Since updating to tvoS 26.1/2 YouTube audio breaks when playing videos at anything other than 1x speed.
At 1.25x or higher, the audio is "static-y" and distorted almost immediately.
Strangely, AirPods work fine, it only happens with other audio outputs.
Anyone else experiencing this, or have a fix? tvOS: 26.2 (23J582)

Hello all! My name is Luke, and I'm a 14 year old with a idea for SSC. This is my first SSC submission ever. I would like some feedback concerning a question.
My app is an AI powered academic planner that helps you and your life. I won't give too much away, but I believe it's a really helpful concept. It uses a mini on-device LLM (built with simple if this word typed then do this logic) to help organize assignments.
This is a real business I am building, and I put inside of my app simulated features such as the app saying "scanning your Google Classroom..", would this go against any terms and make the app less likely to win?
I also have my app fully polished, and feels like an actual app and finished product, with demo assignments pre-loaded, and most stuff is placeholders. Should the app be more like a guided simulator? Such as "click here to see how this will be simulated in a final release" or again should it be polished?
I just want some feedback, since I only have 3 minutes, and the app needs to be offline, I just want to improvise.

Hi everyone,
I’m running into repeated App Store rejections under Guideline 5.2.1 (Ownership) and would appreciate advice from anyone who’s navigated this successfully.
Context:
• The app is called FitQuest: AI Health Coach
• FitQuest is a product/brand name, not a legal entity
• The legal owner and operator is PandeyInvestment LLC
• The Apple Developer account is under PandeyInvestment LLC
• There are no third-party brand affiliations or white-label use
• The app was built using a third-party app builder (web-to-native wrapper)
What I’ve already provided to App Review:
• Official LLC formation documents
• A signed ownership & authorization letter explicitly stating:
• FitQuest is a product owned by PandeyInvestment LLC
• PandeyInvestment LLC is solely responsible for the app, services, and data
• Clear explanations in Resolution Center replies
Despite this, Apple continues to respond that the app “appears to be created from an app generation service and not directly submitted by the owner/provider of the business or service,” and asks again whether FitQuest is a business entity.
My questions:
1. Is Apple expecting the app name to exactly match the legal entity name in cases like this?
2. Has anyone resolved a similar issue without creating a separate DBA or renaming the app to the LLC name?
3. Are there specific metadata fields (Seller Name, Copyright, Support URL, etc.) that reviewers rely on more heavily for ownership verification?
4. Is there additional documentation Apple typically accepts beyond LLC registration + signed authorization?
Any guidance or firsthand experience would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,
I am working on my submission for the Swift Student Challenge 2026 using a Swift App Playground (.swiftpm).
The default project was set to iOS 16, but I manually edited the Package.swift file to change the minimum version to iOS 18.0 so I can use the latest APIs. I also modified the supportedInterfaceOrientations to lock the app to Portrait mode only.
I know the file contains a warning saying "Do not edit it by hand," so I am worried about two things:
Disqualification: Will manually changing the iOS version from the default 16.0 to 18.0 cause any issues with the submission validator or the judging environment?
Orientation: Is it acceptable to strictly force .portrait mode for the challenge, or are we required to support landscape/responsive layouts for the judges' iPads?
I want to make sure these manual changes won't technically invalidate my playground.

To whoever is bothered enough to help (trust me, I get the feeling if you're not), I want to enter the swift student challenge either this year or next year, depending on how things play out.
Anyway, I just wanted to know two things: 1) how long on average it takes to build a project which won distinguished winner and 2) whether any distinguished winners could send me the playgrounds they built.
To be clear, I do not want the code, I just want to know what you did, what you called the playground, a list of some features it had, how long it took, just to help me prepare, because YouTube doesn't have much of that.

While reading the SSC Full Terms and Conditions, I noticed that "Your app playground requires sign in" is a term for disqualification.
If our app idea requires sign in for personalization and security, can we submit a prototype without the sign in feature and add it later before publishing the app? Or should we steer clear of app ideas that require sign in altogether?

Hello, I am a developer from Russia, I recently paid for a subscription to apple developer. 8,990.00 Russian rubles were debited from me. The subscription is displayed in my active subscriptions from my apple account. It shows in the application that the enrollment through the application is not working. The payment receipt was sent to the post office when, how much, and for how long everything about the subscription is. Tell me what are my next steps, how much should I reap?
I have filed 27 bug reports against macOS using Feedback Assistant and none have had any sort of follow-up.
I'm wondering if anyone at Apple looks at these reports?
A few of these involve accessibility features that are not working (for example: speak announcements doesn't work -- and yes, my feedback is much more detailed than "doesn't work"). I would have thought issues with accessibility would be a high priority for Apple to fix quickly.
Another report is that Grapher uses black text on dark gray making it very difficult to see the formula you enter. This should be a one-line code fix.
These two, and 25 other bug reports have seemingly been ignored. Several of these reports indicate more than 10 similar reports, yet go unfixed. Leading me back to my opening question -- does anyone at Apple read these reports?
I'd like to think I'm helping Apple to deliver a more perfect product but I feel like I'm wasting my time writing detailed bug reports. Is there another way to bring these to Apple's attention?

My project requires the on-device apple intelligence models (FoundationModels) which are only available for iPad on
iPad Pro
M1 and later,
iPad Air
M1 and later,
iPad mini A17 Pro. If they don't judge on one of these devices, my project might not work properly as FoundationModels is a pretty big part of my project. For this reason I really need to know what devices the Swift Student Challenge will be judged on.

Hello,
Our messaging app was rejected with guidelines 4.0 and 4.2.3 for using wallet authentication.
Rejection reasons:
"App uses web browser to sign in"
we use deep links to native wallet apps, but they fallback to browser when wallets aren't installed
"Requires users to download external apps" (Phantom/Solflare/Backpack wallets)
Our situation:
Wallet authentication is identity verification users sign with their private key
There's no username/password alternative - the wallet address IS the identity
Similar Web3 apps are approved on the App Store. Or like similar to whatsapp using phone number as the authentication to start with.
What's the recommended implementation for wallet-based auth on iOS?
Should we just provide a demo mode for reviewers like they suggested for?
If so, how do we handle features requiring a real wallet. And can we remove that on later versions of the app?
Is there a way to satisfy these guidelines while maintaining wallet authentication?

I have an app with a small but devoted following. It has not been upgraded since 2022 and has been working very well. On iOS 26 it crashes almost at startup.
After hooking up to Xcode and running I get this message in the console:
objc[64686]: Class PSSegment is implemented in both /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/PolarisGraph.framework/PolarisGraph (0x291ed9f78) and /private/var/containers/Bundle/Application/08486FCF-548A-467C-8BA3-D722734463FC/HikeTracker.app/HikeTracker.debug.dylib (0x101d309e8). This may cause spurious casting failures and mysterious crashes. One of the duplicates must be removed or renamed.
PSSegment is the name of an entity in my Core Data managed object model. If I refactor it to P_Segment the app starts.
PolarisGraph means nothing to me.
The "PS" stands for Persistent Store, but in this case it seems that PolarisGraph is PSing in my sandbox. How can this happen?

Hi everyone,
I am currently developing an app for my Swift Student Challenge submission. One of the key features of my app is visualizing user progress over time using SwiftData and Swift Charts.
I have a concern regarding the first-time experience for the reviewer. Since the app relies on accumulated data to display meaningful trends, the dashboard/charts will appear empty on the very first launch, which might not fully showcase the visualization logic I’ve implemented.
To ensure the reviewer can immediately grasp the app's potential within their limited review window, I am considering generating pre-populated sample data (mock data) only on the initial launch.
Does Apple generally recommend including sample data in a challenge submission to better demonstrate UI/UX and data visualization capabilities?
Or is it strictly preferred to present a "fresh" empty state, as a real first-time user would see it?
I want to make sure I am following the best practices for the challenge while highlighting my technical implementation of the SwiftData and Charts frameworks.

I am frustrated with the slow response from the support. I kept paying 4 times for my developer account from 31/12 (3 days ago) and my bank card actually got charged €396. It was because when I logged in, I kept seeing the button Purchase now, although I paid previously. I thought the payment did not come through.
Does anyone face the same issue before? What is the best way to reach the support people? Thanks.
