We're experiencing an issue with in-app purchases in our React Native iOS app where RNIap.getProducts() is consistently returning an empty array, preventing users from making purchases.
Technical Details:
Using react-native-iap library
Product ID: '[REDACTED]'
Platform: iOS
Product Type: Consumable (one-time payment, NOT subscription)
Error in logs: "No products returned from App Store. Check App Store Connect."
Debugging shows: Products Fetched: []
Steps to Reproduce:
Open app and navigate to the quiz feature
Attempt to purchase additional quiz attempts
Modal opens but fails to load product information
What We've Confirmed:
IAP Connection initializes successfully
No error is thrown during product fetch, just an empty array returned
App is configured with correct Bundle ID
Using Apple Sandbox test account
We are implementing consumable purchases (one-time payments)
Potential Issues to Investigate:
Product configuration in App Store Connect
Ensure product is set as "Consumable" type in App Store Connect
Sandbox tester account permissions/activation
Bundle ID matching between app and App Store Connect
Product ID case sensitivity or typos

Hello, is it allowed to include the action=write-review URL parameter in customer support emails to direct users to the App Store review page?
Example: https://apps.apple.com/app/id[APP_ID]?action=write-review
I want to make it easy for customers to leave feedback after positive support interactions, but only if it's compliant.
We're experiencing an unusual issue with SKProductsRequest in our app's in-app purchases. Despite confirming that all our product IDs are correct, the invalidProductIdentifiers property of SKProductsResponse sometimes contains all the requested product IDs. Here are the specifics:
The issue occurs randomly and is not persistent.
For instance, around 2024-12-26 -8.0 01:06:04, this problem occurred 3 times in quick succession.
The didFailWithError method of SKRequestDelegate is not triggered, reporting no errors.
Some users report that after encountering this issue, it resolves itself after about an hour.
However, other users have reported this problem persisting for several days.
We have repeatedly verified the correctness of our product IDs. Given the intermittent nature of the problem, we suspect this might be an issue on the App Store server side. We're looking for suggestions to resolve or mitigate this issue to improve the reliability of in-app purchases in our application.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Or does anyone have suggestions that could help us further diagnose and resolve this problem?
Hi,
I have a setup using App Store Server notifications, which has worked fine for a while now. However, I've never been able to successfully verify a purchase via Xcode, only via TestFlight.
The reason for this is that the StoreKit transactions have numerical IDs (e.g. starting from 0, incrementing one-by-one), instead of UUIDs like in TestFlight/production.
This means that often the backend will detect an existing transaction with the same ID and not complete the purchase.
What are we meant to do here? If I send a custom ID to make it unique the backend won't accept this - I can ask them to change this for our dev environment but it's not ideal.
What I'm after is a way to use UUIDs for transaction IDs when running via Xcode.
Thanks

My question is simple, I do not have much experience in writing swift code, I am only doing it to create a small executable that I can call from my python application which completes Subcription Management.
I was hoping someone with more experience could point out my flaws along with giving me tips on how to verify that the check is working for my applicaiton. Any inight is appreciated, thank you.

I try to access the AppDistributor.current (using try await) and the property never seem to return nor throw.
The code I'm using looks like this:
do {
print("accessing current")
let current = try await AppDistributor.current
print("current obtained")
switch(current) {
case .appStore:
return "AppStore"
default:
return "Unknown"
}
} catch {
return "Exception: \(error)"
}
But the log only shows the accessing current and never the current obtained. Trying to step in the property starts with some assembly, but at some point, the debugger just never returned. I join a full Swift file of a sample test I'm using:

We're planning on increasing the price of our ios in-app subscription. We will select the option "Keep the current price for existing subscribers"
Reading this https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/manage-subscriptions/manage-pricing-for-auto-renewable-subscriptions/, it's not clear if existing subscribers will be notified of the change in pricing (even though that change won't impact them) or not?

查看了ChainVerifier.java 源代码,发现
private static final int EXPECTED_CHAIN_LENGTH = 3; // <--- 关键常量

// ... 解析证书代码 ...
if (parsedCertificates.size() != EXPECTED_CHAIN_LENGTH) {
throw new VerificationException(VerificationStatus.INVALID_CHAIN_LENGTH); // <--- 抛出异常点
}
// ... 后续验证代码 ...
}
appTransactionJWS是来自客户端的沙盒环境。
我发现沙盒环境的jws总是包含一个证书,而后端验证又必须要求三个证书,请问这个问题如何解决。

We've been approved for the Advanced Commerce API. After receiving the approval, we completed the initial setup requirements (submitted a generic product ID and shared our subscriptions page deep link).
When testing the Migrate Subscription to Advanced Commerce endpoint in the sandbox, we receive a 5000000 error.
What could be the reason/s for it? There is no information, and the API call we make includes all required parameters. Could it be related to the fact that our new generic product ID status is "Missing Metadata"? Is there a way to understand what the issue is on Apple's side?

I'm encountering an issue with In-App Purchases on Apple TV (tvOS):
When a user initiates an IAP for the first time, the system prompts them to sign in with their Apple ID, and the purchase proceeds normally.
However, on subsequent purchase attempts, if the Apple ID session has expired or additional verification is required, the system redirects the user to the Settings app to sign in again.
After the user signs in via Settings, the app does not automatically return to the foreground. The user must manually press the Menu button to come back.
Is this is the normal behaviour of apple tv for InApp purchase? or did I need any code improvement to solve this?
What I'm trying to achieve:
I'd like the app to automatically return to the foreground once the user has completed the Apple ID login in Settings. Is this behavior supported on tvOS? If not, is there any known workaround or best practice to guide the user back to the app smoothly?
Any advice or guidance from Apple or other developers would be greatly appreciated!
Description
SKTestSession.setSimulatedError() does not throw the configured error when testing StoreKit with the .loadProducts API in iOS 26.2. The simulated error is ignored, and products load successfully instead.
Environment
iOS: 26.2 (Simulator)
Xcode: 26.2 beta 2 (Build 17C5038g)
macOS: 15.6.1
Framework: StoreKitTest
Testing Framework: Swift Testing
base project: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/StoreKit/implementing-a-store-in-your-app-using-the-storekit-api
Expected Behavior
After calling session.setSimulatedError(.generic(.notAvailableInStorefront), forAPI: .loadProducts), the subsequent call to Product.products(for:) should throw StoreKitError.notAvailableInStorefront.
Actual Behavior
The error is not thrown. Products load successfully as if setSimulatedError() was never called.
Steps to Reproduce
Create an SKTestSession with a StoreKit configuration file
Call session.setSimulatedError(.generic(.notAvailableInStorefront), forAPI: .loadProducts)
Call Product.products(for:) with a valid product ID
Observe that no error is thrown and the product loads successfully
Sample Code
import StoreKitTest
import Testing
struct SKDemoTests {
let productID: String = "plus.standard"
@Test
func testSimulatedErrorForLoadProducts() async throws {
let storeKitConfigURL = try Self.getStoreKitConfigurationURL()
let session = try SKTestSession(contentsOf: storeKitConfigURL)
try await session.setSimulatedError(
.generic(.notAvailableInStorefront),
forAPI: .loadProducts
)
try await confirmation("StoreKitError throw") { throwStoreKitError in
do {
_ = try await Self.execute(productID: productID)
} catch let error as StoreKitError {
guard case StoreKitError.notAvailableInStorefront = error else {
throw error
}
throwStoreKitError()
} catch {
Issue.record(
"Expect StoreKitError. Error: \(error.localizedDescription)"
)
}
}
#expect(session.allTransactions().isEmpty)
}
static func execute(productID: String) async throws {
guard
let product = try await Product.products(for: [productID]).first(
where: { $0.id == productID })
else {
throw NSError(
domain: "SKDemoTests",
code: 404,
userInfo: [NSLocalizedDescriptionKey: "Product not found for ID: \(productID)"]
)
}
_ = product
}
static func getStoreKitConfigurationURL() throws -> URL {
guard
let bundle = Bundle(identifier: "your.bundle.identifier"),
let url = bundle.url(forResource: "Products", withExtension: "storekit")
else {
fatalError("StoreKit configuration not found")
}
return url
}
}
Test Result
The test fails because the expected StoreKitError.notAvailableInStorefront is never thrown.
Question
Is this a known issue in iOS 26.2 / Xcode 26.2 beta 2, or is there a different approach required for simulating errors with SKTestSession in this version? Any guidance would be appreciated.

The application is developed with Xamarin Framework and it is live now.
The customer installed the app and purchased the annual subscription.
And for some reason, they uninstall and reinstall the application on the same device.
Now user wants to restore the subscription. In the application, there is an option to Restore the subscription. But restore API not return purchase details.
But when clicking the subscription button instead of restoring the subscription, it says you subscribed to this plan".
is there any possibility of not getting VerifyRecipt even after a successful purchase?

I would like to inquire about the detailed triggers for updating receipts in this API specification.
Recently, I was using this API with sort=DESCENDING&revoked=false to retrieve the expiration date of the most recent receipt and determine the subscription status. However, for some reason, an old receipt with an earlier expiration date appeared as the first receipt, and I would like to know the reason for this.
Can you provide information on what specific events or actions trigger the updating of receipts in this API?
Also, regarding https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreserverapi/status, will statuses 3 and 4 not be returned in the response unless the billing grace period is enabled in the App Store?

App Store Receipts
App Store Server API
In our app we are running into a few issues with pending purchases staying on receipt indefinitely.
These are consumable purchases where we received the purchase succeeded from apple but then something went wrong on our servers to validate and confirm the purchase.
At this point the purchase stays on the apple receipt indefinitely or until we confirm it.
The problem is there are lots of scenarios where we can't confirm purchases anymore (like a game world expired/banned player/etc). So there's a few things I'd like to know to see how this could be handle correctly.
1- Was the user already charged, and if yes would they ever be refunded if the purchase is not confirmed (some sort of expiry)?
2- Is there a way to cancel this sort of pending transaction directly from the app or backend?
3- If one of these users asked for a refund from apple would this clear the purchase from the receipt?
Any information would be greatI couldn't find a lot of info on this topic.

In-App Subscriptions Not Fetching in Sandbox or Production (expo-iap / React Native / Bare Workflow)
Hi everyone,
I’m encountering an issue with my in-app subscriptions setup.
When I test using the StoreKit configuration file in Xcode, everything works correctly — the subscriptions are fetched and I can simulate purchases without any issues.
However, when I switch to the Sandbox or Production environment, my app fails to fetch the available products from Apple’s servers. The call to fetchProducts (from the expo-iap library) returns an empty array.
Here’s some context about my setup:
Framework: React Native (Expo Bare Workflow)
Library: expo-iap
Products: Auto-renewable subscriptions
StoreKit Configuration: Synced with App Store Connect
Status: Subscription Plans are approved in App Store Connect
I’ve verified the following:
The product identifiers in code match exactly with those in App Store Connect.
The app is signed with the correct bundle ID.
I’m testing with a Sandbox account (logged in via Settings -> Developer -> Sandbox Tester Account).
Despite this, the response from Apple’s servers still contains an empty array.
Has anyone experienced something similar with expo-iap or in general when moving from StoreKit configuration to Sandbox/Production? Any suggestions on what else I could check or common pitfalls I might be missing?
Thanks in advance!
