Wrong value for storekit custom purchase link allowed regions entitlement
Greetings fellow devs, After accepting the Alternative Terms Addendum for Apps in the EU and adding the Storekit External Purchases or Offers capability via App Store Connect in our app identifier, the entitlement showing up in xcode is com.apple.developer.storekit.custom-purchase-link.allowed-regions and has the value 'jp'. How can we change the value for that entitlement to 'gr'? We tried changing it in xcode, but we get the error <Provisioning profile "iOS Team Provisioning Profile: [app identifier]" doesn't match the entitlements file's value for the com.apple.developer.storekit.custom-purchase-link.allowed-regions entitlement.>. In Certificates, Identifiers and Profiles in the developer account there is no way to configure that capability. We sent a request to support and they only gave a link to documentation and to the forum here. We have a completed every business agreement requested and we have chosen Greece as the organisation region and the app's availability region wherever possible. We haven't found anywhere that Japan would be chosen to explain the entitlement given. So where can this entitlement about allowed regions be configured? Xcode version is 16.4 and iOS minimum deployments is 18

WebKit.WebContent killed by jetsam (memorystatus ActiveHard 2048 MB limit) on iPhone 17 Pro with 12 GB RAM during heavy CSS animations — does NOT happen on iPad
com.apple.WebKit.WebContent process is being killed by the kernel’s memorystatus jetsam mechanism when it exceeds the ActiveHard 2048 MB limit, even though the iPhone has 12 GB physical RAM and hundreds of thousands of free pages available. This causes the exact same WebProcess → GPUProcess crash that was reported in thread 822200, but now the root cause is clearly visible in the kernel log. The crash only occurs on iPhones, never on iPads (even older ones). Environment Failing devices: iPhone 17 Pro (12 GB RAM) x 2 — iOS 26.3, 26.4, 26.4.1 Working devices (same page, same iOS): iPad Pro 2018 — iOS 26.1 (stable) iPad Pro 2025 — iOS 26.4 (completely stable) Reproduces in Safari and in WKWebView (Capacitor/Ionic app) Actual Logs (kernel + WebKit) `logApr 15 21:23:33 iPhone kernel[0] : memorystatus: com.apple.WebKit.WebContent [1596] exceeded mem limit: ActiveHard 2048 MB (fatal) Apr 15 21:23:33 iPhone kernel[0] : memorystatus: killing process 1596 [com.apple.WebKit.WebContent] in high band FOREGROUND (100) - memorystatus_available_pages: 196999 0x1110ec640 - [PID=4689] WebProcessProxy::didClose: (web process 0 crash) 0x1110ec640 - [PID=4689] WebProcessProxy::processDidTerminateOrFailedToLaunch: reason=Crash 0x117048018 - [pageProxyID=7, webPageID=8, PID=4689] WebPageProxy::processDidTerminate: (pid 4689), reason=Crash 0x1130e8640 - [PID=0] WebProcessProxy::gpuProcessExited: reason=IdleExit ... (multiple RBSRequestErrorDomain Code=4 "Target process has a higher termination resistance..." errors)` Expected Behavior With 12 GB RAM and ~197k free pages, the WebContent process should not be killed at only 2 GB. The same heavy animation page runs stably on iPad (which apparently has a higher ActiveHard limit for WebKit). Additional Notes This is not a leak in the web page itself — the crash happens even when total system memory is plentiful. The 2048 MB ActiveHard limit appears to be applied specifically to iPhone device class, while iPad gets a more generous budget. The issue has existed since at least iOS 26.3 and affects both Safari and embedded WKWebView. This seems like an overly aggressive jetsam policy for WebKit on iPhone compared to the available hardware. Could the WebContent process’s memory limit be increased for modern iPhones (12 GB+ models)? Increased Memory Limit not worked for com.apple.WebKit.WebContent. I can only add this to my app. Thank you!

Xcode to play a Sound when a fault is logged
Hi I have an Xcode project in which I am logging (os log) some faults when an error occurs. While developing I would like to notice it when the fault occurs. Questions Are there are better approaches to be alerted (sound or other means) when a fault occurs? My attempts so far: Add fault log and filter for faults Add breakpoint and play sound when breakpoint encountered Disadvantages with fault filtering: Though I can filter for faults sometimes I often need to look at debug messages. Having a lot of debug messages I am lost, yes I can filter but might forget to do it during every build Disadvantages with breakpoints: Sometimes I tend to delete breakpoints and might accidentally delete this breakpoint to play a sound

Unable to load App into TestFlight
This is my first in-App purchase App. I have other paid Apps and my business status are all active. I tested the in-app purchases on my devices using a StoreKit file and Xcode. I removed the StoreKit file from run configuration Scheme, I added in-app purchases to Signing & Capabilities then archived, validated and uploaded build to AppStore connect. I added two testers - a sandbox account (gmail subaddressed) and another gmail account. When I try to load the App using TestFlight I immediately get "couldn't load App". This is an App that previously had no in-app purchases. I added in-app after version 1 (tested ok in TestFlight). Now trying to test version 3 in TestFlight. Any insight would be appreciated.

IPA export fails - No provisioning profile found for App Store distribution
Hi, I'm trying to build an App Store IPA for my Flutter app on Mac M4 without a physical iPhone connected. STEP 1 - I tried Automatic Signing in Xcode but got: "Communication with Apple failed. Your team has no devices from which to generate a provisioning profile." "Xcode couldn't find any iOS App Development provisioning profiles matching my bundle ID." STEP 2 - I switched to Manual Signing in Xcode. No warnings or errors shown in Xcode UI. Everything looks fine in Signing & Capabilities. But when I run this command in terminal: flutter build ipa I get this error: Building App Store IPA... Encountered error while creating the IPA: error: exportArchive "Runner.app" requires a provisioning profile. My Setup: Mac M4 Flutter (flutter build ipa) Paid Apple Developer account No physical iPhone connected Building for App Store distribution Question: How do I successfully export an IPA for App Store distribution without a physical device on Mac M4? Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Apple IAP issues
I am having constant issues with the IAP on my app. I have now, after several review rejections, created a brand new non-consumable in-app purchase product and updated the submitted build to use the new product identifier. We also updated the paywall so it no longer loops and instead shows fallback messaging plus manual retry/restore options when pricing is unavailable. However, in TestFlight and sandbox testing, StoreKit is still not returning the product details, so no localized price is available to display. This suggests the in-app purchase is not being returned by Apple’s review/sandbox environment rather than a client-side UI issue. Has anyone else had this issue and of so how did they resolve this?

Shortcuts: Can not access submenu of inserted variables inside of newly created dictionaries on mac
While I was creating a shortcut using the dictionary function I encountered a bug. When creating a new dictionary to store the date and some other stuff I set a value to the current date variable. I went to change the date format to one I preferred I was unable to access the submenu to do so. To figure out what was going on I did some testing and here is what I found: You can't access the submenu of any inserted variable This only happens in newly created dictionaries You can be fix the dictionary by simply closing and opening the shortcut This bug does not happen on Iphone How to make this bug happen: Open any shortcut Create a new dictionary Add a variable in the value field You can no longer access the sub menu to edit the variable.

vCard (.vcf) import on iOS not preserving PHOTO and X-SOCIALPROFILE — expected behavior?
I’m running an experiment around generating and importing .vcf files on iOS and wanted to sanity check expected behavior with others who may have explored this deeper. Goal Programmatically generate a vCard (v3.0) that, when imported into iOS Contacts, includes: Standard fields (name, phone, email, organization, etc.) Contact photo (PHOTO) Social profile (e.g., LinkedIn via X-SOCIALPROFILE) What I tested I tried to eliminate formatting issues by using iOS itself as the source of truth. Steps: Created a new contact directly in iOS Contacts Added name, phone, email Added a contact photo Added a social profile (LinkedIn) Exported that contact as a .vcf Deleted the contact from the device Re-imported the exported .vcf Result Core fields (name, phone, email, etc.) are restored correctly Contact photo is NOT restored Social profile is NOT restored as a native social entry This happens even though: The exported .vcf clearly contains a PHOTO field The exported .vcf includes X-SOCIALPROFILE;type=linkedin:... Additional testing I also generated my own .vcf files that closely mirror the structure produced by iOS (field order, encoding, etc.), and observed the same behavior: Photo does not reliably import Social profiles do not appear as native social entries in Contacts Question Is this expected behavior on iOS? More specifically: Are PHOTO fields intentionally ignored (or restricted) during .vcf import? Is X-SOCIALPROFILE supported for import, or only used internally/exported by Contacts? Is there any supported way to programmatically create a contact with: a photo social profile entries via .vcf import? Current understanding Based on testing, it appears that: iOS may export more data than it will accept on import Some fields (like social profiles and possibly photos) may only be fully supported when created via native APIs (e.g., Contacts framework) rather than .vcf Would appreciate confirmation or any documentation pointers if this is known behavior or if there are recommended alternatives. Closing thought If this is by design, it would be helpful to know which vCard fields are officially supported for import vs. export on iOS, since the current behavior is not entirely symmetric.

Apple managed asset pack for FoundationModels adapter on Testflight does not download (statusUpdates silent)
Hi, I'm stuck distributing a custom FoundationModels adapter as an Apple-hosted managed asset pack via TestFlight. Everything looks correctly configured end to end but the download just never starts and the statusUpdates sequence is silent. Here's my configuration: App Info.plist: <key>BAHasManagedAssetPacks</key><true/> <key>BAUsesAppleHosting</key><true/> <key>BAAppGroupID</key><string>group.com.fiuto.shared</string> Entitlement com.apple.developer.foundation-model-adapter on both the app and the asset downloader extension. The asset downloader extension uses StoreDownloaderExtension , returning SystemLanguageModel.Adapter.isCompatible(assetPack) from shouldDownload , and the app group on app and asset download extension is the same. I have exported the adapter with toolkit 26.0.0, obtaining: adapterIdentifier = fmadapter-FiutoAdapter-1234567 I have packaged the asset pack using xcrun ba-package and uploaded it to App Store Connect via Transporter, and I get the "ready for internal and external testing" state on App Store Connect, and I have uploaded my app build on TestFlight after the asset pack was marked as ready. I used this code: let adapter = try SystemLanguageModel.Adapter(name: "FiutoAdapter") let ids = SystemLanguageModel.Adapter.compatibleAdapterIdentifiers(name: "FiutoAdapter") // ids == ["fmadapter-FiutoAdapter-1234567"] for await status in AssetPackManager.shared.statusUpdates(forAssetPackWithID: ids.first!) { } I expect the download to start and the stream to yield first .began, then .downloading(progress) and .finished. Actually, compatibleAdapterIdentifiers returns the correct ID, the stream is correctly acquired but i get zero events, so no .began/.downloading/.failed/.finished. Important things: I don't get any error in Console as well; I tested this as an internal tester on TestFlight Tested on iPhone 16 Pro, running iOS 26.3.1 - more than 50GB of free space Apple Intelligence is enabled and set in Italian Background downloads are enabled. I've already checked if the adapter identifier matches regex fmadapter-\w+-\w+ , i tried to reinstall the build, rebooting the device, reupload the asset pack, and also checked that the foundation models adapter entitlement is present on both targets. Is there a known way to diagnose why statusUpdates is silent (no log subsystem seems to show why) in this exact configuration? Is there maybe any delay between asset pack approval on App Store Connect and availability to TestFlight internal testers that I do not know of? I've checked other threads for applicable solutions and I've found that this is similar to the symptom reported in this thread: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/805140 / (FB20865802) and also i'm internal tester and on stable iOS 26.3.1, so the limitations from this thread: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/793565 shouldn't apply. Thanks

Cant update account information or switch to org membership
Hi everyone, I need to update the "Membership details" of my Apple Developer account and for some reason it won't let me. When I click on "Update your information" and select either "Change contact details" or "Switch to organization membership" I just get redirected to https://developer.apple.com/unauthorized This is an old account I'm trying to re-activate, my Apple Developer Program membership has expired. Will renewing the membership solve this? I want to "Switch to organization membership", Will I have to pay again for this? Thanks!

Bug Reporting: How and Why?
I file a lot of bug reports. I also ask a lot of third-party developers to file bug reports about problems they see. This post is my attempt at collecting together some hints and tips about Apple’s bug reporting process. To file a bug report, use Feedback Assistant. To file an enhancement request (ER), use Feedback Assistant. In the “What type of issue are you reporting?” popup, choose Suggestion. If you’re filing a bug against an API, choose Developer Technologies & Resources at the top level. The technologies popup should then list familiar items, from Accelerate Framework to XPC. If you can’t find the correct item, select “Something else not on this list”. Feedback Assistant is both a website and an app. For details on how to access the app, see Opening the app on the Developer > Bug Reporting page. For lots of great hints and tips about filing bugs, see File effective bug reports. I may repeat some of the info covered by that article, but only where I think it’s particularly important. After filing a bug report, please include the bug number in your DevForums post. Feedback Assistant shows the bug number in both the bug list and the bug detail view. Bug numbers start with FB and continue with a sequence of digits. For example, a recent bug report posted here on DevForums was FB11357055. Including the FB prefix avoids any confusion as to what type of bug number this is. Occasionally you’ll see other types of bug numbers. In release notes they are just in parens, so (99071807), and in DTS documents they have an r. prefix, so (r. 99071807). These are Radar numbers. Radar is the internal bug system here at Apple. Other developers can’t see your bug report. However, posting the bug number is still important for a couple of reasons: It allows Apple folks to quickly track down your issue. If another developer wants to file a related bug, they can reference your bug number in their bug report. You can share bug reports with other members of your team. For details on how to do that, see Collaborating with your team on the Developer > Bug Reporting page. Otherwise you can’t see a bug report filed by another developer, or one filed internally at Apple. One option here is to file your own bug and request that it be marked as a duplicate of the original bug. You’ll then be notified when the original bug is closed. The File effective bug reports article discusses the importance of including a sysdiagnose log with your bug report. I have a few additional tips: Include a sysdiagnose log from the machine that’s having the problem. Sometimes I see folks with an iOS problem include a sysdiagnose log for their development Mac )-: Include a sysdiagnose log even if you attach a test project that reproduces the problem. The contents of the log help with screening, making sure that your bug gets to the right person quickly. And that person will be very grateful to have your test project! If multiple machines are involved — for example, you’re reporting a Handoff problem — include a sysdiagnose log from each machine. Trigger the sysdiagnose log as soon as possible after you see the problem. The sooner you trigger the log, the more likely it is to capture relevant info. If the problem is hard to reproduce, see Using a Sysdiagnose Log to Debug a Hard-to-Reproduce Problem for hints on how to capture an actionable sysdiagnose log. If you install a debug profile, install it before you reproduce the problem. These profiles typically enable more logging, and you want that logging to be active at the time of the problem. Most profiles activate immediately but some require that you restart. Follow the instructions that came with the profile. When reproducing the problem, make a rough note of the time and include that in your bug report. This doesn’t have to be super precise. Just note down the time, with seconds, shortly after you reproduce the problem. If the bug involves a crash, reproduce the crash outside of Xcode and then take your sysdiagnose log. This means running your code as the user would, so running an app from the Finder on macOS, running an app from the Home screen on iOS, and so on. If you reproduce the crash inside Xcode, the Xcode debugger catches the crash and prevents the system from generating a crash report to include in the sysdiagnose log. File focused bug reports. Imagine you’re seeing two problems, A and B, related to the same API. Don’t file a single bug that covers both A and B. Rather, file separate bugs for A and B. Feel free to reference your A bug in your B bug, and vice versa. Finally, some personal notes: DevForums is not an official support channel. Mentioning a problem here is not the same as filing a bug about it. That’s true even if you’re discussing your issue with an Apple person. Apple is a big company, and it’s very unlikely that the person you’re talking to is directly responsible for fixing your bug. Historically I used to post a lot of Radar links, of the forms rdar:nnn, where nnn is the bug number. I no longer use these links because I’ve found that they confuses folks. They click the link and wonder why it does nothing. If you post an FB number here, DevForums automatically turns it into a link. However, that link is only useful to you. Other folks can’t access the bug via that link. I’ve filed a bug against DevForums requesting that it only generate this link for the bug’s originator (r. 92946014). In the meantime, I work around this by putting FB numbers in code style, which disables this link generation. If you want to share bug information outside of DevForums, one popular option is Open Radar (https://openradar.appspot.com/). Apple uses a lot of open source and many open source projects maintain their own bug tracker. Two big examples are Swift and WebKit. If your bug originates in such an open source project, consider filing it in the project’s bug tracker. You can then go on to submit a pull request with the fix (-: Share and Enjoy — Quinn “The Eskimo!” @ Developer Technical Support @ Apple let myEmail = "eskimo" + "1" + "@" + "apple.com" Revision History 2026-04-20 Added ER as a shortcut for enhancement request. 2025-08-07 Updated “Developer Technologies & SDKs” to “Developer Technologies & Resources”. 2024-03-07 Made minor editorial changes. 2023-10-26 Added a link to Using a Sysdiagnose Log to Debug a Hard-to-Reproduce Problem. Apple reviewer not seeing product pricing in paywall
Hello, I have a perplexing issue with apple reviewers not having the same experience as myself regarding the paywall. This is an Expo app and uses RevenueCat and SuperWall integrations. This app is going through its first review - it is not published yet. So the app and its subscriptions are being reviewed for the first time. I should also mention that this is my first time as an app developer, so please pardon my ignorance. When I install the app from TestFlight and launch it, I see the paywall with the product prices shown and I can complete a test purchase. Same for my friends who I've asked to test for me. But the apple reviewer does not see the product prices when the paywall is shown to them. Without being able to replicate the problem I am flying blind. I don't want to re-submit the app for review only to find the same problem exists. I also need to understand what is different between my testing environment and the apple testers. If anyone can point me in the right direction here I would really appreciate the help!

Is continuous background GPS tracing during device idle allowed?
We want to implement continuous GPS tracking in a React Native iOS app for security purposes. We need the tracing in the following case scenarios: App is Terminated App is minimised (Not killed) App is open and device is put to sleep mode #Locked App is in minimised and device is put to sleep mode #Locked (sleep mode) Currently it works in following 2 scenarios: Working when the app open in foreground Works when the app is killed (Traces in background) We would like to understand: Is continuous background location tracking during device idle allowed in iOS ? If allowed, what is the recommended approach to ensure reliable tracking? Are there any specific configurations, permissions, or limitations (battery optimization, system restrictions) we should be aware of? We are using React-Native by transistersoft with background location updates enabled and required permissions configured. This use case is specifically for user safety and security tracking. Any guidance on best practices and platform limitations would be helpful.

Request for clarification: "Waiting for Review" for nearly 7 weeks
I am writing to share my frustration regarding the app review process for my application. My current submission has been stuck in "Waiting for Review" for nearly 7 weeks, starting from February 5th. Although I have attempted to cancel and resubmit periodically, there were significant gaps of 10 and 21 days between submissions where no action was taken. Currently, I am stuck again. The situation is critical for the following reasons: Critical Bug: The update includes a necessary fix for an In-App Purchase bug that is preventing users from accessing paid features. No Communication: I have sent four inquiries regarding this delay. I received only one generic response asking me to wait, and my subsequent follow-ups have been completely ignored. Expedited Review Request: My requests for an Expedited Review have also gone unanswered. Apple’s standard review time is typically 24-48 hours, but my experience is far from that. I am not asking for special treatment; I am asking for basic transparency regarding why my app has been stalled for nearly two months. Could anyone from the review team please look into this or provide an explanation? This prolonged silence is causing significant issues for my service and its users. Notarization Submission Stuck “In Progress” for 24+ Hours on New Developer ID Account
I’m looking for guidance on a notarization submission that has been stuck in In Progress for over 24 hours. Questions: Is this normal for a first notarization on a new Developer ID account? Is there anything I should do besides wait? Can Apple check whether this submission is stuck in the queue? Thanks.

To figure out what was going on I did some testing and here is what I found: You can't access the submenu of any inserted variable This only happens in newly created dictionaries You can be fix the dictionary by simply closing and opening the shortcut This bug does not happen on Iphone How to make this bug happen: Open any shortcut Create a new dictionary Add a variable in the value field You can no longer access the sub menu to edit the variable.

iOS crash: EXC_BAD_ACCESS in iOS 26+ when mouting/dismounting WebView
I'm experiencing a native crash on iOS 26+ with WebKit with title: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS). vCard (.vcf) import on iOS not preserving PHOTO and X-SOCIALPROFILE — expected behavior?

Details: Team ID: 94B7AVM73F Certificate: Developer ID Application: Bilal Ahmed Qureshi (94B7AVM73F) Tool: xcrun notarytool File: FlashcardGeneratorTrial-AppleSilicon.dmg Submission ID: 7817f9d0-32da-452f-9e2d-fff43478ccf6 Submission created: 2026-04-17T22:10:01.402Z Current status: xcrun notarytool info still reports In Progress This has now been ongoing for more than 24 hours The submission uploaded successfully and received a valid submission ID The Developer ID certificate is valid and correctly paired with the private key in Keychain security find-identity -v -p codesigning returns 1 valid identity Environment: First-time notarization on this developer account macOS direct distribution outside the Mac App Store DMG signed with Developer ID Application certificate Hardened runtime and timestamp enabled during signing I’ve seen some other recent reports of long notarization delays, especially for first-time submissions, so I’m trying to understand whether this is expected queueing / in-depth analysis, or whether there may be an issue with this specific submission. Questions: Is this normal for a first notarization on a new Developer ID account? Is there anything I should do besides wait? Can Apple check whether this submission is stuck in the queue? Thanks.
