Xcode completion binding not working in 16.2
I'm wondering why 'Select Previous Completion' and 'Select Next Completion' aren't working. I'm using Ctrl-K and Ctrl-J but only my arrow keys work to navigation the completion list. 'Show Completion List' works just fine with Ctrl-Esc. There are no conflicts with any Xcode bindings, and I've checked my system settings for keyboard shortcuts as well.. I've completely disabled copilot, etc.. Is there another setting I'm missing? Or, is this a known issue?

Xcode26 beta.2 build error
I am writing to report multiple issues encountered after updating to Xcode 26 Beta, which have significantly impacted my project's compilation and functionality. My project can run normally in Xcode16.3 version, Below are the specific problems, along with the steps I took to address them and the subsequent errors that arose: Symbol Not Found Error for _NSUserActivityTypeBrowsingWeb After updating to Xcode 26 Beta, my project failed to build with the error: "Symbol not found: _NSUserActivityTypeBrowsingWeb." To resolve this, I removed the MobileCoreServices framework from the Build Settings, as it appeared to be related. However, this led to a new error, indicating that this change introduced further complications. Clang++ Error: No Such File or Directory 'OpenGLES' Following the resolution of the first issue, I encountered a new error: "iOS clang++: error: no such file or directory: 'OpenGLES'." To address this, I added the OpenGLES.framework to the Build Phases. While this resolved the clang++ error, it triggered additional errors, suggesting that the underlying issue persists or new dependencies are conflicting. Recurring XIB File Compilation Errors My project uses XIB files, and every time I attempt to compile and run, Xcode reports errors related to different XIB files. Notably, when I open the reported XIB file, no errors are displayed within the Interface Builder. After saving or inspecting the file, the compilation error temporarily disappears, only for another XIB file to trigger the same issue in the next build. This creates a repetitive cycle. I have confirmed this is not a caching issue, as I clean the build cache (Product > Clean Build Folder) before each run. If I skip cleaning the cache, the OpenGLES-related error (Issue 2) reappears, indicating potential interactions between these problems. These issues have made development with Xcode 26 Beta extremely challenging, as each attempted fix seems to introduce new errors, and the XIB issue creates a persistent loop. My setup includes: Xcode Version: 26.0 beta 2 (17A5241o) macOS Version:15.4.1 (24E263)

Missing crash reports
We can see from App Store Connect under TestFlight tab on the overview that our build got X number of crashes. Problem is that these crashes are not found in Crash feedback tab or not from Xcode Organizer. This problem has been ongoing for us in multiple different app builds now. Is there any suggestions what might cause this problem and how to start solving this? I'm pretty confident that these crashes happen in our network extension (NEPacketTunnelProvider). Note - We have a lot of TestFlight users and to start asking them all separately manual logs from phone might not help us here. (Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements > Analytics Data). Also these crashes have not been reported to us by the users. I suspect that the reason is that the extension kicks automatically back up since we are running VPN there with on demand rules. Meaning that the users might not be able to notice the service crash or shut down because of the automatic restart. Thanks

Build Libraries For Distribution flag usage
I want to build an ios .xcframework (for external delivery) and .framework(for internal debugging) in order to package some code to a customer for incorporation into their app. My framework has a dependency upon RealmSwift, which I've added using SPM. There is a warning saying Module RealmSwift was not compiled with library evolution support. And when building SwiftVerifyEmittedModuleInterface fails with an error saying "missing required modules: 'Realm.Private', 'Realm', 'Realm.Swift'" By default, Build Libraries For Distribution was set to YES, however if I turn it off then the warning and error go away and I can cleanly build the framework. I've been attempting to get a good understanding of this flag and if it should be used or not, most material says yes but doesn't go a good job of explaining why. However anyway I can't get the framework to build with RealmSwift as a dependency without turning off this flag. Therefore is that ok to proceed down that route? Does the fact the xcframework will only ever be distributed to one consumer affect decisions (i.e. binary compatibility etc.) Thanks

unsupported option '-G' for target 'arm64-apple-ios12.0'
I had an Intel macbook and I used that to build and release my app to app store but I didn't release for 2 years. Recently a bug was reported that I needed to update the a code and make a new release with my apple silicon macbook. But I get this issue when I go to Product -> Archive. I tried updating pods, as well as adding following line to the Podfile but no change. platform :ios, "12.0" target "myApp" do use_frameworks! pod "AFNetworking" pod "KVNProgress" pod "GCDWebServer" pod "CocoaLumberjack" pod "Intercom" pod "GoogleWebRTC" pod "SAMKeychain" pod "googleapis", :path => '.' pod 'gRPC', '1.0.0' pod 'gRPC-Core', '1.0.0' pod 'gRPC-ProtoRPC', '1.0.0' pod 'gRPC-RxLibrary', '1.0.0' pod 'BoringSSL-GRPC', '0.0.7' end post_install do |installer| installer.pods_project.targets.each do |target| if target.name == 'BoringSSL-GRPC' target.source_build_phase.files.each do |file| if file.settings && file.settings['COMPILER_FLAGS'] flags = file.settings['COMPILER_FLAGS'].split flags.reject! { |flag| flag == '-GCC_WARN_INHIBIT_ALL_WARNINGS' } file.settings['COMPILER_FLAGS'] = flags.join(' ') end end end end end Nothing worked for me. What do I do now? I appreciate any help

❗️SpeechAnalyzer.framework Not Found in Xcode 26 Beta 2 (17A5241o)
Hi everyone, I’m running into an issue trying to use the new SpeechAnalyzer framework announced at WWDC 2025. ❯ My Setup: • macOS: Sequoia 15.5 (Build 26.0 / macOS Tahoe Beta 26.0) • Xcode: 26.0 beta 2 (17A5241o) • Deployment Target: macOS 26.0 • Toolchain: Clang 17.0.0 (Apple) ❯ Problem: Despite following all setup requirements: • Setting macOS 26 as the deployment target • Using the latest Xcode 26 beta 2 • Running the correct developer toolchain (xcode-select is pointing to Xcode-beta) I still get the error: No such module 'SpeechAnalyzer' Additionally: • The SpeechAnalyzer.framework does not appear under /Applications/Xcode-beta.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/ • It is also not listed in the Link Binary with Libraries pane. ❯ What I’ve Tried: • Clean builds • Deleted DerivedData • Verified SDK installation paths • Reinstalled Xcode 26 beta 2 • find search for SpeechAnalyzer.framework returned nothing ❯ Request: Has anyone successfully used SpeechAnalyzer in Xcode 26 beta 2 on macOS Sequoia/Tahoe? Is there a separate SDK or seed profile required to access this framework? Would appreciate any guidance from Apple engineers or other beta testers. Thanks! — Lalit Lakhara

Why Must All Attributes in a Composite Type Be Optional?
I recently encountered an issue involving Core Data’s new Composite Attributes feature and thought I would share my experience, as well as seek clarification. I created a composite type where all attributes were mandatory, except for one. Subsequently, I added an attribute to an entity and set its type to that composite type. Upon running the app, the console output the following error: CoreData: error: CoreData: error: Row (pk = 85) for entity ‘(EntityName)’ is missing mandatory text data for property ‘(propertyName)’ The way I resolved this was by removing the composite type attribute from the entity, after which the error no longer appeared. I also observed that in another entity, where a different composite type is used, all the attributes were optional — and no error occurred. This raises the question: why must all attributes in a composite type be optional? Furthermore, why does Xcode not inform the developer of this requirement? I have reviewed both the documentation and the WWDC23 “What’s New in Core Data” session, but neither mentions that having non-optional attributes within a composite type will cause such errors and lead to unpredictable application behaviour. Additionally, this issue remains unresolved in another area I raised previously in this topic: Composite Attributes feature requires tvOS deployment target 17.0 or later Composite Attributes feature requires watchOS deployment target 10.0 or later However, I do not have a tvOS or watchOS target, nor do I intend to add one. Could someone from Apple, or anyone with more experience, please clarify why all attributes within a composite type must be optional? And could it be possible for Xcode to flag this at compile time, rather than failing at runtime? Thank you in advance.

Unable to Install Provisioning profile
Hi, I'm unable to install provisioning profile on my iPad and I know the xcode component iOS/iPadOs version and iPadOS version should be same or below the latest compared to xcode components. Now the issue is xcode component version is iOS 18.4 (22E235) SDK + iOS 18.4 (22E238) Simulator (Installed) and iPadOS version is iOS 18.4.1(22E252) could this be cause of issue ? If yes then when will apple release components for 18.4.1? Because iOS 18.4.1 release at least 3-4 weeks before this post.

Need Help Updating a Custom WireGuard SPM for Xcode 16 & Swift 6
Hey iOS Dev's, I’m currently working on a Swift Package Manager (SPM) for WireGuard, originally developed by a previous team member. It was working fine in Xcode 15.2, but after upgrading to Xcode 16 and Swift 6, I need to update the SPM to ensure compatibility with my base projects and other projects relying on it. With Apple making Xcode 16 mandatory for app submissions starting April 24, this has become an urgent issue. I’ve searched extensively but haven’t found a working solution yet. Has anyone faced similar challenges with Swift 6 migration and SPM updates? Any insights, best practices, or debugging tips would be greatly appreciated! Let’s connect and collaborate—I’d love to discuss possible solutions! 😊 #iOSDevelopment #Swift6 #Xcode16 #SPM #WireGuard #iOS #Swift #SoftwareEngineering #AppStore

Invalid binary for tvOS app which integrates an xcframework
We're building an SDK (let's call it MyFramework) which is distributed as an .xcframework for developers to integrate it into their own apps. Recently, we've added tvOS support by adding it as a supported destination for the SDK. Essentially, the SDK became a cross-platform framework and easy to be adopted in both iOS and tvOS apps. The .xcframework is generated fine, all builds correctly. We've tested the SDK integrated in test apps. We've also submitted an iOS archive app to the AppStore connect, just to make sure all is well with the AppStore submission. However, when I tried submitting a tvOS archive app (that integrates the same SDK) to the AppStore connect, the build was marked as invalid binary and we've got the following error message: ITMS-90562: Invalid Bundle - One of the nested bundles is built for a platform which is different from the main bundle platform. Please make sure that all bundles have correct platform specification. First, I thought that any of the modules of the framework was not correctly configured for tvOS but that was not the case. Everything compiles ok and it runs in debug as expected. It only fails when trying to submit the tvOS app that integrates the SDK. After a lot of investigating, we realised that the reason for the AppStore submission error is because we codesign the framework. We use codesign to distribute it as cryptographically signed xcframework. codesign --timestamp -v --sign "Apple Distribution: Company (xxxxxxxxxx)" "MyFramework.xcframework" As soon as we remove the above line from our CI/CD pipeline that generates the xcframework, and submit a tvOS archive app that integrates the unsigned framework, the AppStore submission error goes away and the TestFlight build can be tested. I've also tried to just strip the _CodeSignature folder from the .xcframework package but it still fails. So the only solution currently is to not codesign the xcframework to be able to upload tvOS archive apps that integrate the SDK to the AppStore connect. However, we're still puzzled as to why only the tvOS archive app gets the invalid binary error when it integrates a signed SDK. I feel like the error message is quite misleading if we have to stop signing the SDK xcframework for it to be accepted during the AppStore submission. Anyone has any idea? Or has anyone encountered a similar issue? Thanks!

Stale Issues, refreshAllObjects() is not working
Hi Experts, Could you please help. Issue at high level: After Editing a View contains a Table entries, saved and hit back button to display View, Table entries are duplicated or displaying previous and current entries together. Here is my Issue in detailed. List view display, clicking on any row, would navigate to DisplayView of a record. I am displaying a table in DisplayView. DisplayView contains "row" as parameter, and it must be initialized in "init" method, where I use row.key and fetch another table (say ColorTab) using Color.Key. DisplayView contains "NavigationView", with Edit button. it displays fetched Colors. example Red and Green. when user click on Edit, it takes to EditPage. user can remove / add colors. Once user made changes, saved and hit back button. Table entries are duplicated or showing previous and current entries. Options tried, a) init method is only triggering 1st time, not triggering when back button clicked, I failed to use FetchRequest outside of init method, I tried on OnAppear too. i didn't trigger. b) Failed to use FetchRequest inside of var Body too. c) tried using viewContext.refreshAllObjects() .. it is not refreshing the table. Could you please help if there is solution for the issue. Thanks, Bhanu

AVCaptureSession taking too long in XCode 26 beta 2 debugger
XCode 26 beta 2 is taking more than 20 seconds to start AVCaptureSession when AVCaptureVideoDataOutput and AVCaptureAudioDataOutput are added. The problem occurs only during debugging and is clearly seen with Cinematic Capture sample code by Apple. I am using iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 26 beta 2 for reference.

We using below command to run unit test and collect coverage: xcodebuild -workspace Demo.xcworkspace -scheme VideoTests -configuration Debug -derivedDataPath ../build/derivedData -destination 'platform=iOS Simulator,id=E6630007-570B-4DEB-A023-2BCE91116A8D' -resultBundlePath './fastlane/test_output/VideoTests.xcresult' -enableCodeCoverage YES -testPlan 'Video' test-without-building | tee '/Users/rcadmin/Library/Logs/scan/VideoTests.log' | xcbeautify -q --is-ci and using xcrun llvm-cov show command to generate coverage report: xcrun llvm-cov show /build/unit-test/coverage/libraries/merged/video.o -instr-profile=/app/ios/build/derivedData/Build//ProfileData/E6630007-570B-4DEB-A023-2BCE91116A8D/video.profdata -show-branches count -show-expansions -show-line-counts -use-color -format=html -output-dir coverage and the html report does not include branch coverage: how to generate the branch coverage?

XCode 26 beta 2 build error with AVAsset loading
I have this build error with Xcode 26 beta 2: var asset:AVURLAsset? func loadAsset() { let assetURL = URL.documentsDirectory .appendingPathComponent("sample.mov") asset = AVURLAsset(url: assetURL, options: [AVURLAssetPreferPreciseDurationAndTimingKey: true]) /*Error: Type of expression is ambiguous without a type annotation */ if let result = try? await asset?.load(.tracks, .isPlayable, .isComposable) { } } Is there an issue with try? in the new Swift compiler? Error: Type of expression is ambiguous without a type annotation
