I've been working on my mobile app project using Expo. Yesterday, when I tried to run the app again, the Expo Go in the iOS simulator got stuck on the screen showing "New update available, downloading..." and then crashed. I'm not sure what went wrong. It only provides a long error report. I ran an EAS build, which completed successfully, so I suspect the issue might be with the iOS simulator or Expo Go itself. Please help me out :(

Hello, I’m facing an issue with geofencing events in my app. When the app is killed and not opened for 2–3 days, the geofencing event is not triggering when I re-enter the geofenced area. I’ve made sure that all necessary permissions (location, background refresh, etc.) are properly set in the app settings. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution or workaround to ensure that geofencing works as expected even after the app has been killed for several days? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated! Is there a way to check whether third-party code can be inserted into parts of the ARM CPU architecture from outside? I have the paranoid impression that my MacBook Pro, M2 processor is being manipulated from outside. For example: Safari, when opened, displays pages scaled down without my conscious intervention, when clicked on the original size it scales back to normal for a short time and then implodes again; I use the navigation bar on the left excessively, it is my most important tool in Safari, today it was impossible to insert a link using drag & drop, the bar scrolls up or down very quickly; a behavior that I only know from Intel processors. For example, notes, I encrypted an important note, no problem even though photos and links are inserted, yesterday I could no longer open the note, neither on the MacBook Pro nor on the iPhone. When opening the notes app in the terminal on the MacBook Pro, an EXEC_CRASH report was generated. I have a terrible suspicion that the Apple branch in Munich is tampering with the devices and software of users in Germany. Sorry, I'm a big fan of Apple and its products, but this is very spooky. I just wanted to share my distrust with you!

The first Beta install stopped recognizing a Yamaha USB audio interface. The next two installs brought the recognition back. The last Beta install doesn't recognize the interface completely. The midi implementation works but the audio implementation isn't recognized in Audio/Midi setup. This might be something to look at in the next Beta release or something audio interface venders should look at in their next driver release.

we’ve identified that our PDF rendering pipeline leverages the native CGPDFDocument APIs to convert PDF pages into images. However, in the latest release of iOS 18, the provided document fails to render even at the CGPDFDocument level. Our analysis suggests that the issue may stem from the embedded custom fonts not being correctly processed in this version of the iOS platform. This appears to be consistent with several other reports and discussions around font rendering problems introduced in iOS 18, particularly involving subset fonts. We’ve attached a collection of relevant community threads and references, including: Apple Developer Discussion: Subset Font Rendering Issue in iOS 18 Given that our implementation is tightly coupled with Apple’s native PDF rendering APIs, this issue presents a blocking limitation for us. On wake from sleep the Mac Studio's Desktop picture is shown in actual resolution instead of stretched to fit screen. For example, a picture which is 2059 × 1371 is shown at that resolution on a 5K Retina screen and so only fills about 60% of the screen area. It starts with the picture positioned in the top left corner but sometimes moves down the screen. This behaviour does not change if the screen is scaled up or down – the picture size is also scaled. Notice that icons on the Desktop are displayed in the correct position. At the same time, the Dock is shown at the bottom of the picture instead of at the bottom of the screen. Usually, the Desktop redisplays correctly. But increasingly, the only solution is to log out and in again. This might be related to my other question on the Desktop picture Pref Pane. Almost everytime, when I try to search apps in App library, the icons go invisible, o are showed for and instant to quickly go invisible.

I have a new M4 iPad Air and a brand new Apple Pencil Pro. It was working well until I installed iPadOS 26.0 (23A5297m) beta. Now, when using GoodNotes to write the Pencil functions for about 6-8 seconds and then disconnects for 2-3 seconds and then reconnects. You can imagine how disruptive this is. It does the same thing trying to highlight in the Kindle app, so I think it is an iOS issue. As I write this, I am discovering that the Pencil is not wanting to stay connected at all despite showing up in the list of Bluetooth devices and connecting temporarily. I've tried forgetting and reconnecting the Pencil several times. It is charged to 100%, and I receive the alert that the iPad detects the Pencil. Is anyone else having this issue? Do I need to assume this is being addressed?

Hey, I have AirPlay speakers that I want to use as permanent speakers on my Apple TV. It is possible since tvOS 26. I want to delete the delay from the connection to the speakers and tried out the wireless audio calibration, but then the TV speakers go on and it only works there, not on the speakers. Does anyone have a solution?

I installed the iOS 18.4 developer beta on my iPhone 12 last night, and it ended up sending my phone into a boot loop—at least that's what it looks like. Phone alternates between totally black screen and the Apple logo screen every 5 seconds or so. The phone isn't responding to force restart, isn't showing up in Finder to try to factory reset, etc. My guess is the update was corrupted in some way? Did this happen to anyone else? Any ideas about what's going on?

Hello Apple Developer Community, I’m hoping someone can advise me on a serious issue. Our organization’s Apple Developer Program account has been effectively locked because our Account Holder’s Apple ID is inaccessible. I need to either unlock that Apple ID or transfer the Account Holder role so we can manage our apps. I’ve already reached out to Apple Developer Support, but so far, I haven’t received a response. This situation is critical because our clients rely on us to maintain and update our apps. Key details (some info is masked for privacy): • We’re enrolled as an Organization/Company. • The current Account Holder’s Apple ID is locked and cannot perform any actions. • I have admin/manager access through another Apple ID. I’ve reviewed the documentation on transferring the Account Holder role, but it appears the transfer can only be initiated by the current Account Holder, which is impossible at this point. If anyone has encountered a similar issue or knows a more efficient route to escalate, I’d be extremely grateful for your insights. Thanks in advance for any advice you can share.
