Issue with CBConnectPeripheralOptionNotifyOnConnectionKey Not Triggering Alert When Reconnecting in Background
I'm working with CBConnectPeripheralOptionNotifyOnConnectionKey, and my understanding is that it should trigger an alert when a reconnection occurs while the central app is in the background. To test this, I've set up two separate iPhone devices—one acting as the peripheral and the other as the central. The process I'm using is as follows: The central app connects to the peripheral app. I then switch to a different app on the central device, which causes the central app to go into the background. I manually disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth on the central device, which should trigger the peripheral app to reestablish the connection. However, despite the central app being in the background, I don't see the expected alert on the central side. The connection reestablishes correctly, but no alert appears. I would appreciate any insights on what might be causing this issue or if I'm misunderstanding the behavior of CBConnectPeripheralOptionNotifyOnConnectionKey. I'd be happy to provide more specific code or logs if needed. Thanks in advance! I’m relatively new to Core Bluetooth and feel like I’ve explored most of the options, but I’m still encountering this issue.

Assistance Required for Accessing Non-Secure HTTP API in Ionic Build App
Dear Team, I was previously able to access a non-secure HTTP API in my Ionic-built app. However, I am now encountering an error where the API requests are being rejected. Interestingly, this API works perfectly on Android and web platforms without any issues. As part of my troubleshooting, I have already added the following lines to my Info.plist file: <key>NSAppTransportSecurity</key> <dict> <key>NSAllowsArbitraryLoads</key> <true/> </dict> Could you kindly suggest any alternative solutions or additional settings required to access this HTTP API? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mozib

App review delay for critical bug fix in Trizz app
Is there anyone here who can provide an answer, or is it related to someone who belongs to the App Review department at Apple? We uploaded an app to the App Store and discovered a bug that disables activity. We uploaded an update with the bug fix and now we are waiting for Apple to review the latest version and approve uploading it to the store. Thousands of users are waiting and leaving us. Losses of a lot of money and more importantly - a bad user experience. If there is anyone here who can help us, or knows someone who can speed up the process, we are more than happy!!! It is critical and urgent. And yes, we signed up for Apple's fast track program... It didn't help. Thanks!

Issue with page.selectionForWord(at:) in Mac Designed for iPad Mode
I’m encountering an issue with the page.selectionForWord(at:) method in my application. This method has stopped working in Mac Designed for iPad mode. The functionality works fine on physical devices such as iPhone and iPad, as well as on Mac, but in this specific mode, the method no longer works, and the application crashes. It is crucial for me that this functionality works in Mac Designed for iPad mode, as rewriting the entire code for Mac would be too time-consuming, especially considering the size of the application. Interestingly, a similar method, page.selectionForLine(at:), works perfectly with the same parameters in all environments, including the Mac Designed for iPad mode. This makes the issue even more puzzling. The issue began after the latest update. The app no longer responds to the page.selectionForWord(at:) method, which causes the application to crash. I have attached a test app to reproduce the error.

Development and testing on different machines
Hi developers, I'm searching for a kind of way of working to develop my apps on a different machine than testing and final building. For development I have a MacBook Pro m4 and for testing I want to outsource this to a Mac mini m1. I was searching for a solution and also contacted the support, but the answer wasn't really helpful. Any ideas how to setup this configuration to automate this kind of tests? Thanks a lot!

Issue with Custom Error Message on invalidate in CoreNFC APDU Tag Reader Session
Hi everyone, I'm working on an NFC-related app using CoreNFC with APDU commands to read and write tags. I’ve encountered an issue when trying to handle the scenario where the user cancels the NFC session. Here’s what’s happening: When a user cancels the NFC session manually (e.g., by tapping "Cancel"), I see an error log indicating tagReaderSession|userCancelled. However, when I explicitly call session.invalidate(errorMessage: "No NFC tag found") in my code to handle a scenario where no tag is detected, the session still shows the error as userCancelled instead of my custom error message. This behavior is confusing both in terms of debugging and for providing feedback to users, as I expect my custom message to appear instead of the generic "user cancelled" message. func tagReaderSessionDidBecomeActive(_ session: NFCTagReaderSession) { // Session becomes active } func tagReaderSession(_ session: NFCTagReaderSession, didDetect tags: [NFCTag]) { // Handle tag detection logic } func tagReaderSession(_ session: NFCTagReaderSession, didInvalidateWithError error: Error) { print("Session invalidated with error: \(error.localizedDescription)") } func handleNoTagDetected(session: NFCTagReaderSession) { session.invalidate(errorMessage: "No NFC tag found") } I call handleNoTagDetected(session:) explicitly when no tag is detected, expecting the custom error message to show. However, the system still shows the cancellation error. Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Is this the intended behavior for CoreNFC, or am I missing something in my implementation? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Why are asynchronous tasks not executed in Xcode Canvas, and why do they only work in the simulator?
Hi everyone, I'm new to Xcode and iOS development. I've encountered an issue where asynchronous tasks seem to not execute in Xcode Canvas, but they work fine in the simulator. Can anyone explain why this might be happening or what I could do to fix it? Thank you for your help! struct PartnerProfileView: View { @State private var showSheet: Bool = true let partnerName: String var body: some View { ZStack(alignment: .bottom) { Color("EFEFF4_0F2534") ScrollView(showsIndicators: false) { headerSection() infoSection() .padding(.bottom, 5) sectionTitle("Other Skills") skillsGrid() sectionTitle("···") dynamicsSection() } .frame(maxWidth: .infinity, maxHeight: .infinity) CustomTabBar() } .navigationBarHidden(true) .ignoresSafeArea(edges: .all) .onAppear { print("PartnerProfileView received") Task { await BottomCustomPopup().present() } } .onChange(of: showSheet) { oldState, newValue in print("oldState \(oldState)") print("newValue \(newValue)") } } } //@MainActor struct BottomCustomPopup: BottomPopup { var body: some View { HStack(spacing: 0) { Text("Hello World") Spacer() Button(action: { Task { await dismissLastPopup() }}) { Text("Dismiss") } } .padding(.vertical, 20) .padding(.leading, 24) .padding(.trailing, 16) } }

Reusing string catalog translations in swift packages
Setup I have 2 swift packages and I try to use stirng catalog to manage your localizations I would like to use some specific keys in these packages and some common ones (e.g. "ok_button_tittle") Problem statement I really don't like the idea of creating separate (but the same) translations in these packages I have tried using something like String( localized: "ok_button_title", table: "Localizable", bundle: .main, comment: "Ok button title" ) This does use translations from the main bundle, however this does not automatically create the keys in string catalog Question Is there any possibility to reuse the translations from the main bundle? Maybe there is a hack to make the keys appear automatically in the correct bundle? Or is it a bug?

Scipy problems with OpenBLAS and Accelerate
I'm using M1pro and have successfully installed Numpy with Accelerate following, and it really speedup my programs. I also ran np.test() to check the correctness and every test passed. However, I can't install Scipy with Accelerate, since the official document said Accelerate has a LAPACK of too old version. I can't even find a scipy that can pass scipy.test(). I tried the codes below: conda install numpy 'libblas=*=*accelerate' conda install scipy np.test() as fails, sp.test() can't even finish conda install numpy 'libblas=*=*openblas' conda install scipy Both np.test() and sp.test() can finish, but with many failures. I believe the bugs are due to Conda. pip install --no-binary :all: --no-use-pep517 numpy pip install scipy np.test() has no failure and went fast, sp.test() uses OpenBLAS and has 3 failures. This is the best version I have found. So my question is: can we find a reliable version of scipy on M1? Considering the popularity of scipy, I think it's not a high-living expectation. And a question for Apple: is there really a plan to upgrade the LAPACK in Accelerate?

Configure Format to Multiple Lines?
Is there any way to modify the behaviour of this command? I really dislike that it adds a break after the opening parenthesis and would also prefer it to use the traditional multi-line style where the lines are aligned with their semicolons. Alternatively, is there a way to run the "Format File with 'swift-format'" command without implicitly triggering "Format to Multiple Lines", as it apparently does? Having to reformat my method's signatures afterwards really makes this feature unattractive to me at the moment.

Adding Fonts in Xcode 16.1 Causes XIB Files to Malfunction
I encountered a problem when adding a new custom font in Xcode 16.1. After including the font and opening my XIB files, the interface preview became blank and the application seemed to experience a heavy load. To troubleshoot, I removed all custom fonts, and everything returned to normal functionality. However, even after reinstalling Xcode, the issue persisted when adding the font again. The XIB preview loaded correctly: The XIB preview turned blank and became unresponsive:

Fairplay 4.x Certificate Revocation
I created a fairplay.cer file using the below commands : openssl genrsa -out private_key.pem 1024 openssl req -new -key private_key.pem -out request.csr Here, I manually entered the Country, Organization, etc. I was supposed to use the below commands to make the same : openssl genrsa -aes256 -out privatekey.pem 1024 opensslreq-new-sha1-keyprivatekey.pem-outcertreq.csr-subj "/CN=SubjectName /OU=OrganizationalUnit /O=Organization /C=US" Owing to this, I am unable to create a .p12 file through Keychain Access. I thus want to generate a new fairplay.cer file for Fairplay 4.x. I want to revoke the certificate in order to generate a new one (as it has a limit of 1 certificate for Fairplay) Requesting developer support from Apple. Have raised multiple requests over the past 4 days.

Why is data not encrypted on icloud.developer.apple.com when i am using encrypted field
Here is my sample code of integration with iCloud let dbName = "GroceryItem1" let fieldName = "todoTitle1" @objc func saveItem(name: String) { let record = CKRecord(recordType: dbName) record.encryptedValues[fieldName] = name database.save(record) { record, error in if error == nil { DispatchQueue.main.asyncAfter(deadline: .now() + 2) { self.fetchItems() } } else { print("Error saving item: \(error?.localizedDescription ?? "Unknown error")") } } } Now my code works fine but what i don't understand is when i login to icloud.developer.apple.com why am i able to see the data, why is it not encrypted? My database is private as well If i go to record types i can see the recordfield is encrypted as shown in below screenshot
