identity — everything appears normal, but the signed apps are rejected or the signing process fails. Blocking issue: I am unable to delete or revoke the Developer ID certificate on my account (Apple Support says it's not possible). Also, I can't create a new one due to the certificate limit. Questions: Is it expected for a Developer ID certificate to become invalid after changing the Apple ID password? Is there a recommended way to refresh or restore the certificate trust on macOS? How can I invalidate the current certificate and generate a new one if I'm stuck? Any insights or official guidance would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Family Controls Request Form
Hello, We recently resubmitted our Family Controls (Distribution) request with a much more detailed explanation after our previous declined. Our entire app (including an extension) depends on this capability, and right now we’re completely blocked from launching. Months of work are stuck at this final step and it’s honestly becoming very stressful with no visibility on the timeline. No certificate for team '' matching 'Developer ID Application' found
When completing signing on Xcode, it shows the following error message "No certificate for team '' matching 'Developer ID Application' found" I have already followed the steps to generate a certificate from keychain and made a new certificate on developer portal, along with its associated provisioning profile. Viewing "Manage Certificate" window shows the newly created certificate, but Xcode seems to not be able to locate it.

App notarization is taking long
Hi, I read that notarization should be fairly quick. I thought that it was stuck, so I ended up sending a few submissions of the same app. I was wondering if you'd able to tell me the status of my latest submission (id: a094f93d-8bb2-47fe-a411-b6e357456ec7).
