App transferred but app Bundle Id not transferred
When we initiated the app transfer, we were eligible for app transfer and it was transferred as well. But App's bundle identifiers are not transferred yet which is blocking to push new updates. We contacted various time to apple, but we get similar responses. What may be the exact reason that is blocking to transfer the app bundle identifiers. However, app has already been transferred and active from recipient developer account.

NO_CRASH_STACK with different number of crashes from the App Store.
Hello. For the last few months I have been facing a situation for which I do not understand either the reason or the solution. Here is an example for the last few weeks: In App Store Connect it shows 214 crashes for the last week In Xcode it shows 56 crashes for the last 2 weeks without stack traces (NO_CRASH_STACK) In Firebase Crashlytics there is not a single crash. When I click "Show in Finder" it opens a folder with .xccrashpoint files. As far as I understood from the instructions on posting crash reports - this is not what is needed. Interesting point: it looks like the errors occur on iOS 15-16 devices. I have several questions: Why is the number of crashes in Xcode different from the number in App Store Connect? Where are the other crashes? How can I understand what the problem is if there are no stack traces in Xcode?

Best strategy to embed multiple dylibs into frameworks
Hi, I compiled Intel Open Image Denoise library for iOS, and obtained a bunch of dependent dylibs. I want to use these ones in a swift project (via bridging as this is C/C++) targeting the iPad. I understand that it is required to embed these dylibs into frameworks as iOS doesn't allow dylib. Is it necessary to generate one framework for each dylib? If so, how are dependencies between the libraries (and their frameworks) managed? Or, is it possible to generate only one framework embeding all the dependencies?

App Icon Not Showing iSimulator or TestFlight (Assets.xcassets Fully Configured)

Enrollment not processing
I already enrolled and paid for the developer program but on the main developer page it still says "Join the Apple Developer Program" with a button to "Enroll Today" but when I click on it, it redirects me to a page that says "Sorry, you can’t enroll at this time. Your Apple Account is already associated with the Account Holder of a membership." I tried to speak to apple support about it at least a dozen times and they give me no reasonings or anything as to what the issue is and why I'm not able to get past this error. Every time I ask them for any update or an estimate on when I will even get an update, they just say they can't provide any information.

Tabbar UITest bug on tvOS
When running UITests on tvOS, tabBar viewIdentifiers (UIKit) are no longer appearing. When you run the test, accessibility identifiers for tabs are no longer locatable but all other identifiers appears except for the tabs in the tabBar. In the stack trace of the debugger, if I print application, I can see all existing viewIdentifiers except those that were set for the tabs (on tvOS only). If I force an action on the simulator after the app has launched and the view appeared ie move left or right, the identifiers appears (confirmed by stack trace) and the test will continue as expected. This was not an issue in the past (no code changes). I am not sure if this appeared after updating my mac to Sequoia. But for iOS, there is no issue. This bug only appears on tvOS and specifically the tabs. Issue persists on: Sequoia 15.4.1 Xcode 16.3

How can I add a folder to my app's bundle
In previous Xcode versions, it was possible to add a folder reference to a project, and in the copy resources build phase it would copy the folder the bundle, rather than the contents (i.e. the folder's contents would be nested inside a directory named after the folder). In Xcode 16.4, when creating a folder reference, the copy resources build phase will copy the contents of the folder to the bundle at the root level (not nested), like the old behavior when creating a group rather than a folder reference. If you look at the raw project.pbxproj file, it shows up as a "File System Synchronized Root Group" rather than a "File Reference". Is there a way to get the old behavior, aside from hand-editing the project.pbxproj file?

Trackpad Right-Click (Two-Finger Tap) Support in Linux Guests – macOS Virtualization Framework
Hello, I'm developing a macOS application that uses the Virtualization framework to run Linux virtual machines (specifically Ubuntu and Fedora) on Apple Silicon Macs. I've noticed that while the macOS host properly supports all trackpad gestures, the two-finger tap gesture for right-click does not work within the Linux guest. Only the primary click is recognized. This behavior is consistent across different Linux distributions and desktop environments (GNOME, KDE, etc.). I would like to confirm: Is the macOS Virtualization framework expected to support trackpad gestures such as two-finger tap for right-click within Linux guest VMs? If not currently supported, is there a known workaround to enable right-click functionality for the trackpad in Linux guests? (e.g., configuration changes in the VM, Linux kernel input modules, or framework-level adjustments.) Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

My app crashes and I don't know why

Prevent backing up large Xcode files
I'm primarily an iOS developer. Every day that I develop, Mac Time Machine backs up a gigabyte or more of data. I'm trying to reduce that as much as possible. No data involving the simulators seems important enough to backup. If I ever need to restore Xcode, I'd reinstall rather than restore from Time Machine. But I'd want to back up code snippets, etc. What are the best practices to prevent large amounts of Xcode or simulator data from being backed up?

Does Xcode still support capturing GPU workload for OpenGLES game app on iOS?
As far as I know, there was a time that you can capture GPU workload for opengles game app on iOS using Xcode. However, currently I'm using Xcode version 15.2 and iOS18,it seems the "capture GPU workload" button is always disabled when I'm trying to debug my game app which is using opengles api for graphics rendering no matter switchinng "GPU Frame Capture" to "OpenGL ES" or "Metal" or "Automatically" in the scheme. And I'm not able to capture GPU workload for my game on iOS. The only way to make the "capture GPU workload" button enabled is creating a new project using metal api for graphics rendering. But I don't want to change the graphics API, because it will cause a lot. Does Xcode still support capturing GPU workload for OpenGLES game app on iOS? If not, is there an alternative way?

How can you communicate that a .xcframework is a dependency OF the swift package inside Swift package definition?
I am sort of trying to do the opposite of what others are doing. I have a target called CopyFramework that creates a CopyFramework.framework within my main xcproj file. I set up this target because a specific framework (we can call it Tools.xcframework) is distributed as a binary. That framework file lives within the code. Tools.xcframework is structured like so Tools.xcframework (Coding/testBuild/DynamicToolFrameworks/Tools.xcframework) info.plist ios-arm64/ Tools.xcframework/ Tools (executable file) Tools.bundle Headers/ Info.plist Modules/ Tools.swiftmodule/ arm64-apple-ios.abi.json arm64-apple-ios.private.swiftinterface arm64-apple-ios.swiftdoc arm64-apple-ios.swiftinterface module.modulemap module.private.modulemap PrivateHeaders/ ios-arm64_x86_64-simulator/ When the CopyFramework target is run xcode does a few steps which copy the correct version of this framework to derived data. Running the CopyFramework target processes the Tools.xcframework and copies the proper xcframework sub folder to Derived data and the Swift Package build system seems to be able to see it. Is there a way I can get rid of this manual step? Make it so that when I build the CoreObjC target (swift package) that either CopyFramework is run or some other process is run to get the proper xcframework out of Coding/testBuild/DynamicToolFrameworks/Tools.xcframework and into DerivedData? Is it even theoretically possible to have a Swift Package reference a target in a normal xcproj file?

Code signing error when building an application with login item on xcode cloud
When building xcode project of an application with login item included/embedded (another target), locally it works without problems. But when building on xcode cloud, we are getting the error: ITMS-90286: Invalid code signing entitlements - Your application bundle’s signature contains code signing entitlements that aren’t supported on macOS. Specifically, the “XXX.***.***” value for the com.apple.application-identifier key in “Path_to_login_Item” isn’t supported. This value should be a string that starts with your Team ID, followed by a dot (“.”), followed by the bundle ID. If there are no capabilities added to the login item's target (only com.apple.security.inherit and App Sandbox), the project builds without errors. But our login item needs to access a database in app group container and sync its data with iCloud, so after adding iCloud and App Group entitlements, building on xcode cloud fails with the error written above. Locally it builds and runs without problems. So, what should be done to fix this issue when building on xcode cloud?

cross device locale appname search
Hello Developers, On ios device i recently installed Teams, Instagram and facebook apps.When i change the device language/locale appname remains same i.e in english. All three apps i m able to search with it japanese translation like Teams ->チーム, Instagram->インスタグラム, Facebook ->フェイスブック when device locale in english or japanese.How can i achieve this?.Any suggestion up will be helpful.

xcode 16.3 now not selecting correct Signing Certificate with Automatically Manage Signing Selected
HI, I upgraded to macos 15.5 and xcode 16.3. Last year I was able to update one of my apps on the App Store without issues. Today, after a successful Testflight test, I now need to submit a new version of my app to the App Store for Distribution as the next version/build. However, when I configure a manual setting for the signing, I can select the correct choices. But when I click automatically manage signing, and choose the correct team, xcode put in the wrong signing certificate. It is choose a development one, and not the distribution one. I am concerned about this since I have read that when using the Archive tool, it choses the automatically manage signing by default. And that check box is selecting the "default" settings. I do not know where these default settings are being set, or how to fix this issue. I do not see any info in my searching up to this point. I hope someone can help. thank you, cc

App Not Archiving After Update

Trackpad Right-Click (Two-Finger Tap) Support in Linux Guests – macOS Virtualization Framework
Hello, I'm developing a macOS application that uses the Virtualization framework to run Linux virtual machines (specifically Ubuntu and Fedora) on Apple Silicon Macs. I've noticed that while the macOS host properly supports all trackpad gestures, the two-finger tap gesture for right-click does not work within the Linux guest. Only the primary click is recognized. This behavior is consistent across different Linux distributions and desktop environments (GNOME, KDE, etc.). I would like to confirm: Is the macOS Virtualization framework expected to support trackpad gestures such as two-finger tap for right-click within Linux guest VMs? If not currently supported, is there a known workaround to enable right-click functionality for the trackpad in Linux guests? (e.g., configuration changes in the VM, Linux kernel input modules, or framework-level adjustments.) Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

My app crashes and I don't know why

Prevent backing up large Xcode files
I'm primarily an iOS developer. Every day that I develop, Mac Time Machine backs up a gigabyte or more of data. I'm trying to reduce that as much as possible. No data involving the simulators seems important enough to backup. If I ever need to restore Xcode, I'd reinstall rather than restore from Time Machine. But I'd want to back up code snippets, etc. What are the best practices to prevent large amounts of Xcode or simulator data from being backed up?

Does Xcode still support capturing GPU workload for OpenGLES game app on iOS?
As far as I know, there was a time that you can capture GPU workload for opengles game app on iOS using Xcode. However, currently I'm using Xcode version 15.2 and iOS18,it seems the "capture GPU workload" button is always disabled when I'm trying to debug my game app which is using opengles api for graphics rendering no matter switchinng "GPU Frame Capture" to "OpenGL ES" or "Metal" or "Automatically" in the scheme. And I'm not able to capture GPU workload for my game on iOS. The only way to make the "capture GPU workload" button enabled is creating a new project using metal api for graphics rendering. But I don't want to change the graphics API, because it will cause a lot. Does Xcode still support capturing GPU workload for OpenGLES game app on iOS? If not, is there an alternative way?

How can you communicate that a .xcframework is a dependency OF the swift package inside Swift package definition?
I am sort of trying to do the opposite of what others are doing. I have a target called CopyFramework that creates a CopyFramework.framework within my main xcproj file. I set up this target because a specific framework (we can call it Tools.xcframework) is distributed as a binary. That framework file lives within the code. Tools.xcframework is structured like so Tools.xcframework (Coding/testBuild/DynamicToolFrameworks/Tools.xcframework) info.plist ios-arm64/ Tools.xcframework/ Tools (executable file) Tools.bundle Headers/ Info.plist Modules/ Tools.swiftmodule/ arm64-apple-ios.abi.json arm64-apple-ios.private.swiftinterface arm64-apple-ios.swiftdoc arm64-apple-ios.swiftinterface module.modulemap module.private.modulemap PrivateHeaders/ ios-arm64_x86_64-simulator/ When the CopyFramework target is run xcode does a few steps which copy the correct version of this framework to derived data. Process Tools.xcframework (iOS) Coding/testBuild/DynamicToolFrameworks/Tools.xcframework /Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/testBuild-sha/Build/Products/Debug-iphoneos/Tools.framework ios cd /Users/calebkierum/Coding/testBuild builtin-process-xcframework --xcframework Coding/testBuild/DynamicToolFrameworks/Tools.xcframework --platform ios --target-path Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/testBuild-sha/Build/Products/Debug-iphoneos Meaning essentially that the Tools.xcframework for the proper platform is taken from Tools.xcframework/ios-arm64 and copied to Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/testBuild-sha/Build/Products/Debug-iphoneos/Tools.xcframework I am writing a Swift Package that needs to be able to reference the correct Tools.xcframework. If I do run the target CopyFramework followed by building CoreObjC it works though (so long as you comment out the bits trying to reference CopyFramework). Running the CopyFramework target processes the Tools.xcframework and copies the proper xcframework sub folder to Derived data and the Swift Package build system seems to be able to see it. Is there a way I can get rid of this manual step? Make it so that when I build the CoreObjC target (swift package) that either CopyFramework is run or some other process is run to get the proper xcframework out of Coding/testBuild/DynamicToolFrameworks/Tools.xcframework and into DerivedData? Is it even theoretically possible to have a Swift Package reference a target in a normal xcproj file?

Code signing error when building an application with login item on xcode cloud
When building xcode project of an application with login item included/embedded (another target), locally it works without problems. But when building on xcode cloud, we are getting the error: ITMS-90286: Invalid code signing entitlements - Your application bundle’s signature contains code signing entitlements that aren’t supported on macOS. Specifically, the “XXX.***.***” value for the com.apple.application-identifier key in “Path_to_login_Item” isn’t supported. This value should be a string that starts with your Team ID, followed by a dot (“.”), followed by the bundle ID. If there are no capabilities added to the login item's target (only com.apple.security.inherit and App Sandbox), the project builds without errors. But our login item needs to access a database in app group container and sync its data with iCloud, so after adding iCloud and App Group entitlements, building on xcode cloud fails with the error written above. Locally it builds and runs without problems. So, what should be done to fix this issue when building on xcode cloud?

cross device locale appname search
Hello Developers, On ios device i recently installed Teams, Instagram and facebook apps.When i change the device language/locale appname remains same i.e in english. All three apps i m able to search with it japanese translation like Teams ->チーム, Instagram->インスタグラム, Facebook ->フェイスブック when device locale in english or japanese.How can i achieve this?.Any suggestion up will be helpful.

xcode 16.3 now not selecting correct Signing Certificate with Automatically Manage Signing Selected
HI, I upgraded to macos 15.5 and xcode 16.3. Last year I was able to update one of my apps on the App Store without issues. Today, after a successful Testflight test, I now need to submit a new version of my app to the App Store for Distribution as the next version/build. However, when I configure a manual setting for the signing, I can select the correct choices. But when I click automatically manage signing, and choose the correct team, xcode put in the wrong signing certificate. It is choose a development one, and not the distribution one. I am concerned about this since I have read that when using the Archive tool, it choses the automatically manage signing by default. And that check box is selecting the "default" settings. I do not know where these default settings are being set, or how to fix this issue. I do not see any info in my searching up to this point. I hope someone can help. thank you, cc
