Icon Composer app icon appears correctly in Xcode/Composer, but App Store shows it inside a square tile
Hello, I created my app icon with Icon Composer and use the .icon file directly in my Xcode project. The preview in Icon Composer looks as expected, but the icon on the App Store has a different appearance. For reference: .icon file is used directly no separate background image was added background was set with fill in Icon Composer the difference appears on the App Store side Has anyone seen this before? I’m trying to understand whether this is related to App Store processing, caching, or Icon Composer background setup. I’ve attached: Any guidance would be appreciated.

Icon Composer preview and App Store icon look different
Hello, I made my app icon with Icon Composer and added the .icon file directly to my Xcode project. I noticed that the icon preview in Icon Composer looks one way, while the icon shown on the App Store looks different. Details: I am using the .icon file directly in the project I am not using an exported PNG for the app icon I did not add a separate background image The background was set with fill in Icon Composer The preview in Icon Composer looks as expected The App Store version has a different appearance I would like to ask whether this difference may come from: App Store processing caching or a recommended Icon Composer setup for background fill If anyone has seen something similar, I would appreciate any guidance. I can also share screenshots of the Icon Composer preview and the App Store result.

Technical risks of swapping between UITableViewDiffableDataSource and UITableViewDataSource on UITableView
I am currently migrating an app from the classic UITableViewDataSource to UITableViewDiffableDataSource. In certain complex cases, I find myself needing to toggle between the UITableViewDataSource and UITableViewDiffableDataSource on a single UITableView instance. Apple's official documentation for UITableViewDiffableDataSource contains a strict warning: "Do not change the dataSource on the table view after you configure it with a diffable data source. If the table view needs a new data source after you configure it initially, create and configure a new table view and diffable data source." I’m seeking clarification on: Internal State: What specific UIKit caching or internal state is corrupted if we nil out the diffable source and re-assign a classic one? Background Processes: Does the background diffing engine pose a risk (race conditions/crashes) if the source is swapped while a diff is calculating? The "Safe" Reset: If swapping is truly necessary, is there a verified cleanup sequence (e.g., clearing snapshots first) that avoids the need to recreate the UITableView entirely?

External Purchase Link Entitlement RU - 500 Internal Server Error
Hello, We are a Russian developer attempting to enable the StoreKit External Purchase Link Entitlement for our app. According to Apple’s documentation, this entitlement is required to provide external purchase links in Russia. However, the official request page consistently returns a 500 Internal Server Error: https://developer.apple.com/contact/request/storekit-external-entitlement-ru Steps we tried: Different browsers (Safari, Chrome, Edge) Different networks and VPNs Multiple developer accounts The error persists in all cases. We have already opened a support case (Case #102864703080), but Developer Support advised us to post here for technical guidance. Questions: Is there an alternative way to submit the entitlement request while the page is unavailable? Can Apple confirm whether this is a known issue and if a fix is in progress? Are manual submissions via the general Contact Us form accepted for this entitlement? Screenshots of the error are attached. Thank you in advance for any guidance.

Questions Regarding Apple's Third-party SDKs Signature Policy
Hello, I have a question regarding Apple's policy on third-party SDK signatures. I have reviewed the official documentation here: https://developer.apple.com/support/third-party-SDK-requirements/ Our app is developed in the following environment: Minimum Target: iOS 15 Xcode: 26.2 Engine: Unreal Engine 4.27.2 We are integrating the Firebase SDK into our project. However, we are experiencing app crashes caused by an issue within the GoogleAdsOnDeviceConversion.xcframework included in the Firebase SDK (related to a memory optimization issue in UE4). According to an official response from the Firebase team, this crash can be resolved by wrapping the Firebase SDK in a dynamic XCFramework. We have confirmed that this solution does indeed fix the crash. The problem is that wrapping the Firebase SDK in a custom dynamic XCFramework removes all of the original Firebase SDK signatures. The documentation on third-party SDK signatures, which I referenced earlier, states that a signature is required for the Firebase SDK, and this requirement also applies when repackaging it. This leads me to the following questions: Question 1: When we wrap and repackage the Firebase SDK, is it mandatory for the resulting XCFramework to still include the original Google LLC signature? Question 2: To resolve the crash, we intend to use the Firebase SDK by wrapping it in our own dynamic XCFramework (e.g., FirebaseWrapper.xcframework). When we do this, the resulting XCFramework loses the Google LLC signature, and consequently, the final built IPA's signature list does not contain any Firebase-related signatures. Will this be a reason for rejection during App Store review? Question 3: If we wrap the Firebase SDK in a dynamic XCFramework and then sign it with our own developer certificate, would this be a reason for rejection during App Store review?

How flexible is my app's age rating?
My current app is a smoking cessation app and it is desgined to help people quit smoking for good. Currently users of the app are expected to set a quit date and then remain quit from cigarettes for 12 weeks. The app helps with this by using badges, notifications and even live chats to stop smoking professionals (depending on your area). The app "frequently" mentions smoking and tobacco, but it never promotes it. It does the opposite. By mentioning the harms of smoking and the benefits of stopping. The app also mentions (and can provide, depending on your area, medical history and a professionals final opinion) about nicotine replacement therapy, which users who are quitting smoking may be interested in. Currently the app is rated 18+ as I have to tick "frequent" mention of drugs/tobacco/alcohol in the age rating questionnaire. Though it does not mention recreational drugs or alcohol. We will soon be adding a large update to the app to add vaping support. The app will change largely in the fact smoking content and vaping content will be siloed from each other. So a user can either be on a smoking support journey (and see stop smoking content), or a vape support journey (and only see vaping content). We need the app to be 13+ on the store and we will enforce age restrictions using the declared age range API as part of the account creation process. If the user is aged 13 - 17, they will only see vape related content, if they are 18+ they can see vaping OR smoking. How negotiable is the age rating certificate, can we change it to 13+ if we implement age restrictions in the app and protect stop smoking related content behind it?

Xcode Cloud resolve packages crash
It's my first time I am configuring the Xcode cloud to build my project. Here is the crash and stack trace Stack trace One thing I noticed when I setup Xcode Cloud - it asked me to grant access to every public github library I have as dependency, I can't do that, as I am not owner or member of those libraries (firebase, swift algorithms, etc) when I tapped "Continue" there was an alert saying if I continue without granting access CI might not be able to fetch dependencies

AVMetricMediaResourceRequestEvent returns error but no URLSession metrics for failed HLS playlist/segment requests
Hello, I am using AVMetrics to monitor HLS playback requests from AVPlayer, specifically AVMetricHLSPlaylistRequestEvent and AVMetricHLSMediaSegmentRequestEvent. These events provide an AVMetricMediaResourceRequestEvent. For successful requests, I can read URLSession metrics. However, when a request fails, the event contains an error but no URLSession metrics. I reproduced this by intercepting HLS playlist and segment requests with Charles Proxy and forcing failures on both the simulator and a physical device. Is this expected behavior? If so, is there any supported way to get timing details for failed HLS requests? I am using code like this: for try await event in playerItem.metrics(forType: AVMetricHLSPlaylistRequestEvent.self) { // ... } for try await event in playerItem.metrics(forType: AVMetricHLSMediaSegmentRequestEvent.self) { // ... } Also, the example shown in the WWDC session does not compile for me (XCode 26.2). I get the following error: Pack expansion requires that '' and 'AVMetricEvent' have the same shape let playerItem: AVPlayerItem = ... let ltkuMetrics = item.metrics(forType: AVMetricPlayerItemLikelyToKeepUpEvent.self) let summaryMetrics = item.metrics(forType: AVMetricPlayerItemPlaybackSummaryEvent.self) for await (metricEvent, publisher) in ltkuMetrics.chronologicalMerge(with: summaryMetrics) { // send metricEvent to server }

I can't activate my membership and I'm having a strange problem.
Hello everyone, I'm having trouble with my Apple Developer Program registration and need any help. I received an email from Apple Developer Support stating that my application was rejected because my company website was deemed unusable or invalid. However, my website is active, publicly accessible, and fully functional. The email asked me to submit a new registration application. But when I log into my Apple Developer account, I don't see an option to submit a new application. Instead, I'm redirected to the membership payment page. I completed the payment yesterday, but after payment I still see the same page and the message stating that the process may take up to 48 hours. I also requested a support call from Apple, but haven't been able to connect with anyone yet. At this point, I'm confused: Is my original registration still active? Is my payment being processed normally? Do I still need to submit a new application somehow? Has anyone experienced a similar situation or knows the best next step? Thank you.

Good morning NSPersistentCloudKitContainer share URL stays nil and mirroring repeatedly resets after CKError.zoneNotFound on stale Core Data share zone
I am debugging a CloudKit sharing issue in an iOS app that uses NSPersistentCloudKitContainer with Core Data backed sharing. The symptom is that collaboration/share creation appears to succeed locally, but the resulting CKShare never gets a server-backed URL. UICloudSharingController therefore cannot proceed because share.url remains nil. (I do see the UICloudSharingcontroller Dialog and am abble to select people to share, one executed the share icon in the message window just spins After adding extensive logging, it looks like the real problem is not the sharing UI itself, but that Core Data + CloudKit mirroring is already in a bad state before share presentation begins. What I am seeing: Repeated CloudKit import failures with CKError.partialFailure The partial failure always contains one stale share zone with: • CKError.zoneNotFound • server message: "Zone does not exist" Core Data then repeatedly logs: • NSCloudKitMirroringDelegateWillResetSyncNotificationName • reason: ZoneDeleted • followed by a full mirroring reset Only after that reset loop do I attempt to prepare the collaboration share fetchShare(object:) returns a share record named cloudkit.zoneshare participants is 1 but share.url remains nil forever, even after polling for ~20 attempts / ~20+ seconds Representative log sequence: CoreData+CloudKit ... Fetch finished with error: <CKError ... "Partial Failure"... partial errors: { com.apple.coredata.cloudkit.share.33781809-778A-461C-ABAB-872746C8F80D:defaultOwner = <CKError ... "Zone Not Found" (26/2036); server message = "Zone does not exist"> }> NSCloudKitMirroringDelegateWillResetSyncNotificationName reason: 'ZoneDeleted' NSCloudKitMirroringDelegateDidResetSyncNotificationName reason: 'ZoneDeleted' Preparing collaboration share for cruise 'Share 658' Fetching existing collaboration share for cruise 'Share 658' Fetch existing collaboration share result: found record='cloudkit.zoneshare' url='nil' participants='1' You cannot get the URL of a share until it's been saved to the server Collaboration share URL polling attempt 1/20 ... ... Collaboration share URL polling attempt 20/20 ... Collaboration share 'cloudkit.zoneshare' never produced a URL Important detail: This stale-zone Zone Not Found / ZoneDeleted reset cycle happens before the collaboration flow starts, so it looks like sharing is running inside an already unhealthy mirroring state rather than causing the corruption itself. Questions: Is this a known failure mode where a deleted/stale Core Data CloudKit share zone can keep the mirroring delegate in a reset loop and prevent newly fetched/created CKShare objects from ever receiving a server URL? Is there an Apple-recommended way to recover from this in development besides deleting the app / resetting local data / clearing CloudKit development data? Is there any supported way to identify and purge stale share metadata or orphaned Core Data share zones without fully resetting the local store? If fetchShare returns a CKShare whose record exists locally as cloudkit.zoneshare but url stays nil, does that generally mean the share was never fully saved to the server, or can mirroring-reset churn itself prevent the URL from materializing? Environment: • iOS app • Core Data + NSPersistentCloudKitContainer • CloudKit sharing enabled • issue observed in development environment At this point my working theory is: • stale/deleted share zone in CloudKit development environment • NSPersistentCloudKitContainer import repeatedly hits zoneNotFound • mirroring resets continuously • collaboration share can be fetched locally but never becomes server-backed enough to produce share.url If anyone from Apple or anyone who has hit this exact ZoneDeleted reset loop has guidance on the correct recovery path, I’d appreciate it.

WebKit.WebContent killed by jetsam (memorystatus ActiveHard 2048 MB limit) on iPhone 17 Pro with 12 GB RAM during heavy CSS animations — does NOT happen on iPad
com.apple.WebKit.WebContent process is being killed by the kernel’s memorystatus jetsam mechanism when it exceeds the ActiveHard 2048 MB limit, even though the iPhone has 12 GB physical RAM and hundreds of thousands of free pages available. This causes the exact same WebProcess → GPUProcess crash that was reported in thread 822200, but now the root cause is clearly visible in the kernel log. The crash only occurs on iPhones, never on iPads (even older ones). Environment Failing devices: iPhone 17 Pro (12 GB RAM) x 2 — iOS 26.3, 26.4, 26.4.1 Working devices (same page, same iOS): iPad Pro 2018 — iOS 26.1 (stable) iPad Pro 2025 — iOS 26.4 (completely stable) Reproduces in Safari and in WKWebView (Capacitor/Ionic app) Actual Logs (kernel + WebKit) `logApr 15 21:23:33 iPhone kernel[0] : memorystatus: com.apple.WebKit.WebContent [1596] exceeded mem limit: ActiveHard 2048 MB (fatal) Apr 15 21:23:33 iPhone kernel[0] : memorystatus: killing process 1596 [com.apple.WebKit.WebContent] in high band FOREGROUND (100) - memorystatus_available_pages: 196999 0x1110ec640 - [PID=4689] WebProcessProxy::didClose: (web process 0 crash) 0x1110ec640 - [PID=4689] WebProcessProxy::processDidTerminateOrFailedToLaunch: reason=Crash 0x117048018 - [pageProxyID=7, webPageID=8, PID=4689] WebPageProxy::processDidTerminate: (pid 4689), reason=Crash 0x1130e8640 - [PID=0] WebProcessProxy::gpuProcessExited: reason=IdleExit ... (multiple RBSRequestErrorDomain Code=4 "Target process has a higher termination resistance..." errors)` Expected Behavior With 12 GB RAM and ~197k free pages, the WebContent process should not be killed at only 2 GB. The same heavy animation page runs stably on iPad (which apparently has a higher ActiveHard limit for WebKit). Additional Notes This is not a leak in the web page itself — the crash happens even when total system memory is plentiful. The 2048 MB ActiveHard limit appears to be applied specifically to iPhone device class, while iPad gets a more generous budget. The issue has existed since at least iOS 26.3 and affects both Safari and embedded WKWebView. This seems like an overly aggressive jetsam policy for WebKit on iPhone compared to the available hardware. Could the WebContent process’s memory limit be increased for modern iPhones (12 GB+ models)? Increased Memory Limit not worked for com.apple.WebKit.WebContent. I can only add this to my app. Thank you!

How To Install on a Personal Device
Developer Help says: Do I need to enroll in the Apple Developer Program to install apps on a device? No. You can install apps on your personal device with Xcode. Yet Xcode 26.4 says: Signing for "Never Forget" requires a development team. Select a development team in the Signing & Capabilities editor. Can someone help me understand this? A developer account isn't required, yet a development team (in a developer account) is? 🤷

My App Review Rejection
I am doing my app for review to publish for the first time, and I did multiple fixes. I lastly got a generic response for the fixes already done. Now unable to figure out what exactly to fix. Can any help be provided by the reply below I received [Apple Reply] Guidelines 5.1.1(i) - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and 5.1.2(i) - Legal - Privacy - Data Use Issue Description The app appears to share the user’s personal data with a third-party AI service but the app still does not clearly explain what data is sent, identify who the data is sent to, and ask the user’s permission before sharing the data. Apps may only use, transmit, or share personal data after they meet all of the following requirements: Disclose what data will be sent Specify who the data is sent to Obtain the user’s permission before sending data Identify in the privacy policy what data the app collects, how it collects that data, all uses of that data, and confirm any third party the app shares data with provides the same or equal protection Next Steps If the app sends user data to a third-party AI service, revise the app to explain what data is sent, identify who the data is sent to, and ask the user’s permission before sharing personal data with a third-party AI service. If it does not already, the app’s privacy policy must also identify what data the app collects, how it collects that data, and all uses of that data, including if it is shared with a third-party AI service. Note that only including this information in the app's Terms of Service or Privacy Policy is not sufficient. If the app does not send user data to a third-party AI service or does not include a third-party AI service, reply to this rejection to confirm and add this information to the App Review Information section of App Store Connect.

Project xcodeproj file can no longer by iCloud Sync
Following an unexpected error message while working in Xcode, the project file xcodeproj is no longer synced in iCloud Drive. The Finder shows a cloud icon with a ! and an error message : (NSFileProviderErrorDomain error -2005.) If the local file is zipped, and unzipped elsewhere on iCloud Drive, then the unzipped file can still not be iCloud Synced. Restoring the file from a Time Machine archive does not solve the issue. Apple Care Support finds that iCloud Drive is working fine except for this xcodeproj file and says the issue is Xcode related.

How negotiable is the age rating certificate, can we change it to 13+ if we implement age restrictions in the app and protect stop smoking related content behind it?

iOS crash: EXC_BAD_ACCESS in iOS 26+ when mouting/dismounting WebView
I'm experiencing a native crash on iOS 26+ with WebKit with title: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS).

Hello, I am using AVMetrics to monitor HLS playback requests from AVPlayer, specifically AVMetricHLSPlaylistRequestEvent and AVMetricHLSMediaSegmentRequestEvent. These events provide an AVMetricMediaResourceRequestEvent. For successful requests, I can read URLSession metrics. However, when a request fails, the event contains an error but no URLSession metrics. I reproduced this by intercepting HLS playlist and segment requests with Charles Proxy and forcing failures on both the simulator and a physical device. Is this expected behavior? If so, is there any supported way to get timing details for failed HLS requests? I am using code like this: for try await event in playerItem.metrics(forType: AVMetricHLSPlaylistRequestEvent.self) { // ... } for try await event in playerItem.metrics(forType: AVMetricHLSMediaSegmentRequestEvent.self) { // ... } Also, the example shown in the WWDC session does not compile for me (XCode 26.2). I get the following error: Pack expansion requires that '' and 'AVMetricEvent' have the same shape let playerItem: AVPlayerItem = ... let ltkuMetrics = item.metrics(forType: AVMetricPlayerItemLikelyToKeepUpEvent.self) let summaryMetrics = item.metrics(forType: AVMetricPlayerItemPlaybackSummaryEvent.self) for await (metricEvent, publisher) in ltkuMetrics.chronologicalMerge(with: summaryMetrics) { // send metricEvent to server }

NEURLFilter Not Blocking urls
Hi I tried to follow this guide https://developer.apple.com/documentation/networkextension/filtering-traffic-by-url I downloaded the sample app and put our pir service server address in the app. The service is already running and the app is connected to the pir service but the url is still not blocked. We tried to block example.com. Is there anything that we need to do in iOS code? This is the sample when there's dataset This is the sample when there's no dataset

The issue is that I fill the spaces to pay, but I never receive the email for actually the bill, so I do not pay and receive the enrol. How do I fix it?
