CoreML fails to decrypt a model
We've 10 CoreML models in our app, each encrypted with a separate key generated in XCode. After opening and closing the app 6-7 times, the app crashes at model initialization with error: 2021-04-21 13:52:47.711729+0300 MyApp[95443:7341643] Fatal error: 'try!' expression unexpectedly raised an error: Error Domain=com.apple.CoreML Code=9 "Failed to generate key request for 08494FB2-B070-440F-A8A5-CBD0823A258E with error: -42905" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Failed to generate key request for 08494FB2-B070-440F-A8A5-CBD0823A258E with error: -42905}: file MyApp/Model.swift, line 43 Looks like iPhone is blocking the app for suspicious behavior and the app fails to decrypt the model. We noticed that after ~10 hours the app is unlocked, it successfully decrypts and initializes the model. Opening and closing the app many times in a short period of time is indeed unnatural, but the most important question is how to avoid blocking? Would Apple block the app if a user opens and closes it 10 times during a day? How does the number of models in the app affect probability that the app will be blocked? Thanks!

Unable to launch tests in Xcode 26
I am trying to upgrade my app to use Xcode 26 and I cannot get my tests to launch. I am trying to launch tests to the simulator, and I always get this error after 300 second timeout: "encountered an error (The test runner hung before establishing connection.)" There are no other errors getting logged. I can run to the same simulator just fine, and in Xcode 16 the tests launch with no issues. The tests also run fine on an actual iPhone. Thanks in advance.

Unable to use iOS simulator below version 26 after installing Xcode 26 Beta 3
I installed the third beta of Xcode 26 with Xcode 16.4 installed on my machine. Once Xcode 26 was installed, all of my previous simulators were wiped out, leaving only the default iOS 26 simulators. I cannot create new simulators for iOS versions below 26. Here are my failed attempts to fix the issue: Restarted Xcode 16.4 and my machine Reinstalled the iOS 18.5 runtime Uninstalled Xcode 26 and iOS 26 runtime Reinstalled Xcode 16.4 Now, I literally cannot use a simulator in Xcode 16.4. Here is what I see when I try to create a new simulator in Xcode 16.4: According to Xcode, the iOS 18.5 runtime is installed, so I have no idea what is going on. Is this a known issue? And how do I get Xcode 16.4 working with the iOS simulator?

Slow incremental build times with xcodebuild command
When I compile my Xcode project using the xcodebuild command, I observe long incremental build durations. For example, compiling a new, empty project in Xcode only takes around one second. The same project takes 7 seconds to compile using the xcodebuild command. I've noticed that xcodebuild hangs at the "GatherProvisioningInputs" phase. Steps to Reproduce: Create a new Xcode project (iOS app template) Build the project in Xcode with timing summary enabled Build the same project from the command line with the following command: time xcodebuild -destination 'platform=iOS Simulator,name=iPhone 15 Pro,OS=latest' I would appreciate any insights or suggestions on how to improve the build times when using the xcodebuild command. Assets duplicating on Xcode 26.1 Beta 3
I've recently installed 26.1 Beta 3 alongside stable 26.0.1 When building my app with 26.0.1 the final .ipa size is ~17mb, however after building my app with 26.1 Beta 3 the size has increased up to ~22mb The main difference is Assets.car blowing from 1.1mb to 5.6mb (or 8.6mb if I include all icons settings). Upon examining I've found new liquid glass .icon file duplicating itself multiple times as png variants (any, dark, tinted, etc). Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

iOS 26.2 Simulator is not available for download
I'm trying to download the iOS 26.2 simulator, but it fails both in Xcode and via the command line. When I run: xcodebuild -downloadPlatform iOS -buildVersion 26.2 -exportPath ~/Downloads It returns: iOS 26.2 is not available for download. I would like to know: Why iOS 26.2 simulator cannot be downloaded at the moment. Whether iOS 26.2 simulator is still available, or if it has been removed or replaced. How to properly get and install the iOS 26.2 simulator. Any official explanation or solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Xcode Source Control pull/push hangs indefinitely, terminal Git works normally After Tahoe 26.3 (25D125) Update
Device Details: MBP M2 Pro AND MBP M3 Pro macOS 26.3 (25D125) Xcode Version 26.3, 26.2, 26.1 (I reinstalled all 3 of these after the macOS update) BUG: Xcode hangs indefinitely when performing Source Control operations (Pull or Push) on a Git repository that uses SSH authentication. The same repository works correctly when performing the equivalent Git operations from the Terminal using the Git CLI. The issue appears to be specific to Xcode’s internal Source Control integration. When the operation is triggered from Xcode, the UI shows a spinning progress indicator and never completes. Terminal Git commands (git fetch, git pull, git push) complete normally using the same SSH key and repository. A hang sample taken during the issue shows the Xcode main thread blocked in Source Control authentication and fingerprint handling code paths, including: IDESourceControlUIHandler IDESourceControlFingerprintManager handleAuthenticationFailure showFingerprintAlertOnWindow This suggests Xcode may be waiting on a Source Control authentication or host fingerprint UI flow that never resolves. SSH connectivity itself is functioning correctly: ssh -T git@bitbucket.org and ssh -T git@github.com both authenticate successfully. git ls-remote, git fetch, git pull, and git push all work correctly from Terminal. No Source Control accounts are configured in Xcode Preferences. Authentication relies entirely on SSH keys. Steps to Reproduce Configure an SSH key for Git access (e.g., Bitbucket or GitHub) and confirm it works via Terminal. Clone or open an existing Git repository that uses SSH (git@host:repo.git). Open the project/workspace in Xcode. In Xcode, attempt a Source Control operation such as: Source Control → Pull Source Control → Push Observe that Xcode displays a spinning progress indicator and does not complete the operation. xcode 16 ios 18.0 simulator download failed
I installed xcode 16 and both Predictive Code Completion Model and iOS 18.0 Simulator Failed Download. I can live without the code completion, but I can not get any Simulator to install. I clicked of the info button and it shows the following: Download failed. XCode 12 - Can't login to Github without Access Token???
Hey, so I wanted to pull from the Github project repository and XCode asked me login again. Forgot my password so I tried a wrong one and now it keeps asking for my Username and Access token, when I actually just want to login with my password. Doesn't let me choose between the too, not even when adding the account through preferences. Anyone know how to just login with password and the reason for this -pardon me- absolutely idiotic choice of not letting the user choose?

SwiftData error: NSKeyedUnarchiveFromData' should not be used to for un-archiving and will be removed in a future release
I am using SwiftData for my model. Until Xcode 15 beta 4 I did not have issues. Since beta 5 I am receiving the following red warning multiple times: 'NSKeyedUnarchiveFromData' should not be used to for un-archiving and will be removed in a future release This seems to be a CoreData warning. However, I am not using CoreData directly. I have no way to change the config of CoreData as used by SwiftData. My model just uses UUID, Int, String, Double, some of them as optionals or Arrays. I only use one attribute (.unique).

Hi everyone, I think this is a simple issue. I got the following error message" "PreviewDevice is ignored in a #Preview macro. Use the device picker at the bottom of the Canvas to change which device type is used for the preview. (from macro 'Preview')" after this line: ".previewDevice(PreviewDevice(rawValue: "iPhone 17 Pro"))" But in my Canvas I do not see the device picker. Thank you.

XCode 13 - No Help Book
I recently switched to Mac OS 12 and XCode 13. I did some work on my application and rebuilt it. Now there is no Help Book. I didn't change the property lists and everything looks right. When I open the Help Book the application either opens a window with a message that the content is currently unavailable or it opens a Help Book window with no content. When this second thing happens the log window shows "entering AHRegistered help Book" but it doesn't appear. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Xcode 26 Crashes on Launching App After macOS + Xcode Update (M3 Mac)
Hi everyone, After updating my Mac and Xcode to 26, I’m running into a consistent crash whenever I try to launch an app from Xcode. Environment: Mac: Apple Silicon M3 macOS: 26.0 (25A354) Xcode: 26.0.1 (17A400) Issue: When I press Run on any project (including new, empty projects), Xcode immediately crashes. This started only after updating to the latest macOS and Xcode. Crash details: The crash log shows: Application Specific Signatures: ___localError Thread 0 crashed inside -[IDEScheme _executionOperationForSchemeOperationParameters:...] from IDEFoundation/IDEKit. I also noticed background threads calling DVTPortal (developer portal requests) right before the crash. What I’ve tried so far: Cleared DerivedData, ModuleCache.noindex, and Xcode caches. Signed out/in of my Apple ID in Xcode. Recreated project schemes. Verified provisioning profiles. Reinstalled Xcode 26. Unfortunately, the crash still happens. Question: Is this a known issue with Xcode 26 on Apple Silicon (M3)? Has anyone seen a workaround? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated — I can’t currently launch apps in Xcode at all. Thanks!

Paired Watch not appearing in Xcode
I managed to install watchOS 2 without having registered my Watch's UDID, but as it's part of the instructions for installing watchOS betas I thought I'd better do it now in case beta 2 bricks my Watch or something.However, the Watch isn't appearing in Xcode. I've tried both the latest public release and Xcode 7 beta, but there's "no paired devices" section under my iPhone when I connect it to Xcode and look in the Devices window.

The operation couldn’t be completed. (Mach error -308 - (ipc/mig) server died)
Since the latest Xcode has become available users in our environment are seeing this error any time they try to launch a simulator (Primarily iOS devices, but others provided the same error) We have tested on 16.4 and 26.0.1 with various suggested fixes including uninstalling and reinstalling all of Xcode. Nothing has helped.

Slow launch of app on iOS Simulator 26.4
Each time I launch a Debug version of the app on iOS Simulator, I see the Launch Screen presented and then about a 30-second delay before the app is responsive and debug output appears in the console panel. Filed FB22345091

Hi, we've getting error when we are building our app with Xcode 15 beta versions and Xcode 15.0 public release. ld: B/BL out of range 156662596 (max +/-128MB) to '' To fix this just add -ld64 to Other Linker Flags in Target.
