UITextField and UITextView abnormally popped up the network permission application interface
in iOS26.4, after installing the app for the first time, opening the app and clicking on the UITextField input box will trigger the system to pop up the network permission application interface. This issue did not exist before iOS 26.3, only in iOS 26.4. This is a fatal bug where the network permission request box should not pop up when the developer has not called the network related API.

Bug: Wi-Fi Aware (NAN) Subscriber Mode: nwPath.availableInterfaces Does Not Include nan0 Interface After Successful Peer Connection
When using the official Wi-Fi Aware demo app on iOS, with the iOS device configured as a NAN Subscriber, after successfully establishing a peer-to-peer connection with another device via Wi-Fi Aware (NAN), the network path object nwPath.availableInterfaces does not list the nan0 virtual network interface. The nan0 interface is the dedicated NAN (Neighbor Aware Networking) interface used for Wi-Fi Aware data communication. Its absence from availableInterfaces prevents the app from correctly identifying/using the NAN data path, breaking expected Wi-Fi Aware data transmission logic. log: iOS works as subscriber: [onPathUpdate] newPath.availableInterfaces: ["en0"] iOS works as publisher: [onPathUpdate] newPath.availableInterfaces: ["nan0"]

Calling SecKeychainUnlock with a locked keychain and an invalid password returns errSecSuccess on macOS 26.4
Hi, In the app I’m working on, we rely on SecKeychainUnlock to verify that a password can be used to unlock the login keychain. When macOS 26.4 rolled out, we started getting bug reports that led me to a discovery that makes me think SecKeychainUnlock behavior was changed. I’m going to illustrate my findings with a sample code: #include <pwd.h> #include <stdio.h> #include <string.h> #include <unistd.h> #include <Security/SecKeychain.h> #pragma clang diagnostic ignored "-Wdeprecated-declarations" int main(void) { char password[100]; printf("password: "); scanf("%s", password); struct passwd *home = getpwuid(getuid()); if (!(home && home->pw_dir)) return 1; char path[1024]; strcat(path, home->pw_dir); strcat(path, "/Library/Keychains/login.keychain-db"); SecKeychainRef keychain = NULL; OSStatus result = SecKeychainOpen(path, &keychain); if (result != errSecSuccess) { fprintf(stderr, "SecKeychainOpen failed (error %d)\n", result); return 1; } SecKeychainStatus status = 0; result = SecKeychainGetStatus(keychain, &status); if (result != errSecSuccess) { fprintf(stderr, "SecKeychainGetStatus failed (error %d)\n", result); return 1; } if (status & kSecUnlockStateStatus) { printf("keychain is unlocked, will try to lock first\n"); result = SecKeychainLock(keychain); if (result != errSecSuccess) { fprintf(stderr, "SecKeychainLock failed (error %d)\n", result); return 1; } printf("SecKeychainLock succeeded\n"); } else { printf("keychain is locked\n"); } result = SecKeychainUnlock(keychain, strlen(password), password, TRUE); if (result == errSecSuccess) { printf("SecKeychainUnlock succeeded\n"); printf("password '%s' appears to be valid\n", password); } else { printf("SecKeychainUnlock failed (error %d)\n", result); printf("password '%s' appears to be invalid\n", password); } return 0; } Here are the outputs of this program on a machine running macOS 26.3 when provided with a correct password deadbeef and with an incorrect password foobar: testuser1@tahoe1 kcdebug % ./kcdebug password: deadbeef keychain is unlocked, will try to lock first SecKeychainLock succeeded SecKeychainUnlock succeeded password 'deadbeef' appears to be valid testuser1@tahoe1 kcdebug % ./kcdebug password: foobar keychain is unlocked, will try to lock first SecKeychainLock succeeded SecKeychainUnlock failed (error -25293) password 'foobar' appears to be invalid And here are the outputs of this program on a machine running macOS 26.4: testuser1@tahoe2 kcdebug % ./kcdebug password: deadbeef keychain is unlocked, will try to lock first SecKeychainLock succeeded SecKeychainUnlock succeeded password 'deadbeef' appears to be valid testuser1@tahoe2 kcdebug % ./kcdebug password: foobar keychain is unlocked, will try to lock first SecKeychainLock succeeded SecKeychainUnlock succeeded password 'foobar' appears to be valid I’m prepared to send a feedback with Feedback Assistant, but I would like to get a confirmation that this is indeed a bug and not an intended change in behavior. I would also like to know what are my options now. SecKeychainUnlock is just a means to an end; what I really need is the ability to keep the keychain password in sync with the user password when the latter is changed by our program. Thanks in advance.

SwiftData property marked ephemeral getting persisted in CloudKit
Am I misunderstanding the expected behavior here, or is there a bug in the behavior of @Attribute(.ephemeral) tagged SwiftData model properties? The documentation for .ephemeral says "Track changes to this property but do not persist". I started using .ephemeral because @Transient was inhibiting SwiftUI from reacting to changes to the property through @Observable. I am updating the value of my @Attribute(.ephemeral) property about once a second and I am seeing corresponding console log output showing the property as part of the generated CKRecord object. I then confirmed in the CloudKit dev portal that the .ephemeral property was added to the Record schema and contains real values. The behavior seems as though the .ephemeral property is being completely ignored. This is observed in a new Xcode project using SwiftData with CloudKit, Xcode 16.2, macOS 15.3.1 and during Build & Run testing on physical devices.

Notarization stuck in “In Progress” for all submissions since April 4th
Hi, I’ve been successfully using notarization with notarytool for over a month (20+ submissions, all accepted within minutes). Request for clarification: "Waiting for Review" for nearly 7 weeks
I am writing to share my frustration regarding the app review process for my application. My current submission has been stuck in "Waiting for Review" for nearly 7 weeks, starting from February 5th. Although I have attempted to cancel and resubmit periodically, there were significant gaps of 10 and 21 days between submissions where no action was taken. Currently, I am stuck again. The situation is critical for the following reasons: Critical Bug: The update includes a necessary fix for an In-App Purchase bug that is preventing users from accessing paid features. No Communication: I have sent four inquiries regarding this delay. I received only one generic response asking me to wait, and my subsequent follow-ups have been completely ignored. Expedited Review Request: My requests for an Expedited Review have also gone unanswered. Apple’s standard review time is typically 24-48 hours, but my experience is far from that. I am not asking for special treatment; I am asking for basic transparency regarding why my app has been stalled for nearly two months. Could anyone from the review team please look into this or provide an explanation? This prolonged silence is causing significant issues for my service and its users. Apple ID: 6752595582 First Submission Date: Feb 5th

Unusually long “Waiting for Review” times this week (App Store + TestFlight delays?)
Hi everyone, I’m currently experiencing unusually long review waiting times and wanted to ask if others see the same behavior this week. My situation: • App Store update has been in “Waiting for Review” significantly longer than usual • A newly submitted build also seems stuck • TestFlight processing is slower than I normally see • Expedited review request and contact attempts didn’t change the status so far What confuses me is that I still see other apps receiving updates, so I’m unsure whether this is a broader review delay or something submission-specific. I’m not trying to escalate anything — just looking to understand if this is currently affecting more developers. Would really appreciate hearing about your recent experiences. Thanks and good luck to everyone waiting 🙂

Live Activity Silent Rendering Failure- Any Way to Detect Crash / Failure State?
Hi Apple Team, We are facing an issue with Live Activities where the UI intermittently fails to render and shows a loader or blank state. After extensive debugging, we’ve identified that the failure happens during the rendering phase inside the system process (WidgetKit / liveactivitiesd), but there are no actionable signals exposed to the app. Problem: Live Activity launches successfully After a few updates or under certain UI conditions, it: stops rendering shows a loader / blank UI sometimes disappears No crash logs are generated No MetricKit diagnostics available for the extension Console logs show: Invalid frame dimension (negative or non-finite) Archive was nil. LiveActivity will be empty Sometimes because of memory pressure too The extension process appears to terminate silently Challenge Currently, there is no way to detect from the app side that: the Live Activity has failed to render the extension process has crashed/terminated the UI is no longer being updated Questions Is there any callback, delegate, or lifecycle hook that notifies when: a Live Activity rendering fails the extension process crashes or is terminated by the system? Is there any recommended way to detect a “broken” Live Activity state (e.g., stuck loader / non-updating UI)? Are there any diagnostic APIs or logs we can rely on in production to identify such failures? Is this considered expected behavior under certain system constraints (e.g., memory/rendering limits), and if so, are there guidelines to proactively detect or mitigate it? Goal We want to: proactively detect Live Activity failure log it for monitoring optionally fallback or recover gracefully Additional context: We fixed all the issues and the live activity is pretty stable. But asking for methods to track & fix such cases.

Apple IAP issues
I am having constant issues with the IAP on my app. I have now, after several review rejections, created a brand new non-consumable in-app purchase product and updated the submitted build to use the new product identifier. We also updated the paywall so it no longer loops and instead shows fallback messaging plus manual retry/restore options when pricing is unavailable. However, in TestFlight and sandbox testing, StoreKit is still not returning the product details, so no localized price is available to display. This suggests the in-app purchase is not being returned by Apple’s review/sandbox environment rather than a client-side UI issue. Has anyone else had this issue and of so how did they resolve this?

App approved but subscriptions not working: Says localization was rejected without providing any reason
Submitted my app and it was approved by Apple. I then downloaded it from the app store and went through onboarding however when I tried to complete a purchase it failed. Went back to app store connect and saw that there is an issue with my subscriptions. Says localization is rejected but does not provide any reason why. Any ideas?? Everything worked fine with sandbox account.

`LockedCameraCaptureManager` practically unusable since iOS 26
Somewhere since iOS 26, the LockedCameraCapture framework gets in an unpredictable state after opening the main app from the LockedCamera extension using LockedCameraCaptureSession.openApplication(for userActivity:). (Feedback with sample code to reproduce: FB21966835) Opening the extension from the lock screen again doesn’t open the extension but puts the lock screen in a state as if it has. Content updated from LockedCameraCaptureManager.shared.sessionContentUpdates comes in inconsistently, usually needs the app to be opened again or the extension to be opened. This makes using this extension impossible for me as I use it to record video files that manually need to be imported when the app is launched (so not through PhotoKit). Does anybody have a suggestion to circumvent this issue or how to get this fixed?

vCard (.vcf) import on iOS not preserving PHOTO and X-SOCIALPROFILE — expected behavior?
I’m running an experiment around generating and importing .vcf files on iOS and wanted to sanity check expected behavior with others who may have explored this deeper. Goal Programmatically generate a vCard (v3.0) that, when imported into iOS Contacts, includes: Standard fields (name, phone, email, organization, etc.) Contact photo (PHOTO) Social profile (e.g., LinkedIn via X-SOCIALPROFILE) What I tested I tried to eliminate formatting issues by using iOS itself as the source of truth. Steps: Created a new contact directly in iOS Contacts Added name, phone, email Added a contact photo Added a social profile (LinkedIn) Exported that contact as a .vcf Deleted the contact from the device Re-imported the exported .vcf Result Core fields (name, phone, email, etc.) are restored correctly Contact photo is NOT restored Social profile is NOT restored as a native social entry This happens even though: The exported .vcf clearly contains a PHOTO field The exported .vcf includes X-SOCIALPROFILE;type=linkedin:... Additional testing I also generated my own .vcf files that closely mirror the structure produced by iOS (field order, encoding, etc.), and observed the same behavior: Photo does not reliably import Social profiles do not appear as native social entries in Contacts Question Is this expected behavior on iOS? More specifically: Are PHOTO fields intentionally ignored (or restricted) during .vcf import? Is X-SOCIALPROFILE supported for import, or only used internally/exported by Contacts? Is there any supported way to programmatically create a contact with: a photo social profile entries via .vcf import? Current understanding Based on testing, it appears that: iOS may export more data than it will accept on import Some fields (like social profiles and possibly photos) may only be fully supported when created via native APIs (e.g., Contacts framework) rather than .vcf Would appreciate confirmation or any documentation pointers if this is known behavior or if there are recommended alternatives. Closing thought If this is by design, it would be helpful to know which vCard fields are officially supported for import vs. export on iOS, since the current behavior is not entirely symmetric.

Trying to renew apple developer account after 2 years expiration
I recently renewed my Apple Developer account after a 2-year expiration and updated my payment details. I also received the new license agreement and accepted it. However, my account is still not marked as active, and I’m currently unable to deploy my app via TestFlight. I have already tried contacting support via email and phone but have not received a response yet. This issue is blocking our development and release process. Could you please advise on how to resolve this or escalate the case? Thank you in advance for your support.

Transaction.currentEntitlements sometimes does not emit a result until device is reboot
I have the typical StoreKit 2 manager class, where I check currentEntitlements for subscription. I have filed a feedback (FB22349195), I hope someone can take a look at it. func updateCustomerProductStatus() async { var activeSubscription: String? = nil // BUG: In some cases the currentEntitlements does not emit a transaction until the device is reboot for await result in Transaction.currentEntitlements { print("Found transaction: \(result)") // This print does not appear until a restart! do { let transaction = try checkVerified(result) // Skip revoked transactions if transaction.revocationDate != nil { print("Skipping revoked transaction for \(transaction.productID)") continue } // Skip expired subscriptions if let expirationDate = transaction.expirationDate, expirationDate < Date() { print("Skipping expired subscription for \(transaction.productID)") continue } // Check product type switch transaction.productType { case .autoRenewable: activeSubscription = transaction.productID default: break } } catch { print("Unable to verify transaction: \(error)") } } // Update state once after processing all entitlements self.activeSubscription = activeSubscription print("updateCustomerProductStatus() activeSubscription: \(activeSubscription ?? "nil")") } There is some unexpected behavior where the currentEntitlements does not emit a result until the iPhone device is reboot. This bug appeared in iOS 26.4 (and in the betas).

NSFileWrapper data loss bug in Foundation on macOS Tahoe 26.4.1
There appears to be a data loss bug in NSFileWrapper on macOS 26.4. It may have been around longer but I just never noticed ... So I write a RTFD file wrapper: NSFileWrapper *rtfd = [attributedString RTFDFileWrapperFromRange:NSMakeRange(0, attributedString.length) documentAttributes:@{NSDocumentTypeDocumentAttribute:NSRTFDTextDocumentType}]; Now IF I use -writeToURL:options:originalContentsURL:error: without using the NSFileWrapperWritingAtomic option and I pass in an existing URL, the followings happens: -The method returns NO and populates the NSError with NSFileWriteFileExistsError, as expected. This is what I want. -BUT the existing file is nuked. It just disappears. Foundation kills it. Poof. Another thing I gotta workaround. Getting pretty ridiculous, I must say. Just my lucky day I guess. It would be wonderful if I could work on my own features and fixing my own bugs.

Stuck with DSA Review in progress
App ID: 6761302938 I've provided the DSA compliance, but it is stuck in the "In review" state. I tried to contact Apple Development Support but mail is never responded and three calls yesterday took over an hour each, without talking to anybody. Today, both mail and call support seems blocked "responseId": "8ec9XXXX056", "resultCode": 1200, "resultString": "You are not allowed to perform this operation. Please check with one of your Team Admins, or, if you need further assistance, please contact Apple Developer Program Support. https://developer.apple.com/support", "userString": "You are not allowed to perform this operation. vCard (.vcf) import on iOS not preserving PHOTO and X-SOCIALPROFILE — expected behavior?

Live Activity creates successfully but never displays on lock screen or Dynamic Island ( iOS 26.4.1, Xcode 26.4)
Environment: Xcode 26.4 (17E192) iOS 26.4.1 iPhone 15 Pro Project uses PBXFileSystemSynchronizedRootGroup (Xcode 26 format) Setup: Widget Extension target named ModusWidgetExtension Bundle ID: com.calvin.Modus.ModusWidget NSSupportsLiveActivities = YES in both main app and widget extension Info.plist Live Activities enabled in Settings → Modus Live Activities enabled in Settings → Face ID & Passcode → Allow Access When Locked Background App Refresh enabled Push Notifications capability on both targets ActivityAttributes struct added to both targets via file target membership Behaviour: ActivityAuthorizationInfo().areActivitiesEnabled returns true Activity.request() succeeds and returns a valid activity ID No error is thrown Nothing appears on lock screen or Dynamic Island in foreground or background Widget preview in Xcode renders correctly for all presentations (compact, minimal, expanded, lock screen) Console output from liveactivitiesd filtered logs: "Foreground process is permitted to update activity" "XPCInputParticipant has no activity for update" (ERROR — repeated) "Received state update for [app<com.calvin.Modus>], running-active-NotVisible" The activity is being created and the system is receiving state updates, but the widget extension is not rendering it. The XPCInputParticipant error suggests the widget extension process cannot find the activity created by the main app.
