Bug: Channels erroneously populated when sending audio from an iPhone to a linux gadget audio device.
I have a device which is using linux gadget audio to receive audio input via USB, exposing 24 capture channels. This device works well with Mac, Windows, and Android phones. However, when sending audio from an iPhone (both USB-C iPhones and lightning iPhones using an official Apple lightning -> usb adaptor) I am seeing strange behaviour. Audio which is sent from the iPhone to any one of inputs 12, 19, 20, 21, or 22 appears in all of those channels, rather than only the channel to which audio is routed. I have confirmed on my linux device that these channels are not being erroneously populated by the software running on that device; the issue is visible in audio recorded directly from the gadget using arecord, meaning it is present in the audio being sent from the iPhone. I have confirmed that the gadget channel mask is correct for 24 channel audio (0xFFFFFF). As said above, audio routed to this device from any non-iPhone device (Mac, Windows, Android) works fine. The only sensible conclusion seems to be that the iPhone is populating the additional channels erroneously due to some bug in CoreAudio's handling of gadget audio devices. I would appreciate any insight on this from Apple developers, or from anyone else who has come across this issue and found a workaround.

DPLA violation warning + sudden ranking drop (no further response from Apple)
Hi everyone, We recently received a DPLA violation warning (Section 11.2) from Apple related to potential manipulation of App Store ranking, reviews, or search index. Shortly after receiving the notice: Our app is still live on the App Store However, all rankings (Top Charts and keyword rankings) dropped significantly or disappeared entirely We have already: Conducted an internal audit of our marketing and user acquisition activities Stopped any campaigns that might be interpreted as incentivized installs or abnormal traffic Responded to Apple via email with corrective actions However, we have not received any further response from Apple. We would like to ask: Has anyone experienced a similar situation? How long did it take for rankings to recover (if they did)? Did Apple ever follow up, or was recovery purely algorithmic over time? Any insights or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

View Navigation Title Disappears on watchOS Target When Built With Xcode 26+
I have a SwiftUI view in a watch companion app, and when I build my app with Xcode 26.2 or 26.3, the navigation title on a presented screen disappears after the watch screen goes dark. So, the navigation title is only visible when the screen is first presented and not again after the watch screen goes dark, for example when the user lowers their arm. Please see the screenshots for a better understanding. Notice that the "Bench Press" text is not visible in the third image. Also, I’ve confirmed that this does not happen when the app is built with Xcode 16.4. First Image (initial presentation of the screen): Second Image (watch screen goes dark): Third Image (watch screen goes back on, title missing): Although I've confirmed that this is related to Xcode versioning, and it happens on multiple screens, here is the redacted version of this SwiftUI view that is shown in the screenshots, in case it helps: var body: some View { NavigationStack(path: $viewModel.pushedViews) { TabView(selection: $selectedTab) { ... ZStack { List { ForEach(Array(viewModel.setModels.enumerated()), id: \.element) { index, setModel in VStack(spacing: 8.0) { SetContentView() } } ... } .listStyle(.plain) .buttonStyle(.plain) VStack { WatchRestTimerView(viewModel: viewModel.restTimerViewModel) Spacer() } } .tag(WatchExerciseLoggingTab.logExercise) // HERE IS THE TITLE SET .navigationTitle(viewModel.name) NowPlayingView().tag(WatchExerciseLoggingTab.nowPlaying) } .tabViewStyle(PageTabViewStyle()) .navigationDestination(for: WatchWeightAndSetExerciseSummaryPushedView.self, destination: { _ in RedactedView() }) } } This prevents me from migrating to Xcode 26, I would also appreciate if anyone has a work around until there is a fix for this, I mean I can stop using navigation title and add a Text at the top but it is not quite the same UI experience we get from the navigation title in a watch app.

App update showing status as "In review" for 17 days
Hello, Our application has been stuck in the "In Review" status for 17 days now, and we are looking for guidance on whether this is a known technical stall or an extended policy audit. The Issue: The app moved from "Waiting for Review" to "In Review" on March 25th. Since then, there has been no change in status and no messages in the Resolution Center. App ID: 6753868146 Thanks

Unable to add new user
I've created a new user under "Users and Access". The first time, the email was sent to the intended user, however when they click the link, they only get spinning wheel. The second attempt was using their personal gmail account. The invitation was sent but has not been received by the team member. This has been tried twice now. Is there anything we can do to get this sorted? Thanks.

Music streaming app with external payment only – EEA compliance question
Hi everyone, I'm developing a music streaming app for iOS and I have a question about App Store guidelines before I submit. Here's how my app works: The app has a signup screen and a login screen There are NO in-app purchases at all Users pay for their subscription on our external website (a separate web app) Once they've paid on the website, they log into the iOS app to listen to music The app itself contains no payment flow, just an external link directing users to our website to subscribe My company is based in France (EU/EEA). My questions: Is this external-payment-only model permitted under current App Store Review Guidelines? Since I'm in the EEA, do I need to apply for an External Purchase Link Entitlement (StoreKit External Purchase Link), or can I operate without it since payment happens entirely outside the app? Is there a difference between simply not having any payment in the app vs. actively linking users out to a website for payment? I want to get this right before submitting. Any guidance from Apple engineers or developers who've dealt with this would be really appreciated. Thanks!

StoreKit access in keyboard extensions
Hello Apple team, We would like to access the user's available purchases from the keyboard extension. Making purchases directly from the keyboard is a great benefit, but we assume it is intentionally disabled to prevent abuse or fraudulent purchase attempts. What we care about the most is determining if the user has an item that contains a discount or a free trial to personalize messaging when we suggest the user go to the app and make a purchase. We hope you'd consider revising your policy around StoreKit usage.

iTunes Search API returning 404 for /search endpoint - April 16, 2026
Is anyone else seeing a sudden outage with the iTunes Search API (https://itunes.apple.com/search) today? As of this morning (April 16), all my requests to the /search endpoint are returning HTTP 404 Not Found. I've tested across multiple countries (us, gb, fr) and entities (software, iPadSoftware), but they all fail with the same error. Interestingly, the /lookup endpoint (e.g., https://itunes.apple.com/lookup?id=[APP_ID]) is still working perfectly fine. What I've checked so far: Apple System Status page is "All Green" (as usual). Tried different IP addresses/regions to rule out local blocking. Tested simple queries like term=car to rule out specific keyword issues. Questions: Are you guys seeing 404s as well, or is it just me? Has anyone heard of a sudden migration or deprecation notice for this legacy endpoint?

browser.commands: Empty browser action reference causes conflicts
To provide users the ability for a keyboard shortcut to open extensions, you can define this in manifest: "commands": { "_execute_browser_action": { "description": "Open extension popup" } }, This doesn't set a keyboard shortcut yet allows the user to assign one. However, in iOS safari, when two extensions offer this functionality, the browser warns about it. See screenshot:

Driverkit driver hangs on macOS
Hello, I have crated a DriverKit driver for macOS and iPad M-series if I ever get the mac driver working. I have the correct entittlements, and matching provisioning profile downloaded manually. The driver loads (no errors!), and is visible in ioreg below the usb device (when plugged). The issue is that I never get any log from the driver, have reduced to minimal working code (below). When I debug with lldb, I load the symbols for my driver and break on init and Start - but lldb never triggers == never calls start or init. This is also why no logs. When I unplug the device, the driver process (ps aux) keeps running, causes a hard crash of the Mac with dext remove/or kill driver.dext process. I have asked Claude - but its just running in circles: check Info.plist=ok, check entitlements=ok, check code (minimal)=ok, check iig=ok, check provisioning profile=ok, check build settings=ok, check ioreg=ok, check code signature=ok, start over I don't get any log from my driver, which is consistent with init() not being called. All logs from kernel & friends (AMFI) do show the driver loading - no errors. Any tips appreciated! // USBDriver.iig #ifndef USBDriver_h #define USBDriver_h #include <USBDriverKit/IOUSBHostInterface.iig> class USBDriver: public IOService { public: virtual bool init() override; virtual void free() override; virtual kern_return_t Start(IOService * provider) override; virtual kern_return_t Stop(IOService * provider) override; }; // USBDriver.cpp #include <os/log.h> #include <DriverKit/DriverKit.h> #include "USBDriver.h" bool USBDriver::init() { if (!super::init()) return false; os_log(OS_LOG_DEFAULT, "terminal.driver: init()"); return true; } kern_return_t IMPL(USBDriver, Start) { os_log(OS_LOG_DEFAULT, "terminal.driver: Start()"); kern_return_t ret = super::Start(provider); if (ret != kIOReturnSuccess) { os_log(OS_LOG_DEFAULT, "terminal.driver: super::Start failed: 0x%08x", ret); return ret; } os_log(OS_LOG_DEFAULT, "terminal.driver: Start() success"); return super::Start(provider); } kern_return_t IMPL(USBDriver, Stop) { os_log(OS_LOG_DEFAULT, "terminal.driver: Stop()"); return super::Stop(provider); } void USBDriver::free() { os_log(OS_LOG_DEFAULT, "terminal.driver: free()"); super::free(); }

HCE not working in Testflight Builds
We have enabled the Host Card Emulation (HCE) capability for our app and successfully implemented and tested the functionality during development. When running the app directly from Xcode, HCE-related flows work as expected. However, we are observing different behavior in the distributed build. In particular, the following check consistently evaluates to false: guard await CardSession.isEligible else { return } After distributing the app via TestFlight, HCE functionality is not available for external testers. The CardSession.isEligible property always returns false, even when tested on supported devices and in supported regions. We are using the same bundle identifier for both development and distribution builds, and the provisioning profiles include the required capability. Could you please clarify the following: Are there any additional entitlements, approvals, or configuration steps required for HCE to function in TestFlight or distribution builds? Are there known region, device, or account-related restrictions that could cause CardSession.isEligible to return false outside the development environment? Is there any difference in behavior between development-signed and distribution-signed builds for this capability?

All Apps Showing “Removed from Sale” Suddenly – No Changes Made
Hi everyone, We are currently facing an issue in our App Store Connect account where all of our production apps are suddenly showing the status “Removed from Sale.” This happened unexpectedly, and: We did NOT make any manual changes to app availability No recent app rejections or guideline violations were received Agreements, Tax & Banking section shows no pending actions TestFlight builds are still working fine We also have not received any clear communication from Apple explaining the reason for this. This is affecting all our live apps and impacting business operations. Has anyone else faced a similar issue recently? Could this be related to account-level restrictions or any recent policy updates? Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Enrollment stuck on "Pending complete your purchase" for 6 days, payment confirmed
Hello, I enrolled in the Apple Developer Program as an individual and my account has been stuck in a pending state for 6 days with no progress. What I'm seeing: Account status shows Pending in the top-right dropdown The portal displays a banner: "Purchase your membership. To continue your enrollment, complete your purchase now. Your purchase may take up to 48 hours to process." It has now been well past 48 hours (6 days) Payment status: Payment was successfully charged confirmed on my bank statement I received an official receipt from Apple with an order number No refund or reversal has been issued What I've tried: Waiting the advertised 48 hours (now 6 days past) Signing out and back in Opened a case via Account Help no response yet I'd prefer not to click "complete your purchase now" since payment has already been captured and I don't want to risk a duplicate charge. I have raised ticket on 12th of April and received no reply. Requested call backs waited almost 2+ hours across 3 calls no agent connected. Has anyone experienced this specific state where payment is confirmed on Apple's side but enrollment remains pending indefinitely? Any staff member who can point me toward the right resolution path would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

SwiftUI Catalyst Resizable Sheet
I am porting a macOS app to SwiftUI Catalyst and have run into a usability issue. On macOS, presented sheets are user resizable. On SwiftUI macOS, they are also resizable, but on Catalyst, they are not. Does anyone have a good reference on how to make a sheet resizable under SwiftUI Catalyst?

Apple has negged my developer account docs for 6 months. How do I get someone on the phone? I had moved the company’s jurisdictions from EU to USA so it is a new Apple Developer account. In truth, I would rather just update my original account to the new company in USA but I can’t do that either.

Any tips appreciated! // USBDriver.iig #ifndef USBDriver_h #define USBDriver_h #include <USBDriverKit/IOUSBHostInterface.iig> class USBDriver: public IOService { public: virtual bool init() override; virtual void free() override; virtual kern_return_t Start(IOService * provider) override; virtual kern_return_t Stop(IOService * provider) override; }; // USBDriver.cpp #include <os/log.h> #include <DriverKit/DriverKit.h> #include "USBDriver.h" bool USBDriver::init() { if (!super::init()) return false; os_log(OS_LOG_DEFAULT, "terminal.driver: init()"); return true; } kern_return_t IMPL(USBDriver, Start) { os_log(OS_LOG_DEFAULT, "terminal.driver: Start()"); kern_return_t ret = super::Start(provider); if (ret != kIOReturnSuccess) { os_log(OS_LOG_DEFAULT, "terminal.driver: super::Start failed: 0x%08x", ret); return ret; } os_log(OS_LOG_DEFAULT, "terminal.driver: Start() success"); return super::Start(provider); } kern_return_t IMPL(USBDriver, Stop) { os_log(OS_LOG_DEFAULT, "terminal.driver: Stop()"); return super::Stop(provider); } void USBDriver::free() { os_log(OS_LOG_DEFAULT, "terminal.driver: free()"); super::free(); }

Guideline 5.1.1 - Nike vs Small Brands
My app was declined for violation of Guideline 5.1.1. I'm very confused though, because a shopping app like Nike is permitted to not allow anyone into their app if they don't "Sign Up/Log In", yet my client a smaller first time app maker, isn't allowed to do the same? Why is it okay for a company like Nike to do it but not smaller brands?
