Is anyone seeing flaky results when using parameterized test with pairs of (input, result) data?
I have several (5) tests for a given method. I create a zip sequence by zip([in1, in2, in3, in4, in5],[out1, out2, out3, out4, out5])
Sometimes, the test only runs 4 of the tests and fails to report a failure even though I deliberately place data that should cause a failure.
Sometimes, even though I only select one test to run, the test explorer goes crazy into a loop and I have to clear test results to get it to stop. Following a suggestion, I disabled running tests in parallel.

We are looking for a platform or portal provided by Apple that allows us to track crashes, hangs, or other runtime issues faced by users while using our iOS/macOS application. This is similar to how we currently use Windows Error Reporting (WER) for our Windows application.
Important note: Our application is not distributed via the Apple App Store — it is delivered through enterprise distribution or ad-hoc provisioning.

I created 2 iOS projects in Xcode:
Project 1:
4 targets (main app + 3 app extensions)
4 static libraries
the main app's target dependencies include - 3 app extensions and the 4 libs.
the main app's binary is linked to all 4 libs
similarly, each extension is linked to all 4 libs
Project 2:
5 targets (main app + 3 app extensions + 1 framework)
4 static libraries
the main app's target dependencies include - 3 app extensions and the framework
each extension is dependent only on the framework
the framework's target dependencies include all the 4 static libs
As per my understanding, the app bundle size for Project 2 should be less than that of Project 1, since we eliminate duplicating the static libs for each target by using a framework instead.
However, I have found that the bundle size is more for Project 2 as compared to the bundle size of project 1.
I do not understand, why?
My Xcode project has the following configuration:
1 iOS app target
1 Xcode framework target (mach-o-type "Dynamic Library")
5 static libraries
Dependencies:
All the static libraries are target dependencies of the framework.
The framework is the only target dependency of the iOS app.
For the iOS app target, within the General tab > Frameworks, Libraries & Embedded content, I've set the framework as "Do not embed"
So now I have a dynamic framework which won't be copied to the .app bundle in the build output.
As per my understanding, this should result in a runtime error, dyld should not be able to find the framework files as they were not embedded in the final .app bundle.
But regardless, my app runs without any errors, using all the methods exposed by the framework.
What is the correct understanding here?
What exactly does Embed/Do not embed mean (apart from excluding the files from .app bundle)
When both settings are specified, is there any priority or precedence of one setting over the other?
Any time I attempt to download the latest beta of macOS 26, Safari stops the download at Zero KB, with no indication of why.
I'm able to download OS 26 beta 8 for the other platforms absolutely fine, just not macOS. Pressing the little orange "reload" button, just results in another copy of the same zero KB file bundle on the file system.
Can anyone help please?
We are building a framework which will be used by other apps. Want to integrate crash reporting and diagnostics for our framework. Want to report crashes to our backend happening inside our framework only and ignore app level crashes. Is it possible to filter crashes like that ?
Good day everyone.
I have a react native app which works on dev mode on my device - Iphone 13 pro version: 18.5, but when deployed to TestFlight and installed on same device it crashes when ever I click on any TextInput. I downloaded the crash file but finding it difficult to pinpoint the problem.
I want to know what the problem is, if it's related to an installed package or code base or any other.
Any help will be appreciated!!!
Thanks.

If I build an x64 binary on my M4 Mini, when I try to debug it using Visual Studio remote debugging the connection is closed, which means I cannot debug my code in x64 mode. I need to be able to do this as I have architecture specific code.
I have Rosetta installed.
FWIW I have the same issue with lldb-mi :(

Hi, my server in Melbourne Australia is getting weather forecasts from a few places around Australia. When I look at the daily timesteps that I get back, they might be something like this:
"days": [
{
"forecastStart": "2025-06-25T00:00:00Z",
"forecastEnd": "2025-06-26T00:00:00Z",
"daytimeForecast": {
"forecastStart": "2025-06-25T07:00:00Z",
"forecastEnd": "2025-06-25T19:00:00Z",
"overnightForecast": {
"forecastStart": "2025-06-25T19:00:00Z",
"forecastEnd": "2025-06-26T07:00:00Z",}
It doesn't matter where I ask for - Melbourne, Darwin, Perth, it always comes back the same.
The documentation says that daytimeForecast is 7 am to 7 pm local and overnightForecast is 7pm to 7 am local.
However, in a place like Perth 7-19Z is 3 pm to 3 am, not 7 pm to 7 am like advertised.
I can see that for any given date, there are 3 maximum temperature forecasts, a 24 hour max, a daytime max and an overnight max and they differ from each other.
Can anyone help me understand what's happening here?
And furthermore in the example above, the 24 hour forecasts that have, for example this:
"forecastStart": "2025-06-25T00:00:00Z" ... Can the 00:00:00Z be trusted literally? Or is it more the case that it's "2025-06-25" but the HMS got tacked on in a conversion?

Hello Team!
Recently we cleaned up profiles and renewed certificates under developer account, noticing profile expiration date showing invalid, it supposed to show certificate expiration date. Due to this I am not able to update or download profiles. Any one experienced this this? what would be the solution?.
Thanks,

I filed FB16715590 about this. I have a vague memory this might be related to some code to pretend to be case insensitive, but I can't find it now.
Hello, I'm not a developer. I have an app in the App Store and an Apple Developer account. I have two questions: 1. I'm trying to find out exactly where the source code of my app is located - I can't. It should be in Xcode. There is only Xcode cloud in my account, which is inactive. 2. I want to find out what programming language my app is written in. How do I do this?

Visual Studio 2022 is attempting to use port 11000 instead of 62078, but the port on iOS 18.5 is not listening for VS's Hot Reloading. Is this allowable? If so, how?
I am trying to fix a bug in my iOS app that is dependent upon date and time. Is there any way to set the actual time on the iOS Simulator to a specific date and time? I know that you can set one for the status bar, but that doesn't affect the actual date and time that is reported by the system to apps.
We are trying to setup Apple Unity Plugins, in out project we have a handful of developers who contribute to the project via git.
When building and importing plugins via tarball (as instructed in the Github repo) the package clearly points to local path, so once pushed all members encounter the error:
An error occurred while resolving packages:
Project has invalid dependencies:
com.apple.unityplugin.accessibility: Tarball package [com.apple.unityplugin.accessibility] cannot be found at path .....
When trying to actually move content to the package folder (same way as any other unity plugins is setup) and add it as "embedded", it works fine on local machine, but team members will get a few of errors:
[Apple Unity Plug-ins] No Apple native plug-in libraries found.
DLLNotFoundException: AppleCoreNativeMac assembly ...
No Apple Native plug-in libraries found.
Moreover AppleCoreNativeMac.bundle is flag as not verified and deleted by macOS.
What is the right way to setup unity plugins in a project used by multiple members via sourcetree ?
Here is my sample code of integration with iCloud
let dbName = "GroceryItem1"
let fieldName = "todoTitle1"
@objc func saveItem(name: String) {
let record = CKRecord(recordType: dbName)
record.encryptedValues[fieldName] = name
database.save(record) { record, error in
if error == nil {
DispatchQueue.main.asyncAfter(deadline: .now() + 2) {
self.fetchItems()
}
} else {
print("Error saving item: \(error?.localizedDescription ?? "Unknown error")")
}
}
}
Now my code works fine but what i don't understand is when i login to icloud.developer.apple.com why am i able to see the data, why is it not encrypted?
My database is private as well
If i go to record types i can see the recordfield is encrypted as shown in below screenshot
I'm trying to upload an update to an iOS app. Xcode goes through the usual dialogue and then immediately gets stuck on "Sending Analysis to App Store Connect..."
Since the Xcode GUI doesn't provide any helpful information, I looked in Console. I can see Xcode completing an SSL handshake, then reporting that it "received viability advisory", followed by boringssl_context_handle_fatal_alert "level: fatal, description: bad record mac". After this it starts the SSL handshake again. It will cheerfully do this round and round forever without ever reporting a problem to the user.
I found a similar post, which has one response about stripping bitcode from libraries (with no explanation as to why this would help), but my app does not include bitcode.
I've updated to the latest version of Xcode incase there was some incompatibility, and rebuilt my app because, while that should be irrelevant to an SSL handshake, I'd expect someone to ask.
Does anybody know what is going on and how to fix it?
I was developing an app using a certain bundle ID, but then had to delete it (and I also removed the app ID Identifier)
My question is, can I make a new app with the exact same bundle ID as I was using on the removed one? Since the old app never went into production I don't see why that would be a problem
