Integrating binary inside Framework via SPM
So I will summary an issue one of our clients has asked us on GitHub: https://github.com/pendo-io/pendo-mobile-sdk/issues/233 Project that is a custom framework that uses different SPM packages (one of them is Binary package), we have our main logic inside that framework and we have different targets that use this framework, everything works on the simulator, but running the app on the actual device provokes a crash saying "Binary framework was not found". We have like 20 other SPM packages that work fine, this is the first one we have an issue with. Please note I understand that SPM will not copy paste the Binary for the magic framework as it does for the apps so I suggested to embed it manually. So my question is what the best(easy) way to do it. Please refer to the following issue for more details: https://github.com/pendo-io/pendo-mobile-sdk/issues/233

Xcode 16.3 C++ compiler makes binaries with corrupted memory.
I am creating an xcframework for a static library for iOS, but I am encountering a perplexing issue with Xcode 16.3. When I build an xcframework using C++ in one project and import it into another project, the application runs with corrupted memory. In the framework project, I use os_unfair_lock, but when attempting to lock, the app crashes due to a state error. This suggests that memory corruption is occurring. When the xcframework is built with Xcode 16.2, a proper binary is generated, and the app runs without any problems. Since I do not want to disclose the source code, I am trying to construct a minimal project that reproduces the issue, but so far I have not been successful. Fundamentally, I feel that the compiler in Xcode 16.3 cannot be trusted.

Need Help Updating a Custom WireGuard SPM for Xcode 16 & Swift 6
Hey iOS Dev's, I’m currently working on a Swift Package Manager (SPM) for WireGuard, originally developed by a previous team member. It was working fine in Xcode 15.2, but after upgrading to Xcode 16 and Swift 6, I need to update the SPM to ensure compatibility with my base projects and other projects relying on it. With Apple making Xcode 16 mandatory for app submissions starting April 24, this has become an urgent issue. I’ve searched extensively but haven’t found a working solution yet. Has anyone faced similar challenges with Swift 6 migration and SPM updates? Any insights, best practices, or debugging tips would be greatly appreciated! Let’s connect and collaborate—I’d love to discuss possible solutions! 😊 #iOSDevelopment #Swift6 #Xcode16 #SPM #WireGuard #iOS #Swift #SoftwareEngineering #AppStore

How to retrieve required Apple Pay parameters for PayFort payment request in Swift?
I'm integrating Apple Pay with PayFort in a Swift iOS application, and I’m currently working on preparing a valid purchase request using Apple Pay, as described in PayFort’s documentation: 🔗 https://docsbeta.payfort.com/docs/api/build/index.html?shell#apple-pay-authorization-purchase-request The documentation outlines the following required parameters: apple_data apple_signature apple_header apple_transactionId apple_ephemeralPublicKey apple_publicKeyHash apple_paymentMethod apple_displayName apple_network apple_type Optional: apple_applicationData I understand these should be derived from the PKPayment object after Apple Pay authorization, but I’m having trouble mapping everything correctly. Here’s what I’m seeing in code: payment.token // Returns something like: <PKPaymentToken: 0x28080ae80; transactionIdentifier: "..."; paymentData: 3780 bytes> payment.token.paymentData // Contains 3780 bytes of encrypted data payment.token.paymentData.base64EncodedString() // Returns a long base64 string, which at first glance seems like it could be used for apple_data, // but PayFort doesn't accept it as-is — so this value appears to be incomplete or incorrectly formatted I can successfully retrieve the following values from payment.token.paymentMethod: apple_displayName apple_network apple_type However, I’m still unsure how to extract or build the following in the format accepted by PayFort: apple_data apple_signature apple_header apple_transactionId apple_ephemeralPublicKey apple_publicKeyHash apple_paymentMethod These may be contained within the paymentData JSON, but I’m not sure how to decode it or if Apple allows decrypting it in a way that matches PayFort’s expected format. How can I correctly extract or build apple_data, apple_signature, and apple_header from the Apple Pay token? Also, how should I handle the decryption or decoding (if necessary) of paymentData to retrieve values like apple_transactionId, apple_ephemeralPublicKey, and apple_publicKeyHash? If anyone has successfully set this up or has example code that bridges Apple Pay and PayFort’s expected request format, it would be super helpful! Thanks in advance 🙏

Very hard Watch communication after update of Xcode, MacOs, Watch OS ?

I have a lot of alert box, messages in the "device & Simulator" tool like this Previous preparation error: A connection to this device could not be established.; Timed out while attempting to establish tunnel using negotiated network parameters. And many message telling me that Xcode is preparing the Watch , then that it has lost the connexion. I have to wait some minutes after EACH run of the App to test it again. This is very annoying . Some of the alerts I have : And the best to know , is that I can run the APP outside of Xcode , it works, Connects to the iPhone, fetch data and so. the iPhone sees the Watch without and problem. Reboots can solve for a few minutes the problem. But that is not a solution.

Xcode 16.1 hang after adding Store Kit configuration
I don't know Xcode very well, and had been using it sporadically to test a project exported from Unity. I recently added a StoreKit Configuration to the project, and since then it gives me ≈10s after launching before the beach ball appears, and it never leaves. Xcode says it is "Indexing" but I don't know if that's an obvious culprit. I can still build my project via the fastlane tool, on the command line, and the newly-added StoreKit configuration works just fine. But I cannot use Xcode interactively any more, unless I re-export the project from Unity. The only difference between it working and hanging is the Store Kit configuration. How do I understand what's going on, and (ideally) fix it? The Activity Monitor gives a bunch of backtraces that don't have an obvious network or I/O culprit in them.

xcode 16.3 now not selecting correct Signing Certificate with Automatically Manage Signing Selected
HI, I upgraded to macos 15.5 and xcode 16.3. Last year I was able to update one of my apps on the App Store without issues. Today, after a successful Testflight test, I now need to submit a new version of my app to the App Store for Distribution as the next version/build. However, when I configure a manual setting for the signing, I can select the correct choices. But when I click automatically manage signing, and choose the correct team, xcode put in the wrong signing certificate. It is choose a development one, and not the distribution one. I am concerned about this since I have read that when using the Archive tool, it choses the automatically manage signing by default. And that check box is selecting the "default" settings. I do not know where these default settings are being set, or how to fix this issue. I do not see any info in my searching up to this point. I hope someone can help. thank you, cc

ncorrect Beta Xcode Error
Unable to Submit iOS App for App Review Due to Incorrect Beta Xcode Error I'm encountering an issue when trying to submit a new build of my iOS app to the App Store. The app launches from TestFlight without any problems, but when attempting to submit it for App Review, I get the following error: "This build is using a beta version of Xcode and can’t be submitted." However, I'm not using a beta version of Xcode. I've tested this with both the public releases of Xcode 16.3 and 16.2. The build logs show no issues with the SDK or Platform versions, but in App Store Connect, the metadata is displaying the following: Build SDK: $(SDK_PRODUCT_BUILD_VERSION) Build Platform: $(PLATFORM_PRODUCT_BUILD_VERSION) any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

[Help] Xcode device debugging of iOS 18.4 / 18.5 is very slow, and it is suspected to be stuck in the stage of loading dynamic libraries in debugserver
Environment Xcode version: Xcode 16.0 iOS device system version: iOS 18.4 / 18.5 Problem description When debugging iOS 18.4/18.5 on a real device, the App starts very slowly after clicking Run, usually taking 2-3 minutes, which is much slower than iOS 18.3. It manifests as Xcode staying in the Launch stage for a long time, and the application stuck in the opening screen interface. Start the APP first, then attach the process, and this problem will not exist Location process Use lldb to enable logs log enable gdb-remote packets After observing the logs, it was found that: The jam mainly occurs when processing two data packets: jGetLoadedDynamicLibrariesInfos and qProcessInfo These two commands involve dynamic library loading information and process meta information, and the response time is much higher than the normal level, far exceeding other gdb-remote instructions Use Instruments / Profiler to analyze: The CPU peak of the real machine debugserver is concentrated in the dynamic library information loading process of _dyld_process_info_create Is there a way to deploy a modified debugserver on the real machine to further locate the problem How to enable and view the debugsever log to further locate the problem

Upload Symbols Failed when Archiving with Xcode 16
Hello everyone, We are seeing some warnings in Xcode 16 when I archive my iOS app for distribution. During the upload phase (either via Xcode Organizer ), I get an error like: WARNING: Upload Symbols Failed The archive did not include a dSYM for MyFramework.framework with the UUIDs: XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX Ensure that the archive’s dSYM folder includes a DWARF file for MyFramework.framework with the expected UUIDs. Question: How can these warnings be fixed? Is this warning safe to ignore if I know the vendor does not supply a dSYM for their framework? If I do need a proper dSYM for full symbolication, how should I request it from the vendor or generate it myself from an XCFramework?

ncorrect Beta Xcode Error
Unable to Submit iOS App for App Review Due to Incorrect Beta Xcode Error I'm encountering an issue when trying to submit a new build of my iOS app to the App Store. The app launches from TestFlight without any problems, but when attempting to submit it for App Review, I get the following error: "This build is using a beta version of Xcode and can’t be submitted." However, I'm not using a beta version of Xcode. I've tested this with both the public releases of Xcode 16.3 and 16.2. The build logs show no issues with the SDK or Platform versions, but in App Store Connect, the metadata is displaying the following: Build SDK: $(SDK_PRODUCT_BUILD_VERSION) Build Platform: $(PLATFORM_PRODUCT_BUILD_VERSION) any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

iOS Simulator (18.4) crashes when user clicks allow for Speech Recognition permission popup
When a new application runs on iOS 18.4 simulator and tries to access the Speech Framework, prompting a request for authorisation to use Speech Recognition, the application will crash if the user clicks allow. Same issue in the visionOS 2.4 simulator. Using Swift 6. Report Identifier: FB17686186 /// Checks speech recognition availability and requests necessary permissions. @MainActor func checkAvailabilityAndPermissions() async { logger.debug("Checking speech recognition availability and permissions...") // 1. Verify that the speechRecognizer instance exists guard let recognizer = speechRecognizer else { logger.error("Speech recognizer is nil - speech recognition won't be available.") reportError(.configurationError(description: "Speech recognizer could not be created."), context: "checkAvailabilityAndPermissions") self.isAvailable = false return } // 2. Check recognizer availability (might change at runtime) if !recognizer.isAvailable { logger.error("Speech recognizer is not available for the current locale.") reportError(.configurationError(description: "Speech recognizer not available."), context: "checkAvailabilityAndPermissions") self.isAvailable = false return } logger.trace("Speech recognizer exists and is available.") // 3.
